Okay this is your HUGE spoiler warning because I have so many thoughts and my love for this show knows no bounds but I don't wanna take away from the magic of living it through on your own so go watch it!!!

I was so tempted to take away points for that SILLY GUITAR AND THE SINGING 😭🤣 but it's fine they can't help that they're in love dhhxhdj

So, currently writing this at midnight just after 2/9/2023 which was Tinn and Charn's wedding day!!!!!!! These two goofs have come so far and yeah, couldn't be happier for them 🫶

I took a pause in the middle of the episode to collate my thoughts and here was the list I made about the first half:

1. the mma boxing unconventional fight between tinn and nawin, it was giving 'youtube boxing: worst bits!' but it made me laugh so its fine 😭

2. thee having no one truly there for him except tan - his fellow bodyguards didn't even back him, meaning ever since he started working for tan's family he truly has known no one who cares and loves him deeply which 🥹😭 how did he manage to stay so kind through all that

3. thattep that psychopath.

4. nawin being the best character ever

5. how similar nawin and charn are (one just has a few dozen more braincells than the other

6. how charn planned that entire plot knowing the risks not only to his physical self but knowing he could be risking his entire career but he's ready to do that as we saw when thattep called him to prison 🤧👏

7. the one guy that said you dropped the soap in the prison showers 🥲

8. tan using his annoyingness to his advantage and celebrating being banned from an airline - the most tan thing to do tbh

9. thee and tinn link up AGAIN!!!

10. the wedding talk made me emosh.. the entire proposal (lets ignore the singing but even that wouldnt wipe the huge grin off my face as i was watching it) i love the storyline of the song though (hats off to that tumblr user who explained the story behind the song, this was perfect

11. emotional during the seeking of blessings from charn's mum

12. grandma is a gem 💯

13. maya and rose doing so much to help the people they love - they truly are the MVPs

14. tongkhao's dream living on 🥹 all she wanted on Tinn's birthday was for him to be happy and start a family with someone he loves, and he did it 🥹😭🤧

Also, completely ignore the fact that I skimmed over the whole exposing scene because it was decent but I knew, I just knew Charn wasn't gonna die today and a bullet wouldn't be the thing that ended him so IM GLAD I WAS RIGHT 😭

The wedding! OH THE WEDDING 🥹👏 It was beautiful, just everyone who loves them there and present in form or in spirit - seeing the dolls and knowing Tonkhao was there just 🥹 maybe I'm just an emotional wreck but this episode really got me in my feels

I did laugh my butt off when they were taking wedding photos because why so stiff 😭🤣 It served prom in a nice way WHICH IS FINE it was just looking a bit awkward and hence it was funny 🤭

Also I could write entire essays about Tan's storyline but the fact that he never held any resentment for his dad even after all of THAT is just astounding, and it highlighted how even though Thee and Tan are very different, down to their core values, they're the same which is why they're perfect for each other

Speaking of perfect for each other, seeing Rose and Maya get engaged!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH I WAS SO HAPPY FOR THEMM

When Tinn said 'one day' concerning the conversation about the legality of same sex marriage in Thailand, I got in my feels again as you can probably gather is a common theme here, and I realised how much good shows like this promote.. and yeah I won't waffle on too much about that but it was really powerful 🥹

All in all, if we learnt anything from Laws of Attraction, I'd comfortably say it would be... how to say doll in Thai 🤣 (WHAT? It sounds so amazing! tuktā (pronounced too-ka-ta), it's a much better word!)

No, but seriously, what a show, I'd definitely recommend watching it and I hope, whoever is still reading my midnight rambles, enjoys it as much as I did 🫰

Ten good things in 2023,

Love. I felt so loved by my husband, my cat, my friends, and my in-laws. This was a year that I badly needed the love, the support, the encouragement, and the comfort they bought me, and they surrounded me with it. I felt so much compassion from my manager at work and the other two ladies in my department. I got so much compassion, care, and empathy from people who read and replied to my posts on tumblr, who sent me messages. Never doubt that your kindness to your friends and family, to your coworkers, to the people on your tumblr dashboard, makes a difference. Your kindness makes life worth living and it saves lives.

Writing. I wrote a novel! I am so proud of myself for starting and finishing this in 2023, and getting through painstaking rounds of edits. Writing and publishing a novel has been a lifelong dream, and I'm so happy I will be able to see that come true within the next several weeks.

