(8) Grand Theft Autumn: Patrick told the story again of how he wrote the lyrics while jogging with Pete. Here is exactly what he said, because I recorded it, hahaha: "I wrote this song out here, jogging, trying to figure out the words. This was back when I wrote a lot of the words. And Pete was jogging with me and he was like, 'Eh, maybe change this, maybe change this.' Before we knew it he was writing all the lyrics." And then Pete said, "Imagine us jogging" lolololol

Also, there was some plan I wasn't aware of to, like, hold up cell phones with pink paper over the lights so the crowd lit up pink???? I have no idea who engineered that but it was CHARMING and at the end of the song Pete said, "Thanks for that, guys, that was beautiful," and the stage was on darkness so it seemed absolutely spontaneous on his part and I think they really did like the effect, so, Idk, future shows, keep doing it????
(16) Patrick did some kind of piano interlude where he played "Don't Stop Believin'"????? It was random but he was super charming, I think the rest of the band used it as a break, it was just SO GREAT. Part of his intro was: "Pete was putting together this show and he said to me, 'Hey, you should play piano.' And I was like, 'I kinda only play songs I wrote. I don't really play piano. I don't know how to play piano.' And he's like, 'Eh, you'll figure it out.'" And then Patrick sat down and played gorgeous piano ugh THANKS, PETE.

The show ends with a little piano version of So Much (for) Stardust played over the sound system, so pay attention for that.
The set is super Alice in Wonderland-y and I adored it, it's playful and fantastical and has all these whimsical touches and interludes and I just thought it was delightful and at one point there were bubbles, and I heard some people complaining after the concert that the fantasy thing didn't suit their style of music and really, I was surrounded by downers after the concert, I thought they were perfect hahaha. Like, ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. They looked so, so, so tangibly happy, all of them. Patrick sounded fantastic and he looked like he was having a blast, he smiled the whole time.
I have a lot of videos but they seem like they're all pretty terrible, but I'll see how I feel in the morning lol

i’ve been following ur writing for some time now and i do have to agree with that anon who said you did CH dirty. you are a very talented writer so it’s just hard to watch.
you started off CH so strong with the lore and little chapters here and there but as it progressed you kind of just got lazy and it shows. when important events happened in the story, they weren’t conveyed through writing but through the texts (ie the riki and yn fight, that was definitely worth a written chapter) and it was honestly disappointing.
the ending isn’t much to say about either. yn and hoon barely go through development after the letter incident and all of a sudden they’re dating and married with a kid like two chapters later?
idk, if it was a mental health issue then i get that but even then you should’ve just gave it a break and thought everything out more. you could do so much better.

