Hear me out, Yandere twst isekai au, during the masquerade event. Imagine the drama with RSA and Rollo when you add the whole yandere aspect- just a random thought I had while rereading it tho

oooh that's fun, although I will say I don't really read in depth with future event spoilers, but I do have a general gist of how the event went down from hearsay. that said most of this may not be accurate bc I haven't played the story lmao (speaking of RSA, I have a WIP in the works with yandere heartslabyul & chenya in the isekai au >:3c) tw/cw: twst spoilers from jpn server, immolation/arson, graphic descriptions

As much as you wanted to see the City of Flowers, you did not want to see the student council president of Noble Bell College.

For many reasons, of course. There is the fact that being magic less and also quite literally from another world has its implications, and you don't want to subject yourself to Rollo's piercing gaze when he learns of this. And...even if he was beloved by others, you cannot say the same. His backstory is tragic of course, but there's something in his eyes that make you squirm. As if you were a sinful criminal before a judge, awaiting your verdict.

It is for these reasons that you linger in the back of the group, hoping desperately his cold sharp jaded eyes will pass over you in introductions. You don't even gaze at him directly, opting to instead focus on the mobs behind him. And yet, for all your efforts, his gaze still focuses on your face when he speaks of formalities and activities the following days will have.

So you decide to stay out of his way as much as possible. Screw what Crowley told you, you were not going to be a part of another mess that was about to go down. Instead of showing up to the group sessions that was meant to promote friendly relations between NRC and NBA, you indulge Grim's bad habits and ditch to hang around the quaint city. The cafes around here are relaxing to be in, and it's too easy to lose yourself in the calm atmosphere of sipping coffee and nibbling on madelines. You're ordering a plate of macarons when someone sits at the table you and Grim have situated yourselves in.

Your heart drops when you stare at an irritated Rollo Flamme crossing his arms across from you.

"Care to explain why you haven't showed up to to our activities, Prefect?"

The others give you confused looks when you're dragged in by Rollo's firm hand on your wrist. No matter how much you tug, it doesn't budge and he has the nerve to sit you in your chair like a child. And instead of trying to keep a modicum of discretion, he sits in the very chair right next to you, separating you from Grim. It's very obvious that he looks distastefully down on your furry companion, although if it's because he's a mage or because he's right by your side at all times, is something you've yet to discern.

It escalates, somehow. Somehow. He's always one step away no matter what you try to do to shake him off, always claiming that you must remain under supervision to make sure you weren't off causing trouble--as if Grim wasn't always left to his own devices as soon as Rollo put a hand to your back and ushers you to the hallways.

The holy fire that sweeps the place is unbearably hot. Not only that, you're separated from the others, pressed against the raging pyromaniac. Some have said being burned alive is somewhat similar to being frozen to death. With the heat, numbness takes over first; then an itching that urges the body to tear at the skin, to get rid of the terrible sensation. You would say that it was worse than that. Burnt flesh has a very particular smell, after all. These flames, which Rollo claims to be the height of purification, was like a rash that no ointment could sooth, forever branded into the very cells of your body.

Before you could take your nails and claw them down your throat in desperation, the heat is gone, replacing your skin with a low, raw ache. When you open your eyes again, it's not fire that greets you but Chenya and Neige's worried faces. "What...the hell...took you so long..." is the last thing you can get out before you straight up faint into Chenya's arms.

When you wake up again, it's pandemonium. You can barely understand who is saying what and what is going on. RSA came to the rescue of NRC? Yes yes, you already knew this, can someone explain why you weren't in a hospital bed, but instead in a shiny canopy bed that looks too expensive to be lying in?!

"My, my, they awake! Callooh, callay!" You scream at Chenya's head suddenly popping into existence directly above you. He snickers as you try to swipe at his head as it bobs just out of your reach.

"You--! Don't do that!" His eyes twinkle with mischief as the rest of his body materializes, still hovering parallel to yours on the bed.

"I think you guys should let the young'un rest, instead of burbling all this info to them, y'know?" The cheshire cat grins widely at the disgruntled NRC students. They reluctantly acknowledge his statement, leaving you to an empty room.

Well, a mostly empty room.

Chenya's face turns serious as he floats closer to you. "You should know, prefect, that the priest lad is also here."

At your confused look, he shrugs, body starting to de-materialize. "He wouldn't leave, no matter what Riddle and his crew would threaten. It's up to you on what you wanna do."

