Zoroark possession AU, except everyone relevant from Unova was actually born in Hisui. Pearl Clan lore has long warned of shifty Zoroark slipping their own young into human babies, taking their place. They’ve long since warded the Settlement to prevent this, and it’s proven effective for decades... until one night, a powerful blizzard destroys the wards, and a single Zoroark slips in with her kit under cover of the storm. Dawn breaks to find one of a pair of infants now has red around their eyes- the elders know what this means. The babe is a Zorua.
But Pearl Clan lore also warns of the vengeful wrath of the Zoroark mother if the babe is thrown out, like so many wish to do. Even worse, the children’s parents were killed in the storm- there is no one to look after them. Many volunteer to take care of the still human twin, but none want to care for the Zorua. Thankfully a solution arrives, in the form of Drayden- he has been living for years in the Highlands in the Warden’s tent since the death of his wife, the previous Warden. Although he was not chosen for the role after it, Lady Sneasler allowed him to continue to live there. He will take both infants.
It’s a relief! It means the Zorua can grow up somewhere far away from the Settlement. They hope it will leave on its own.
Drayden, however, has no intention of treating the Zorua babe coldly. It is just an infant, the same as his human twin. He names them Ingo and Emmet, and raises them both as his sons. The fact that Ingo looks at the world through red marked eyes will not change that.

um. hi. i'm sylvan. 23, he/him. i live in nimbasa city and i work at a flower shop. i spent eight years of my life traveling around different regions and trying to find, like, y'know... my purpose or whatever. and then i realized that maybe my purpose in life is to be a normal guy living an average life and loving my partner and pokémon a whole lot.
... that's a little cheesy, isn't it?

Hello! My name is N. I'm 24 years old, and I use any pronouns except for it/its. I'm Sylvan's partner, and we live together. We've been friends for four years, and have been dating for two. I don't use this app as frequently as Sylvan does, so you'll be hearing from him most of the time. I currently work at a Pokémon shelter, and I also do a variety of volunteer work when I can. I'm always looking for new formulas to bridge the gap between people and Pokémon and form my ideal world!

So here's another pokemon au I have in store.
It's called the Pokerus Organization au. In this universe, Ghetsis had discovered a way to use pokerus to turn people into obedient pokemon servants. After creating an organization that claims to be studying pokerus' effects on people in hopes to make medicine that can cure any ailment, Ghetsis gains the masses' trust and ends up having ten pokemon professors working alongside him. A few years go by and two professors named Turo and Sada begin to notice that many people have gone missing, mainly people who either volunteered to be tested on for the organization's research, people who publicly spoke against the organization, or people who simply worked the lower jobs at the organization, Turo and Sada became suspicious of their boss's true goals and decided to get to the bottom of it. Once the building was empty, Turo and Sada went around trying to find anything that would either confirm their suspension or confirm that it was all a coincidence, they eventually found a secret cellar that lead them to a lab full of people, all of which were in different stages of being turned into pokemon. "Oh dear Arceus, we need to tell everyone!" Said Sada. "Oh I'm afraid you're not going anywhere now that you two know my secret..." Said Ghetsis. The two were knocked out and turned into pokemon, Ghetsis announced that Turo and Sada went missing, that they were last seen by colleagues driving their way home, and that they and the police were trying everything they could to find them. Arven wasn't buying it however, so he, Penny, Nemona, and Fuyuko snuck in that night to figure out the truth where they were ambushed by Zoroark N and met the same fate as Turo and Sada, all six people would escape five years later but by that time it was too late and Ghetsis has taken over most of the world.
Their species.
Fuyuko: Meowscarada
Nemona: Midday lycanroc
Penny: Sylveon
Arven: Cyclizar
Sada: Koridon
Turo: Miraidon

obligatory pokémon trainer!könig brainrot because i picked up my switch for the first time in a year
he’d 100% volunteers part time to work at a pokémon daycare- people? not particularly a fan but has a big soft spot for taking care of their companions
ghost trainer- probably had fairy type and grass type pokémon at some point when he was younger but eventually sort of ended up being surrounded by ghost pokémon and just accepted it ( they’re just like him for real )
would have a team of bannette, aegislash, trevenant, hisuian zoroark, dusknoir, and mimikyu
names ALL of his pokémon, they all have names he gave them each on a whim when he first saw them
raised all of his team excluding bannette from their base forms, which he found creeping in an alley by an apartment complex and spent months earning the trust of by checking in on and eventually taking in as his own
sewing skills!!! more a general headcanon for him I have but he’s had to tailor so many of his clothes when he saw his mimikyu down over a tear in its disguise he swooped in to fix it on sight, he’s also made accessories for his other pokémon
you know how there’s leather jackets, gloves, turtlenecks, and boots in pokémon sw/sh character customization?? yeah he rocks those
okok I’m good for now that’s my word vomit ahaaaaah
OOOOOOO I LOVE THIS 🥺 I KNOW NEXT TO NOTHING ABOUT POKÉMON BUT I LOVE SEEING YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT IT ANON !! this all sounds so cute especially the sewing eeeee i'm gonna look all this up <33

