#THE WALTONS THE HOSTAGE MOVIE#
John-Boy faces a tough decision when he discovers a friend stealing chickens from a farmer who is shot by a thief the following night. Widow Verdie Grant seeks John-Boy’s aid to win the affections of an itinerant farm worker and his young son. The integrity and pride of the Waltons is severely challenged when the head of a seemingly well-to-do, fashionable family accuses John Walton of being a thief. The Walton family has a monetary crisis, causing a grave misunderstanding that leads Grandpa to leave his dear wife. Trying to write a short story, John-Boy leaves home for a short time to seek privacy but finds himself in the awkward position of having to deliver a baby! John-Boy sacrifices a date with the girl of his dreams to escort an elderly woman on the last and most important journey of her life: a return trip to the sea. With the help and encouragement of her family, Olivia develops a tremendous will to walk, resulting in a sudden breakthrough.
#THE WALTONS THE HOSTAGE MOVIE#
John-Boy is caught in an emotional whirlwind when an innocent afternoon movie date with a pretty girl opens the floodgates of her suppressed and impassioned desires.ĭuring the depression years of the mid-1930s in the Blue Ridge Mountains area of Virginia, the faith of the large but close-knit Walton family is tested when the mother contracts polio and the doctor pronounces her a hopeless cripple. John-Boy puts into poetic words the heartfelt thoughts of the local blacksmith when the stoic mountaineer decides to win a bride through the mail.
#THE WALTONS THE HOSTAGE HOW TO#
John-Boy demonstrates love and understanding as he teaches a proud but uneducated woman how to read and write. John-Boy leaves home to get a job to help pay legal fees when the Waltons are in danger of losing their beloved mountain because their forebears never filed a deed. When Olivia’s uncle, a fastidious man of 64, visits Walton’s Mountain after an absence of 30 years, he becomes involved with a divorcée who is eager to marry again.ĭespite dire predictions that a band of gypsies will steal from the Waltons, John-Boy invites them to live in the family home until they can fix their wagon. John-Boy Walton finds himself in love for the first time when a young girl in need of love and attention returns to her remarried father’s home on Walton Mountain. Tragedy strikes the life of a young girl befriended by the Waltons when her drunken father burns the schoolhouse in the name of religion. John-Boy unexpectedly becomes an undercover agent for the Sheriff, when an unscrupulous relative of the Baldwin Sisters uses their “recipe” for whiskey for his own gain.Ī 19-year-old wandering minstrel causes young Mary Ellen to forsake her family when her help is needed most.Īlvira Drummond, a world-famous actress, becomes a reluctant houseguest of the Waltons when her car breaks down and she is abandoned by her chauffeur. The unexpected arrival of the Waltons’ cousins creates havoc in the home, but John-Boy learns a good lesson from Grandpa. Covington, sends John-Boy’s literary dreams soaring so high that the Waltons lose an important wood-cutting contract. While visiting the Walton family, an old World War I buddy of John’s tries to hide his failure in life with a barrage of wartime tales about his daring deeds.Ī self-styled writer, A.J. The Walton family shares its Baptist heritage with a seemingly unfriendly Jewish family that arrives mysteriously from Germany for a brief stay in a mountain cabin. Grandpa Walton believes a shooting star is an omen of death until he learns that another superstitious belief may result in the Baldwin sisters losing their famous still.Ī young preacher staying a few days with the Waltons leads John-Boy to learn the true meaning of grace.Īn injured runaway boy who is taken in by the Waltons unexpectedly betrays their trust. When John-Boy secretly borrows an antique typewriter from the Baldwin sisters, his sister innocently sells it to a junkman. Unable to pull the trigger to shoot a turkey on his first hunting trip, John-Boy proves his courage by saving his father’s life. The sale of a newborn calf creates such havoc in the Walton family. Olivia’s concern over the friendship between the Walton children and four stranded carnival performers turns to respect and admiration after the family is invited to a private performance. When the Waltons teach sign language to an abandoned deaf girl, the love created by their concern reunites the child with her family.

He only started to heal after meeting his fellow heroes from across time and joining them on their quest to defeat the black-blooded monsters. But when his time-hopping journey takes him back home, he finds his kingdom on the brink of war once more. This war threatens to ensnare not only Warriors, but his newfound family as well. Warriors will do whatever it takes to keep them safe, even if that means becoming a traitor to the kingdom he gave up everything to save. But the harder Warriors works to protect his family, the more the secrets of his dark past come to life. Who is Captain Link Walton, the Hero of Warriors? What happened to the two other heroes he had once fought alongside all those years ago? When this is over, will Warriors even have a family left to save or is he doomed to repeat his past mistakes? (Once, there were three brothers: the captain, the engineer, and the child. Their story did not have a happy ending.)
It's here! It's so long, and I am just relieved that it is finally done. Thank you for being so patient with me as I got this done. I can only hope that you guys don't regret the wait.
In this chapter of my extremely niche fan fiction that is holding me hostage:
Alone, Link spirals and proves himself to be what the kids call "a poor little meow meow."
Spirit and Warriors put their differences aside long enough to rescue Twilight.
Do you know what this fic needed? More characters who are unaware they are the worst person, like, ever.

Fanfiction Master List
Hey guys,
I've been a whump fan since I was a kid. My primary mode of expression is through writing fanfiction.
Most of my work is in the Chicago PD fandom with Jay Halstead as my number one target. I also write fiction here and there for Marvel, Brooklyn 99, and 9-1-1 Lone Star.
Chicago PD
I Don't Have Any Beneficiaries Anyway
Alternate Ending to 2x03 Weigh Station. When Jay fails to get the upper hand and is traded for Alex Price, the team scrambles to find him before its too late.
Just Another Day
Jay gets hurt during a raid. So just another day for the Intelligence Unit.
Rather Take a Bullet Than Get a Flu Shot
Friendly teasing goes too far. And just why does Jay hate needles so much?