i wanna put you through the progess of a piece of writing from the POV of a writer okay? now keep in mind: i work two jobs, am a fulltime uni student and the daughter of an immigrant household with two parents who still work most of the day just so you know what else i have to deal with, besides my mental health okay?
now, i started off CH strong right? yes. i uploaded on the daily, fine i chose that. a chapter usually takes me around one hour if i actually sit down and focus on nothing but the chapter itself, which includes IG stories, editing, formatting etc. alright
on top of the daily chapters, i constantly replied to 40+ asks a day, a blessing in disguise because no matter how much i enjoy talking to you guys, the pressure does get worse the bigger that number of my inbox becomes, i hope this makes sense
now, i started CH back in october, right when my semester started, thats why i started off strong but as time went on, my assignments and private life got too busy and i guess i felt entitled enough as a writer to skip a few certain chaps and make life a little easier for me by making them regular chapters instead of written ones.
and this is gonna be my main point: i'm not a machine. i wrote a minimum of 5 THOUSAND words per written chapter, MINIMUM. we're talking about a 5-9 THOUSANDED worded chapter EACH WEEK. which usually took me about 6-7 hours, even allnighters.
yes, i chose to do that and maybe my time management wasn't the best but i had to create a compromise where i wouldnt have let you guys wait for over two months which would have resulted in me losing my motivation completely, and yet still focusing on EXAMS. because you know, i'm a fulltime uni student with TWO jobs 😮💨
if YOU think i did CH dirty go write an alternative ending yourself but it should be a minimum of 15 chapters including 5 written ones, with at LEAST 9k words each yeah? i wanna see you manage it all, pls prove me wrong snd show me you're better than me i'm genuinely begging bc it might inspire me to do "better" next time.
as a writer/artist/creator, and i can tell you probably arent one yourself or havent been one for long, the longer smth takes to come to an end the worse the pressure becomes which results in a blockage i dont wish upon my worst enemy i'm being deadass. i dealt with some of the worst writer's block ive had since i started writing literally 12 years ago and you're telling me i should have just "taken a break" and do "better"
i never, ever expected anything from anyone but some of you are so entitled to a writer's time and skill it's giving me a headache. maybe you didn't like the timing and writing of the last few chapters of CH and i guess that's unfortunate but this was so unnecessary because you completely dismissed everything else that could have been going on in my life and even belittled my mental health issues like im some fucking AI writing machine
do better, be nicer, write it yourself if you don't like it i'm so fucking over this
if i had gotten out of my own comfort and wellbeing and have actually written another set of written chapters i would have burned myself completely out. ive been in this fandom for not even a year and have already finished FOUR smaus with 50 chapters each, you do NOT get to tell me what i should or could have done better because you dont even give a fuck about me as a person this is just about receiving what YOU think YOURE entitled to but this is MY art and I will do what I see fit even if it's not what was expected of it because i'm a fucking human being with a life before i'm a writer on tumblr
oh, also: i do this for free ㅤ:) just a reminder :) this is my HOBBY :)
and don't you EVER call me lazy again when it comes to writing because i'm not gonna pour my heart and soul into a fic just for you to call me lazy when i literally wrote 50 THOUSAND words for this fucking fic just for the written chapters

The Roo-seum...

Now onto me ranting.
The Roo-seum is a 16 sim project that's consumed me for the last couple of days (in a good way), this explores most of Roo's lifespan (not implying he's dead LMAO), from the age of 9 years old, up to now, 28 years old, talking about what he went through for each year (for the most part anyways), of course, I didn't start at 1 or 2 years old, mainly because, way back when I made all of these Roo's (roughly back in July '23, this is not an idea that suddenly sparked, I only acted on it because I have a way to show off each age that isn't a Picrew lmao... I can't draw well so I just used TS4), I made them in Picrew, which... at the time couldn't find a Picrew with kids/babies so the youngest I went was around 9 years old, and just built up from there.
Roo is my persona gone OC, around 5 or 6 years ago, I put on this persona of "Roo", which started as "The Unfortunate Roo" and Roo's (or Mine, since this was technically a Persona, doubling as an OC) design was COMPLETELY different back then, He wasn't a he, the design was a sucubus I think, I don't really recall and I really couldn't care for it, it's embarrassing 💀 I don't remember how he came to fruition, but I remember finding this one picrew that I LOVED, and I used that picrew to create ~Roo~, his initial design was akin to the 22-23 year old Roo, there's a lot about his design that I could talk about but will avoid doing so, but just know that his Sims design isn't super on the dot to what his actual design is supposed to look like.
So... what's Piametia?? Why did you come up with that?? How did you come up with that?? To be honest, I never actually came up with a name up until yesterday when writing the note for 10-12 year old Roo, I don't really remember what sparked me to come up with a condition that "has the Patient suffer a sudden loss or gain in pigmentation and melanin in the eyes and hair," I guess 17 year old me thought it was cool, and it is! It opened up a new story for him, where I couldn't provide story (for someone without Piametia), like how being affected by Piametia caused him to go from extremely accepting of himself, to getting bullied into "normalizing himself," While he achieved this, it was really in vain, because he was still bullied for his condition, but as he grew older, out of his teen years and into adulthood, it bothered him less and less, because, well, shit like that doesn't fucking matter, sure it still bothered him, sure it still traumatized him to some degree, but it's just what some stupid kids say, it doesn't determine what his worth is, and he understands that, so after recovering from almost ending his life, he realized that something had to change, he couldn't live in this wallowing ball of agony because some kids determined "hey! That kid is different! They're no longer as cool as we are! Get him!!"
I should also mention that he didn't develop Piametia til he was around 9 years old, which is exactly what the condition does, it's genetic (although it never occurred in Reese or Virginia, the only reasonable conclusion was that it skipped a generation) and it's drilled into the person's DNA and only takes effect before puberty (in the average kid). So Roo was considered a part of the other kids' little cliques and stuff, but only until his hair and eyes changed color.
I kind of hyped this up to be something extravagant and maybe it is, idk, I don't have the eyes of the audience, I'm just a guy who made this and I have a rather critical view of my work sometimes, I try not to, but force of habit lmao. I really liked making this because Roo is an OC who has grown with me, mainly because he's both a persona of me while also being an OC, so where I change and grow, he often reflects that change and growth, in his own ways of course, I often wish he was real, but he's not and that's the harsh reality. Also gonna clarify that his life does NOT completely reflect mine, I'm only 18, he's ten years older then me lmao, where he was 8 I was 10 years to be conceived- Roo is still his own character, he's had his own relationships, all of which have went poorly (reflecting my own), and even had his own stalker (which escalated)- But parts of his life like when he became extremely homophobic of himself and who he truly was is not reflective of myself, I never had that stage in life (whether you did or not however is not a bad thing unless your actually just homophobic, then gtfo like?? 😭).
I went on a rant there, and I probably could've kept going, but figured I should stop at some point lol, but I hope you guys like this, I sure LOVED making this and I love doing Roo related things and posts. I also provided text in the image descriptions in case it's hard to read in the images (I tried to keep it as clear and readable as possible), and in case anyone who uses a screen-reader finds this post :)