Hey my zoroark volunteers here gardening at night and he Keeps bringing me the stuff he cleaned like weeds,rotten plants and dead plants etc for my garden is that okay with you? And if so can i bring stuff from my own garden for compost?
Professor Kryspyn: "Oh goodness! Might I just start by saying your Zororark is so well mannered, he is such a good comrade caring for things like that! I am pretty sure none of us would care at all in fact those weeds and such are being put to good use here for the mulching, and composting for the greenhouses really. I'm sure something could be worked out with Romaine on it, I'm not too sure what she would use weeds for but maybe she would be just fine with that too!"
Groundskeeper Romaine: "Thanks Kry." *Chuckles* "But Kryspyn is correct, your Zoroark Companion has been most helpful around the gardens and green houses here on Rejuven. With his shape-shifting illusions he can get to all sorts of crevices that others might have difficulty reaching. Volunteer work is a great way to support community or facilities; I'm guessing your joining the marauder division?"
*mumbles* "I think on one of the plans was to build a Marauder HQ and Volunteer facilities on Opal Crescent. I'll need to chat with the faculty members"
"Of course, it shouldn't be a problem at all!"

Something had to be done about warden Ingo.
Not about his memories or returning him to his homeland, because as sorry they could feel for his situation they had no way of helping with either of those problems - something more manageable.
About his hair.
Since he had been rescued and allowed to stay in the Pearl Clan, his hair had started growing out. And it had kept growing out. And it had continued to do so. As hair does. Which would have not been a problem if the man showed any signs of noticing that it was growing out and that he thought perhaps he should have given it a trim to keep it in check from time to time, but the more days passed the less he seemed concerned with it - if he was even aware of the disaster on his head at all.
At first it had been containable: Lian could easily tie it into a Stantler's tail with a headband, and young girls braided it when it began reaching below his shoulders.
But the way it had been previously cut caused the growth to be irregular at best and positively chaotic at worst, and as it just kept getting longer and longer the other wardens had realized a plan of action was necessary to prevent the strange man from becoming almost unrecognizable from a sopping wet Zoroark halfway through a transformation and ending up hunted for sport by frightened locals. The haunted vacuous look in his eyes would have done nothing to help the situation.
Lian, again, offered himself to cut the horrendous amount of not particularly clean hair. He was denied permission, because he was seven. Yes, he was also the warden of the Noble with enormous axes for hands, but this was different.
Gaeric tried a different approach: he could easily visualize within that Burmy's nest that was the other man's hair the roots for a massive and totallh sick pompadour-mullet hairstyle the likes of which had never before been seen by humankind, and instead of letting it go to waste he decided to break the idea to the interested party.
The grey haired warden fiddled with the visor of his cap: "That would hinder the position of my hat," he argued.
His hot tempered colleague shrugged: "Well, it is just a hat. You can always take it off."
Ingo stared at him dead in the eyes with a gaze that could have frightened a Ghost Pokémon to death.
"Never suggest something like that ever again." he ordered cooly.
So Gaeric's idea was scrapped.
The second volunteer for a proper cutting was rather surprisingly Lady Sneasler - who, while armed with a sweet sentiment, also had enormous hooked claws that could have accidentally decapitated the man, and as such was very kindly informed that the much smaller hands of the humans she oversaw would have been just fine for the task and she did not need to bother herself with these kind of frivolous matters.
Nobody asked Irida. She was so very busy already being leader, and playing hairdresser for some guy was out of the question.
(Also she only knew one way to cut hair.)
Calaba tried to take up the task: they collectively sat Ingo down, she got the scissors in hand, aimed for the sideburns, and almost chopped off his ear.
Palina decided maybe it was better if she was the one to try. She had at least some experience, trimming Arcanine's fur.
Starting from roughly the height of Ingo's lower ribs as he remained blissfully unaware of anything happening to him behind the empty glaze of his eyes, she struggled for a little while; at last, a considerate amount of silvery strands was laying down at her feet and the horrid mane was beginning to be finally placed under a semblance of control. She sighed in relief as she kept snipping away at larger and larger chunks, rising slowly right above his shoulders until-
The warden paled: “Oh fuck,” she whispered to herself, mortified, as between her fingers she clutched a strand that was way too long.
-
Arezu did not expect a small procession of Pearl Clan members to show up at her door. Iscan being the one to lead it was also confusing.
“They, uh,” he began, bashful, “They need help with, uhm. Hair.”
She blinked. She looked behind the his shoulder: her eyes fell on Ingo.
“Oh,” she furrowed her brows in a grimace: “They sure do.”
She took the horrendously haired man and shoved him on a seat, twirling scissors in her hand. In five minutes, Palina’s mistake was fixed; in ten, Ingo’s face was once again visible; in fifteen, his sideburns were reduced from literal bushes back to their vaguely original shape; in twenty, at last, his goddamned hair was back in a short, acceptable shape, and his hat could sit back upon his finally cleaner head.
The contact snapped him out of his daze, and he looked down at himself.
His hand pointed to his cut hair: “Whose fur is that?”
Lian opened his mouth; seeing the look Palina shot him, he closed it again.
“That’s... That’s your hair,” Iscan explained.
Ingo looked at him and shook his much lighter head: “My hair is not that long.”
“It sure as hell isn’t now,” Cabala replied bitterly.

