LEOTA!!!!!!! leota is absolutely a musical person she loves the bright, fun ones like mamma mia, hairspray, and rocky horror. i think she could also convince adrian to get into them too, but he’d be more into like chicago, moulin rouge, or like sweeney todd. but they’d BOTH go see phantom together and lose their mf minds over it
for stranger things i think eddie for sure would be into musicals, but he’d be very selective and secretive about his appreciation. i’m thinking cabaret and little shop of horrors for him, but the version of little shop where the world is taken over by zombies.
max and lucas would also absolutely go see musicals together, like any musical. for them it’s about the experience of like being in a theatre and collecting the playbills but they do have a handful of faves like jersey boys (catch lucas dancing like frankie valli to make max laugh) & spamalot

Artista, musicista e pioniere nella sperimentazione multimediale, Roberto Paci Dalò è stato tra i primi in Italia e in Europa a individuare le connessioni tra tecnologia e teatro, e già dagli anni ’80 si è occupato di progetti che spaziano dall’ambito sonoro a quello cinematografico, radiofonico e performativo. Ha presentato le sue opere in spazi istituzionali, come il Teatro Argentina di Roma, o il Valli di Reggio Emilia, in musei come il Mao di Torino, la Biennale di Göteborg, il festival Ars Electronica di Linz, per ricordarne solo alcuni, ma anche in centri sociali o in luoghi indipendenti, con modalità volutamente frammentarie per raggiungere i pubblici più diversi.Uno dei suoi ultimi progetti è dedicato a Hannah Arendt, figura di riferimento imprescindibile per il pensiero politico del XX secolo. Un progetto che ha assunto le forme dell’installazione interattiva, della performance radiofonica, del workshop e podcast, ascoltabile dal sito della radio austriaca. Con HA, questo è il titolo del podcast, Paci Dalò ha composto una sorta di ritratto acustico di Arendt, lavorando su piccole cellule sonore della sua voce trasformandole in un soundscape in cui «la voce è elemento che libera il linguaggio dal vincolo dell’ordine simbolico», come scriveva Elias Canetti, autore molto vicino a Paci Dalò.
«HA» è il risultato di un lungo processo di composizione e montaggio che ha trasformato la voce di Arendt in un dispositivo sonoro immersivo, in cui diversi volumi e riverberi hanno creato una drammaturgia sonora, che è un viaggio acustico e immaginifico. Può spiegarci come è nato il progetto?
Nel 2018 sono stato invitato da Adriaan Eeckels del Joint Research Centre, l’hub della ricerca scientifica della Commissione europea, per partecipare a una sessione di lavoro con artisti internazionali e scienziati. Nel campus, dove lavorano circa tremila scienziate e scienziati, a Ispra sul Lago Maggiore, ho incontrato Nicole Dewandre che mi ha trascinato nel «vortice Arendt». Essendo un benjaminiano, ho sempre desiderato entrare nel pensiero di Hannah Arendt. Al Joint Research Centre, dove ho potuto passare un lungo periodo di tempo in laboratori e centri avanzati di ricerca, ho deciso di entrarci attraverso la sua voce, prima ancora dei suoi testi. Per me è il vero ritratto di una persona, perché la voce non si maschera.
Hannah Arendt «HA» è stato presentato in diverse città europee, in forme e modalità differenti. Come sono state sviluppate le sue varie morfologie?
A Trieste per la mostra Both Ways ho realizzato un’installazione audio-video interattiva intrecciando la voce di Arendt con alcuni paesaggi sonori della città. Mi ero chiesto come, e se fosse possibile, ideare un corrispettivo audio dell’infografica. Per rispondere a questo interrogativo ho inventato un’infosonica dove i dati sono stati processati, privilegiando i suoni e l’ascolto all’immagine. Ho creato un database in cui ho unito la voce di Hannah Arendt a una cronologia di suoni e voci della città di Trieste, archiviati dal 1900 a oggi. Ho poi ideato un dispositivo che permettesse ai visitatori di diventare protagonisti, attivando i suoni stessi. Per la biennale Atlas of Transitions ho invece realizzato Hannah, una performance radiofonica in diretta, utilizzando i materiali sonori su cui stavo lavorando per portare a termine HA, che è ora un podcast, frutto di un laborioso processo in studio. Ho agito su cellule della voce di Arendt della durata di 2-4 secondi l’una, definendo per ciascuna di loro volume, equalizzazione, spazializzazione. Se pensiamo a questo moltiplicato per 52 minuti è possibile avere un’idea della stratificazione dell’opera.
