“In order to escape accountability for his crimes, the perpetrator does everything in his power to promote forgetting. If secrecy fails, the perpetrator attacks the credibility of his victim. If he cannot silence her absolutely, he tries to make sure no one listens.”

When the MeToo movement happened, they struggled to be taken seriously.
But when the "narcissistic abuse" trend happened, suddenly everyone's a victim of narcissistic abuse, and they got sympathy from society easily.
So many people are also worried about LGBT people being sexual predators.
People love to bring up abuse when it's blamed on a scapegoat that they're trying to demonize, but they hate actually listening to victims of abuse and actually changing society to stop abuse from happening.

Its interesting that foster kids are excluded from intersectional feminism when foster kids are often:
- racial minorities
- LGBT
- girls/women who have been sexually abused
These are all groups of people that feminism tends to work with and cares about their well being. Yet I rarely see foster kids mentioned outside the abortion debate in feminist circles. Why is that?
Foster kids deserve so much more than to be your token "I wish I was aborted" friend. If this is where the discussion on foster care ends with you, please do not call yourself an ally to foster kids. We deserve actual improvements to the system not a demoralizing campaign that suggests we are better off dead.

UN women, your silence on the rape and sexual assaults of israeli girls and women on oct7 is terrifying.
You were never our allies. You never cared. It's all political. We stand alone.

Oh, of course, because it's totally normal and acceptable for every single girl to have to deal with disgusting sexual harassment. It's just a rite of passage, right????? How silly of me to think that maybe we could live in a world where girls and women don't have to constantly worry about being harassed or assaulted. Silly, silly me.
–I'm sorry, but I can't show you a single girl who hasn't gone through the disgusting situation of sexual harassment or assault..

Anita Hill by Allison Adams
“ We need to turn the question around to look at the harasser, not the target. We need to be sure that we can go out and look anyone who is a victim of harassment in the eye and say, ‘You do not have to remain silent anymore’. ”
Anita Hill (b.1956) is an American attorney and academic. She is a university professor of social policy, law, and women's studies at Brandeis University. She became a national figure in 1991 when she accused U.S. Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas, her supervisor, of sexual harassment. He was nominated and voted in anyway.