Travel. Getting to experience Greece, Washington state, and Peru was healing in so many ways. I'm grateful for getting the opportunity to experience that and see such beautiful things.

Cooking. Cooking is one of my most beloved hobbies, and I got to try so many delicious recipes this year. It feels great to make restaurant-quality food at home. Shout out to recipetineats and Swasthi's Recipes for being the MVPs for helping make all these delicious meals happen!

Discovering new music. It is SO rare for me to listen to new music. Until fall of 2023, I listened to the same artists I have since high school and college. Friends were the gateway to helping me find inspiring new music - Logic, Joyner Lucas, and BTS, and BTS opened the door to me getting into kpop. BTS, Blackpink, (G)-IDLE, Hyuna, Mamamoo, Le Sserafim, Stray Kids, and Monsta X have fueled great workouts, alongside Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, and Megan Thee Stallion.

Fitness. I got back into weightlifting in late summer/early fall of 2023. It has helped me become stronger, feel more confident, and most importantly, run without pain! My endurance, strength, and cardiovascular fitness is so much better than it was this time last year.

Growth. I became more resilient in my professional and personal life, and I hope to reap the benefits of that resilience for years to come.

Medications. After years of trial and error, and inadequate symptom control, I finally got on the correct dose of antidepressants. The benefits have been tremendous.

Routines. My routines brought me great comfort in 2023. Tea in the mornings, walking Westin in the yard on summer mornings, morning workouts, Saturday or Sunday trips to the garden store and planting on summer afternoons, cooking dinner while listening to an audiobook, watching a show with Derek after dinner.

New hobbies. In the last 2 months of 2023, I got into learning Spanish and scrapbooking. I love both. My ~35 minutes of Spanish daily is a highlight of my day, and I had SO much fun spending hours scrapbooking over my winter break. I'm so happy that I am finally making progress on my scrapbooking project, which I started over a year and a half ago.

I would like to tag @wind-on-the-panes, @broomchickabroom, @northshoretragedyeagle, @disgruntledturtle, @lady-harrowhark, @taylor-renee, @candlemouse, and @chewytriforce, as well as anyone else who wants to do this. It was a fun and interesting challenge to think about what I appreciated most about 2023!

What are your thoughts on the way that Volsung Fa and the Obsidian plotline got resolved? (Because I loved it and wanted to know what you thought)

I am not going to lie, my brain had an bookgasm. A very long, satisfying one.

I loved that there were parallels between Darrow and Volsung, as well as Darrow and Atlas and Darrow and Lysander. And from then on the build up to the resolution started and it was flawless. Absolutely amazing feat of writing.

Darrow's growth reaches new heights when he finally finds his own path:

I knew it will happen. This, the growth, the finsing of himself among all the darkness that has swallowed him, all the bullshit thrown at him, he is all-enduring. For the Reaper may be broken, the Reaper may be delayed, but Darrow is never ruined, never lost.

Darrow has always been inspiring, even when hopeless and loving even when scorned. I feel like Light Bringer is the book when Darrow and Reaper can coexist somehow. He does not see his heart as something he must hide for battle, he is not the lock that keeps the box of horrors shut, he does not put away the key. He is also realistic, capable and apt at what he does - he will do his duty, he will do his utmost, his will shift paradigms - and now has found the joy in it too. Unlike Cassius, he never seemed to enjoy fencing, for him it was always do or die on the battlefield. I doubt he will ever fence or duel for pleasure, but his style of fighting that he dedicated time to has brought him joy and a connection with himself that he thought lost forever.

I knew that if someone can bring light, it is Darrow. For he is an eternal spring of love, he keeps on giving.

Also, he is THEE daddiest, daddy of the Solar System. So fucking daddy, it hurts. He daddied so hard, he Daddy Red God.

Now, unto Obsidians.

I knew Volga would be easy pickings for manipulations. That is why Ephraim tried to spare her any interaction with either Sefi or Volsung. He knew - after all the trauma he himself inflicted upon her, he must have known the sort of cultist court of Vomsung would have been damaging to her.

I was happy to get more information on the Obsidians and their rituals and have Darrow fight as legitimate brother of Sefi and Ragnar, declared so under the Spires. Tyr Morga saves the day, but did not use that to claim superiority over them. I think he felt he owed Ragnar a debt - hence why he kept the beard and shaved it after the deed was done. The mourning period ended, he assured a future for the Obsidians.

The Ascomani guy who took a look at Darrow, saw the ashwar markings and went back to his food was the book's mvp.