absolutely dying to know to zoroark!ingo and emmet first encounter each other, if you're willing to share!!
This is subject to change, details of the reunion will change as other details of the story do (and frankly, this au is for fun so feel free to spin you own alt. endings and such!) but right know I imagine it to be a brief encounter in the dead of night.
The Silver Zoroark Research Squad has set up camp near the most recent sighting of the Zoroark. Emmet and Dawn are both there, although Dawn has yet to explain her connections to Ingo and theory that the Zoroark IS ingo (Zingo, if you will). Emmet didn't want to take all his pokemon on this trip, (he loves them all but they are big and this is a trip that will involve a lot of camping and sneaking around), so he just brings Eelektross and Chandelure...
Prof. Rowan is trying to figure out if Zingo is nocturnal or not, (his human brain says no, zoroark brain says yes, his sleep scheduled has seen better days,) so Emmet volunteers to go out looking for it tonight. (Emmet has ulterior motives. everyone knows this and are rooting for him to solve the mystery of his missing brother.) With chandelure to light his way, Emmet goes out into the forest, a slim crescent moon acting as the only other light. (emmet has a back up flashlight just in case, though. Not one to skip his safety checks!) He and Chandelure stumble upon a sad worn out little zubat, and while he doesn't know what's wrong, Chandelure seems inclined to help it, so he offers it a ride on his shoulder.
Meanwhile, Ingo is trying to help a nice little zubat find its twin. (A storm the other night had separated them. Ingo doesn't know why the tale nearly brought him to tears.) He's determined to reunite the zubat twins, so when he glimpses a ghostly light through the trees, he does not turn tail, for his ears picked up on the tell tale sound of a zubat's squeak! Calling for a lost sibling no less! They've hit pay dirt, and Ingo's so excited to reunite the two that it does not cross his mind that a human might be accompanying the zubat and obscured ghost pokemon. His own little zubat zips off to reunite with its twin and he races right behind it--
Emmet is walking along side Chandelure, the little bat on his shoulder squeaking out into the darkness occasionally. He's surmised it must be looking for someone-- he knows the feeling! Something finally happens: Chandelure stiffens, another zubat's excited squeaks are heard in the distance, growing ever closer, it bursts into the clearing and right behind it is--!
There's a man that looks like him--
The silver zoroark is here--
And that ghost pokemon! could it be his partner? the one who wields flames with mastery--?
That's really his hat. That's really ingo's hat! Why does the zoroark have it?! He should catch it, he can't let it get away, why is he freezing up--?!
The ghost pokemon is looking at him like it's seen a ghost. Ironic, really. The man in white looks about ready to faint, but the ghost is... easier to focus on. (less confusing. Doesn't make his heart ache as much) The ghost pokemon recomposes itself and makes to move closer, muttering "...It can't be... can it?" When did the forest start feeling so small, he has to go, he should go, why is he freezing up--?!
Emmet finally grabs a pokeball. The zoroark runs away.
Chandelure is too gob smacked to follow, but is feeling more hopeful than it has in a long time. Their tracks will cross again, it knows they will.

