CW: mentions of drinking, being drunk, huge amount of angst, kind of a happy ending?
A/N: ‘Maniac’ and ‘Memories’ by conan gray helped me write this
╚═*.·:·.✧ ✦ ✧.·:·.*═╝
the multiple knocks at your door makes you jolt awake from your deep slumber.
and which also makes you groan from your poor beauty sleep being interrupted.
wondering who the hell would be here at midnight.
but that familiar voice you heard on the other side of the door.
it made your facial expression soften from the anger it was first in.
this isn’t the first time momo has shown up at your shared house in the middle of the night. well, you don’t even know if you should call it home anymore.
ever since your breakup, momo has been staying with nayeon in their shared dorm room before she moved in with you.
yours and momo’s relationship began to go up and down, not to mention she had a thing for drinking, besides jihyo…
but when she’s drunk, momo tends to say things that absolutely hurt you in profound ways.
you told momo if she was going to walk out of that door, you didn’t want her there to contact you ever again.
but you love her.
you didn’t want her to just stand outside begging for you to open the door.
unfortunately you’ve fell into this cycle with momo now.
letting her in, having her cling onto you like a koala when she’s fallen into your arms, giggling and mumbling nonsense.
then in the morning she’s hacking up her stomach with a nasty hangover.
then she leaves.
or she’ll call you on the phone, drunk, saying she’s wanting you back.
but when she’s sober she suddenly hates you.
part of you wants to leave momo outside and call either jeongyeon or jihyo to drive to your house to come get her.
which leads to conversations when you see the girls for the first time in a while, rumors saying how momo has said how crazy you are, saying she’s made a mistake with dating you, how she drives you crazy.
you could say the same things about her, but you don’t.
you haven’t even returned momo’s sweater that you’ve been wearing for the past two weeks.
but it wouldn’t matter, she’s too drunk to notice.
you tug at the sleeves of momo’s contemplating what to do.
you only sigh and just decide calling up jihyo to come and get her, but suddenly nayeon’s caller ID shows on your phone.
You answer, “hello?”
“hey y/n, i’m on my way to get momo from your place. no one knows where she went but I have a feeling she’s at your place,” the girl explains, “right?”
You stutter, “y-yeah. um, she’s actually at my doorstep right now. i’ll let her in until you show up. bye, nayeon.”
you hang up and quickly make your way to open the door.
“y/n!” momo giggles before landing in your arms, her arms around your neck.
you only sigh leading momo over to the couch where she instantly lays with a goofy smile on her face.
you sit at the end of the couch away from momo as you wait for nayeon to show up.
“i’ve missed you, so much,” momo slurs, “you’re so pretty. just like always.”
you stay quiet.
“…you still wear my sweater,” she giggles as she begins to sit up against the couch cushions, “it’s okay. keep it. looks better on you.”
you look at momo only a few minutes later, now seeing tears running down her face. your eyes go wide.
“i’m sorry, baby. for those things i said. i shouldn’t have. do you forgive me? please? i miss you so much. i love you.” momo sobs out.
your quick instinct didn’t stop you from going over to momo, using your thumbs to wipe her tears on her face.
she instantly leans into your touch, her cheek squished slightly against your palms. the sight nearly makes you cry yourself from the overflowing love in your heart for momo.
it makes you forget all the bad things that’s happened.
but, the abrupt knock on the door makes you jump a little, but you get up instantly.
nayeon drags momo, cursing out a few of her favorite curse words with gritted teeth, as well as giving you multiple apologies, while momo’s crying dies down, but mumbles your name with a quivering lip.
you sigh before putting your head up against the door, tears running down your face.
momo’s head was pounding after she rushed to the bathroom, along with going to the kitchen to get a cold bottled water.
along with a very angry nayeon.
“what’s up with y-”
“how long will you keep doing this, momo?” nayeon asks with her hands on her hips.
“huh? doing what?”
