I was reviewing some footage and . I SWEAR TO GOD. THERE'S A REASON FOR EVERYTHING IN THIS MOVIE.
This part is subtle foreshadowing/setup that Vanellope's glitch can travel to others.
Taffyta is completely fine because her code is stable and she's native to the game, meaning she's easily correctable. (speculating)
Turbo isn't able to recover because he's not native to Sugar Rush and his code is a tangled mess. The game doesn't know how to "correct" him after an error. (Rip bozo)
And both are from yanking someones arm in attempt to defend herself. Taffyta trying to hurt her emotionally and Candy trying to hurt her physically. Man.

Am I the only one who sees the similarities here?
King Candy controls his citizens through their code, while Magnifico controls them through their wishes, in both cases the core of their existence, the essence of their hearts.
Both kingdoms look perfect on the surface, having names with good connotations (Sugar Rush and Rosas), but their kings, who seem benevolent at first, actually hide a dark secret.
Both kings are attention seekers that must feel loved and appreciated, which also leads to their downfall: King Candy, or rather his true identity, Turbo, felt ignored by the players when another racing game became more popular than his, invaded the new game, and caused both to get disconnected. Magnifico gets angry every time someone questions him, which makes him turn to dark magic.
King Candy tries to crush Vanellope's dream of racing so his secret won't be exposed if her true game state as a princess is restored by using the other racers to bully her and lying about her being a glitch, while Magnifico strives to silence Asha in order to keep his secret of hoarding the wishes and not intending to grant most of them by telling the citizens she's a traitor endangering the kingdom by destroying wishes, and offering a prize on turning her in.
Both girls get the help they need to overthrow the king from another world: Asha gets Star who crushes to the forest near the village she lives in, and Vanellope meets Ralph, who comes from another video game, and crushes his spaceship to the Candy Cane Forest. King Candy / Turbo, is also from another video game, while Magnifico claims he got his genes from outer space!
Both kings have loyal lackeys that are identified with the color green: Magnifico uses forbidden magic, which is green, to fulfill Simon's wish and get him to his side, while King Candy has Sour Bill, who is a green candy. Also, Magnifico rides white horses, and King Candy drives Vanellope's original race car, which is white.
The climax of both movies takes place on a high-altitude location, with both kings torturing the protagonists and their friends: In Wreck-it Ralph, it happens on Diet Cola Mountain, with King Candy trying to prevent Ralph from making the volcano erupt and forcing him to watch the Cybugs closing in on Vanellope, while in Wish it occurs on the palace's roof, with Magnifico blasting Asha with magic and sucking Star into his staff.
(And, unfortunately, both kings have fans who are sure they did nothing wrong because of their traumatic past, and that the girl is actually is the villain...)