lol loads. at one point in life like... fifteen years ago, most things i wrote were co-written with a friend. and i've done it a couple of times after that too. i really like co-op stuff tbh but haven't found people to collab with lately.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
ehhhh at this moment i doubt i'll ever finish anything. maybe the lifeguard au? i was red-hot for the idea at first but then it kinda... fizzled out. kept changing. got ruined by pushy ppl lol. but maybe i'll get back to it one day bc i would love a nivannedy summer romance tbh.
16. What are your writing strengths?
uhm. characterization. dialogue. emotional shit? idk i think i do best when i have intimate moments with two people. tiny everyday moments and mundane shit. like that. if i get going writing sometimes flows super well and i think i can get consistently readable stuff done in one go. but that'd require getting going lol.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
action. i suck at action. i also suck at it in the way that i can't actually make myself start writing. i got way too co-dependent when i still had people excitedly participating in the process and now i sit here sad doing nothing :'D but anyway. writing action and having some self-discipline lol.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
depends very heavily on the context. in general i do think it should be all in one language for readability but there are exceptions. i've done it too lol but it was only like a line or two in finnish :'D
19. First fandom you wrote for?
diru, twenty years ago lmao, it's like a different lifetime. i only learned of the existence of fanfic at the ripe old age of nineteen lol but yeah it's still been so long now.

asdjfngkn i can not choose between all of my children c'mon. uhm. am just gonna say the self-indulgent series bc it truly was so important to me for so long and i'm still devastated it ended. sigh. now i made myself sad again :'D