Cost of Doing Business
A trip to Med to meet his brother for lunch becomes more dangerous than Jay had anticipated.
He's My Brother
Will knows about the death of Roy Walton and the cover up and he's not happy with his brother's new wife.
Living Donation
With his daughter's life on the line, a rich businessman makes a risky decision. But did he make the right choice?
Your Boy Tough
An annual taser recertification course brings up bad memories for Jay.
In The Wind
In a dense forest, sometimes even ten feet is too far.
I'd Rather Stay At Work
Jay actually admits he's sick. It doesn't go well.
Imbalance of Power
Sometimes the easiest way to make someone talk is to give them the upper hand.
Sacrifices
How do you judge whether a sacrifice is "worth it"?
Where He Should Be Safe
A sixteen part series of Jay having a bad time in places where he should be able to feel safe.
The Past Has a Price
When someone from Jay's past returns to take Will hostage, will the brothers make it out of this one alive?
Guilty Until Proven Innocent
Tag to 2x20 The Number of Rats. Gregory Yates becomes aware that Will Halstead is being questioned and sees an opportunity to shift the blame. **Update 11/19 Tags and warnings have been updated to include rape/noncon elements. It's kind of implied with the Tag to 2x20 but better safe than sorry. There's nothing explicit in this story but it is mentioned.
Upstead One Shots
A series of oneshots featuring Upstead and their beautiful family.
Up-Hill
Tag to my story In The Name of Justice. They might not be on the best terms but when Jay has a panic attack, Will can still find a way to bring him home. Pre-series.
Repaid in Kind
Tag to 9x13 Still Water. After Dylan was arrested, they thought all that was left to combat was Hailey's guilt over not saving Lisa. Turns out there was more.
Tripwire
Pre-series story from Jay's days in Afghanistan. Tag to Guilty Until Proven Innocent. How did Jay recognize the sound of the tripwire in time to dive out of the way?
What's Your Verdict?
The final day in court to wrap up a case that Intelligence has invested so much in takes a surprising turn. Hailey is put in a difficult position and every choice that she makes can only hurt her husband more.
Witness Tampering
The mundane lead up to a trial suddenly becomes a race against time when Hailey's husband is kidnapped to keep her from testifying. Will they find Jay in time? Or will a dangerous criminal evade justice yet again?
Chrysalis
An on the job injury changes Jay's life forever and he struggles to navigate the aftermath.
I Don't Know Me
Jay (at least that's what she said his name was) wakes up after a serious head injury with no memory of who he is or what happened to him. He's relieved when a woman shows up, telling him his name and claiming to be his wife. Finally, someone to fill in the blanks and answer some questions. Only… something about Meredith doesn't seem quite right and he isn't sure he can trust her. But what other choice does he have?
Friends in Strange Places
Jay is taken hostage by drug dealers when a sting goes sideways. But when they find out that his name isn't Ryan Clarke things take an interesting turn.
Missed Opportunities
Have you ever watched an episode of Chicago PD and been disappointed that Jay wasn't more seriously hurt? Well then you're a monster but you're also in the right place because so am I. Alternate episode endings focused on the idea of increasing Jay Halstead Whump.
Childhood Secrets
When Jay learns that the man who molested him as a child is out of prison and that two of the man's other victims have been brutally raped and murdered since his release, he's pretty sure it's not a coincidence. But will he survive long enough to prove it?
Missing PTSD Moments
Missing moments from the show where the events taking place really should have triggered Jay's PTSD. Starting with the ambush from the opening of Forty-Caliber Bread Crumb.
Stigma
When a minor on the job injury opens a can of worms, how will the team handle the revelation that one of their own has been trapped in an abusive relationship? And that another member of the team isn't the person they thought she was. NOTE: This story might be difficult for Erin Lindsey lovers. Please know that I do not hate her, nor do I think she was abusive to Jay, she just fits with the plot that I've come up with.
9-1-1 Lone Star
Burner Phone
Someone from TK's past arrives in Austin to make amends. But is everything as it seems?
Making Him Jealous
When Sadie Beck escapes from prison, she finds another crazy way to get the relationship with Owen that she thinks fate has promised her, making him jealous. Will Carlos survive her latest strategy?
Miscellaneous
Thanksgiving - Brooklyn 99
Jake gets hurt when he and Amy's fathers are fighting, adding injury to insult. Tag to "Two Turkeys"
First Impressions - Marvel
Bruce Banner gets to meet Tony's new intern.

Ordinary thieving Republikkkans taking a stand against the lunatic fringe MAGAts. The 20 MAGAt disruptors don’t even have a candidate but are trying to hold the whole party hostage. There’s a minuscule chance this could lead to a Democratic speaker or a coalition speaker. But don’t hold your breath.
Behind closed doors McCarthy conceded to every point the MAGAt Freedom Caucus wanted but they still refused him. McCarthy blew up at them them at this morning’s meeting and it is alleged Boebert screamed “bullshit” at him. Surprisingly Marjorie Trailer Queen is supporting McCarthy after some unholy back room deal and at the urging of Trunt. Gym Jordan is getting 20 opposition votes at the moment despite himself voting for McCarthy. There’s a slim chance Scalise could be a compromise candidate. Scalise is an establishment (Koch/Walton) Republikkkan but is liked by the “No” Freedom Caucus because he is an open racist.
The big money backers (Koch/Walton/et al) are furious and are directing their people to take this stand against the tiny MAGAt Freedom Caucus disruptors by supporting their anointed stooge McCarthy. With the disruptors (Gaetz, Boebert, Gosar, etc) in power we descend into white nationalist chaos and potential civil war. With the vastly more numerous corporate fascists in control we return to pre-Trunt where the Republikkkans were just happy ripping us off and not murdering us in the streets.