Vanellope VS. Turbo: A Mini Analysis!
There are a million reasons why Turbo’s reveal in Disney’s Wreck-it Ralph is such an iconic and memorable scene. A scene that I and many others have replayed ever since 2012 and its impact has never left our minds. It solidified King Candy/Turbo as one of Disney's top villains ever created, surprising and shocking viewers with a plot twist that Disney hasn’t been able to overthrow with their other movies before they abandoned villains until King Magnifico but he sucks so. He WISHES he was as charismatic as King Candy plz-
But this analysis isn’t just about King Candy/Turbo, it’s also about Vanellope Von Schweetz. She’s the most important ingredient to making this scene work and play out the way it does and ultimately why it’s so fucking cathartic. ( More so than Ralph’s fight against Cy-Bug Turbo in my opinion) After watching how it was originally story boarded, the crew behind WiR perfected this scene with a specific detail that they changed. In the early storyboard, Vanellope causes King Candy’s vehicle to crash, causing him to glitch and transform into Turbo in front of the cameras. While I love love love the extended race between Vanellope and King Candy and sort of wished it could have been longer in the actual film, I am content that they didn’t go with the direction. In the movie, King Candy is revealed after trying to beat/kill Vanellope with his horn rod/pole thingy from his kart, she grabs it and glitches due to stress/adrenaline/her emotions, her blue glitch traveling through the cane and making contact with King Candy, finally putting down the facade he had on for 15 years and revealing him as Turbo to the characters in the film and the audience. It’s such a small detail, it only happens in a second, but it’s all it took for the start of his downfall and his eventual demise.
And this is why it brings me catharsis every time I watch this scene. I could never put it into words before, but it’s beyond satisfying that the end of King Candy’s horrible reign starts with Vanellope and her glitch. The very same glitch that he caused trying to delete her code and remove her place from the game. The glitch that he used as an excuse to turn everyone in Sugar Rush against her. He usurped her throne and tried to ruin her life. Despite this, he still had the audacity to shout “Get off of MY track!” earlier. It brings his Roadblasters incident back up, it was his choice, trying to steal the thunder of another racing game that just got plugged in because he couldn’t stand the idea of anyone taking his place, only for Turbo Time and Roadblasters to be unplugged. All of this circling back and biting him in the ass. Vanellope was the key all along and he knew it, he feared her despite never really having a conversation with her as far as we know (Vanellope asking Turbo “What the-?! Who are you!?” leads me to believe that if they did converse in the past, it was not in his true form and he was most likely already King Candy. Plus it just goes to show how fast he hijacked Sugar Rush), but you can just tell by how desperate he was to keep her from racing, he didn’t want anyone to take his place ever again.
So the scene continues and his famous line and breakdown goes as this: “I’m Turbo! The greatest racer ever! And I did not reprogram this world to let YOU and that halitosis riddled warthog TAKE IT AWAY FROM ME!” It’s just so ironic, unfair and hypocritical of him it makes my blood boil! And the way he’s raising his voice, jabbing his finger at her and Vanellope’s trying to shrink away from him as he yells at her face before he tries to murder her I just- So cruel, scary, wicked and disturbing! But Vanellope, this brave WARRIOR, is reminded of her glitch after Turbo calls her for what he believes is the last time. “End of the line, Glitch!” She takes a moment, everything slows down around her as she tries to control her glitch to escape Turbo. She glitches away, missing the wall and It ends up saving her life! I just cannot stress enough how beautiful that is! She used her disability, that everyone thought would simply doom her and the game, and embraced it when she needed it most. Her glitch, while it was suddenly given to her by circumstances she couldn’t control or prevent, she took control back. It’s her beautiful superpower and it’s empowering. After this scene, it’s the “end” of Turbo before he gets nom’d by a Cy-Bug. ( I want to note that he later says “I’m the most powerful VIRUS in the arcade”, part of me wants to believe he said that because clearly Vanellope bested him as the greatest racer ever but I doubt that was their intention lol)
They’re the embodiment of Selfishness vs. Selflessness. While Vanellope had everything taken away from her, she didn’t follow the same path as him. Turbo had everything taken from him, but it was his fault and he only ever thought about himself, never about the destruction he left behind. Hell, all she ever wanted was to be one of the racers, no matter how much they bullied her and ostracized her, she never ended up being evil like him even though it would be a perfect recipe to become a villain, this is also what makes her a mirror to Ralph. (Remember in that one deleted scene where she said she wanted to break the racers’ legs but come on can you blame her!?!?! She was so real for saying that.) VANELLOPE IS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER EVER AAAA.
Before I ramble any further, I will forever love the choices that the writers made for the climax and it just ends up being an absolutely perfect and brilliant scene and I will continue to rewatch for the millionth time.

Ja gut, ich hab's genau andersherum interpretiert 😅 ich hab das so verstanden "ich hab freiwillig diesen Kurs gewählt". Und es gab ja nur allgemein Mathe (evtl. Grund- und Leistungskurs) und nicht speziell Geometrie, Algebra etc. 🤔