“you know what I mean!” the eldest nearly cut her off.
nayeon went on an entire rant about her erratic behavior. getting drunk nearly everyday, dangerously walking to your house, also with how she’s been treating you.
the guilt began to set into her stomach once momo was snapped back into reality.
her immaturity and pettiness is only making things worse.
how could she be so stupid?
she’s definitely going to have to sort all of this out, but not before a huge talk from jihyo. even jeongyeon.
despite how hungover she is, momo went over to your house again. even though she knows she shouldn’t be.
using the spare key you gave her, she let herself inside quietly.
peeking into the living room, you weren’t there, you must be in your bedroom.
but she couldn’t help but notice the few beer bottles on the living room table, some trash on the floor, as well as old things of momo’s as well.
she sighs before going into your kitchen, grabbing a trash bag.
from top to bottom she had begun cleaning your living room, and even your kitchen with a few dishes left out, as well as cooking up some breakfast for you.
but hearing footsteps coming downstairs, she knew she must’ve woken you up.
but also the smell of the bacon.
you came visible to momo now, which made her freeze after turning the stove off from cooking.
you both make eye contact, not knowing what to say.
“what’re you doing here?” you softly ask.
momo opened her mouth, but nothing came out. she was too distracted by you. besides the pounding in her head..
she’s realized how much she’s truly missed you. and how much she needs to apologize.
if you’ll even take the apologies, that is.
“momo?”
“i’m sorry. i’m so sorry, everything I’ve said and done I shouldn’t have. you didn’t deserve it,” momo says with her eyes stinging with her tears.
“i’ve been immature, petty, and awful to you. i guess i didn’t want to face how wrong I was and how I was grieving in this breakup, but it was wrong of me to treat you badly, everyone horribly. god, I’m so sorry, y/n. i’m sorry.”
you stood there in shock with momo.
she’s actually apologizing, and she’s sober for once.
you didn’t know what to say.
part of you knows that you should one hundred percent kick momo out, telling her to leave you alone and never speak to you again.
but another part just wants to hug her so tightly.
you’ve missed her.
and the smell on her sweater you’re wearing has now faded.
now matter how wrong she was, could you both patch things up, maybe?
it’s evident that you both miss and love each other.
“i know it’s wrong of me to ask of this, but if you let me come back, i promise to you, i’ll change. i’ll do better, i’ll even stop drinking. just please, i love you, i need you. but i understand if you don’t feel the same anymore.” momo pleads.
you didn’t really care what your mind was saying anymore, you were only listening to your heart.
you didn’t hesitate to let your feet carry you over to momo, where you wrap your arms around her.
momo was in shock, but didn’t stop herself from hugging you back.
“i’ve missed you too, momo. if you screw something up again-”
“i won’t!” she cuts you off, “i won’t. i will do better. i don’t want to lose you again.”
you chuckle, “good, and i love you, too.”

Promise me you'll write or call
Thanks to @helloliriels and @flashfictionfridayofficial for the prompt!
This one went in a completely different direction than I initially thought of after reading the prompt.
Tumblr media
When she was eight years old, her father decided to leave. Her parents never explained what happened. They stopped talking to each other and then he left.
“Promise me you’ll write or call, Daddy!”, she begged when they said goodbye. He simply nodded then closed the door of the car and drove off.
When her mother’s phone rang the next day, the little girl was jumping up immediately. “Is it my Daddy?”, she asked hopefully. It must be him, he promised to call after all.
“No, dear, I’m sorry. It’s grandma. Do you wanna talk to her?”, her mother replied. Her heart broke into tiny pieces as she saw her daughter’s face fall with disappointment.
The little girl shook her head. “I’m gonna play in my room till Daddy calls.” He never called though, not that day, nor the next. Weeks passed, then months without any message from him.
A day after her 9th birthday, her mother came into her room holding the phone in one hand. “It’s for you, my dear”, she said and handed over the phone.
“Belated happy birthday, kiddo!”, her father’s deep voice sounded from the speaker.
“Daddy” she screeched, and the broadest smile imaginable formed on her lips. “I’m so happy you called. How are you? And where do you live now? When can I come to visit? I miss you, daddy.”
He didn’t answer any of her questions. “I have to go. Work is busy at the moment. I’ll call you back later”, was his response instead. So, the little girl waited for hours and firmly held her mother’s phone prepared to pick it up as soon as the ringtone sounded. But it never did as her father never called back.
More months passed without any contact. On Christmas Eve, the little girl found a letter in their mailbox addressed to her. It was a generic card with Christmas wishes signed by her dad and the name of a woman she had never heard before. She was so happy he finally reached out, but her hopes were dashed when she tried to thank him. She called. Multiple times. Yet, he never picked up. She wrote letters. But he never answered them either.
“Please, Daddy, call me back. There is so much I want to tell you”, she begged in one of the hundreds of voicemails she left. But he never reacted.
So, as time passed, the little girl stopped thinking about him. Her mother was happy to see her only daughter smile and laugh again and watch her play with her friends as if nothing had happened. Her mother never saw her breaking down though, at night when she was all alone and unable to escape her thoughts.
A year later, her grandpa – her father’s dad – passed away. His funeral was the day she finally saw the man that left her again.
“Dad!”, she screamed when he came into sight, and she ran into his arms. “I missed you so much!”
However, he didn’t come alone, with him was another woman and she held a small baby. A baby girl who turned out to be the girl’s half-sister. The little girl wasn’t her dad’s only daughter anymore. He had built himself a new family. Without her.
During the ceremony, the baby started to cry and didn’t stop, so the girl’s father and the other woman quickly left.
“I’ll call you, kiddo”, he whispered before he stepped out of the church. When the girl saw the expression on her mother’s face though, she had the feeling he wouldn’t. And those feelings were right. He never called nor wrote. What else was she to expect?
Throughout the years, the only constant contact she had was her father’s call a day after her birthday and the obligatory Christmas card. But as the little girl grew up to be a young woman, she stopped caring. It still hurt from time to time and her heart still broke whenever she saw a man interact with his kids. But it got better. She found people that really cared for her. Her mother has always been there and so were her grandma and her friends. She met new people and started to live life like she wanted to.
She had just turned 21 when she met a young man at university. They got along right away and in no time got together and he moved in with her. He was the most amazing person she ever met. And he cared for her, he really did. And with every day they spent together, her broken heart healed piece by piece.
The bad news came two years later. The man had to leave as his job required him to travel through different countries for a few months. She didn’t say much when he kissed her goodbye knowing from experience to not get her hopes up.
“I promise I’ll write!”, he whispered before he stepped into his company’s car and drove off.
The young woman cried herself to sleep that night, hating her heart for still containing hope that he would do as he said. Her dad had never so why would he be any different?
One can imagine the young woman’s surprise when she opened her mailbox only three days later and found the postcard her boyfriend sent. She was even more surprised when he picked up within seconds after she dialled his number that night. They were talking almost every day until he suddenly showed up at her door a month earlier than supposed.
“I missed you too much. I can’t spend any more time without you”, he explained making her cry again. This time the tears were of joy though. And she knew she found her person; the person that seemed to love her with all his heart.

"So... If I understand it correctly then you are out here because Katsuki and Eijirou were having sex next to you and you don't want to be there." Hanta stated bluntly. "Forgive me if I misunderstood something."
"No, it's… right to the point."
Hanta sighed in relief. He really didn't want to offend the other. He was happy he had practice listening to people and their problems. "So you think Katsuki would be angry with you if you tried to join?"

I'm a brutal and realistic angst writer. You thought the main couple would end up together? Nah, bro, it might not feel like it be we can have a good ending regardless of who ends up with who. It might even be healthier

I usually don’t watch Minecraft role plays since I’ve watched so many over the years. But the angst including Sun in this role play episode is amazing!
youtube
I’m a sucker for angst (especially Sun and Moon angst) and this version of Sun is really cool! Davis always does the absolute best with his characters and I am living for it :D