Part One
I decided to continue my story of Akari dying post-exile and Ingo finding her body.
The angst has not left the station.
Word Count: 2489
@blossomoranges I figured since you enjoyed the first part so much, you'd like to see the next part.
Irida stood by the outskirts of the settlement, by the bridge to Avalugg’s Legacy, watching for Ingo. Lady Sneasler’s warden was the sole clan member not yet present, which was odd. Irida thought that Palina would’ve been the last to arrive, given the distance between the Icelands and the Coastlands. While it is quite a trek down the Highlands, Lady Sneasler should have been able to help him reach the base relatively quickly.
“I think I see him!” Irida turned to look at Lian. The young warden had volunteered to help watch for Ingo. Thus, he was standing on the hill leading up to the settlement, to combat his stature and provide a better vantage point.
“What do you mean you think you see him?”
“Well, I’m not quite sure. It certainly looks like him, but he’s not wearing his coat and he’s carryin’ something – a person, maybe?”
That was a concerning statement; Ingo always wore the coat he had been found wearing. Perhaps this was a duo of Zoroark trying to trick the clan into letting them in, by playing as someone they trust and someone found injured? The clan leader turned back toward where she had been looking prior to Lian’s declaration, tense as she mentally prepared to fight them off. ‘Ingo’ crossed the bridge and stopped walking right in front of her.
“Hello, Lady Irida. I apologize for the delay in my arrival.”
Definitely a Zoroark. She had never heard Ingo speak so quietly in all the time she’s known him! Not to mention, he always looked her in the eye; right now, this imposter’s hat was pushed down to cover their eyes, with their head tilted toward the ground. Now, all there was to do was to out-trick it into giving itself away as a fraud.
“And what exactly caused this delay? I didn’t expect you to be the last one to arrive.”
“There was… there was… it was…” Irida had heard enough; clearly, the Zoroark was struggling to come up with an excuse. She ignored the part of her that pointed out the warble in its voice, like it was choking down tears that were on the verge of surfacing.
“Glaceon, use Bite!” ‘Ingo’ looked up in shock at that, just barely dodging out of the way of the attack.
“Lady Irida, what are you doing?”
“Do you honestly believe I’m that stupid? I’m not going to fall for your tricks, you Zoroark!”
“You think this is– I wish this were just some sort of illusion. Lady Irida, what can I say or do to assure that I am Ingo?”
“You can tell me something that only Ingo would know,” Irida said icily. ‘Ingo’ stood there for a moment, contemplating a response, before stating:
“When first I awoke in the settlement, I spoke at such a volume that you said I almost burst your eardrums.” Upon hearing that, the clan leader’s face flushed red in embarrassment; it also caused Lian to burst into a little fit of giggles, which caused her face to turn even redder.
“Okay, you’re the real deal. Well, let’s go; now that you’ve arrived, we can begin the clan meeting.” Irida started to head back in the direction of the settlement.
“Actually, Lady Irida, may I speak to you about something? I’ve been mulling it over on the way here, and I–” Irida turned back to face the amnesiac warden, to better hear what he had to say “–I do not believe I am fit to be a warden any longer.”
‘What? How could Ingo think that? He’s been nothing but an exemplary warden for the entire time he’s held the position.’ She expressed these sentiments aloud to him, but he just shook his head in disagreement.
“No, I failed. It’s my job to keep any passengers I have safe, and I failed her.”
‘Her?’ Up until that moment, Irida hadn’t really been focusing on what it was that Ingo had been carrying. When she looked at what he was holding, she noticed it was a person.
‘There’s his coat. Is he using it to keep them warm? But why is their body so limp? Wait, that ponytail… and Ingo just said he wished this was an illusion… it can’t be, can it?’ Her eyes grew in shock and horror the more details she took in.
“Ingo, is that… Akari?”
“Yes. There was an Alpha Luxray unusually stationed near the base of the Highlands. I… I arrived at the tail end of a Thunder, which I can only assume is what stopped her engines. I shouldn’t have gone through Wayward Cave. If I had just had Lady Sneasler carry me down the cliffs, I might have made it in time to save her. I failed to keep my passenger safe, thus I am no longer fit to be a warden.”
“INGO!–” Irida exclaimed, interrupting him “–this was not your fault. I do not want to hear another word out of you about not being fit to be warden. We are not expecting you to be perfect. There are some things in life that you just cannot prevent; it helps no one to mull over the ‘what if’s. And while this might have been preventable, there was nothing on your part that caused this. It is not your fault that Luxray was there, and it is not your fault she was put in this situation.”
“Then, is it my fault?” Lian asked with a warble in his voice. Irida turned to face the young warden and saw that there were tears welling up in his eyes.
“What do you mean by that?” Irida inquired, quite confused as to why Lian was now blaming himself.
“Well, earlier today, before I got your summons, she came by the Grandtree Arena and asked me if the Pearl Clan would be able to take her in for some time. But since the Fieldlands are so close to Jubilife, I heard about the exile and told her I couldn’t help since it would put you in a difficult position!” Lian practically wailed, his sobs growing the more he spoke.
‘Damn you, Kamado, you bastard.’
“Lian, this isn’t your fault either. You couldn’t have known this would happen. Like I told Ingo, we cannot focus on the ‘what if’s. Believe me when I tell you this wasn’t either of your faults.” Lian started to calm down at this, and the three of them started up the hill toward the clan.
Irida began the clan meeting, telling her people of Akari’s exile from Jubilife and how they were essentially threatened with war if they were to assist her before then going on to tell them of her untimely demise. The clan was devastated; this young girl had helped to calm their nobles when they were in pain, and she was now gone. Irida had written a letter to Adaman to inform him of what had happened; all there was to do now was to deliver it to him, but how? She didn’t have the time to travel to the Mirelands while her clan was busy preparing a funeral for the girl. It was then she heard a caw and looked up to see the Diamond Clan’s Lord Braviary descending toward her.
“Warden Sabi! What impeccable timing you have!” The young warden chuckled slightly at that.
“I was just about to land at the settlement, when my clairvoyance told me I was needed here to pick something up. The flight here was super fun! My sudden arrival and departure also annoyed Adaman, so that was fun too!” She said with exuberance.
“Well, I need you to deliver this letter to Adaman.” Irida handed it to Sabi, who tucked it away safely and departed as quickly as she came.
~~~~~
Adaman was impatiently looking up at the sky, waiting for Sabi to return again. He had almost been able to start the meeting, when she took off and said she would return soon. He thanked Almighty Sinnoh as he heard Lord Braviary’s caw.
“Finally! Sabi, do you have any idea how much time this game of yours has wasted?”
“It wasn’t a game; my clairvoyance told me I needed to pick something up. This is for you; I suggest you read it right away.” Sabi pulled out a letter, handed it to him, and skipped off to another part of the settlement. Adaman opened the letter, wondering what could be so important right now, only to be filled with dread by its contents:
Diamond Clan Leader Adaman,
Our plan is going to have to change.
It is with deep regrets that I must inform you that Akari has passed. Warden Ingo found her at the base of the Coronet Highlands, outside of Wayward Cave, and brought her back to our settlement.
The Pearl Clan is at present planning a funeral for her. Warden Calaba says that she recalls Akari mentioning that vast Hisui’s three lakes feel familiar for some reason, so we are planning to bury her by Lake Acuity.
You are welcome to attend, to see her once more and so we can discuss where to proceed from here.
Pearl Clan Leader Irida
The letter had slightly crumpled as Adaman’s grip tightened. He then folded it and put it in one of his pockets before addressing his clan.
“People of the Diamond Clan! This morning, I was called into the office of Commander Kamado of the Galaxy Expedition Team, along with Pearl Clan leader Irida and Survey Corps member Akari. I had thought he meant to discuss the quelling of all the frenzied nobles, however he instead blamed Akari for the current state of the sky and banished her from Jubilife Village. He all but outright threatened war if either clan were to give her aid. This was the reason I had called this meaning, but I just received word from the Pearl Clan that Akari’s time has come to an abrupt end. They are planning a funeral and have invited me, so I will now be off to the Alabaster Icelands. Mai, will you come with me?”
Mai nodded in affirmation as the rest of the clan began discussing this new information amongst themselves, expressing devastation and disbelief. The two approached Sabi and her charge.
“Lord Braviary, I know you’ve made this trip a few times already today, but will you fly Mai and myself to Lake Acuity?” The noble bird cawed in assent. When they were settled in, he took off.
~~~~~
Miss Akari weighed heavily in his arms. Not physically – she was actually rather light – but Ingo did not believe the sensation of her body in his arms would ever leave him; it would weigh down on him for the rest of his life. Lady Irida said he was not at fault, but that did not make his doubts and insecurities go away so easily. As Gaeric worked on digging a grave, and Palina and Calaba on carving a tombstone, a familiar caw from earlier in the day rang out overhead. Lord Braviary descended, carrying both Lord Adaman and Warden Mai. They got out of the canopy wing and approached him.
“What happened?” the Diamond Clan leader asked as he looked at the young girl in his arms. Ingo explained the Alpha Luxray outside of where they are usually found, and how he believed she was attempting to call one of the nobles. When asked why he thought that, he responded stating that he found her Celestica Flute broken into two pieces on the ground beside her.
When the grave was fully dug out, something occurred to Ingo.
“Wait. We should allow her Pokémon to say goodbye as well. I made sure to grab all her belongings before departing from the Heavenward Lookout.” Everyone nodded in agreement. Lady Irida rustled through Miss Akari’s satchel, and she, Lord Adaman, and Warden Mai each let out two of her Pokémon.
Her team consisted of a Typhlosion, a Togekiss, a blue Gastrodon, a Goodra, a Weavile, and a Rotom that had inexplicably changed its shape (as well as its secondary typing to Grass). They were all incredibly saddened by the loss of their trainer, and collectively gathered nearby the dugout grave after personally saying their goodbyes.
Ingo approached the grave and put young Akari in it. Gaeric then proceeded to refill it; once he had finished, he took the finished tombstone from Palina and put it in place. Lady Irida and Lord Adaman both divulged into prayers to Almighty Sinnoh for her spirit, but Ingo couldn’t focus on anything but the inscription:
Akari
XXXX – XXXX
Savior From Beyond the Rift
Honored By the Ten Nobles
A Light in the Darkness
Everyone present stood in a moment of quiet, letting the bitter reality settle in. Then, Lord Adaman turned to Lady Irida.
“So, what are we going to do now?” She looked like she was about to say something, but was interrupted by an unknown cry reverberating through the air.
Kyouuuun!
Out of nowhere, a Pokémon with two tails, a gray (or maybe periwinkle?) body, a yellow head, and closed eyes appeared. Lady Irida gasped in surprise.
“It’s Uxie, the Being of Knowledge! What brings you here? Oh no, did we accidentally disturb your slumber? Are you going to ask us to move the grave?”
‘Nothing like that; I have a message.’ The Pokémon of legends was somehow able to communicate telepathically, which gave its ‘voice’ quite the echo in Ingo’s mind.
‘The Chosen One has passed–’ Uxie sounded truly saddened when ‘saying’ that ‘–but this land is still in need of saving. Here, you will be needing one of my Claws.’ A light began to glow in front of Ingo, and a claw appeared. He held out his hands as it landed in his palms.
‘Now, take that and find the Chosen One’s crafting friend. Then, visit my siblings; once they have gifted you with something similar, head to the Shrouded Ruins.’ With that, the Being of Knowledge in a glow of light.
“Okay, so I’m presuming that the ‘Chosen One’ means Akari. But what about her ‘crafting friend?’ Did they mean to say crafty?” Lady Irida asked.
“No, I think they meant crafting. I recall after Akari dealt with the Alpha Kricketune disturbing Lord Wyrdeer’s seat, she asked Rei for help with improving her crafting skills, since she was new to it,” Warden Mai responded.
“Alright, so it looks like the plan here is to go grab Rei from Jubilife, head to Lake Verity, then Lake Valor, then the Shrouded Ruins–” Lord Adaman stated “–but are we all going to go?"
It was decided that Ingo would lead, as the Claw was given to him, and that both clan leaders and Lord Wyrdeer’s warden would accompany him. The four set off, and if they were to listen carefully enough, they would have heard a soft ‘All aboard!’ on the winds.

