ive heard of "cameo shifts" or smth before , but seeing as phantom shifts are rare for us , the fact that wed get them for something we dont have a physical form of seems kind of strange .
twice now have we gotten a phantom wolf/dog muzzle . it felt somewhat like what these look like ? if that makes sense ? i tried finding pictures and these felt accurate i guess
we do not have a physical canine form . sure we can take the shape of a canine as a void but thats not a physical form we can take , like cat or vulture . its not something we should be getting phantom shifts for . weve never gotten any other phantom shifts for forms we dont have (or for non physical forms) , this has been the only one as far as i know .
so what does this muzzle belong to , and why does it appear ? it might just be nothing , but now that its happened twice im beginning to wonder . it was strange the first time , but i kind of brushed it off and forgot about it until now when it happened the second time . if it happens again ill start exploring it more .

The first time FCG cast Turn Undead (I think every this campaign), they didn't know it would effect Laudna, and they apologized after, and Laudna said "it's good". People collectively decided that he didn't acknowledge her, because this fandom loves ignoring canon for the sake of cheap angst. (Episode 69, timestamp 3:49:20)
The second time they cast it, they didn't acknowledge her after, and that was a dick move, but people immediately divorced it from all context, namely that they got crit the round prior, were down a lot of HP, and were surrounded by undead enemies who were actively killing him. Not being entirely polite and deferential to Laudna in that situation is entirely reasonable and understandable if you are not utterly incapable of empathizing with them.
The third time, and this is the one that REALLY gets me, the third time, HE LITERALLY ASKED IF HE SHOULD CAST TURN UNDEAD AND LAUDNA TELLS HIM TO DO IT. I am grabbing you by the shoulders and shaking you until your head pops off and rolls under the couch. LAUDNA TOLD THEM TO CAST IT. They asked, she determined they were undead, and told him to cast it. (https://www.kryogenix.org/crsearch/html/cr3-74.html#l1h16m9s)

hmm how do I put this. all media is inherently problematic in some way because the world is what it is and has the history that it has and every societal norm, belief and value pertaining to the past eras of the film industry—and even music and art and writing—will forever reflect in the products and as unfortunate as it is to have the history we do, we fundamentally cannot change that. there is no such thing as unproblematic media and there probably never will be and that’s okay and it doesn’t make you a bad person for enjoying media that might have some problematic or outdated elements, bc again, pretty much everything that we as a society created is going to have some problems.
sometimes media is problematic on purpose, like the entirety of TKAM, but with the intent on addressing the real life problems it reflects within the narrative. same goes for horror films or gore films. like, shockingly you don’t condone murder by watching or enjoying slashers. the point of the entire horror genre is to be scary and disgusting; the point of slasher villains is to be evil and wrong. but at the same time, sometimes you have to take a step back and wonder why a specific person or concept in a horror movie is being depicted as scary and disgusting and wrong and evil, like amputees or mentally ill people and queer people, and see how that reflects the real world—which is basically what the entire point of media literacy and critical thinking and purity culture is.
media literacy and critical thinking and purity culture don’t mean you have to avoid engaging with or enjoying problematic media at all costs. it doesn’t mean completely removing problematic elements from preexisting media and erasing the topics it might address— in fact, both of those things actively dull your critical thinking skills in general—and it especially doesn’t mean you’re suddenly justified in engaging with genuinely morally abhorrent content like lolicon or bestiality (both of which are examples of things typically portrayed in media as gross and wrong, and rightfully so). as much as anyone wants to pretend otherwise, fiction and reality go hand in hand as reflections of one another; reflections of society over time, of a person’s own experiences, etc, and to say that they don’t or that one doesn’t affect the other is quite literally the opposite of media literacy. lastly, to say media literacy or critical thinking aren’t important skills to have or that media should just stop depicting problematic things like violence or death is very very painfully wrong, as again, fiction and reality go hand in hand, and understanding a fictionalized version of reality serves us to better understand our actual reality.
thank you and goodnight

Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Cobra Kai (TV)
Rating: Explicit
Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings
Relationships: Cheyenne Hamidi/Terry Silver, John Kreese/Terry Silver
Characters: Cheyenne Hamidi, Terry Silver, John Kreese
Summary:
Terry is doomed.
He knows it the moment Johnny appears in his backyard.
He knows it the second he hears Johnny’s voice on the phone.
(He’s known it for far longer than that.)
Still, he tries to fight the inevitable. He tries to quell the ravenous beast reawakening inside him as he sits in the backyard of a home that never really felt like his own, at a luxurious party full of people he’d never really know, celebrating the nominal achievements of a woman who’d never truly understand him.
Funny that all it takes to flay him to the bone, exposing him as the fraud he’s always known himself to be, is a single look from John Kreese.
Alternatively: Johnny shows up out of the blue; Terry deals with it in his own way.
A/N: See AO3 for additional tags/warnings.

12. your OC overheard while drunk for Pavle

Mix and match as you please, pick the ones you like, and have a lovely day! ^^
oh boy thanks for the ask! it’s not quite what you asked for, but i hope it’s good enough!
[Ask Game]
Content Warnings
All: Alcohol
Third: Blood, Vomit, Trauma, Parental Death (you wanted angst ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯)
5. letters between two of your OC’s companions about them
L,
We have arrived in Antiva safely. To think, just a year ago, our mutual friend was complaining of Ferelden's sun, but here, she's buried herself under so many veils to keep from burning that we won't even need disguises.
You need not worry in the slightest for her safety. As I'm certain she's telling you in her own letter, we're only getting moderately overzealous in our missions. I'll be sure she returns to you in one piece after we've had our fun.
As a quick aside, what types of wines do you prefer? We ask for no particular reason.
-Z
12. your OC overheard while drunk
An fragment of unaddressed letter apprehended from a servant at Vigil's Keep detailing a drunken conversation overheard from outside the Warden-Commander's quarters:
"And have you heard about that bullshit with the Hawkes?"
"At length."
"The real cherry on top is that that Garrett's a mage. They sent me to fucking Ferelden for that, but he gets to inherit the family estate? What did he even do? Take a vacation to the Deep Roads? I did all that and stopped a Blight, and I can't even return home to the Marches without getting carried off to the Gallows!"
"Let's not get ahead of ourselves. As I recall, while I shlepped through the actual Deep Roads, you were drinking wine with the king-to-be. Hardly the same thing."
"You owe the Diamond Quarter a visit if you think what I was doing wasn't just as dangerous. I know what I need to do. I'll write that bastard cousin a letter. Let him know that I know!"
"Yeah sure, could be funny. You can use what's on my desk. Just try to reread it sober before sending it."
––An apostate Amell among the Grey Wardens but not one himself. Potential leverage? Unclear if Hawke yet made aware.
8. your OC’s doctor/healer talking about their injuries
I do have something planned for your suggestion, but because medical information can be so tricky, I'm waiting to put it in one of my fics for the Archive (Gathering Frays, should be, i think i've shared snippets from it before). It'll be a grander execution than i can fit here. Don't worry, you'll still get your angst today though ;) It's not quite doctor's notes, but it's the closest he gets in the alienage
An entry from Valendrian's journal:
24 Kingsway, 9:25 Dragon
Finola found Novhen in an alley by the south docks half-conscious, reeking of alcohol, and covered in his own blood and vomit. He's barely responsive. We've cleaned him up as much as we could but found several bruises and a developing black eye in the process.
I gave him bread and stew, but he couldn't muster himself to eat it until long after it had gone cold. When I offered to walk him to his home for the night, he only grew more distressed.
I believe Del's family has been sharing their meals with the Tabris household this past week. Tomorrow, I will go with them and speak to Cyrion, but I'm not hopeful it will be a productive conversation. He hasn't so much as left his bed since Adaia's passing. I understand his need to grieve, but I worry for Novhen. Maker only knows how much he saw to be affected like this.
He's currently sitting by my fire. I expect he'll still be in the same spot come morning. With any luck, he will be more able to speak then.