Will we return to the toxic Bush/Cheney era or continue down the apocalyptic Trunt path. The MAGAts don’t have a candidate or a clearly defined agenda beyond disrupting the coronation of McCarthy. They are the minority tail that wants to wag the dog. It’s really bad if McCarthy or another establishment Republikkkan wins and much worse if the MAGAts get the speakership.

Starsky and Hutch’s Girlfriends (and Their Hair Color)
[PBS announcer voice] This post is brought to you by the time I was reading The Ollie Report for Bounty Hunter and came across the memorable line: “Again, Starsky is drawn to the dark-haired girl, Hutch to the blonde. Exogamists they are not.”
These are the two ladies in question, respectively:
Tumblr media
I thought of this quote a lot as I continued watching the show, because it was quite often relevant. But then I got to Starsky’s Lady, and suddenly Hutch’s date wasn’t a blonde! I began to wonder about the quote, and the truth of the sentiment behind it (which is by no means specific to that one blog). Did Hutch really tend to go for the blondes, and Starsky for the dark-haired women?
So like any sane person, I decided to spend a billion hours of my life making a long-ass photo-heavy meta post that hopefully someone will care about. If anyone actually finds this information interesting or useful I will be happy, buuut I guess if nothing else it gives us an excuse to look at a bunch of pretty ladies.
How did I decided who’s here: I started with the list of women from the Canon Compendium’s Girlfriends and Dates page, added anyone whom I felt the boys made a “concerted effort” to flirt with, and then threw out a few people I didn’t think belonged. I tried my hardest to be objective, but making this list was by no means an exact science and several times it really just boiled down to “do I personally believe she should be on here” so like people will have different opinions on that and it’s fine! Spice of life or whatever.
As for the actual contents of the list: I will state each woman’s name and the episode she’s in. (If she doesn’t have a name she’s listed as Jane Doe. This is a cop show, after all.) I will state her hair color-- for Reasons and also My Sanity the only options are “blonde” or “darkhaired” (not blonde), but hair color is fucking weird and sometimes it was a guess so feel free to think otherwise. I will also state the reason that she’s here, aka the nature of her relationship with Hutch or Starsky (or both)-- so spoiler warning for pretty much everything, I guess.
Also fair warning that sometimes I was too lazy to get a good picture, or it was just actually impossible (newsflash: discos have bad lighting). Rip to any women I may have made look bad, you’re all beautiful queens and I love you.
Pre-Show
Tumblr media
Vanessa (Hutchinson Murder One)- Darkhaired. Hutch’s late ex-wife and all-around terrible person.
Laura Kanen (Deckwatch)- Blonde. Hutch’s ex-girlfriend.
Helen Davidson (Lady Blue)- Blonde. Starsky’s late ex-girlfriend.
Kathy Marshall (Fatal Charm)- Darkhaired. A stewardess friend of theirs; it’s never said she’s an ex BUT she kisses Hutch square on the mouth in greeting and is Starsky’s date for dinner/disco. And she dances with both of them. Good enough for me!
Season 1
Hutch
Tumblr media
Jeannie Walton (The Fix)- Blonde. His girlfriend at the start of the episode but not by the end! (Rip king)
Molly (Pariah)- Darkhaired. Stewardess friend/one-night stand? Something like that. Also his date at the end.
Jane Doe (Deadly Imposter)- Blonde. His date at the party.
Abigail Crabtree (Deadly Imposter to Vendetta)- Blonde. The only girlfriend we see in several episodes!! (The only girlfriend that lasts several episodes, whoops.)
Starsky
Tumblr media
Jane Doe (Pariah)- Blonde. His date at the end.
Jane Doe (Deadly Imposter)- Darkhaired. His date at the party.
Amy (The Hostages)- Darkhaired. She works at a café that he’s going to for a second time, to let her know he’s ~available.
Sharman Crane (Running)- Darkhaired. They had a semester of woodshop together in junior high and then they kind of fall in love while he’s helping her dry out.
Season 2
Hutch
Tumblr media
Abby (Deadly Imposter to Vendetta)- Still blonde. Miraculously still his girlfriend. (Until she isn’t.)
Gillian Ingram (Gillian)- Blonde. His now-late girlfriend who fucking deserved better.
Jane Doe (Gillian)- Blonde. Lady at the bowling alley that Starsky discreetly tries to set him up with.
Christine (Starsky’s Lady)- Darkhaired. His date of the episode.
Starsky
Tumblr media
Vicky (The Las Vegas Strangler)- Darkhaired. They don’t really get a chance to go on an official date but they kiss a bunch and he’s really sweet on her and it’s cute.
Andrea (Vendetta)- Darkhaired. His picnic date.
Nancy Rogers (Gillian)- Darkhaired. His bowling date.
Terry Roberts (Starsky’s Lady)- Darkhaired. His now-late girlfriend who, like Gillian, also fucking deserved better.
Laura Stevens (The Velvet Jungle)- Blonde. They’re on a date at the end, but it should also be noted they meet when she accidentally knocks him into a dumpster. You know, like the start of any good romance.
Sharon Freemont (Starsky and Hutch Are Guilty)- Blonde. His evil lawyer girlfriend. (Not that he knows she’s evil.)
Both
Tumblr media
Jane and Bobette (The Vampire)- Jane is the blonde on the right, Bobette is the darker blonde on the left. Starsky and Hutch mix up their names so it’s hard to tell which girl they actually like better, and also they’re twins so like does it even really matter?
Officer Sally Hagen (The Specialist)- Darkhaired. Starsky kisses up her arm in her first scene (someone please file a workplace harassment suit against him), and then at the end he and Hutch keep wrapping their arms around her waist. But she does get to flip both of them over her shoulder, so it kinda evens out.
Season 3
Hutch
Tumblr media
Dianna Harmon (Fatal Charm)- Darkhaired. His possessive, violent nurse girlfriend. (You can really pick ‘em, Hutchinson.)
Dr. Judith Kaufman (The Plague)- Darkhaired. He tries so hard, but twas not meant to be.
Molly Bristol (The Collector)- Darkhaired. His girlfriend du jour.