I know the whole ‘event’ of making an oc for @prof-peach ‘s island is over, probably, but I kept forgetting to post these guys!!
The trainer is named Alex (because Im not good with coming up names for human ocs..) and shes a young trainer, not actually quite old enough to work for the facility, but she volunteers a lot at the daycare on her spare time.
Chase- Her lovable, yet sorta lazy Partner. This polite oshawott was her first pokemon, given to her in her homeland of Unova. When at the daycare hes still not quite active, but is still sociable, and willing to lend an ear to pokemon who may be having a rough time of things.
Skittles- This skitty is a total spitfire. Highly energetic and always wanting a battle. She seems to believe shes an incarnation of Raikou itself! Nothing may stand in her way! She was Alex’s first catch and is actually her main battler, in the few times she actually battles. When at the daycare Skittles tends to start play fights, or gathers the more energetic pokemon into a high-energy game of tag, letting younger pokemon get their energy out. Sometimes however, she will taunt larger pokemon into a spar.
Zoroark- The shiny zoroark is actually still wild. Alex had run into it a year or two ago, when it was still a zorua. It was being attacked by some poachers and was fairly badly harmed. Alex managed to chase off the poachers and then alert officer Jenny to the nearby crooks. Alex had made herself learn basic first aid a little while after she got Chase, as she cares strongly for pokemon, and wanted to help them. So the young trainer did her best to patch up the zorua, to where it would survive, and then left. Not even daring to try to catch the poor traumatized thing. However, It seems that zorua formed a strange attachment to Alex.. Maybe it was the died hair that sorta looked like a shiny zoroark? Or maybe just Alex’s compassion to step in and help. Either way, the zorua refused to leave Alex’s side, and eventually evolved once it started helping Alex in battles. Nowadays its still wild, but alex calles it Rara as a nickname. The Zoroark can usually be seen tending to the younger pokemon, often using its illusions to change its form, appearing as an older pokemon of the same species, or an evolution. It seems to have taken a liking to Alex’s compassion and tends to mother the smaller pokemon.

