The cheeky magpies that visit the garden! The smaller birds aren’t a fan of them and they tend to scatter when they come in, but quite often they’re just more interested in the mealworms I put out. I have a hanging bird table where I put mealworms for the smaller birds, but the magpies have figured out they can make the mealworms drop to the floor if they fly at it and knock it. (I do scatter mealworms onto the ground for the bigger birds too, but the pigeons usually scoff those up before any other bird has the chance!)