Lyria and Volga stans were fed so well. I loved the cxonplexity both underwent in such a zhort and believable amout of time.

The best of all was Darrow's pov however. Why?

Ephraim about Volsung: Horror, terror, pain.

Darrow about Volsung:

The WORST thing that happened? Alexandar was not there. Darrow will not teach his archLancer how to bypass any other style via his own style. Alexandar au Arcos was compared to a Lykos dancer, the wind of the deepmines would have welcomed him. The Breath of Stone would have shined by his movements, as his own eyes would have shined with wonder as his father outdid his grandfather.

Now I want Blood Feud.

rick's crybaby backstory. that's what he calls it. he had wife (diane) and kid (beth) for whom he was going to give up science entirely (big deal for a rick, apparently he's the only one who was willing to do that !) enter Rick Prime. remember how the multiple realities and multiple versions of characters is a big plotpoint. yea. this Other Rick shows up and tries to get our rick hooked on interdimensional traveling but he refuses! bc he says it sounds lonely! ARGH so prima kills his wife and kid. oh well. we Later find out he's been killing everyone's diane and in fact invented a device that allows you to kill evert version of someone throughout every dimension. so rip diane forever and ever

so our rick goes on a revenge spree. he invents his own portal gun - apparently every other rick borrows their portal gun from prime who's the only one who built it himself. besides Our rick. and starts tracking prime down killing a bunch of other ricks in the process. so many in fact that those remaining build. the citadel of ricks. stay with me. it's like. idk a space station something where a bunch of ricks and their morties live and or stop by to mind their business. whatever. so this haunt for rick prime and killing himself over and over is what eventually gets our rick, who was gonna choose his family and human connections over science and adventure, to be as jaded and nihilistic and Alcoholic as every other rick before and after him. f in the chats for my man

so when the premise of the show is "rick had abandoned beth as a child and randomly crashed into her garage and settled down w her a couple of decades later" we know that's Wrong and that he's been on a quest to avenge her and her mom for all those years. aight. now it also ties into the overarching Plot of rick and morty bc during his quest to kill rick prime our rick also got in general trouble w the Galactic Federation who's like. big ass space government. and made friends w people who want to overthrow it. so he helps fight it yippie. this is how he meets my BELOVED birdperson and squanchy The Boys™ gang gang. we don't have time to discuss that rick's in love w birdperson maybe next time. the federation seems to be permanently dead rn if you care

by evil morty i mean THEE mvp i think some of the most iconic episodes revolve around him he got fed up w his rick and almost killed him put like some computer shit inside of him to control him like a little mechanical puppet. slay. then he went on to. become president of the citadel. slay. and revealed his Final Plan of killing a bunch of ricks and morties to create a portal that would get him out of the. my god. central finite curve. which we find out it's basically. every universe in which rick exists as the smartest being. evil morty's Evil Plan is simply to get out from under ricks' collective thumb and live by himself for himself. there's like a whole morty black market around the universe bc ricks use morties GOD I DON'T WANNA GET INTO IT IT'S SUCH BULLSHIT ACTUALLY but evil morty is my sweetheart he was right he did nothing wrong. he had a convo w our morty that knocks your tits clean off that goes like "if you've ever been sick of him you've been evil too" or "he's attached to us infinitely through his weakness and our forgiveness" like it slaps. it slaps i'm sorry what can i say

i feel like i end up talking too much abt rick when i love morty so much more but ofc the old man who goes on space adventures has more to be said abt him than the 14yo boy. but i do love him to death he's had such good if slow growth he's such a. victim to rick lmao even tho we find out very early on that ricks are usually SO much worse to their morties but he's been growing balls! he tells rick off now and finds him annoying and gets mad at him and all that! i love to see it. in fact rick is just as attached to morty at this point. it's so cute to see. grandpa's little buddy FUCK yeah and the other ricks make fun of him for that HA