marsh the zoroark is my fave pokemon oc basically. i adore her. “what if you got a zorua or zoroark that was just weird and not like the rest” that’s her.
she was stuck alone in an ice cave for an unknown amount of time as a zorua and as such readily latches onto akari for companionship, thus creating her bias in favor of humans (others of her own kind didn’t do jack SHIT for her she owes them NOTHING). she then proceeds to fixate on trying to attack akari’s shoes, but only while she’s actively moving. like a fluffy little ghost puppy pouncing and biting at her soles and people are initially like oh my god a zorua but she’s just a cute lil thing pawing at loose leaves and grass and getting knocked over when she gets overconfident with her shoe hunting and akari accidentally bops her
her friendliness prevented her from evolving for a long time, and not evolving meant she wasn’t strong enough to take out and seriously train, all looping around endlessly until that whole banishing incident. akari handles it like a goddamn champ but marshie is Fucking Pissed and gets so overwhelmed by sheer, scathing loathing for kamado and his goons, and betrayal on behalf of her bestie and trainer, that she evolves into a zoroark instantly. it takes her a bit to calm down enough to let others near akari, with some exceptions (rei and laventon being the obvious ones), and by the time akari goes back to the village with the red chain, marshie is settled into herself and doesn’t immediately turn hostile in the presence of anyone who talked shit about her trainer. she no longer has a thing for biting shoes. that was her embarrassing middle school phase
she disguises herself as akari to wander through the village and wears the baneful fox mask to differentiate them and also bc her and akari thought it was funny. at no point does she pretend to BE her trainer tho and sometimes the both of them would run errands and get a lot of alarmed double-takes. just a girl and her zoroark. she also does this to approach people easier (rei) so they don’t spook and freak out (rei again) and then when they’re like oh it’s marsh she drops the illusion. she doesn’t like pretending to be human but doesn’t like them being scared of her more
when she first evolved she looked the same as any other hisuian zoroark, but over time her lack of violent hatred closed the wounds across her body, giving her an unmarred, fluffy coat with the typical red and brighter white markings. it’s another way to identify her, along with the ugly scarves. akari frequently reminds others that there’s a daaammnnn good reason she isn’t constantly covered in wounds like her kin (it’s great evidence that she’s a good fox best friend)
besides akari, her favorite people are rei (funny and easily startled child with a pikachu so full of sass for such a small pokemon), prof laventon (was always extremely kind to her and akari and showered marshie with praise from day one), and ingo (also extremely kind to the both of them and talks to her like her trainer does: all friendly conversation and genuine interest. also accidentally taught her about travel safety regulations, whatever that is). marshie is remarkably nosy on top of social and invites herself over to the various wardens’ areas at times. thankfully she was already introduced to them during her traveling with akari as a zorua, so it’s less of a shock. except for iscan, who spooks every time, and so marshie hasn’t been able to approach him without using illusions. he’s very nice however so she tolerates it and even volunteers to scare off any other ghost types who get too close to his camp
i could ramble about her forever tbh. i love marshie m. arshmellow the hisuian zoroark