91.. i have no idea how it got to that amount. most of them are like 500 words though. just bits. i also have 33 on fanfiction dot net but haven't posted there in years and years
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
146,927. which means i'm somehow significantly under my fanfiction dot net count (232,934!!) despite the 91 fics. damn what was i on back in 2015
3. What fandoms do you write for?
well you all know about the elder scrolls ones. have dabbled in dragon age and mass effect, but don't often publish what i write for those. my 2015 obsessions were merlin and sherlock and occasionally atlantis but they're pretty much abandoned
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
cannot really answer as i got hit a few times by the kudos bot. the formation of a courier is incontestably up there. as is where were you when the dragonborn came, but i've a feeling people accidentally end up on that one thinking the title is uhhh innuendo
5. Do you respond to comments?
i try to... i don't get too many and idk what to reply other than 'thanks! :)' though
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
an ultimatum and well laid plans maybe... i can't really say that my fics have endings. since they're mostly scraps and i never finish longer fics
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
see above... i try to end things happily but since i'm writing fics from the middle it's not always obvious from what i publish
8. Do you get hate on fics?
thankfully not. except an instance of delphine hate that wasn't very favourable to the fic either. and that one time way back when, when someone criticised a fic for being unrealistic. because the count of monte cristo is so realistic
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
i do not. the only time i tried, it ended up extremely non-explicit anyway. and i deleted it off ao3 because it was cringe but it was getting tons of hits from people probably expecting more. i used to tag my fanfiction dot net ones with 'this will not contain smut or anything like that' because i didn't realise that smut was what people were mainly looking for
10. Do you write crossovers? If so, what's the craziest one you've written?
i began a merlin/sherlock crossover that got quite popular but which i never finished... the crazy thing ended up being not so much the crossover but the existence of a magical teleporting conservative mp

i used to translate my own fics into french... i no longer have the translations but knowing how bad i was at french in 2015, i doubt they were readable. maybe i ought to try again... since nobody else appears to be doing so hehe

no although i have written crack fics with my sibling that would never make any sense to anyone including us

i'm not really in this for the shipping... my oc victoria hatteras and her platonic soulmate harbert brown will always be my otp but i do not publish anything about them. am however fond of julienne and marcurio (all the book smarts and none of the street smarts), and lunette and ilmeni (which despite lunette's cavalier attitude to romance, i am determined will be perfect)
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
occasionally i still get requests to continue the aforementioned merlin-sherlock crossover. but that's probably not happening. really the answer is 'literally any of them' since i don't remember the last time i finished a multi-chapter fic
16. What are your writing strengths?
uhhh uniqueness. chaos punctuation. sounding like i died two hundred years ago
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
anything actually happening that involves like movement and stuff
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?
i've not thus far felt like i needed to, at least for tes. if a fic called for french or german, then i'd try. if it called for anything else, i wouldn't trust myself or google translate enough. idk how readers would feel about that... i already invent words from french sometimes

Nope, but the spelling of my name does come from a Dr. Seuss book.... oh wait also my middle name was named after some Kiwi (NZ) person who was popular at the time ?? because my parents didn't think we were going to stay in NZ and wanted to give me a connection to there (plot twist we ended up staying and I have no clue who the supposedly famous person is)