Anna Akhanatova (A Body Worth Guarding)- Blonde. He’s technically her bodyguard and then they spend like two whole days making out. Good for them.
Mary (Class in Crime)- Blonde. His fishing date.
Starsky
Tumblr media
Jane Doe (Murder on Playboy Island)- Darkhaired. Undercover agent he flirts with at the bar.
Rosey Malone (I Love You Rosey Malone)- Blonde. The entire plot revolves around him falling in love with her and it really doesn’t end well.
Jane Doe (The Collector)- Darkhaired. His date at their late-night deli party. (Bonus Starsky in the picture, hi Starsky!)
Sharon Carstairs (The Heavyweight)- Blonde. Their canoodling on his couch gets interrupted by Important Case Matters, and she winds up getting re-engaged to her ex-fiancé (ex-ex-fiancé?). Rip to a king.
Rachel (Class in Crime)- Darkhaired. His fishing date.
Caitlin (Class in Crime)- Her hair almost has a red tint but it’s otherwise undefinable. Car saleslady/one-night stand.
K.C. McBride (Quadromania)- Blonde. They have a nice taxi date (although he’s been sleep deprived all episode, poor boy, and falls asleep).
Both
Tumblr media
Christine Phelps (The Heroes)- Blonde. She makes them lose all their braincells, it’s painful to witness. This episode hopes you will forget the actress was Gillian last season.
Julie McDermott (The Action)- Blonde. Starsky wins the kerfuffle for her but Hutch definitely makes a good go of it.
Lisa Kendricks (Foxy Lady)- Blonde. They drool and fight over her for half an episode like they did with Christine and it’s embarrassing.
Season 4
Hutch
Tumblr media
Paula (Photo Finish)- Darkhaired. He’s like her date at the party, and also the end.
Kate Larrabee (Cover Girl)- Darkhaired. An old friend of his. It starts out just as a comfort thing but they quickly become very friendly.
Marlene (Starsky’s Brother)- Darkhaired. Starsky steals her from Nicky as a Big Brother Power Move but Hutch winds up with her at the bar.
Marianne Owens (Ballad for a Blue Lady)- Darkhaired. I don’t really know what’s going on here but there’s Something (and there’s a lot of parallels with Rosey Malone, so).
Starsky
Tumblr media
Sergeant Lizzie Thorpe (Discomania)- Blonde. Technically Hutch talks with her more, but Starsky does most of the flirting.
Jane Doe (Discomania)- Darkhaired. He spends literally five minutes dancing with her. Is it relevant to the case? No. Does he care? Also no.
Emily Harrison (Blindfold)- Darkhaired. He accidentally blinds her during a case so he starts hanging out with her out of guilt but I feel like he also kinda falls in love; they kiss at one point anyway.
Marcie Fletcher (Photo Finish)- Blonde. His photographer girlfriend.
Officer Dee O’Reilly (Strange Justice)- Blonde. His meter maid girlfriend. They have a date at the end!
Jane Doe (Dandruff)- Darkhaired. He’s making out with her at the beginning.
Detective Joan Meredith (Black and Blue)- Darkhaired. It’s Heavily implied they slept together. (Side note love u Meredith!)
Melinda Rogers (The Groupie)- Blonde. He has a date with her at the end. (Yeah she slept with Hutch, but he was undercover and proceeds to lowkey rebuff her in the tag, so I’m not counting it.)
Katie (Starsky’s Brother)- Blonde. His date at the nightclub.
Both
Tumblr media
Allison May/Laura Anderson (Targets Without a Badge parts 2 & 3)- Darkhaired. They both try to court her before Starsky realizes she’s his childhood friend (although they do make another go of it in the tag).
Kira (Starsky vs Hutch)- Blonde. Starsky’s girlfriend, although she says she’s also in love with Hutch so then they sleep together which Starsky is NOT thrilled about and it’s a very ugly mess.
Totals:
Hutch:
Tumblr media
Pre-show: 3 (1 blonde, 2 dark)   Season 1: 4 (3 blonde, 1 dark)   Season 2: 6 (4 blonde, 2 dark)   Season 3: 8 (5 blonde, 3 dark)   Season 4: 6 (1 blonde, 5 dark) Overall: 26 (13 blonde, 13 dark)
(If the math looks weird, it’s cause Abigail counts for both seasons she’s in but only once overall.)
Starsky:
Tumblr media
Pre-show: 2 (1 blonde, 1 dark)   Season 1: 4 (1 blonde, 3 dark)   Season 2: 8 (3 blonde, 5 dark)   Season 3: 10 (6 blonde, 3 dark, 1 ??)   Season 4: 11 (6 blonde, 5 dark) Overall: 35 (17 blonde, 17 dark, 1 ??)
(Thirty-five?? Calm the fuck down, Starsky.)
  In conclusion:
“Exogamists, they are not” might have been true back at the end of season 1 when it was said, but it’s certainly not true by season 4/the end of the series. Hutch now seems to favor dark-haired women, and Starsky’s about half and half, although they both wind up with an equal split overall.
Do with that information what you will; I’m outta here.

So I am doing a lotta writing today and vibing. I have decided fuck it and want to share what this book I am writing is going to be about.
Symphony Of A Kidnapping is about two women, Emelia Walton and Celeste Sinclair, a violinist and pianist respectively. The former becomes an obsession of the ladder for multiple reasons, she composes a duet for the both of them and is desperate to play it with her and record it. The best way for Celeste to achieve that dream?
Falsify an event, kidnap the entire symphony Emelia plays for and hold them hostage till her dream is realized of course.
The book will cover that event, their pasts, and the ensuing, odd, unhealthy relationship that develops between the two of them throughout the course of Celeste’s plan.

notable moments from The Order 23 Job
leverage 2.03
Nate: Nobody wants to see this guy just get a slap on the wrist, Ronald, I mean, but killing him? He's a thief, not a murder.
literally !!! this !!!
