in game i dont think spamton would be able to comfort anybody due to fixating on his own traumas (and often projecting its own insecurities on other people as a result) but even in a therapy setting I feel spamton would still have trouble. Like, especially in afttp after learning healthier coping mechanisms i can see spamton wanting to help people (the other addisons in particular, especially sam) but not knowing how to—especially with words. Spamton isn’t good with finding the right words, so instead tries to help through its actions. The thing is, I don’t think Spamton would know what right actions to take either, and when they think abt comforting someone Spam thinks abt distracting them from the problem (because I imagine that’s also what he does by force of habit—distracting and pushing away its own problems) but instead of projecting and talking abt himself like before Spamton tries to take them somewhere or do something they enjoy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, yet spam is learning.

the thing about Three Stories is that it shows what makes house’s methods so special. three stories, three patients with inexplicable leg pain. the first two are treated by house and his team, who go above and beyond to find what’s wrong with them, no matter what; both patients return to their lives happy and healthy. the third is dismissed by ‘normal’ doctors as a drug addict for so long that the diagnosis and treatment are too late for a full recovery, making patient 3 the only one who still has to live with restricted mobility and constant pain. and then you find out patient 3 is house, and he’s doing for others what should have been done for him. ough

#especially when u add that to the fact that he’s pretty bitter abt his disability #like. nobody cared enough to help him when he needed help and now he obsesses over solving every case #if someone had put in that much effort to solve HIS case he might have been almost totally fine #it really gets me how the ‘drug addict’ story starts with a guy who literally cannot stop screaming bc he’s in so much pain #his pain wasn’t given enough consideration years ago and now he’s STILL IN PAIN #all the time #obvs house’s dedication to Solving The Case isn’t always a good thing #but he definitely gives more of a shit than a lot of doctors do #he’s Committed. he’s Invested #if he has a patient w a problem he will find and fix that problem or die trying #and that is exactly what he needed when HE was a patient—someone who really wanted to deal with his problem #instead he got vague indifference and a lifelong leg injury #house md #bay’s originals

ive just been thinking likeee obviously we know sam and dean are insane, this has been established!!! but i was specifically pondering how dean, since they were both children and then later when theyre both adults, has felt like "watching out for sammy" (etc) is his job and responsibility. obviously cuz of john putting that on him, but its still definitely A Thing.

Ok we know all that but my point is!!! what ive been randomly thinking about lately is how much moreee insane dean would be (in regards to sam i mean) if they were more than their 4 years apart in age. just thought of it cuz of other media where the older sibling is, well quite a bit older and how if that was the case the Parentification™ would be a lot more intense yknow? like hes already How He Is but like.. yea not sure where i was going with this but ive been having thoughts thats all.

Anyway its Red Bull (and to a lesser extent AlphaTauri but they're more or less victims in this), they annoy me. Bottom line everything else aside they just sound like they have a massive ego and I do not like how rbr in treats a lot of it's drivers and rookies/juniors especially. No one is a saint in that regard but rbr is worst of them imo