His chuckles echo in the air as his head disappears.

"If you decide to see him, that is."

About my Illness Whump Guilty Passion:

I really enjoy it ^-^

The only whump content I enjoy is illness whump. (no others) Why? Because content around it is usually super fluffy and wholesome. (plus anime characters specifically look really cute when they're sick. The flushed faces, the messy hair and the cozy pjs... and the weak tired voices… gah its all so cute!! >w<)

My personal favorite trope to play with is high fevers, migraines, and exhaustion/fainting 🌡️

Colds/Flus are super fun too (tho I'm not too graphic on it as some people are) 🤧I'm not too into snz (its fine) but I do like coughing a lot.

I'm not into emeto as an actual emetophobic with irl people…💦 However, sometimes I can write it in an implied sense with little graphic detail. And at times I do enjoy reading it if its not TOO graphic. 🤢 (I'm better with it in fictional media and art, but if it's irl emeto with real people vomiting, then nope THAT triggers me.)

Reasons illness/caretaking hurt/comfort tropes are my favorite

I love when a usually strong, serious, stoic (or asshole) character becomes more vulnerable when they're taken down by illness (bonus points if they become super needy >w<)

Really great fluff fodder for a Parent/Guardian and Child type of relationship. Or even a found-family situation.

Super wholesome and sweet for shipping, siblings, or close friendships. In sickness and in health as they say :3

It is not in any way a kink for me. It's just a trope I really enjoy and fangirl over, but I never get off on it. It just makes me genuinely happy. Its a comfort of sorts to me💜

BREATHES A WORLD-WEARY SIGH AND PULLS UP THE MODELS

It is at long last time to “Discuss” this wretched thing

Let’s start from the bottom and work our way up, cause I wanna get the worst of it out of the way. The fucking,.. Legs. Here’s what we see in-game;

Technical flaws aside, this is pretty normal and reasonable. Three main segments per leg, articulated toes on the front, hoof foot in the back, an almost standard digitigrade setup. This would be fine, if not for the fact that half of those joints don’t actually exist

There are two segments excluding foot bones

I’m assuming that ball in the front legs is a knee

Solid bones in the toes

So uhm,… yeah basically;

And this is before I mention that these aren’t actually connected to the body! THAT’S RIGHT BABY!! THESE THANGS FLOATIN!!!

So, when Al-an says “primitive ball and socket joints”, I must ask him back! Compared to what, buddy? Miss me with that whale vestigial hind leg bones shit. Your hips are useless and your weight is supported by nothing. Also why so many holes. I hope that’s for like, internal wiring or whatever.

EXHIBIT B, RIBS AND SPINES

The lower back is all one solid bone

That is just a human spine. We know personally how bad this shit is at supporting vertical weight. I’m experiencing those effects right now.

Is this ribs anymore? I’ll call it frame. The chest frame is, again, solid. A very rigid structure, there’s no movement in there. Not quite as bad, considering they don’t have lungs (at least not in the same way we do) but still bad for mobility. Looks cool tho, I guess

Back to something worse now, arms! Hands!! Shoulder blades!!

Not the worst elbow joint tbh

Forearm bones are fused. Again, no movement. They cannot twist their arms

No wrist bones. The hand is a single solid bone. The thumb/claw is also one bone

Now what’s going on back here? Is that a collarbone? Connected to the neck and fused with the shoulder blade?? What is that spike?? I have no idea what this would do to the movement range of the arms and shoulders. Presumably bad things. Also that big bit coming off the top is the shoulder… handles?

And finally, the skull. It’s easily the least egregious part of it all, honestly I like it a lot, save for the thick as hell neck bones. Why are they… So Large. No idea what’s going on with the skull-neck joint tho, cannot tell if it’s good or bad. Definitely weird to me at least.

Skull pretty cool. I’d hazard a guess and say the main brain isn’t up there and it’s all sensory stuff so a lot of holes is fine (also they put armour on top of the head), and the ‘face’ is very interesting. Makes me wonder if they had vertical jaws. Of all the things to be solid bone, the horns were the last thing I’d expect (they are semi hollow tho), and the prongs give me moose vibes. Also the whole thing sits farther back in the head than I thought.