I’m not even going to go into current events but no matter what someone has done, ESPECIALLY if they haven’t had a trial yet they do NOT deserve to be killed or murdered or anyone (side eyes the US police system). I said what I said.
- - - - -
Ronald: He was smart, responsible, and Armenian, like us.
Nate: Yeah, well, they call these affinity crimes, people who prey on fellow members of ethnic groups
- - - - -
Hardison: Eddie's new address in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, is the original "Club Fed".
Eliot: He's got his own nine-hole golf course. Vegan menu.
Hardison: This dude can play Frisbee with the guys from Enron in the quadrangle.
Eliot: I hate those guys. 18 months in a country club, this guy.
Parker: Yeah, and then when he gets done, he gets to come home and collect his hidden cash
we love to see the ot3 angry about the same things while sitting close together
+ eliot is wearing a flannel in this one
- - - - -
parker doing a happy dance in the vents when she knocks the guy out
- - - - -
(Hardison unpacks computer monitors and sets up a workstation while a video feed of Parker making the bed plays on a laptop. Hardison plays audio sounds on the laptop)
Nate: Hey.
Hardison: Hey. I put speakers in Eddie's room and every 3 feet down the hallway. So if you want to hear footsteps coming toward you, you slide the cursor this way. (demonstrates) And walking away, this way. I made you a master audio file with all the stuff we recorded, plus the sound effects. You mix them any way you want. You're the dj
that’s actually really smart
- - - - -
Parker: All right, well, here's the stuff from the van plus almost everything from the list. (opens a bag) And by the way, nurses haven't worn skirts with white stockings since the '70s. Sorry.
(hardison and eliot share a look)
dumb idiot boys that think it’d be funny to see their future gf in an old nurse uniform
- - - - -
Hardison: If you don't give me that shirt--
Eliot: Listen to me, son, you need those fingers to type on your little keyboard, don't you?
Hardison: So you know, a bully is just a cowboy with low self-esteem.
Eliot: What was that, now?
Hardison: I said what?
Eliot: My insecure ass is gonna be wearing this shirt
- - - - -
Parker: You're not claustrophobic, are you, Mr. Maranjian? (pushes him down the hall, leaning down to whisper in his ear) Because you've got nothing to be afraid of.
I LOVE IT WHEN SHE FUCKS WITH PEOPLE
- - - - -
(Eliot stops to look at the boy, who looks up at him with tears in his eyes)
Hardison: So, say I mention "The Search for Spock", what do you do?
Eliot: I don't have a TV.
Hardison: Everybody has TVs. Dead people have TVs. Damn it.
(Hardison walks away, but Eliot remains, looking at the boy and his father)
- - - - -
Nate: See, y-you tell someone they have a bunch of symptoms and the information gets processed in the executive center of the brain, right? It's job is to question assumptions, start an argument. But if you suggest symptoms, you can bypass all that.
Parker: Like subliminal advertising?
Nate: It's actually neurolinguistic programming, you know, the gateway to the amygdala, which is the fear center of the brain. You asked what we're selling. That's-- that's what we're selling.
Parker: So we're selling...
Nate: Fear.
Parker: Oh. Fear.
Nate: Yeah.
Parker: Cool.
Nate: Yeah
- - - - -
Parker (looking at monitor): Wait, his nose. Is that...
Nate: real blood?
Eddie: I'm-- I'm bleeding! I'm bleeding!
Nate: Yes. Yes, it is.
Eddie: Hello?! Can anyone hear me?! Please!
Parker: Did you just give a guy a nosebleed with the power of your mind?
Nate: Amygdala mania. Hmm. Almond tonsils.
Parker: Is it just me, or has Nate gotten a little sadistic since he quit drinking?
Sophie: Is it just me, or does that make him even more attractive
- - - - -
Hardison: Eliot, can you talk? What's Charlie doing?
[Hallway]
Eliot: I haven't gotten there yet. (looks into room with Trent and his son)
Hardison: No wonder I couldn't hear you on my coms. Eliot, stop checking out the nurses and get your ass down to Charlie!
Eliot: I'm on my way, all right? Shut up.
(Eliot takes out his earbud and walks into the exam room to Trent)
Eliot: Excuse me, sir. Can I talk to you for a second, please
eliot cares SO MUCH
- - - - -
(Eliot grabs Trent’s arm and bends him over the railing)
Eliot: That bruise on his cheek's a week old. The one on his neck is three days. He get that falling, too?
Trent: You don't believe me? Ask him.
Eliot: Why, huh? So I can hear how well his daddy taught him to lie?
Trent: If you're gonna arrest me, go ahead. I'll be out in five minutes.
Eliot: I ain't gonna arrest you.
(Eliot nearly throws Trent over the railing letting him dangle for a moment before throwing him back against the wall. He opens Trent’s wallet and looks at his license)
Eliot: Randall Trent, 73 Austin Street. (puts wallet in his pocket) I got my eye on you now.
Trent: How many guys don't even see their kids? I bet this place is full of deadbeat dads. But a man who provides for his family, who shows his son a firm hand, he's the bad guy? Go back to your speed traps.
(Trent leaves the stairwell. Eliot looks pissed)
eliot is SO ANGRY I love my kind-hearted man
also high key I really thinks this gives an insight as to what his childhood was like
like,,, he saw the signs RIGHT AWAY. he was primed to notice them. he saw right through any act that man would have pulled because he saw what was truly going on, and things like that hit harder and closer when they’ve happened to you or someone in your life
- - - - -
Sophie: You know, I once had to play six parts in "Nicholas Nickleby" and Mrs. Squeers and Phib had a bloody song together.
- - - - -
on today’s edition of non-weapons-that-eliot-uses-as-weapons, we have eliot using the morgue body cabinet doors and a gross morgue body part (?) bowl
- - - - -
(Eliot puts Charlie on top of one of the bodies in the drawers and closes him inside before putting his earbud back in)
Hardison: You think you can just ignore me, like I don't have any feelings, like I never sat there, never listened to you talk all night about tryin--
Eliot: Hardison, have you been talking the whole time?