PRINCESS TWILIGHT'S LOG: Day 15

Testing, testing... Okay. This is the second tape I'm making to record the status of the Infection... Or at least, that's what everypony is referring to it as. Through my extensive research, and what little Thorax could tell me, that what we're dealing with is a species of fungi known as Ophiocordyceps versicolor.
It happens to be a direct relative to the Ophiocordyceps unilateralis fungi, which is notorious for devouring insects, primarily ants, from the inside to use its carcass as a breeding ground... This raises cause for concern because it spread through any open orifices, such as the mouth or nostrils.
In addition, it has a long standing history of affecting Changelings from the few records that were preserved in the lower hidden levels of the Changeling hive colony. It's particularly deadly to ponies as well, with a few documented cases across Changeling and pony records, from what I could piece together. But the knowledge it limited and bears no detailed analysis.
...But there are more concerning matters than this discovery. I've since told the other Princesses and Equestria has kind of been thrown into a panic. Cadance has quarantined the Cryatal Empire and only sends letters via magic, Celestia has taken to safeguard Canterlot while Luna has joined me here in Ponyville. She's working to keep ponies' hopes up, lulling them into gentle sleep when needed.
To make matters worse, Mayor Mare has completely disappeared. She went to send word to Zecora with a few other ponies, but they haven't returned since. Applejack then took it upon herself to serve as acting mayor. Everyone trusts her, it's not a surprise to me, but she doesn't sugarcoat anything either. She tells everyone the truth about what's happening, keeping everyone informed while I'm working.
She's even working hard to protect her family, I know Granny Mith would greatly appreciate that. She unfortunately passed shortly before everything began. I think that's why AJ is so on edge all the time, I don't think she could handle losing Big Mac or Apple Bloom.
I'm honestly glad that she's taken up the position of acting mayor, it's lifted a weight from my shoulders, and she wants to support me in any way she can. Though I worry for her and Pinkie the most, as they face the most risk of infection as Earth Ponies.
Although I still reside in Ponyville, I perform most of my research in the Changeling hive. The young Changeling I mentioned last tape... has unfortunately passed, the fungi fully matured in such a short time, but it's unclear how long she even had it. She may have been found when it was already too late, but there isn't much I can do now, except for studying the fungi before it dies so we understand what it is we're handling fully.
I fear... that we will have to resort to awakening Chrysalis for the sake of Equestria, but I'm working tirelessly to ensure that doesn’t happen.

Fluttershy has been showing cold/flu-like symptoms lately, AJ is keeping close tabs on her
No search party for Mayor Mare and other missing ponies has been formed, everyone is too on edge for fear they contracted the fungi, even though it's unlikely to be in the Everfree forest
fungi responds to anti-fungal treatment, small percentage dies within 3 hours upon treatment. this could lead to the development of a cure, but it's still in the testing phase
fungi is possibly slow acting, which gives ample time to pursue treatment

please share more of your mauraders fandom thoughts in detail, it's always been such a crazy fandom to me ober the years considering their source material is basically nonexistent and how they act like certain fanfics are actually canon (and also especially how they excuse stanning it these days even with jkr's rampant bigotry)
its just so funny to me idk. theyve invented a canon for themselves despite it all being fanon so of course the canon is boring as hell. no social analysis at all and in fact there's a lot of woobifying death eaters as if all of them are just being forced into it by abusive fathers and not people making deliberate political choices based yes, on childhood indoctrination, but theyre also like. Adults. occasionally comes across as very like, 'wir haben es nicht gewußt'. if peter pettigrew was a twink they would love him but cos he's fat he becomes the bumbling fourth or just ignored or replaced with regulus (very funny). all the female characters are either BAMF feminist or nice kind sweet special baby. lily marlene tend to be the former, mary alice sometimes pandora tend to be the latter. they make up boring femslash in order to feel less guilty about only shipping the twinky boys cos theyre still in that 2017 era of "feminism is having the shafted female love interest become the sassy lesbian best friend". wolfstar forever tho