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I used to. I read and love every single comment I get, please don't get me wrong, comments absolutely FUEL me, but responding?? I have so much anxiety, it used to take me HOURS to respond to them all. Eventually it got to be so much on my emotional health that I decided it would be better to channel that into writing more for people to enjoy, so...that's what I do now. Again, comments fuel me, and I love you all, and I read every single comment and even have a lil' scrapbook of comments that I go back to whenever I'm feeling down about my writing, so I hope this doesn't give off the wrong impression...
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Easily Fracture. If you've read it, there's no explanation needed here. If you haven't...let's just say someone gets turned into a rug, among many other horrible things...
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Uh...most of my fics have a happy ending of some sort. Some you just have to wade through more angst and whump to get to the happy ending than others. I think Missing and Presumed Dead had an ending I thought was perfect for it, as did Darth Vader Goes to Therapy. Both were happy endings AND endings that I thought were perfect for the story that was told.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I write for Star Wars. Yeah, I've gotten hate XD. Thankfully, it's rare. Usually people get upset with my interpretations because "iTs NoT cAnOn!" I really just don't care, so I just laugh and move on. Like if you wanted canon, why are you reading fanfic?? Probably the craziest though was when someone went on one of the biggest Tumblr blogs in the SW fandom and used my Darth Vader Goes to Therapy fic to support their argument that the Jedi were evil or whatever (idk, I wasn't part of the argument) and beyond the fact that it's wild to go into a fandom canon-based argument with super out of context quotes from a fanfiction to support your argument, but to do it with a fic that I 100% wrote as a COMEDY is just. Wow. I was suddenly flooded with so much hate from a bunch of people who had never read my fic, thought it was a seriously written piece of literature, and assumed I agreed with everything the person said and I didn't even know until I went to the post and had to defend myself...every once in a while someone will not see that defense and will message me more hate. Like it's a crack fic. Granted, I DID do research on real therapy practices because I didn't want to make a joke out of therapy, but everything else was 100% a joke. I'm really glad people love it (so do I!) and resonate with it, but it's not canon. I don't think the person intended for me to get so much hate, so I definitely don't blame them, but it was a lot.
9. Do you write smut?
Um. Ahem. I may or may not have a private stash from like. Deleted scenes in fics that had romance in them back when I wrote those. That I will. Definitely. Never publish. Don't worry about it. >>
10. Do you write crossovers?
Yes! Though I've only done a few. I think the only one on AO3 was the crossover with The Last of Us, done before the TV adaption.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Sort of. There was that scare a few years ago when everyone thought a random website had stolen everyone's fics, but it turned out it wasn't that exactly. AO3 isn't available everywhere, so there are sites that are just set up to mirror whatever is on AO3 so that people can read fics on that site, and it happened to be one of those sites. Oh boy, though, did they get a lot of hate mail before it got clarified. Then there was that time I had someone write a fanfic that they said they wrote with a similar concept to my ff.net story Second Chances, but then one of their friends was like "this is a rip off" so they asked me to read it before they posted it to make sure they hadn't ripped it off. Except...it was almost 90% word for word....so uh. I didn't give my blessing and I don't think it ever got posted lol.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes! I've had fics translated into Russian, Chinese, Korean and French. My most common requests for translation are Russian and Chinese. I've never actively tried to get something translated, it's just whoever asks me for permission.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes! (I'm keeping Aza's answer for this part since it's true) There's the memorable Great April Flood, which was basically a dozen of Star Wars writers gathering together to do a massive round robin with tumblr asks prompt fills (those three sentence fics, if anyone remembers) in order to flood our side of tumblr on April Fools in 2020.
I also did an Inuyasha fanfic with my cousin when I was a teenager, and I didn't technically co-write it, but I did heavily work with a specific character for my Fushigi Yugi Genbu Kaiden series with my best friend in high school as well.
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
I mean, I'm pretty open to whatever. I think I've written Luke with like....5 or 6 different people depending on the story?? But if I had to choose, I guess I'm pretty consistently Percybeth, so I guess them???
15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
The Assassins Blade. Like it was a great story....but omg. I got so much harassment about the most random things, sometimes on every. single. chapter. it just wore me down and I just don't write romance-centric fics anymore, which is sad because I DO like writing romance.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Finding the comedy in even the darkest moment. Taking a horrific situation and really just letting the characters feel the emotions of the moment, letting them bask in the consequences of either their actions or the actions of others.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Well, anyone who has ever edited my stuff will probably say "too many redundant sentences" and you know what? They're right. Fluff-centric scenes are difficult, as well. I also will disappear for months on end when I'm just. In a weird funk. Which I still kind of am in at the moment, but I'm actively trying to break through it.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I don't really have an opinion on this one.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
First one I wrote for: Final Fantasy X, but my mom wouldn't let me publish because it was the days of the internet when all parents thought their child was going to be kidnapped if they did anything other than look at the internet. It was bad though, so I'm not sad I didn't publish.
First one I published: Inuyasha. I published behind my mom's back, and got in trouble when she found out, but then she looked at everyone's comments and figured out that I was not, in fact, overly in danger of being kidnapped, so she let it go.
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
Darth Vader Goes to Therapy. I will never be that funny ever again. I achieved my peak comedy with that fic. But a very close second is Missing and Presumed Dead, and sometimes, depending on the day, that one is my favorite and DVGTT is a close second.