Hardison: I wouldn't have had to if you didn't turn off your daggum com
hardison worries about eliot and gets angry when he takes his coms out because he cares
- - - - -
Hardison: Oh, man. Come on.
(Hardison moves to tug Eliot before he heads off. Eliot looks from the boy to the police coming into the hospital before entering the boy’s room and pulling the curtain)
Eliot: Hey. How's the arm, my man?
Randy: It's okay.
Eliot: Yeah? My name's Eliot. What's your name?
(police officers continue to move through the hallways)
Randy: Randy.
Eliot: Randy. Oh, I like that name. (sits on bed) I got an uncle named Randy. There sure are a lot of cops around here, huh? You know, if you wanted, you could go up to one and tell them what happened to your arm. Hey, Randy. You don't have to be afraid anymore.
Randy: Dad knows these cops, you know? They come to my house. They'll drink beer. I mean… I can't
this is so, so sad but also hardison’s casual touching and intimacy with eliot gives me life
- - - - -
this is the one episode parker is tased and not the one doing the tasing
- - - - -
okay but wHO ACTUALLY, IN REAL LIFE, LEAVES THEIR KEYS IN THEIR UNLOCKED CAR
- - - - -
PARKER USED ELIOTS PUNCHING TACTICS (from the last episode) TO KNOCK THEIR MARK OUT
- - - - -
(Eddie uses the stunner to knock Parker out. As soon as he moves away, she gets up, lifting her shirt to show a vest)
hmmm I wonder what type of vest she used to block the electric shock ???
- - - - -
(team walks out of the courthouse and heads down the stairs)
Nate: So, here's everything you need to know about criminal law. Every crime has two elements, Actus reus, the act itself, and mens rea, Literally "The Guilty Mind."
Hardison: Wait. Now you're a doctor and a lawyer?
Nate: Yes. Now, for escape, the prisoner has to both break out of custody and show the intent to escape.
Sophie: Wait, so if, let's say, a prisoner was taken hostage during a jailbreak then he wouldn't be guilty of escape.
Nate: That's a perfect example.
Hardison: Kiss ass.
Nate: Which brings us back to our friend Eddie and how the brain reacts to fear. In the heat of the moment Eddie didn't ask himself a simple question, who would doubt his guilty mind?
- - - - -
Bob: Damn right it is. You and your partner, you're all right. I don't know how to thank you, though.
(Eliot looks at Bob for a long moment, then pulls Trent’s license from his pocket and hands it to Bob)
Eliot: Do one thing for me.
Bob: You got it.
[Exterior Apartment]
(Bob knocks on the door and Randy opens it)
Bob: Randy? I'm Deputy United States Marshal Robert Corville. I'm from Boston. I think you and I need to talk.
Trent: Who are you talking to out there? (pulls door open wider and sees Bob)
Bob: Come on.
(Randy looks at Trent then follows Bob out of the apartment)
Bob: It's all right, son. Come on. You're gonna be okay, Randy.
(Bob gives Trent one last look before moving away. From down the street, Eliot watches as Bob and Randy get into a car and drive away)
eliot watching over to make sure the kid was okay in the end? my HEART

TW: Archaeology, booby traps, adventure, stealing ancient artifacts, racing against enemies to get an artifact, near death experiences, snakes, spiders, 1930s, post WWI setting, stereotypes in foreign places, spies, parent-child relationships, mention of double agents, mention of Nazis, rituals, death, gore, sacrifice, hypnosis
Welcome to the Librarian’s Suggestions!
Today’s theme: Indiana Jones (Film series)
Plot: The original 3 films are set between the two World Wars. A young professor and archaeologist sets out to find rare artifacts that have been missing for years. Often he sets out, seeking help from allies to find the artifacts before rival archaeologists and Nazis come across them. Decked in an iconic, weather-worn fedora, trusty bullwhip and pistol in hand, he manages to outwit the bad guys and save the day, all with a bit of luck and tough grit.
The first film Raiders of the Lost Ark centers on the archaeologist trying to locate the fabled Ark of the Covenant, before his Belgian rival and the Nazis locate it. He crosses paths with an old flame who was the daughter of his mentor and she aids him in quest, albeit a bit reluctantly.
The second film Indian Jones and the Temple of Doom was treated as a prequel to the first film, set in 1935 when the archaeologist and his young sidekick, along with a helpless showgirl, escape the Shanghai mob and find themselves in India. They agree to help the locals locate an ancient stone, one of the five Sankara Stones, which was stolen from their village, along with many of the children, who have gone missing. They eventually discover that a cult has located three of the stones and plans to use them for dark, ritualistic purposes.
The third film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was a sequel to Raiders of the Lost Ark, in which the archaeologist receives a distressing letter about his missing father, also an archaeologist, who was looking for the Holy Grail. He eventually finds his father has been kidnapped by the Nazis, who are seeking the Holy Grail for their ruler. Along with his allies, father, and a double agent, he locates the Holy Grail’s location, and under duress, is forced to retrieve it to save his father during a shoot-out.
Later, a fourth film titled Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull came out. Set in the late 1950s, the archaeologist races against the Soviets to locate a crystal skull with mysterious origins. He is aided by a young man, who is revealed to his son from a previous relationship with his old flame from the first film.
Characters
Dr. Henry Walton “Indiana” Jones Jr.: The hero and main character of the film franchise. He is an archaeologist and teaches at an American university. Knowledgeable, quick on his feet, and brave, he tends to focus on getting the artifacts he’s hunting and to ensure they’re out of enemy hands. Skilled with a gun and a trusty bullwhip during his adventures. Despite his rough exterior, he has a caring side and is popular with the ladies. He has a fear of snakes. During his adventures, he encounters many female interests, one being Marion Ravenwood, the daughter of his late mentor. His main fear is snakes.
