I genuinely wish I had pictures to confirm this but I’ve searched through my phone and the photos are just gone, so you’ll have to take my word for this when I tell you an absolutely insane story. A few years ago, I was on holiday with my family, and we went to a wildlife park. Most of the animals were small, like goats and lemurs, but this park had a PUMA. Now, for context, I am quite short and I was wearing a bright pink, fluffy coat. I tell you this because this puma was pacing around the edge of it’s very flimsy enclosure, stalking me and my family around the wildlife park, as far as it’s enclosure would allow, staring right at me the entire time. We weren’t moving too fast either, we were taking a leisurely stroll around that place, stopping for pictures and everything. A few months later… the puma broke out of its enclosure - the same flimsy, small enclosure it had been in when I visited with my family. So basically, I was nearly eaten by a puma, and I was dressed like a prey animal. I was really decked out like a meal on wheels, up close with a man-eating puma. How am I still alive?

the wildlife park games are brilliant actually. whole of 2 + all expansion packs is on steam for less than £15 (for some reason each of the expansions class themselves as a new game) and they all (apart from domestic and fantasy) have a full campaign of about ten missions and way more new animals than planet zoo lol.
The mission are a nice mix as well - they've got some cool levels where you have to keep the animals happy while using only plants and terrain and stuff to feed them rather than food bowls etc.
decently customisable, with free placement of one or two options for the items. a nice mix of the more rigid zoo tycoon and the far too modular for me planet zoo.
also, and i mention this because it was important to me as a child in the same way that the sleich animals having the correct anatomy was really cool to me, they do have a proper mating animation. they don't wuss out of it.
oh and you can absolutely pick up the guests and put them in an enclosure, or jut delete the fences and let the animals roam free. in fact, you can fully make walkthrough enclosures and some animals will fill a pet or a ride want from the guests. and then of course some of them will eat them.
3 has a graphics upgrade, with animal species having like two or three different models which adds a really nice variety. for some reason, no extra missions on the expansions but the animal selection is nice and includes a surprising amount of marine animal for no marine dlc, and the main game's questline is really good too.
Oh yeah, i'm gonna play this soon
