Chan-won Lee, 'Entertainer Madang'
Tumblr media
Chan-won Lee of 'Pyeonstorang' challenged to win 2 in a row with red japchae gratin.
On the night of the 10th, KBS 2TV's entertainment program 'New Release Pyeonstorang' (hereinafter referred to as 'Pyeonstorang'), Lee Chan-won's ambitious new menu was revealed.
On this day, Chan-won Lee called actress Yoon Hyun-min. Chan-won Lee said, "I'm really close." The panelists expressed their surprise at this and called him "the entertainment industry maddang". Chan-won Lee asked Hyun-min Yoon, "Do you like brunch?" and said, "I'm going to make brunch today, but I'm worried about what to do."
Hyunmin Yoon recommended the menu, saying, "Bake bread lightly, spread a little butter, and eat scrambled eggs with jabbala milk." At the same time, he showed his delicate brother, saying, "If I have a photo that I can use as a reference for cooking, I will send it to you."
Chan-won Lee chose Japchae for the menu. Kim Bo-min was worried, saying, "It wouldn't be easy for a 27-year-old young man to make and eat japchae." However, Chan-Won Lee continued to cook with skillful skill without worrying about it. He first cut the vegetables and fried them all at once.
Chan-won Lee added red pepper paste and red pepper powder to vegetables, making everyone curious. He said, "I make spicy japchae in Gyeongsang Province. I eat a lot of red japchae in Busan. I remember the recipe because it was a dish my grandmother made often."
Then, he finished the seasoning by adding soy sauce, sugar, perilla oil, oyster sauce, and pepper. Chan-won Lee, who poured water into the seasoning, put vermicelli and shiitake mushrooms in it and stir-fryed it. Finally, he added sesame seeds to complete the japchae. Ryujin laughed, saying, "It tastes good, but I don't think it's brunch."
Chan-won Lee confidently put yellow cheese, mozzarella cheese, and canned corn on Japchae. “This is Korean-style spaghetti,” he explained. At this, the panelists expressed their surprise, "How do you think of such a thing?" and Ryu Su-young kept it in check, saying, "The menu is powerful."
The red japchae gratin was completed and Chan-won Lee, who tasted it, showed confidence in the menu, saying, "I will unconditionally win two consecutive wins."

Done watching 12 episodes of “My Holo Love”
Starring Yoon Hyunmin and Ko Sung Hee
So many kiligs in this Korean drama for Holo and So Yeon and Nan do and So Yeon. It was a very nice and enjoyable series with so many unexpected and shocking moments towards the end.
It was my first time seeing Hyunmin oppa in a korean drama, on the other hand I’ve seen Sung hee unnie in “While you were sleeping” as one of the supporting actors. So proud of her leading role. 💕

Actually, I was really looking forward to do this review, but, now that I’m doing it, I don’t know where to start. Well, I’ll try my best to do something that make sense.
Witch’s Court is a legal drama. Ma Yi-Deum has been a prosecutor for the past seven years. She aspires to fame and wants to get into the special unit. After she’s deceived by a superior and ends up going after him, she’s sent to special unit for crimes against women and children. Her transfer leads her to work on cases, which have a high probably to end up unsolved and that would make her disappear from the public eye, alongside Yeo Jin-Wook, a junior prosecutor and former psychiatrist.
As always, I tried to put the less spoilers it was possible in the review, but some might have escaped me, so please stay careful as you read.
So, when I jumped into this drama, I have to admit that I was quite skeptical about it. I mean, the first case is incredibly frustrating, even though you can blame such thing on the realism of it. It’s not true that every case is easy to solve, and you can charge everybody who’s in the wrong. But that aside, you can say that quite early on the plot looks really promising (and, from my point of view, don’t deceive the viewer). I think what scared me the most about this drama was how quickly the background story was brought to the viewer’s attention. The drama starts with Ma Yi-Deum’s mother disappearance and, aftermath, it becomes quite early on the center of the investigation, which, often, means that the story will drag. Fortunately, the story progression was quite good and consistent (and such thing was probably due to Ma Yi-Deum) because, even though the “original” case progressed really little, it was possible for the viewer to see that the characters were trying to resolve it. Also, another thing that was quite terrifying was that around the half of the drama it really looked as if everything would finish in a train wreck. Which it did, but it was well-done, so the fall of the characters would make sense with the rest of the story and not seems as if the screenwriter needed to wrap everything up quickly because the end was near. My worries aside, I can confidently say that this is one good drama, even though sometimes the cases are a little bit blown out of proportion, which make them look unrealistic. Yes, the cases are awful because they meddle with an ugly side of the humanity that we can’t oversee. Sometimes the plot twists are a little bit weird (they seem a little bit too forceful), but the progression is awesome, the intrigue is superb and manages to stay interesting during the whole sixteen episodes. The pace is quite good so there are really little lengths. The plot is pretty dense, but the viewer isn’t submerged by information. Everything is so well-dosed that it is possible to say that the story is well-developed. For the ending, I have to say that it was satisfying even though I don’t condemn the punishment that is given to Cho Gap-Soo. Since I talked about the main story, now, I think it’s important to talk about the romance or the hints of romance in the plot. It’s at the same time an extremely frustrating situation, but they are so adorable, and their ending is so cute that I can’t say anything against it. By the way, I’m strongly shipping them, so I was so happy that they ended up together even after everything that happened.
When it comes to characters, this drama definitely doesn’t deceive. I mean, the lead is Ma Yi-Deum aka probably one of the most bad-ass female lead in the world. Sure, she may look a little bit unrealistic and forceful, but I absolutely loved her. She’s shameless and ready to do everything to obtain what she wanted. She’s was absolutely hilarious with all her little tricks, even though she was a little bit frustrating sometimes because she sabotaged herself rather than the others. What’s really pleasing about this character is that she doesn’t become a good guy. Through the whole drama she stays pretty centered on her own proprieties even though I have to admit that she matured when she started to have some sympathy for those who ask for help – and the prosecutors around her. Also, she doesn’t really soften to the point that she becomes weak. She’s always the one in control. In short, I could say that she made me think about Chief Kim in the drama of the same name. Those antiheroes are definitely the best type of character in my opinion. Ma Yi-Deum with her strong head is paired (against her will) with Yeo Jin-Wook, a character that gets a little bit psycho (for good reasons), but is, the most of time, a true sweetheart. He helps balance the drama and make Ma Yi-Deum progresses and evolves, even though the change in her is quite little. Aside from the two leads, there are quite a lot of characters. Most of them have a small role of support or are there to be the bad guy. There are a lot of bad guys in the story. They are all hateful, even though a few of them have a redemption. But their fall (for those who stay bad guys until the very end) is completely worth it. I think I shouldn’t say more about them because I’ll probably spoil too much.
So, to avoid major spoilers about something that I don’t want to spoil, I’ll conclude there. The plot would be worth a 9/10. The characters would be a 4/5 because even though their progression is minimal, it’s just enough. The tearjerker factor would be a 2/5 because sometimes it goes right into the feels.