Marion Ravenwood: The daughter of Indy’s mentor who was in a relationship with him years ago prior to the start of the first film. He parted ways with his mentor, which hurt Marion deeply, who was madly in love with him. After her father moves to Nepal, she eventually grows up and owns a bar there, tending and challenging locals to drinking contests. Her father left her with the medallion that shows part of a map to the Ark of the Covenant, which she wears under her shirt. Years later, Indy approaches her for help with finding the Ark and she reluctantly accompanies him when thugs destroy her bar, seeking the medallion. She cares about Indy and it’s implied between the first and fourth films that they did rekindle their relationship and she gave birth to a son.
René Belloq: Indy’s rival who always follows him, steals the artifacts, and take credit for Indiana’s achievements. In the first film, he is hired by the Nazis to locate the Ark of the Covenant. He hopes to use it to talk to God. In the end, the power of the Ark kills him and the Nazis.
Marcus Brody: A curator and close friend of Indiana Jones. He is sharp and curious, often supporting Indy as a surrogate father figure.
Sallah: An Egyptian excavator who works with Indy whenever he needs help related to archaeological digs and finding rare artifacts. He has a large family and known for his hospitality to his friends. He has many connections in Egypt, often calling on them to help Indy look at objects, including the medallion leading to the Ark of the Covenant. He has a bright disposition and is always curious to see what adventures Indiana gets into.
Willie Scott: A showgirl that Indiana encounters in the prequel while trying to escape Shanghai. Originally from the US, she left for Shanghai when her Hollywood career failed to take off. She is used to living a pampered life and is quickly thrust into a dangerous adventure when she accompanies Indiana and his sidekick Short Round.
Henry Jones Sr.: Indiana’s father and a fellow respected archaeologist. When Indy was a boy, his father often neglected him, obsessed with finding the Holy Grail. Their relationship is estranged and the pair do not see each other, until Indiana is forced to look for his father when he goes missing.
There are many characters across all four films, but the list is too extensive to list in this post. Please refer to the respective Wiki for more information.
Possible Plots
Your muse is searching for a lost artifact and seeks Indiana’s assistance.
Your muse is taken as a hostage, due to enemies thinking they have some knowledge of where a rare artifact or location is. Indiana Jones helps you escape and you both seek out the artifact/location.
Your muse works for the enemy and is a double agent. After crossing paths with Indiana Jones, they have a change of heart and decide to turn good.
Your muse accompanies Indiana Jones but becomes jaded for whatever reason and decides to turn against him.
Your muse is rivals with Indiana Jones.
Notes
While the character of Indiana Jones is male, the concept can be applied to anyone who seeks adventure and finding truth in rumored places and artifacts.
Storyline is set between the two World Wars for the first three movies and post WWII for the fourth film. It is possible to adjust the years slightly for another time period.
Can overlay on top of traveler or adventurer themes.
Great mix of characters to choose from.

Eric D. Wilkinson, MVD Director of Acquisitions and producer of the MVD Rewind Collection curator shares his enthusiasm for these new releases. “I’m excited to be working with our great content partners to bring both Drive and The Go-Go Boys to Blu-ray for the first time, and to give collectors a second chance to pick up Action U.S.A., Mortuary and The House on Sorority Row on disc once again. I’m a geek for video store culture and our packaging reflects that. It gives fans that lived through the video store era an opportunity to enjoy the nostalgia, and for our younger collectors, they get to experience these for the very first time, just as they were.”

The press is almost trying to “will” a recession into being to discredit Biden. All the leading economists are saying we are not heading into one, or only a very light one if at all. Employment is on the rise and unionization is spreading. The economy is still booming and unemployment is very low. Yet the so called “mainstream media” or liberal media is driving a false narrative of impending doom. Why? Two reasons. 1. Ratings. They want tension for ratings and miss the ratings Trump gave them. 2. None of them backed Biden in the primaries and all wanted someone other than an old white male, even though he was the sidekick of President Obama. The fact that Biden won the primaries based solely of the African-American community left them dumbfounded, not too mention the aforementioned community were a main reason he won the general election to boot. The media believes they know better than African-Americans who are extremely loyal to people who have proven themselves allies.
The mainstream media are no strangers to brutalizing Democratic Presidents. Carter took a beating from them. Clinton, also popular with African-Americans, was absolutely crucified by them. Obama was dubbed “no drama Obama” and raked over the coals for being hogtied by Mitch McConnell. Now Biden is being raked over the coals unmercifully, worse than they dragged Drumpf in many instances. Reagan was a hero to the mainstream media. Bush 1 was treated with kid gloves. Bush 2 caused more damage than Trump but was always shown courtesy. Trump did get dragged over his outlandish personality but in my humble opinion not so critically as Biden who in reality is doing a decent job of cleaning up the Trump mess.
Remember the Democrats have only a razor thin majority in the House of Representatives and with Manchin and Sinema openly siding with the Republikkkans on virtually everything they in fact have no majority at all in the Senate. Not all votes in Congress require a simple majority and the Dems just don’t have the numbers to run the show. We are being held hostage by a weaponization of the Electoral College which is allowing a Republikkkan numerical minority to control the Congress.
The Koch political network openly brags about how they own Manchin and Sinema. Koch, along with the Waltons, Mercer, DeVos, Prince, Regnery, and other billionaire families control this nation and are leading us into fascism or civil war to ensure their profits. Hillary was mocked years ago for speaking of a vast right wing conspiracy trying to control the government. Now their are books, innumerable articles, and college courses on what is now out in the open. They are so close to controlling America they aren’t even hiding it any more.
The bigotry, racism, militias, and Christian theocrats are all tools to control what is mainly a southern and rural top-down organized movement. Yes some of the billionaires and their Republikkkan henchmen believe in the bigotry but at its core it is a method to control the deplorables. They had better be careful because the Trump’s and Greene’s could grow out of control. Remember how quickly they took Cawthorn out for running his mouth, not so easy with Trump who can finance himself if need be.