1) The last book I read:
The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice. I'm currently doing my annual re-read of TVC from start to finish but it's taking me longer than last time for some reason.
2) A book I recommend:
Loveless by Alice Oseman. Ik it's not the only book out there to explore asexuality and being aromantic as well, but it's the first one I personally read and I think it's a really good example of it.
3) A book that I couldn’t put down:
A Dowry of Blood by S. T. Gibson. Predictably, it's more vampires lmao. I wasn't initially sure about how I would feel reading something in second person, but it actually works really well imo. I really love how it's told by one of Dracula's brides; I can really get into the characters, and understand her situation.
4) A book I’ve read twice (or more):
So many of my books I've read several times, but one in particular is Wolf Brother by Michelle Paver. Actually just the whole Chronicles of Ancient Darkness series. I grew up on them, and I've read the whole series several times over. I like that it's set six thousand years ago, because I don't think I've personally ever read anything in the fantasy kind of genre in that time period. This series has a special place in my heart.
5) A book on my TBR:
I have too many. I think one that I do really want to get to though, is Les Misérables by Victor Hugo. I've wanted to read it for a few years now, and I've had the book since last year but I haven't gotten round to it yet.
6) A book I’ve put down:
Normal People by Sally Rooney. I got it as a birthday present from someone in my family a few years ago, and when I saw what it was about it didn't sound like my kind of thing but I figured I'd give it a chance. Yeah, it wasn't doing it for me lmao. I was bored tbh and the lack of speech marks around dialogue was confusing me. Overall it just wasn't my type of thing anyway and I only got a few pages in before I put it down.
7) A book on my wish list:
I've been really wanting to get a copy of the Grimm's complete fairy tales. I know some of how a few of the fairy tales originally go, but I've been wanting to read them all properly for years now.
8) A favorite book from childhood:
War Horse by Michael Morpurgo. I read this book religiously as a child. I would read it and then as soon as I was done, I'd read it again. I'm honestly not sure why, but there was clearly something about it that resonated with me, even as a kid. I actually still have the same copy I owned as a child, I don't think I'll ever get rid of it. It's very special to me.
9) A book you would give to a friend:
The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien. Idk what you want me to say lmao. It's LOTR, everyone should read it. I know it's a trilogy, not just one book, so I am cheating a bit here, but it's too good not to mention. It's fantasy at its finest, what can I say.
(I was gunna say Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice, but that's obvious coming from me and I don't want this whole thing to be overrun with TVC lmao.)
10) A book of poetry or lyrics that you own:
I won't lie, I don't actually have any of either, I've never really been interested in things like that. It's just not my thing.
11) A nonfiction book you own:
Buried by Professor Alice Roberts. I haven't actually read it yet, but it goes into looking at burials from centuries ago and how people would have lived in different periods of time, based on burial sites.
12) What are you currently reading:
The Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice. Again, this is because I'm doing my annual re-read of TVC, but it's taking me an unusually long time to get through it this time round.
13) What are you planning on reading next?:
Apart from moving onto The Tale of the Body Thief by Anne Rice, I think the next thing I want to get to is Carmilla by Sheridan Le Fanu. I've never read it before (Ik don't shoot me), not because I didn't want to, but just because I never got round to it. But I got it recently so I'll be reading it soon!

I've written for a few. I was active in drarry for years. My most recent non-drarry ones were wangxian (MDZS/CQL).