So yeah that basically sums it up. Their legs fucking suck and the rest is anywhere from ‘why tho’ to ‘sure I guess’. The way Al-an moves ingame should be impossible for him and if this skeleton is actually cannon in its entirety then man must have some extra Secrets. And if there’s any architect skeleton defenders in existence I would love to hear from you.

OKAY BUT ANYWAYS i cherrypick canon and then make up random bullshit.

So so so so so I think it depends a lot on How it's created (and maybe how its consumed.)

General death, Outside of the possessed-object. I think that ghosts will form or memories will linger, but don't nessecarily possess any sort of object. BUT. If they are stuffed into something or close in some sort of way, they possess that object and are "bonded" to it.

Uhhhh i do rlly like the idea of two spirits in Golden Freddy. I think even jusy Dying by something can cause you to possess it.

I think the more gruesome the death, the more fear, especially the more prolonged, the more remnant is made.

I think Cassidy was killed AFTER being stuffed into Fredbear/golden freddy, she was killed by (at least primarily) a springlock accident. I don't think she died fast at all. And also she was basically melded into her Possessed Object. (CC is...very different case to this. Died because of fredbear(maybe techincally inside him), prolonged death. But obiviously not as extreme. I think he'd be very whispy and weak compared to the rest of the ghosts)

Like springtrap. I think William has a lot of other shit going on tho. I think that guy was injecting and eating and smearing remnant on himself at all oppurtunity. And that's one reason why he's so... persistant.

BUT ALSO I THINK A LOT OF IT IS FUCKING. MENTAL..MINE OVER MATTER TAKEN TO THE EXTREME. I think Charlie is in this boat. She is like, directly a familial (sorta) murder. That is a man i knew. An adult i trusted. And now i'm dead. Hooray. I think all the emotion towards Charlie's death kept her around. I just think shes like the main characger amd i love her and im so glad for her story signifigance.

remnant added onto a living being in some way increases their lifespan. And the more you eat the more it Effects you, and especially you get more negative symptoms

Like henry FOR SURE has some remnant in him. It has done something to expand his lifespan. But also I think, even one or two "doses" definently fucked something up in him.

Like, you live longer, your Soul or whatever is using other souls like a fucking battery. But also I think general body functions are sloooowed and thats gonna have effects on people.

Michael is a corpse. Remnant doesn't stop the body from rotting. It slows it. The bodies in the suits still rotted, michael is still rotting. I think he's a very weird case. Like, the metal he techincally shouldve possessed has gone and left the building. He is possessing his body, which is well. A body. And not a piece of metal. I think he gets weird out-of-body experiences a lot. I believe he HAS to replace and repair himself, probably with metal and scrap parts (he certainly has some metal left over from ennard. At least as some structual supports. ("Whoops sorry buddy i broke your femur. Lemme just... replace that")

UHHH BUT ALSO BUT ALSO

I think it manifests as molten metal or oily grime coming from inside the animatronics. Like something fucking exploded in there and is constantly on the walls of the suits and metal endos . Even after they clean it and clean it.

(There's fun ways to read the puppets Tear Tracks with this. I think theyre there to ignore or hide said muck)

:3c i think it effects Bugs especially. I think flies and such love this blood-remnant muck and eat it and gonfucking insane for their litrle fly brains and have more flies and the maggots eat it and continues continues continues.

haha wow i hate how 90% of the celeste tag is just crossovers with other media. anyway here i am to contribute to the problem!

so first hi if ur here from the celeste tag Sorry! quick explanation of What This Is: Itzsubz_ is a youtuber and twitch streamer i enjoy a lot, and recently(a few months ago) he played celeste, which reactivated my celeste fixation after months of dormancy. and that lead to me doubling my goldenberry count lmao(before that i had golden for 1a 2a 1c 2c and 3c. currently i have goldens from 1a 2a and 1c-8c. currently working on 3ag and have been for a few months). so anyway yeah im Really Normal sooo i made a crossover au ! his youtube videos are cool but i cannot in good conscious recommend his streams. hes kind of awful. obsessed with him tho

also the color scheme makes it look like i put him in the badeline role but actually he takes the place of madeline. for Part Of Him/badeline-equivalent im gonna differentiate by givin more of the inhuman characteristics of his online persona and stuff.