If you want real news without spin you need to read the trusted and established print media, or their websites. CNN which is slanted a bit, while still remaining mostly fact based, has an online presence which is rated as nearly non-biased. Trust the “papers of record” if in doubt. Use google to see what sources are biased left, right, or mainly centrist.

Lone One
In a world so bleak there is little time, Stretching, intrusive hollow spreading doubt, Of a life well lived or a disease unspread, Weak for so long each step corrupts, And breath scorches – Up a long winding path where sky divides – Ruptured sorrow: one for It & one for Them, Elemental hostage to the Outer Rings, Spiralling under Maymon’s Bridge, Through the desolate wastes of Asmoday, Where all desire has dried up, And there is still a mountain to climb – Higher & higher until all poisons evaporate, Fading vision, melting into primal calm, Looking down at a sea of blackness, Eye of a murdering stranger, One more from the deeps of exhalation – Vomitous gout of cloven mysteries reveal, Pulsing seed of anima & shadow, Heading toward the silver-light of the Moon, Of broken open tombs & corpses strewn about, Still, closer to the Earth – closer to the Seed – Unbound voyager uniting with cold-ruin, What’s left of ghosts who did not flee, Staid captors, fragments of the grift, illusory, Beyond which the rotting Sun, final-trace, Sets behind a translucent horizon: abyss-like, Fanning blood across a furious, glowering Eye,  Opening – spreading – spiritless chasm – Before the nullifying radiation of lingering grief.

I READ THAT LONE RANGER PULP BOOK #1 FROM THE INTERNET ARCHIVE SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO
Which is actually a pretty good summary of the whole experience: It was nice, it was fun, but unless you are a really big fan, there are better things you could spend your time with. Yes, even within the Lone Ranger mythos.
Tumblr media
(You can find it for free on the Internet Archive)
I am first going to tag this like on AO3, than give a summary, and finally my own opinion at the end.
Publishing Date: August 1975
Intended Audience: Adults
Pairings: Original male character/Original female character
Tags: Wild West, Silver Origin Story, Railroad, Kidnapping.
Trigger Warnings: Racism (both in-universe and coming from the author), Murder, Attempted Lynchings, Threats of Rape
Summary: Dave Walton and his father are tasked to build the railroad through the West. But their plans are thrown into chaos when the father is murdered. Dave now has to take over the leading of the project, with a group of VERY determined outlaws trying to keep him at all cost from finishing in time. They even go to the point of kidnapping Dave's romantic interest and holding her hostage. Lucky for Dave, a mysterious stranger who calls himself “The Lone Ranger” is there to help him.
My opinion: This book illustrates pretty well the problems of being a Lone Ranger fan: It is good. It is decently written, and the story is fun and engaging. It has been written with an adult audience in mind. And yet. And yet it is hopelessly dated. Worst of all is the racism, of course, but the treatment of the one female main character wouldn't fly today, either.
As I said, the story itself is fun. Not very original in the least, but than I guess that's not why we are reading this any way, so. Guy has to finish his project on time while Bad People keep sabotaging him. Guy likes Girl. Girl likes Guy back. Bad People kidnap Girl to blackmail Guy into abandoning his project. Hero saves everyone. So yeah, the story is fine.
One thing I really liked is how they elaborated  on Silver's origin story, because of course they did. At this point, John and Tonto had been travelling together for roughly a decade, but Silver is a new addition to the team. So yeah, it is really fun to watch the Ranger catch and tame him. But one point of critique: Tonto should have been there when it happened.
The problem is OF COURSE the racism that is embedded so deeply, it has become part of the spine of the story. Mostly, this racism is directed against the Native Americans, all of them, no matter their role in the story. The writer uses slurs and outdated racial stereotypes, and characters themselves keep saying things that are REALLY NOT OK. This had made it difficult for me to read certain parts, especially the end where Kate recounts being held prisoner in a Sioux camp.
While the racism is the biggest problem, there are in fact, more.
For starters, still the racism: It actually ruins parts of the story. Most notably the end, which is basically just John saving the day by being a Straight White Man (well, presumably straight, because what do you mean, other sexualities exist). It's racist, and also out of nowhere and boring. The other thing, Tonto. He barely features in the story, and when he does, he doesn't get to do anything, just sit around in a camp and have some slurs thrown at him both by the author and the other characters. NOT COOL. He is supposed to be one of the two heroes. Meaning that he was roughly 50% of the reason I read this thing in the first place. He is also roughly 50% of the reason why anyone back than would have bought this thing. He should have been treated accordingly.
The other is of course the sexism. It is pretty much exactly what you'd expect, there is exactly one (1) female character, whose main character traits are that she is nice and caring and in love with a male protagonist, and whose main contribution of the plot is getting abducted and needing the men to save her. Don't get me wrong, I like Kate, but... One, this is boring. And two, while I very much enjoy a good kidnapping story, not this way. I don't want to see a woman completely helpless and at the merci of her abductors. To me, that is not enjoyable (your opinion on this might of course vary. It is a taste thing).
And that is the next point, also a matter of taste: This book is written for an adult audience, while the other Lone Ranger stories I fell in love with were more for the family or for children. Meaning they didn't imply things like the female character running the risk of almost certainly being raped, or the otherwise heroic heroes sincerely considering to lynch some people. At times, this story is really DARK. And probably doesn't even realise it. Now some people like dark. I do too, but the Lone Ranger to me is more like the opposite of dark. So I'd much prefer to see him and Tonto run around and help people by playing tricks on the bad guys.
TL;dr: OK book, not high quality but a decent read if you want something easy and not very clever. But also very dated, and therefore racist and doesn't treat certain other subjects with the care they deserve. Would not recommend for anyone who isn't already invested in the mythology (or old pulp books), because of these exact reasons.