JSHK but its a pokemon AU, any headcanons? Like what pokemons are they going to have?
oh oh oh this actually made me remember that scrapped pokemon au fanfic I was gonna write (yashiro and kou are trainers helping out tsuchigomori who's the professor, and hanako be like the champion who volunteers to help one day)
let's see uhhh (this is a shortened version of... like a LOT so I'm sparing y'all the pain of scrolling lol)
Nene would totally own at least... three Eevee
one of them would turn into Sylveon and the other would be Umbreon
The other one would remain an Eevee for a while
She'd be more into Pokemon Showcases/Contests than battling
But unfortunately, the universe decides she's more talented into battling
Kou would own a bunch of Electric-types
Like Manetric. Come on don't tell me that Pokemon doesn't scream "big Kou energy"
He'd constantly try to challenge Hanako into a battle
See him pull a shounen protagonist bit and be like "I'm gonna go to the Pokemon League! And I'm gonna win!"
Teru would be some sort of a gym leader
Using Electric-types too, of course
Mitsuba would rather go with the cute ones to match his aesthetic
A Milotic or an Altaria would suit his tastes, probably
Like Nene, he'd lean more on contests
But doesn't mind battling sometimes
Hanako would definitely use Ghost-types and Dark-types
Gengar. Seriously. He would totally have a Gengar.
And a Zoroark. Cuz he's as smooth as he claims (no basis)
Aoi would have either Water-types or Grass-types
Mostly just to care for the berry plants she owns in her garden to give to Trainers and Pokemon
She's more like a Pokemon Nurse or something similar
Akane would have Pyschic-types or Fighting-types
See Aoi gushing about the Pokemon Rangers? Well you bet your ass he be out there training with a Fighting-type in the middle of a forest

Heavy footsteps could be heard as they tried to run as fast as possible to the back door route. Hopefully Stewart wasnt down there and somewhere else in the building. They threw open the door and to their sheer utter relief there wasn't a single soul in there.
They sighed in relief and ran towards the gate.
That's when almost all heck broke loose.
A group of ghosts that wanted some time of quiet or something floated down to the basement just as they git halfway to the gate.
There was a moment of silence.
Then one of the group screamed
?: I-it's her! ITS THE LOLLIPOP MURDERER!!!
Kruller: *not good!* RUN!!
Somehow finding the strength to move again, Lili made a mad dash to the gate, Kruller on her tail. Lili was just small enough to squeeze through the bars and Kruller just phased through it and they ran out of the parking lot.
Kruller: that old man should be around here somewhere! I-
The walkie talkie made a beeping sound and one of the volunteers voice screeched through.
V#1: Kruller! What the HELL is going on?! A group of ghosts just crashed into me saying you were helping a MURDERER! They're causing a scene!
Kruller: sh*t!
Lili: :0
Kruller grabbed the talkie and turned it off
Kruller: I'm not nearly dumb enough to answer that. Say what they might but you're not worth all the hassle. Besides I dont WANNA know what hell KingBoo would raise if he found out his favorite assassin got captured.
Lili nodded
Lili: also..?
Kruller: *he sighed* have to say this but I enjoy your company more than some others. It would just be sad to lose my friend like this. Now let's go find that old man!

(@ranze-the-zoroark here I did it XD they're out of the building!)

I needs some Pokemon AU please. Gimme all the things.
I cannot tell you how much I love the Pokemon AU okay it’s one of my favorite things
I’ll try to detail out some different headcanons from my last batch:
Ylisse, Ferox, and Plegia exist, but it’s in name only for the most part: ‘Ylisse’ refers to the eastern half of the continent, from the central mountain range to the coast; Ferox refers to the northern half of the continent beyond the ancient wall; and Plegia refers to the western half of the continent, encompassing the great desert and the archipelago off the southern coast. Borders don’t really exist beyond the usual gatehouses, which are present more to act as stopover and rest areas where people can get information and stock up on basic supplies. Plus, each area has its own landmarks and attractions:
Ferox, has the Longfort, an ancient wall that spans the entire length of the continent (which itself acts as a gatehouse in the present). It also has the Ferox Arena, a gym where public Pokemon tournaments take place. One of the greatest draws in the city is the rivalry between trainers on the east and west side, and the Arena hosts frequent bouts between them for leadership status. Traveling trainers looking to challenge the gym will sometimes even ally with the underdogs to storm the tournament -- which is what Chrom and Robin end up doing on their visit.
Plegia boasts several interesting landmarks, including the Dragon’s Table, a tall tower in the middle of the desert that is said to be visited by legendary dragons when conditions are right. It also has many natural formations, including the Midmire, a collection of weathered obsidian spires rising out of the ground. Strange things are said to happen there, and people have reported the feeling of someone watching them even when no one is around...
Pokemon Rangers are a very common sight throughout the region, and perform a variety of duties as a primarily volunteer search and rescue and emergency response force. Oftentimes kids get started as Pokemon Scouts, led by a full-fledged Ranger who takes them on trips, introduces them to different kinds of Pokemon, teaches them wilderness and survival skills, and helps to prepare them either to become Rangers themselves or for a trainer journey.
Chrom himself went through the Pokemon Scouts along with a number of his friends (Sully, Vaike, Stahl, Sumia, and Miriel). All of them decided to stay involved, and they created their own personal Ranger force they called the Shepherds, helping out in and around the city.
Lissa didn’t join the Scouts, instead choosing to follow her big sister into medicine. She’s still a nurse in training with her Audino partner, but she’s come a long way in a short time thanks to Emmeryn’s instruction.
When Chrom decides to give training a try and sets out to challenge the gyms, Lissa comes along as a way to get training in the field. Their father, of course, will not permit them to go alone, and sends Frederick along as their bodyguard.
Robin doesn’t actually set out with the intention of challenging gyms. Mostly she just wants to see the sights and explore the world she’s only read about before. Reflet, of course, comes with her, because the two are completely inseparable; as always, he prefers to pose as her twin brother, and has perfected the act to such an extent that they can even go into restaurants together with no one the wiser.
This leads utter hilarity when the two of them join up with Chrom’s group, since Chrom’s partner Prince is a Lucario; he can immediately sense that something is weird about Reflet’s aura, but having never encountered a Zoroark before, he has no idea exactly what’s so weird beyond the fact that Reflet doesn’t have human waves. He gets scolded for invading Reflet’s personal space in an attempt to figure out what’s so strange about the young man.