ok but now I need to know your thoughts on the taylor swift lyrics. what songs did you analyze and what were your thoughts on them????
Alright so first of all for context:
this was a lecture about the literary era of romanticism, so for most of that lecture we had been talking about the literary and philosophical concepts and ideas present in that era.
And then the professor went "ok so I am not a swiftie - I haven't even listened to her newest album yet - but I believe Swift's music greatly encapsulates a - simplified , pop-cultural - continuation of the ideas of romanticism in the modern day....so let's analyse some of her song lyrics-"
So he had us quickly look at a few song lyrics from different songs of hers, but the ones he stayed on longest - and the ones he had us do proper academic analysis of - were these from "My tears ricochet" from her Folklore album:
I have to note that these aren't my personal thoughts, I'm just recounting what happened in the lecture, and I'm putting this under a cut so that it isn't super long :
So multiple students (it was a very tightly filled classroom, had to be at least 100-150 students there) had participated in analysing these lyrics and I gotta be honest I don't remember most of the exact details of their analysis because I had a lot of classes today and had been awake since 6am but I'll try to summarize as best I can.
Essentially the main point was the comparison of these lyrics with philosophical concepts by Schelling and especially a comparison in context of this aphorism by german romanticist poet Novalis:
"Wir suchen überall das Unbedingte und finden immer nur Dinge"
["Everywhere we look for the Absolute yet we can only ever find things." (in the original german it is a wordplay)]
So one angle of analysis was that these two verses of Swift's lyrics follow this philosophical concept as posited by Hardenberg/Novalis - such as "home" here, as the only defined location, representing the Absolute , the object of Longing as it is conceptualised in romanticism, this that is desired innately but cannot be reached in ways humanly possible, as humans can only ever find "Things": abstractions, objects and concepts limited in their scope and at most a reflection of the Absolute, something that can at best be asymptotically approximated but not be directly perceived or grasped physically or intellectually. Thus here the idea that the lyrical "I" can go "anywhere" and , following that, observe anything, and yet will always be unable to reach the defined and Absolute of "home."
Home then, as defined by other students in the lecture, would be the innate idea of some sort of absolute security in the self, a place of comfort and belonging and a place of certainty. Home, thus, as not just a location but as a concept: a kind of pre-conscious knowledge of being ('Being' here possibly in the hegelian sense), an experience of pure existence. Suppose an analysis also referencing Spinoza's concept of the Substance, the natura naturans, which singular modi are necessarily extensions of and ultimately 'return' to ( 'return' here used simplifying, as modi constituate extensions or aspects of the indivisible infinite Substance under the attributes of Thought and Extension, which thus cannot really be divided and, following, cannot 'return' to it since they were never truly separated.)
Of course, romanticism and general philosophy of the era being concerned with theological questions as well, one student pointed out another angle to view Swift's lyrics under in regards to romanticist theoreticism, that being the theological one: "Home" as the Absolute and the Absolute as God or a christian-mysticist interpretation of it either way, "Anywhere" as the world of human perception and "Home" as the world of god that life springs from, in relation to an article the professor had mentioned about a Times (iirc) journalist visiting a Taylor Swift concert and calling it a "religious experience" to sing specifically the quoted line with and within a crowd of tens of thousands of people.
In regards to this last point the professor also specified that "religious experience" here is not necessarily limited to the scope of (protestant) christianity but rather is to be seen as some sort of pre- or post-religious understanding of a form of ontological transcendence that escapes the boundaries of rational describability.
Following that we also analysed the album title and its cover art:
The romanticist connection in the title being fairly obvious as "Folklore" as a literary category is something romanticist authors in their nature-mysticism and attempt at distinction from Enlightenment era concepts of pure reason loved to discuss, recreate and include in their works.
Furthermore then the connection of the cover art , which students compared to works of famous romanticist painter Caspar David Friedrich (here the painting "Easter Morning"):
The composition of a lone human figure among the trees during a foggy morning or evening is a very popular motif in (german) romanticism as the fog represents the Unknown and - as mentioned above - the always out of reach and never truly perceptible (by human means) Absolute as well as the everlasting Longing towards it. The trees and forests as well a popular romanticist theme as part of its nature-mysticism and above mentioned contrast to the Enlightenment rationalism as practiced in the cities and structured human society.
Apparently on either this or the Evermore album (I don't know on which as I don't listen to Swift's songs and can't remember which song exactly the professor quoted there) there is a lyric saying "we are the new romanticists" as well.
All this to say that after probably twenty minutes of analysing Taylor Swift lyrics in an academic framework of literary theory and ontological philosophy- as well as repeated promises by the professor that he "is not a swiftie" - the prof stated that "Taylor Swift probably didn't put nearly as much thought into this as we did just now but she is an international phenomenon and does - wether intentional or not - make use of concepts and ideas used in romanticist writing and philosophy so analysing her lyrics seemed apt."

