In the name of gender equality, one shouldn’t be careless and expect the other to do everything. Doing housework is considered a basic skill that everyone should know. ♂ ♀
Couples who share a mutual understanding often help each other in their daily chores. The best they do is, divide their work to reduce the time and effort taken to complete a particular task. Also, engaging children in small task help to improve their concentration and learn their sense of responsibility. ♂ ♀
We are breaking the odds of gender stereotypes by bringing equality in the division of housework. ♂ ♀ https://bit.ly/3TIEPCH

This drawing is actually one I chose to suspend from my art studio ceiling, with strings through the tiles, and I think I’d like to keep it there - unless it one day finds an art collector’s home...Art speak for, if you’d like to own this drawing or similar just let me know - I do adore my art being in homes where it is appreciated… #ArtIsForEveryone Happy to look at this drawing whenever I see it, and the memories it conjures up…Of a few years back, when I was drawing large scale on canvas, at the time trying to recapture the speed and energy of my Pen On Paper drawings. I think I’ll take a picture of this in my art studio space, as imo it’s always tricky to visualise art on a tiny screen without scale & context… ✍🏽 👨🏽‍🎨 🎨 Oh yeah, and this Instagram memory popping up also reminds me I’m an artist, a painter, in case I forget haha. 😅 👨‍🎤 👨🏽‍🎨 And it reminds me I’m also a Talent Manager…HR speak for People Development, HR speak for effective HR I.e. HR when done well. 👨🏽‍🎨 👩🏽‍🎨 https://www.instagram.com/p/CorEcULIGY6/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Peace and Love, Black Family!
While many AfRaKans are relieved to know a little over 9.5 decades of Britain’s has come to an end. However, the end of Elizabeth the II does not heal the decades of brutal colonization her family wreaked upon AfRaKah! The true soldiers of Abibifahodie know that this is far from a temporary win because this evil family continues to reign in the minds and hearts of colonized people globally.
Elizabeth and her family in my opinion are the global mascots of “White Supremacy!” Never does the modern day White liberal condemn this British family for their tyranny! Where are the so-called anti racist allies for Black folks when it comes to addressing the atrocities committed by the so-called “Crown?”
I want every Black man, Black woman, and Black child who are able to read this to know that White Supremacy is real, ONLY because we continue to function as if we have to live according to what 🧔🏼‍♂️👩🏼 folks say is right or wrong! Think I’m lying, did you go to work this morning? Did you use their money this week to cover your bills? Will you be subjected to their laws in the event of a “crime?” If your answer is, “yes” then you are living under the system of White Supremacy and you must know our battle is far from over!
Celebrate small victories but don’t get too happy with “small” victories!

"What does identity, real or assumed, mean now in the U.S.? Can people’s implicit biases be unlearned? These were the questions I asked myself repeatedly as I looked over Portrait of an Unidentified African American Woman. The daguerreotype reminded me so much of the popular, stylized West African portraits that I’d seen my grandmothers, aunts, and mother featured in—the direct gaze into the camera, fixed posture, and with an air of confidence. While the black and white images may share some visual similarities, the individual stories of these women couldn’t be more different."
The above excerpt is from a post authored by Imperfect History Digital Catalog guest cataloger Joy O. Ude about her experience writing for the platform. The full post, History and Representation is now available on our blog.
The Imperfect History Digital Catalog creatively engages with the Imperfect History exhibition themes of (un)conscious bias and multiple viewpoints. Four guest catalogers from the curatorial, art history, and studio art fields authored concise descriptions of the same visual material, from their individual perspective as affected by their discipline. A traditionally standardized, “objective” process was made pro-actively subjective and diverse.

The damages of stereotypes
Stereotypes are shortcuts we establish over time. For example, all Blacks are violent. That is a stereotype. Here is how it is used: when you see a Black woman walking up the street, you assume that she probably will pick a fight over anything, so you cross the street to prevent running into her. That is the shortcut.
We use these stereotypes as shortcuts to judge and assume things about people at the very first sight of them, and they’re probably not true. They are also horrible for first impressions because then we never truly get to know the person once our first impressions are tarnished. Once we establish the first impression, we notice only things that prove them right. We never try to prove ourselves wrong.
So take a minute and think. Reflect on your decisions. Why do you think you prefer hanging out with this person over another? In an event where you know no one, who would you approach first? Why? What do they look like? Now you know who your bias is.
Now accept that you have this bias and try to rewire your mind to not assume things based on stereotypes. Make sure you are making true connections with others and always keep an open mind for other perspectives

Peace and Love, Black Family!
Don’t you think it’s is time for Black people to realize that there is NO GOD that is coming from a a celestial realm to deliver us from the evil perpetuated by these 🧔🏼‍♂️👩🏼 devils?
We’ve played their game long enough! We’ve went to their schools! We’ve prayed to their God! We’ve married and mixed our 🩸with theirs! We’ve forgiven the unforgivable! So what more can we do? The reality of our plight is that we aren’t even playing chess or checkers, because aren’t playing the game at ALL!
For centuries the 🧔🏼‍♂️👩🏼 has been making choices for us on every level! We have taken his version of freedom and sacrificed our own birthright to merely survive! Don’t you want more?
To elevate we must DO WHAT WE HAVE NEVER DONE BEFORE! We focus on the rules of their game so much but don’t understand the real secret is winning the game is simple! At least it is to me—STOP PLAYING A GAME IN WHICH YOU DON’T OR DIDN’T MAKE THE RULES! We have the sharpest scissors ✂️ when we have to cut each other off, but can’t cut off 🧔🏼‍♂️👩🏼 folks!
How you feel about that?