HA è stato presentato in anteprima su Ö1 (il primo canale della radio nazionale austriaca) e ora è anche ascoltabile dal sito della radio austriaca.Come è nata e si è sviluppata la sua metodologia sperimentale per l’ambito radiofonico?
Sono debitore all’artista Robert Adrian (1935–2015), pioniere della scena artistica elettronica e delle telecomunicazioni col quale ho condiviso tanti anni di discussioni, progetti – e anche lo studio – a Vienna. E pure a Heidi Grundmann, la mia storica produttrice radiofonica alla Orf (Radiotelevisione nazionale austriaca), col programma Kunstradio, da lei creato nel 1987. È per merito loro, di Pinotto Fava e Pino Saulo con Audiobox a Radiorai, che sono vorticosamente caduto nel mondo di una radiofonia pensata come eclatante luogo di incontro di discipline. Tanti e pionieristici sono stati i progetti che ho realizzato dal 1989 ad oggi, l’ultimo dei quali è proprio HA.
I miei lavori hanno seguito i cambiamenti avvenuti in ambito artistico. L’avvento di internet ha inevitabilmente modificato le pratiche. La sua fluidità è positiva e negativa allo stesso tempo, perché il flusso incondizionato e immateriale necessita a mio avviso di «sedimentazioni» che passano, ad esempio, dall’editoria. Pubblicare un disco, un libro, un video, può dare una concretezza al flusso di informazioni.
È parte di questo processo di sedimentazioni anche il libro «Millesuoni. Deleuze, Guattari e la musica elettronica?». Nel volume si indaga la scena elettronica partendo dalla partecipazione di Deleuze, nel 1972, alla registrazione del disco «Electronique Guerrilla» degli Heldon….
Sì, lo posso considerare come uno dei miei progetti «principe». Con Emanuele Quinz abbiamo sognato un libro che parlasse del rapporto tra quei filosofi e la musica elettronica. Fino a quel momento non era uscito nulla di così specifico. Millesuoni ha avuto un’ottima diffusione anche nei centri sociali, è stato acquistato dai giovani, obbligando l’editore a una pronta prima ristampa. Ora siamo arrivati alla terza edizione ed è ancora in catalogo: questo mi fa pensare che il suo taglio non specialistico sia stata una giusta scelta.
Rispetto alle sedimentazioni, non ho mai abbandonato il disegno, che è la mia meditazione quotidiana. Un esempio è il libro Ombre, nato per volontà di Marco Pierini, direttore della Galleria nazionale dell’Umbria, che mi ha chiesto di realizzare un volume per festeggiare i cent’anni del museo, suggerendomi di illustrare alcune opere del museo sui miei taccuini Moleskine. Così, ho creato un libro disegnando «alla vecchia maniera», spostandomi nella sale della Galleria con uno sgabellino da pescatore e una piccola borsa con i miei strumenti: carta, matite, china, acquarelli. Ho voluto insistere sui dettagli, mutuando la lezione dallo storico dell’arte Daniel Arasse, scoperto grazie ai consigli di Guido Guidi.
Sempre rispetto alle sedimentazioni e agli approfondimenti vorrei ricordare che a fine gennaio verrà inaugurato Usmaradio – Centro di Ricerca Interdipartimentale per la Radiofonia, all’università della Repubblica di San Marino. Il centro fa tesoro dei miei progetti di questi ultimi trent’anni e del lavoro di Usmaradio, laboratorio di trasmissioni creative del presente, che è attivo dal 2017. È l’unico luogo di ricerca con queste caratteristiche in Italia (e non solo in Italia) e qui si intende investigare, in modo articolato, teoria e pratica della radiofonia.

Based on true events, the 1979 Italian nunsploitation film was one of the "Video Nasty" titles banned (though not prosecuted) in the UK. It’s directed by Giulio Berruti and stars Anita Ekberg, Joe Dallesandro, Alida Valli, and Lou Castel.
Killer Nun has been newly restored in 2K from the original 35mm camera negative. Both the English and Italian audio and credits are included. It features uncompressed mono 1.0 LPCM audio with newly-translated English subtitles.
