But yeah I made some bar soaps inspired by some of the boss ghosts in Luigi’s Mansion 3! Scents included.
Steward bar soap scent: A medium strong scent, composed of citrus, sandalwood and sage for an uplifting and refreshing scent. Including clear soap cubes for a fun aesthetic!
Chambrea bar soap scent: A strong scent, composed of lavender, rose, and sweet pea for a cutesy, invigorating scent to explore. Topped with white mica (for aesthetic) and lavender petals (for scent.)
Kruller bar soap scent: A strong scent, composed of sage, amber, and juniper for a warm, friendly scent along with a subtle relaxing tone. Bits of sage are dispersed throughout the soap, and the bar is topped with decorative soap sprinkles.
Chef Soulffle bar soap scent: A subtle scent, composed of jasmine, pale santo and sage for an earthy and musky tone. Gritty in texture for thorough cleaning from excessive labor around/in smoke.
Luigi's Mansion stuff! Thought I'd dust off the tags a little bit w some new fanart!
Here at the end I tried my hand at a few human designs for the LM3 ghosts! (ft. Slim Bankshot saying hi) I blame @cheesebrackers for the sudden interest in this franchise again😭 (ty Cheese)
Am I posting about Luigi's mansion ghosts' names in french? Yes.
Why? They're silly
ITS MY AUTISM I CAN DO WHAT I WANT.
Anyways so here's the Luigi's mansion 3 ghost names in french and what they mean. Most of them are based off rhymes or wordplay.
-Steward: Peter le Porteur
Translates to Peter the Porter. No explanation needed, you get it.
-Chambrea: Dominique la Domestique
Translates to Dominic the Maid
-Kruller: Virgile le Vigile
Translates to Virgile the watchman
-Chef Soulffle: Krem Brûlé
It's a wordplay on crème brûlé, that french-named dessert
-Amadeus Wolfgeist: Faust Note
It's a pun on fausse note, which translates to wrong note.
-King MacFrights: Roi McEffroi
Literally just translated his name as far as I know
-Dr. Potter: Professeur Foliane
It comes from fol, meaning "crazy" or "out of control plant" in the context of botany, "herbe folle", a "crazy grass" is a synonym for weed, and liane just means liana
-Morty: Oscar
Yeah like the award
-Ug: Grut
I have nothing to say it's all here
-Clem: Serge le Concierge/ Lucien le Gardien
For some reason, Clem got two names in french. I assume one is on the Canadian version and the other one is the France French version. Serge le Concierge translates to Serge the Caretaker. For Lucien, incidentally, the name comes from the Latin word "lux" (light) putting it in contrast with the darkness of the subterranean boilerworks area. "Lucien" is also an old-fashioned name, usually associated with French rural areas. Gardien also means caretaker in this context.
-Serpci: Cléo Patatras
It's a worplay on Cleopatra and whatever the fuck patatras means (it's just an onomatopoeia)
-Nikki, Lindsey & Ginny: Les sœurs mirage
Translates to the illusion sisters
-Captain Fishook: Capitaine dents-de-scie
Translates to captain sawtooth
-Johnny Deepend: Walter Polo
Shinji chair
-DJ Phantasmagloria: surprisingly, her name is the same in french.
-Hellen Gravely: Ambre Buscade
It's a pun on ambuscade, which translates to ambush
If you're still doing that time period swap challenge, I think it would be neat to swap Kruller and Amadeus around. Thank you if you decide to do this, and have a good day! :)
Swap for opposite personalities? That's my language.
🎹Modern Amadeus and 18 century Kruller🚔
Amadeus:
•He worked as a pianist in a shopping mall, his job was quite simple but he took it very seriously and he believed he deserved better, but his superiors didn't listen to him, that only made him angryer until he ended up suffering a fatal heart attack.
Kruller:
•He worked as one of the guards of a large theater, despite having worked hard to get that job he was still the weakest of all and that was the terrible flaw that led to his death when the theater was stormed.
[id: a light purple userbox with a pastel purple border, and pastel purple text that reads “this user's comfort character is kruller” on the left is an image of kruller from luigi’s mansion 3. /end id]
I didn’t know I’d live to see the day a comfort character for a lot of people is the 3rd hottest character-
Looks: Frankly I did base his criteria on the 1990s because the show Cops was started 1989, and he seems to have much more inspiration from it vs when mall cops were actually founded. Long story short according to google, generally security guards were founded in 1850 by Pinkerton National Detective Agency so… yeah we’re gonna go the easy route. Kruller did… average in this catagory due to his weight and the heavy emphasis on the chiseled human body during this time period (source: The Dominant Narrative: 1990’s Beauty Standards on counterarchive.hosting.nyu.edu, warning: people in little clothing showing off body, unhealthy body ideals.) However, Kruller DOES succeed in being tall (his model is absolutely MASSIVE if you actually compare his to other models of Luigi’s Mansion 3 ghosts) and having a minimalistic silhouette! (Source: Beauty Ideal Over the Decades part 4: The 90s by Idealist Style. Warning: because it focuses on women, lots of women showing excessive skin.)
Personality: So out of the rare few ghosts that got perfect scores for this catagory, Kruller is one of which who got 10/10 due to his personality dynamic and lack of toxic traits. So Kruller understandably is scared, who wouldn’t be in an environment where your job is supposed to stop criminals when its basically midnight? However, Kruller has a counter to his own cowardly nature: sunglasses. Kruller and Luigi, I would argue, are both easy to scare characters but find ways to overcome that in order to do whatever task is at hand. Kruller’s interesting way of coping is through a physical object that gives him confidence, and it isn’t just specific sunglasses! Throughout his fight, he’ll wear different sunglasses/glasses to replace his original pair of shades. Not only did Kruller think on his feet (tail?) when Luigi entered to his surprise, but he managed to arm himself under a calm composure instead of panicking. He didn’t know that Gooigi was weak to water, so the fact the water gun was a threat to Gooigi just makes me even the more impressed at Kruller’s confidence in his limited options.
Survival Rate: The only threat Kruller can pose is through throwing his body at someone, like he does to Gooigi as a melee attack. Otherwise, yeah this guy wouldn’t be able to accidentally kill people (and I’m choosing to avoid the fat joke of crushing someone to death—)
Niceness Rate: Pretty high! Seems to be a rule follower, but also tends to be lax too. His job is literally to enforce rules, but then again in his office he’s just fiddling with the button as he reads a book.
Overall, regardless if he’s your romantic partner or best friend, he definitely gives the best hugs, HANDS DOWN.