I do, except that on multichapter fics I only respond to the final chapter comments. I love and cherish each comment, though, and they make me more happy than I can express.
6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
The Death You Carry. It's an MCD terminal illness fic.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Most of my fics end happily. The most happy... Well, DNAB I've mentioned above, I think that ends pretty happily, but I'd add The Unquiet Grave too, because the drarry relationship in it is very joyful (imo).
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I've never got hate. The worst has been some entitled comments, or a bit rude and thoughtless. A recent one was like that. Occasionally, one or two people mentioned something they didn't like or understand in my story and that led to interesting discussions.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I do! Idk what kind, the er...normal one?
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
No crossovers, no, though I've written a fic with a strong Captive Prince vibe (and some Easter eggs for CaPri readers) and a fic inspired by wangxian. So, MDZS Easter eggs there too.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Once someone screenshot dirtynumbangelboy and posted it on instagram, in groups of 10 pics. Does that count?
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
A few.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No. Me and @bixgirl1 sort of talked about it back in the day, but I'm so idiosyncratic I'd be a terrible co-writer. I can't imagine doing it with anyone other than Bix, tbh.
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
All time favourite is wangxian. I know it's a fairly recent ship for me, but they've hooked me deep.
15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
I started a post-Hogwarts/kinda Eighth Year drarry fic a few years ago. I still have a vivid impression of the fic's world and the intensity I was going for, but no idea of the plot (typical) and, for a few other reasons, I'll never finish it. It's a shame because I meant it as a gift to a very dear fandom pal.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Mood, atmosphere, my prose and my turns of phrase tend to be what readers comment on. I've written a few fics people thought were funny. I like my dialogue a lot.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Plot usually. I think, the end result perhaps doesn't read as bad as I make it, but plot can stall me for AGES. It doesn't come naturally to me, at all.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Love it.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Pynch from The Raven Cycle.
20. Favourite fic you've written?
Probably 9 ½ Days (drarry)) ; it starts like this (pynch) ; and the unfinished secret desires (wangxian). Oh and the HP but non-drarry Black sisters fairytale The Glass Hearts. really love this last one.

What are your thoughts on Amy Pond? Especially in the beginning of season 5 she reminds me of Rose quite a lot. Yet another very young woman, who almost immediately falls for the doctor/ is attracted to him. And similar to Rose she chooses to ignore the fact that she has a boyfriend/ fiance and decides to travel with the doctor instead. Plus she even tries to seduce him. For me it is a similar level of unhealthy obsession.
Also I’m still kinda mad, that the Doctor, when he first met the older Amy Pond in the first episode of the fifth season, didn’t made a comment like: “Oh another ginger.” or “I knew another redhead once…” Idk I’m not a writer, but including a phrase like this, which acknowledges Donna’s important role in the Doctor’s past, would have been the proper thing to do. (However it is likely that I missed such a comment. I’m currently on a rewatch, that doesn’t include all the episodes. So...) I mean they did it with Rose. Ten mentioned her a couple of times after she was gone.
I guess I’m just not a fan of the way characters, mainly female characters, were written during the time Moffat was showrunner.
You would have thought the Doctor would have made some comment about Amy/Amelia being ginger, but he didn't. Quite pointedly so. No doubt fans of Moffat will say the Doctor was too traumatised to mention his last companion; and I would have to agree to disagree with them. It was like Moffat was trying to paper over the previous DW years with thick wallpaper paste.
A few years ago Moffat said that he regretted having Amy try to kiss the Doctor on the eve of her wedding to Rory; but that didn't help because the damage was done long ago.
I only remember ONE reference to Donna throughout Eleven's series, and that was during the "guilt" scene where Donna's cardboard cutout appeared, after images of Rose and Marthe, caused him even more guilt. I also remember Moffat almost stomping over some iconic scenes featuring Donna; like River landing on top of Eleven when she jumped out a window and landed in the Tardis. He just didn't care about Donna, despite the excuse (conjured up by RTD?) used by Twelve for his choice of face.
Anyway, you asked about Amy Pond and what I initially thought of her. Well, I was excited to see the new companion, just like I've always been with Doctor Who, and was ready to love and adore her. I certainly felt that way about young Amelia. And then the policewoman in a miniskirt appeared as the older Amy, and my heart sank.
The choice of costume, job, and (I know I'll get stick for this opinion, but it was immensely offputting) the 'acting skill' displayed by Amy. In fact, my husband still refers to her as "that girl that can't act". I can take bad sets, and dodgy plotlines, but the inability to act turned me right off and I never bothered to see Amy as anything much beyond that. When they encountered The Hungry Earth in series 5, I desperately wanted Nasreen Chaudry to become the new companion instead. Okay, I cheered when Amy got swallowed by the ground because I found her whiny, uninterested and brattish. If it weren't for Rory, I'd have switched off totally.
Okay, the acting improved a bit in series 6, but my interest in Amy didn't. By that point my interest in Rose had long gone too, so I didn't try to compare the two. But I see what you mean. Definitely.