General Opinion over said character: tagetes is such an interesting character because i personally don't tend to get SO invested into my villainous characters (evondra in tcol and viktor in vdtrt are exceptions, however i like to call them the "not really evil, they are just ruled by their circumstances types where they are the way they are because of the hand that life has given them), to the point that i'm planning on writing a whole story centered around their terrible, horrible misdeeds, but like its fascinating getting to write a character so unapologetically horrible lol. like they suck! and its really a lot of fun to write how much they suck! i'm kinda obsessed with them lolol.

HUBRIS - the SIN of pride

Sexuality: he's on the mspec spectrum and probably the most romantically inclined of the sins aside from sion :3c he doesn't tend to stay in relationships for a long time tho and kind of flits to and from relationship to relationship depending on his mood. he has broken a LOT of hearts and usually has 4-6 flings going on at any given time lol

A ship I have with said character: i don't have a ship with him actually! i think he just kind of prefers not to be held down so i can't really imagine shipping him with one particular person, plus i haven't fully developed side characters for god eater quite yet; so perhaps in the future i'll have names for some of his flings lol

A BROTP I have with said character: he and ire are actually attached at the hip and even though she likes to deny how close they are they're super close and know each other like the back of each other's hands. he's dramatic and she's a hothead; its very jesse and james energy with the two of them lol.

A NOTP I have with said character: n/a really lol.

A random headcanon: he wears a lot of make up that's very extravagant and out there and usually spends a LOT of time on it. the one thing that never changes is that he has 3 small dots he always draws under each eye- no look for him is complete without them.

General Opinion over said character: hubris is such a fun guy he's literally the most dramatic and flamboyant darling ever. his bredth of emotion is all over the place; he can go from kind, to suave, to emotionally absent, to wailing in the span of like 5 minutes. he really lives life to the fullest and is one of the pieces of glue that holds the rest of the SINS together because he is absolutely planning to annoy all of them for eternity LMAO.

also i finished reading fool's gold and. why. why did you do this 😭

first off we have my wonderful child innit (yes i've adopted it, no there's nothing you can do about it)

secondly i tried to draw Vio. surprisingly the thing i was most overwhelmed about was the jewelry. i just couldn't cope with the lack of hair so i gave him some more hair.

the first one is with the colours i picked and the second one is "canon" colouring. i wasn't entirely sure what his tail or the triangle pin looks like but i tried. yes i used the splatter tool for the marking i tried drawing them by hand but it looked terrible. i also tried to include the second joint in how he bends his arms. originally i has the lab coat's colour to be more obnoxious than the one you had picked but it hurt my eyes so i changed it

also i noticed the mention of his second pair of eyelids a lot. so he has a nictitating membrane? i'm assuming that's what it is, since it fits the description and the way those open/close would be considered wrong (from left to right instead of up and down)

if it is a nictitating membrane- i remember seeing somewhere that his planet had glass(?) storms, so i was wondering if that protects his eyes like a camel's protects its eyes during a sandstorm? sorry i just find this sort of- not world. uh species-building interesting lol

You aren’t the only one to adopt Innit. Askblog is interesting. You can see the evolution of Daz in it, too!! I did it because I feed on reader’s tears :3c Also, Innit Going Away was pretty much inevitable. There was no way for it to be on the askblog suddenly without it having vanished, because Innit was created LONG after Daz had been introduced. I had to work backwards to figure out what would have made that happen. I think the answer is kind of heartbreaking, ngl, but like...I don’t see another way it could have turned out. It led to some fun content tho!

Oh, right, you didn’t see the very top. The canon colors are to give a better idea of what I had in mind. Sky blue could mean a LOT of different shades! I know that actually drawing with those PRECISE colors might be difficult, and I have a disclaimer about “yes, I know it could shift in Actual Art, this is just to have a solid baseline to work off of.”

The tail is more like an alligator’s, and it’s the spines along the top of it that can go flat or Not Flat as he so chooses.

And, yes, that’s what I mean by that lmao. I honestly didn’t consider it re:glass storms, but you’re right! That’d definitely help with those, as well as with general sand blowing about.

I loooooove world and species building. It’s SO fun to really dig into the minutiae of how do these things work and WHY? Vio has a lot of really interesting quirks in particular-- like, magic is basically poison to him. A LOT of enchantments either don’t work at all or cause a huge backlash if he tries to use them (water-based ones in particular. That’s why he hates tridents lmao). Others only kinda-sorta work. Silk touch is one that straight up has zero effect. Even with a properly enchanted pick, it fails to activate. This will eventually become a plot point in the rewrites, hehe!