Okay okay this is funny
But
Ich hab die Befürchtung, dass das hier was Tiefergehendes ist. Wir sehen hier, dass Adam überall was isst, wo er was kriegen kann. Überall dort, wo er sich sicher führt (ich meine Leo ist immer dabei und Adam hat offensichtlich die Oberhand in all diessn Situationen) aber wo isst Adam nichts?
Zuhause am fast leeren Kühlschrank. Auch hier ist Leo dabei, aber er wurde vorher dort überfallen, wegen etwas, das seinen Vater betrifft. Trauma Response much.
Also, Roland hat Adam gequält ohne Ende. Ich wette, dass er seinen Sohn durch Hunger zum Spuren bringen wollte. Adam hat also früh gelernt überall da zu essen, wo er kann, weil er nie weiß, wann der König ihn wieder hungern lässt.
Warum hat er das nicht vorher schon gemacht?
Roland ist tot und er dachte, dass der ganze Shit endlich vorbei ist. Aber dann wird er niedergeschlagen und seine Mutter macht wieder nichts. Trauma wird wieder erlebt. Trauma Response setzt wieder ein.

I could talk about Turbo’s death and its symbolism a lot but . Ok whatever IM GONNA TALK ABOHT IT RIGHT NOW.
Not only has he become this fucked up bug thing which is already giving “you would sacrifice your own identity for power and attention” but twisted to an extreme and ironic degree.. there’s also The fact he was essentially hypnotized by the light AND HE WAS TRYING TO FIGHT AGAINST IT. But ultimately gave in to his fate. He flew too close to the sun. It’s almost like that was his internal struggle from the very beginning.
The unquenched envy… the vengeful urge to take over another game the moment people stop paying attention to his. Except at this point it isn’t even a choice anymore because he has gone so far, he has REINVENTED HIMSELF into something entirely unrecognizable and senseless and power-driven. He already did that when he altered his code and fabricated a new identity to infiltrate and usurp sugar rush. But now here it is again- but this time even more extreme and out of his control- he has been reinvented whether he wanted to or not. Playing god gets you in trouble. And now that his coding is combined with cybug coding he’s literally become a virus that has the overwhelming urge to take over and infect everything. But he was already like that in a sense
It’s ironic how in this form he yearns for the Literal light, but that also translates into wanting the light symbolically- the spotlight… and the urge for this light is going to kill him. In every definition of the word. That symbolic yearn for the spotlight not only “killed” Turbo in the public eye but it killed a part of him that valued his own identity, greatly pushing the lengths he was willing to go in order to take that attention back. While chasing that light he fundamentally changed himself and hurt others to obtain it. And now, in this twisted form that embodies his consequences, he’s too far gone to resist it.
And so the light kills him

Happy 10th Anniversary, Wreck-It Ralph!
On this day in 2012, Wreck-It Ralph premiered in theaters to the general public!
It honestly doesn't feel like 10 years at all to me—I've greatly enjoyed my time in the fandom, and there's so much in this movie to inspire analysis and creativity that it still feels just as fresh as when I first saw it.
As usual, I want thank WIR's crew and my friends here for all they've contributed to this film and its fandom. While I'm a fan of quite a few works with heavy online presence, this is the only one where I've been interested in actively participating in the fandom. Times may have been rough recently but I still have more stories in progress and more headcanons to share, especially for such a milestone anniversary!