viviana deluca, of the kalos region, created a sanctuary for pokemon after travelling through all of the regions and collecting badges and pokemon. eventually, as viviana became a collector of rare and beautiful pokemon, and her load became too heavy for the local pokemon professor to provide for. so, since her inheritance was large, she found the perfect land with something for every type of pokemon, and she set up the royal sanctuary. she hires the best of the best only to care for the pokemon, as she still travels and competes in gyms and pokemon leagues.
viviana is currently the reigning champion of the kalos region, and, as of late, has started spending more and more time at home, caring for the pokemon at the sanctuary.

*caught is a loose term. some of viviana’s personal pokemon ( on the list above ) are pokemon she’s rescued or pokemon that came into the sanctuary that decided they wanted to train with her.
at any given time, there are also numerous more pokemon wandering the sanctuary grounds. the people who work for her are always bringing their own pokemon in, and sometimes wild pokemon find their way in and decide to stay for awhile. but the sanctuary, besides being a place where all her many different types of pokemon can find a place to live ( caves, icy mountain tops, lakes, forests, fields, ect. ) is somewhere for injured pokemon to heal for as long as they need, whether they are dropped off by their trainers or injured wild pokemon brought in by rangers.
viviana often switches her team up because, since she has so many pokemon, she wants to make sure they all get battle experience and have a chance to bond with her. the team she has in one city or at one gym won’t necessarily be the team she has in the next city or at the next gym.
when it comes to the legendary pokemon viviana has caught, she doesn’t battle them like the rest because they’re so much stronger and will always have the advantage in any normal, or even any gym battle. so, she doesn’t often carry them with her ( and these types of pokemon normally come and go from the sanctuary at will ) and only battles them against one another, sometimes by herself, or sometimes with the help of a volunteer. ( the royal sanctuary is a popular tourist spot in kalos, and they always have volunteer lists booked for weeks in advanced because they only allow a small number --- fifteen or so --- of volunteers at a time, always with supervision. viviana likes to let the young kids and trainers get a chance to battle with an actual legendary pokemon. ) either way, the legendary pokemon get lots of attention from viviana and lots battle experience.
all of her pokemon are trained to respond to other trainers, as well because one of the perks of volunteering at the royal sanctuary is that kids too young for pokemon, or adults without pokemon of their own get the chance to battle each other and experience the fun and excitement of battling.
once a year, the royal sanctuary holds a type of relay race for people of all ages. they accept 60 applicants, and divide them into groups of 20 each: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. the participants then each randomly choose two pokemon partners ( who are also divided into for beginners, intermediates, and advanced. also, these pokemon partners are from viviana’s personal pokemon, which is another reason they’re all trained to listen to commands from others. ) who will assist them in the race. the first person to cross the finish line gets to spend a week at the sanctuary, living on grounds in viviana’s mansion, and every day they will receive battle lessons from viviana herself, if they’re a trainer. if they’re not a trainer or don’t have their own pokemon, they still get to battle with viviana everyday, they just do it using any of viviana’s pokemon they pick. the next two to cross the finish line get to spend three days at the sanctuary, but living among the worker’s quarters and they each get one battle session with viviana. they pick winners from each of the three classes, and then schedual them according to which class they’re in ( the top three from the beginners class stay at the sanctuary the week after the race, then the three from the intermediate class, and finally, on the last week of the month, the top three winners from the advanced class stay. ) the relay race is basically an whole month event, as the race, itself, takes three days.
viviana, herself, is also a talented pokemon healer. her mother and father were pokemon breeders, and taught her everything they knew before they died. lately, viviana has been toying with the idea of expanding the royal sanctuary to include a breeding centre, as the money she’d receive from that venture would help keep the sanctuary up and running for a long time. even after she dies.

♥ = capable of mega evolution
✴ = shiny
♔ = legendary / sub - legendary
☾ = beast pokemon
( OOC NOTE: i know viviana has a lot of pokemon, and that may seem unrealistic, but, as i’ve said before, viviana’s a collector. it’s part of her personality in every single verse she has. also, she’s been at this since she was seven years old, and she’s currently twenty - two in the verse. and, at last count in the anime, gary oak had over two hundred pokemon, and he’s nowhere near viviana’s age. also. i could not stop her from putting legendaries on the list i tried she’s too powerful. )
below is the team viviana won the kalos league with:
