Do you think DBK, used like that 'soft voice' we all use when talking to babies.

Like Red Son was small enough to fit into the palm of his hand, how else was he supposed to talk to his tiny miracle without so much as blowing him away with his voice.

Do you ever think DBK could be lowkey a bit scared of how he might accidentally hurt his son. He was an absolute beast on the battlefield and while he most certainly would never hurt his family, there was no guarantee something wouldn't happen with this tiny baby

Do you ever think how DBK was so ready to learn to be gentle for once (you saw mans' smile after the samadhi fire ritual, you saw how he remembered his son's birthday, time of day in canon) if it meant being close to the glorious heir he and his wife created against all odds....

And then that chance was stolen from him.

And DBK never learnt to be gentle. His voice never softened to that degree ever again.

And it never will.

You know, being secretive and private about his personal life is kind of Spy's whole thing, but I feel like a fun little alternative to taking that route could be just to make him a massive fucking habitual liar. They dont even have to be relevant lies that hide any important information, it could legit just be him lying about his hair color to the team or smth. I know this is already pretty common so it's nothing new under the sun but I just think it'd be pretty funny if instead of being like: "no scout, I did not bang your mother" it could be like: "no scout, I did not bang your mother, but I am gay, so watch out for your dad"

I love fics when the JL meets the Batfamily randomly because (1) All of the bats have Bruce's mannerisms when wearing the mask so its basically 8 batmans (with varying colours) roaming around the watchtower but two or three are nice and one might shoot you if you aren't Wonder Woman and (2) The family of detectives are all so oblivious to the fact that the JL doesn't know them.

And yeah they know The OG Robin runs the Titans and the Zombie one runs the Outlaws but they're so different and the same?? Like you genuinely don't know who is who but the one with the sword is related to Ra's al Ghul and the one who doesn't talk is related to Lady Shiva so sometimes things get awkward.

But then you have the fact that the blue one calls Superman Uncle Kal and the red one calls Wonder Woman Auntie Di so there's that. And at least 1 bat is dating someone else's protégé so there's really no saving them.

The Justice League seeing the Bats and seeing them bagging their previous sidekicks ladies, gentlemen and non binary individuals:

Green Arrow watching The Crime Lord Bat pick up Lian from Daycare and then pat Roy on the back promising that he'll make dinner tonight.

Wonder Woman and Flash watching Cassie and Bart flutter around the stalker Robin who's doing the Bat thing with his cape and looking so much like his dad Barry thinks he might faint.

Barry flabbergasted because Wally is lying on Acrobat Robin's lap while he talks to one (?) of his wives who herself is eyeing the first Wonder Girl.

Superman watching his cousin flock around Batgirl (Acrobat Robin's wife?) while she's dotted on by Zatanna and the other wife (+Donna).

Wonder Woman watching Yara be in awe of the silent bat,the purple one and the yellow one (who apparently works the day shift??). Donna's flocking around both of Dick's wives and Cassie is still with the stalker Robin.

Half of the JL completely stunned because Superboy (the little one who is still little) is fluttering around sword Robin and hanging onto every word he says. The older superboy is carrying stalker Robin around like its a normal occurrence. Bruce and Clark don't even bat and eye about it.

i've been reading a lotta todofam fics recently and i think you guys give fuyumi too much shit for wanting a happy family. she's not delusional or blind or anything like that. she's just an abused girl who wants some semblance of a normal family. which is fine!!!! not once in canon does she ever tell natsu or shou that their feelings aren't valid or that they need to forgive enji. all she ever says is, hey. he says he's changing. can you please be civil with him natsu? also, from what i understand about canon, it's not like enji was beating the shit out of his children the minute they came out of the womb??? he was okay-ish those first few years and it's more than likely that fuyumi remembers that enji!!! natsu probably doesn't have any memories of that enji. of course, she wants a happy family. she remembers when enji was okay-ish!!! like do you think she doesn't know about the abuse????? she's the only sibling who still lives in that house!!!! she was there for all of shouto's abuse!!!! all this to say, if you even look at my girl wrong, i will stomp you to death with my hooves.

i'm slowly thinking about a hsr for my OC. he's a foxian who currently operates in a bar in penacony. he's got some sussy background but he's sort of just your local guy. he knows alot of stuff. he tends to be the sort of person other's give over information to without really realising they have. ( his name is ki and he's the love of my life ) his original lore was that he was a harvest deity whose village was pillage and burnt to the ground, after wandering for some time, decades later, the land was going to be levelled in order for construction of some description which led to him losing control and ending up attacking the workers. leading to someone who was relevant in working with the supernatural coming and engaging with him which ended up with a contract being forged between the two and Ki finding a new lease on life. ( im trying to work out which aeon he might fall under, who he might work for in a hsr verse if anyone at all,, but he's really cute and u should write with him )

Russian Roulette update: Yassen's conversation with John towards the end of Командир (The Commander) genuinely made me tear up a bit. Y'all if I hadn't started shipping them at the start of Eagle Strike the first time I saw them interact this scene would've 100% convinced me because the way Yassen was so hesitant about working for Scopia at the start and had considered his other options, but now that John is tutoring him he desperately wants to prove his loyalty and competency. In the jungle John tells him he could leave if he wanted to, Scorpia had taught him enough about disguise - all this he had considered before himself, yet when John brings it up Yassen immediately shoots it down, becomes agitated. Why? Because he feels like John is questioning his competency. Remember what he said? "I can do this." John wants Yassen to not have to walk down the same path that he did, but ironically he is the reason Yassen even cares so much about succeeding in Scorpia in the first place. His cover worked a bit too well and now Yassen has a very fixed idea of who John is, and he will do anything to prove himself to his version of John.

You get it, right? The way they want completely different things out for each other, completely incompatible things, because they do not understand each other. These types of dynamics really just eat me up from the inside