I have a lot of lore sunk into Sanctuary itself (and a fair bit of it is in Sibling Acceptance Rituals and onwards!!) as well as Blood & Gold. A LOT of stuff that never actually made it into any fic was figured out! For instance, one of the few things bgWilbur DIDN’T lie about was his mom being Lady Death. This comes up in a few AUs, but not in the main timeline nor Welcome To The Inn/Creepypasta.

it’s been a while since i’ve reread the earlier chapters but i remember being a little surprised at harry not asking about james’ monsters being very feminine. i feel like his characterization would have made him raise some questions, though it does feel like the writing was always on the edge of that line of questioning. just thought i’d put this out here; not as a criticism or hate btw! just a lil random thought i had haha

helloooo!! :3c!! thank you so much for sending me this ask!! i will do my best to hopefully give you a clear answer!! LOL

i want to say that, first and foremost of all, i DO actually welcome any criticisms and critique while i'm working GOOMT!! -- so long as they are legitimate.

now it has to also be said too that (as i've written in the author's notes of the first chapter in December of 2022), those earlier chapters are very much a product of casual writing at a time where i wasn't sure where GOOMT was going to go or how long it would take me to write, or what sort of intricacies were going to be involved with the plot. i AM working on rewriting those earlier chapters, tho getting around to finishing or posting any of them is going to take A Good Long While, LOL.

but in answer to your question, the base reason is that it never occurred to Harry to ask.

the first time a monster appears is in Chapter 5: Stop Stopping, wherein a NEW monster is introduced to Silent Hill (or rather South Vale, in particular). this monster is one of my own creation and serves its own purpose, and is NOT a monster found canonically in the Silent Hill franchise.

Harry DOES ask about the monsters, and James stresses that the monster they saw wasn't "his" (James's) monster, and that from his understanding of them, the monsters are created out of Silent Hill tapping into the subconscious. they talk about that a lot, really, and Harry STILL doesn't understand it and is trying to wrap his head around it, lol. (and bless his heart 🥺🙏💖)

now the SECOND monster (technically) that appears in GOOMT is in in Chapter 10: The Pocket Travel Guide To Silent Hill. here a CANONICAL Silent Hill 2 monster makes its appearance, which is the Lying Figure. here Harry does reflect on it and how odd and oddly sexual it is, and is disgusted by it; but when he asks James if he's ever seen it before, James evades questioning and the subject is dropped. (and i also do not think Harry read the Lying Figure as something “feminine”, and saw it as more “masculine” instead.)

now it's also important to remember that James's South Vale monsters have all but gone out for a cigarette break and never returned; and it's been that way for A While, and the Lying Figure is the first CANONICAL monster that Harry has seen thus far (tho the Mannequin figures do finally show up, tho not until Chapter 43: BOGO 2/$4.) ergo, Harry has not had the opportunity to actually SEE any of James's monsters outside the ones that've already been represented - which also means that they have NOT encountered any of the SH2 nurses. (yet.) (ooooohhh~ LOL.)

again, James tells Harry that the new monster girls seen around are products of HIS (Harry's) subconscious and that he himself (James) has nothing to do with them, tho Harry does challenge him on that in a later chapter (Chapter 54: Why Can't You Just Tell Me?).

but that said, the reason why Harry isn't questioning the largely female monster population is because of the Order. Harry understands the Order is a matriarchal religion and, considering what he's learned about it and the whole ordeal with Alessa and his first visitation into Silent Hill (1), in combination with all this time he's had to process and research the Order itself, he's come to accept (or reason to himself) that the female monsters are DUE to the fact that the Order is matriarchal, and that it only makes sense to him that the monsters are going to be mostly female.

there is a lot of symbolism intertwined within the new monsters i've introduced in GOOMT, and i believe Harry understands (or assumes) that a lot of them have to represent Alessa in some way; and seeing how James insists that the new monsters are a product of Silent Hill tapping into Harry's psyche, Harry's then brought to the conclusion that they are because of the turmoil over Alessa and/or Cheryl, and how he failed to save either of them. these are only his own perceptions, of course -- but also because of those perceptions, it is why he's seen or had no reason to question at all why they're female.

and again, Harry hasn't seen the scope of James's original monsters outside of the Lying Figure and the Mannequins - and even THEN, James has never confirmed the Mannequins to be "his" monsters in the first place.