6 Gründe für die Stagnation werden oft genannt
1. Christentum - nicht hinterfragbarer Glaube, Vorbereitung für das nächste Leben einzig Wichtige. - Karikatur aber oft leider zu wahr.
2. Ekklesiastisismus - Einfach tun was dir gesagt wirst anstatt selbst zu verstehen und zu denken. - Karikatur aber zu oft wahr.
3. Rom - Wie kann das sein? Große technische Leistungen, große Ingenieure - ja aber Unterschied zur Wissenschaft.
4. Methoden - fehlen von Innovationen, Linsen, Mikroskope, Teleskope, mathematische Notationen römische Nummer
5. Skepsis den Sinnen gegenüber.
6. Abscheu gegen physische Arbeit von Sokrates an Sklavenarbeit. Cicero eine Werkstatt enthält nichts für einen zivilisierten Mann.
Mittelalter war stark wo der Fortschritt von der Contemplation abhängig war Philosophie, Theologie, Literatur, Kunst usw. Dies sind auch die stärken unserer klassischen Bildung.
Aufbruch in der Wissenschaft nach der Reformation
Spätes 16. Jhd. wird oft der “Aufklärung” zugeschrieben (Ketten der Kirche abwerfen, individuelle Wissenssuche).
Wirklichkeit:
1. methodologische Fortschritte - Neue Notation, numerische, Calculus Analysis, Linsen.
2. Theologen der Reformation wieder entdecken die Lehre der Schöpfung und von Gottes Souveränität. Wussten die Leute auch schon davor aber diese Überzeugungen waren nicht mit dem Blick auf die Welt verbunden.
Lehre der Schöpfung bedeutet, dass du Experimente mit der Schöpfung machen kannst ohne ein Sakrileg zu begehen. Weil du nicht mit Gott experimentierst wie die Griechen vielleicht dachten.
Die Lehre von Gottes Souveränität gibt die eine philosophische Basis für die Vorhersagbarkeit der Welt. Weil Gott konstant ist und man dadurch

Herausforderungen und Gelegenheiten
Wenn wir kein Commitment Entscheidung zu dieser Art zu denken - experimentelle Wissenschaften haben - werden wir dumme Entscheidungen treffen und nicht wissen welche Theorien hinterfragt werden sollten und welche valide sind.
Wir kommen in ein Wikipedia level Pseudowissenschaft wo man nach einem Blogartikel alles ändert wie man denkt und handelt. (Heute reicht ein Tiktok Video).
Man muss zwischen guter und schlechter Wissenschaft unterscheiden. Ansonsten wird von der minority report Pseudowissenschaft überwältigt.
Wenn wir diesen Aspekt der christlichen Weltanschauung nicht ernst nehmen haben wir der Welt nichts anzubieten.
Evangelistische Fruchtbarkeit setzt voraus, dass wir ein kohärentes und wahrheitsgemäßes Bild von der ganzen Welt in der wir Leben darlegen können. Wir können der unchristlichen Welt nicht geben was wir nicht haben.
Unterschied experimental Wissenschaft, theoretische Wissenschaft, Technik, Geschichte und Philosophie der Wissenschaft?
Experimente mit den eigenen Händen zu machen lehrt uns die richtige Art von Skepsis gegenüber dem Blödsinn den wir oft hören. Versuchung nur die Ergebnisse zu veröffentlichen die deine These unterstützen. Labore oft unkontrolliert und unorganisiert. Spezialisierung verliert oft den Überblick und Vernetzungen.
Wenn du nur die Aufklärung kennst und nicht die Puritaner wirst du die historischen Zusammenhänge übersehen.
Im Nachhinein kann man kaum sagen, was in der Geschichte die Ursachen für bestimmte historische Ergebnisse waren. Wissen aber was Robert Boyle selbst sagt was ihn geprägt hat.
Keine wissenschaftliche Revolution ohne theologische Revolution.
Wenn du dich Dinge fragst in der Welt wie sie funktionieren und dem dann wissenschaftlich nach gehst und die Antworten findest wirst du ein volleres und befriedigenderes Leben in der Welt erfahren.
Um intelligente geschichtliche Fragen stellen zu können brauchst du ein Framework der Geschichte. Brauchst eine Grundlage. Das sollten wir auch in den Wissenschaften anstreben.