tiny rick is. one time he turned himself into a teen and went to school w morty and summer. i like that bc he became pathetic and kept admitting he's Sad. beth clone is umm whenever we find out beth is in fact her father's daughter and is probably just as clever and violent as he is he proposes to make her a clone that will watch after jerry & the kids while she gets to go on space adventures like he did. and she doesn't decide she lets Him decide but instead of deciding her fucking. randomizes it so now there's a SUPER FUCKING COOL SPACE BETH RUNNING AROUND BEING BADASS and her own dad doesn't know which one is the original. top 10 most pathetic rick moments. the toilet episode good lord rick has a special planet where he shits and some alien guy finds his special shitter and rick gets really mad at him. the guy tries to make friends but rick refuses until guy Dies and then it's sad. it's sad. pissmaster episode? EVEN FUCKING SADDER it's like rick has a bunch of random enemies that bother him pissmaster being one of them jerry fuckin Destroys him and it's so humiliating that pissmaster. kills himself and his daughter's looking for him and it pulls at rick's weak spot so he. dresses up. as pissmaster. and sets up this fucking. suicide mission where he saves people from a bomb but dies in the process to kinda. give pissmaster a. proper sendoff. give his daughter closure. you know. it was SAD OK!!!! I was almost late to hb Jimin remixes and I want to put my 2 cents

Oc being the nicest invites Park Family bc yeah they're cool and has nothing against them, but she knows jimin will know about it and doesn't want to cause a scene if he appears so she puts JK at the back and shows him a picture of jimin and goes "no Jimin, bad jimin" (just like 478 jk with miso :D) an he'll be like "yes captain 😠" but THEE MVP will be yoongi, even if oc didn't ask for his help he will be at the back and watching if something strange happens (read: jimin trying to go in)

When jk is trying to stop jimin they heard a voice going "leave him, kid, I'll take care of it" and jimin knows he's done, he will never stand a chance with yoongi in front of him :D

De inspiratie achter de zwoele, neutrale middenbruine tint die dit jaar overal zal zijn, is misschien niet wat je verwacht: een paddenstoel. Ja, een paddenstoel - denk aan de dop van een portobello-paddenstoel - en het is veel mooier dan het klinkt.

"Dit jaar is een paddenstoelbruin waar alle natuurlijke brunettes om zouden moeten vragen, als je dingen wilt opfleuren", zegt Katerina Proko, meesterstylist en mede-eigenaar van Arisa Salon. In plaats van warme karameltinten, heeft deze trend aardse, koelere tinten op een asachtige basis, zegt Proko, aangebracht op je haar met traditionele highlights, balayage of babylights.

Ondanks de naam kunnen blondines ook meedoen aan de trend, zonder hun lichtheid volledig te verliezen. "Je zou iets boven de schouder en onder de kin moeten vragen", zegt ze. "Dit kan bij iedereen worden gedaan, van fijn tot dik haar."

Hoogtepunten van geldstukken klinken misschien duur, maar deze kleurtechniek geeft je echt waar voor je geld en kan een geweldige manier zijn om je gezicht goedkoop op te fleuren en op te fleuren. Voor 2022 is het omarmen van je natuurlijke haartextuur - in plaats van het te veranderen - eindelijk * officieel * een beweging, en het wordt hoog tijd.

Volgens Du werkt deze stijl voor de meeste haartypes; zelfs krullerige, meer getextureerde lokken kunnen met het juiste product wat gladheid aan de kruin van het hoofd vertonen. Du raadt Color Wow Mist-ical Shine Spray aan om die superglanzende, glasachtige afwerking te krijgen. "Als je geen dikte hebt aan je uiteinden, gooi dan een clip-in-extensie in voor wat volheid", zegt Du. "Maak het af met een stijltang en wat glansspray."

Jumbo-klauwclips, grote satijnen scrunchies en fuzzy bucket hats - als het gaat om haaraccessoires, zijn de jaren 2000 terug en beter dan ooit. Proko houdt ervan hoe weinig je hoeft te doen met deze old-school Y2K-stukken om je kapsel op te fleuren, of je nu een zacht knotje of een paardenstaart draagt. Het zijn ook ongelooflijk gebruiksvriendelijke en geweldige oplossingen voor het opfleuren van haar op de tweede of derde dag, wanneer je misschien probeert af te leiden van vettige wortels of veel vliegjes of kroezen. Vooral de bucket hat, zegt Proko, is een eenmalige stylingoplossing wanneer je snel de deur uit moet en "je je cool zou kunnen voelen zonder zelfs maar te proberen."

Als je haar te kort is voor klauwen en scrunchies, maak je dan geen zorgen. Je kunt in plaats daarvan altijd een stapel vlinderclips uit de late jaren 90 / vroege jaren 2000 proberen. Wat je ook kiest, deze Y2K-accessoires zijn allemaal aan de kleine kant, gemakkelijk in een tas te stoppen en kunnen zelfs worden gebruikt zonder in een spiegel te kijken.