I NEED AN OUTSIDE OPINION! Me and my friend were talking about highschool a few days ago, it's been a good 5 years since and she brought up this dude I dated. We dates for 2 years, all throughout Jr year and senior year with a break up that lasted about 2 months before we graduated and reconnected.
It was a fine and dandy relationship, we did separate some time after that because he went to one school and I went to another. Life stuff, you grow apart. Yk how it is
BUT. She said that throughout our relationship, his MOM was fucking weird. And yeah I saw it but I didn't see it how she saw it. She said it wad kinda creepy emotional incest and his mom was really really AGGRESSIVE to him and babied his at the time, 26 year old brother who didn't have a job, kept getting into car accidents, dropped out of highscool and had to go to an adult school, then dropped out of college, and was dating a girl who was borderline abusive emotionally and money wise. (The last one yeahhh he needed support but the other things...I think are on the mom bc she babied him too). She would baby his older brother, and be a CUNT to my ex, but then would have fits or like bad anger followed with a silent treatment the next day. What caused these fits? 1. Him doing shit for himself. And 2. ME
His mom never met me, only saw Me like 2 times from the window and decided that she HATED my guts. Granted she is like 60 and Mexican and my style is FAR from what traditional Mexican moms like but, she decided she hated me, never bothered to get to know, didn't bother to support him, and had fits of rage when it came to anything to do with me
Example 1. He got me roses for homecoming and a teddy bear with a sign, she saw. And was passive aggressive to him for the next 2 days. Example 2. He got me some very nice roses for valentines day Jr and senior year. He got silent treatment, passive aggressive behavior and the cold shoulder for 3 days. 3. When I encouraged him to do his own laundry, cut his own steak, and he did. She was not happy. BUT THE STRAW THAT BROKE THE CAMELS BACK, I told him he needs to start picking out his own clothes and she HATED THAT. (He was 16?...he should be doing that on his own? Idk why she got mad) Example 4, anything I gave him, she took away from him while he was at work or school and tossed. Example 5. Anytime he went to my house or out with me, cold shoulder/ ignoring. Or passive aggressive behavior. Example 6, he started making his own money when he got a job and he'd (rightfully) used it to buy whatever he wanted. Sometimes that included taking me out to dinner, or sending me some cash for dumb little bs things, it was never A LOT. But she would stalk his bank transactions and have massive fits followed by cold shoulder for a few days. Anything that had to do with me, she hated. He wanted to go to prom with me and she found out and saw the outfit I helped him pick and yk what her first thought was, "let me body shame my 16-17 year old son who's a bit insecure about himself". Again. Anything that has to with me. She goes absolutely psycho, she saw us hanging out after we graduated and it was summer time, she grouned him for the rest of the summer. And didn't let him out of the house without walking him to get picked up by whoever.
Like she HATED me and anything that had to do with me. And she would get really really AGGRESSIVE to him over weird things. Again, look at the rose example, he got me roses for valentines day and she took that right up the ass (not in a good way)
She has this weird history of like neglecting him in favor of his (at the time) adult brother who was freeloading off them and not contributing to the house. And then having massive tantrums when he obviously started to do things for himself.
Do you think this is emotional incest like my friend said. I thought it was just abusive, and I did help him start doing crap on his own and I helped him out of the house for a bit
His father wasn't really any help, he just kind of enabled his mother and let her do whatever she wanted. Now don't get me wrong I wasn't trying to be a bad influence on my ex, I wasn't abusing him, or using him or possibly putting him in danger but his mom just was very "anti-me" for no apparent reason. Even up until he turn 18 and after she tried to grip her claws into him. What's your opinion?

actually I wonder if Theodoros chan’s gonna get murdered actually. Son of a high-ranking member, asked Su to go to his room last night in front of everyone, was walking around alone with Su and Bardiya and milf mentor. Su would be the prime suspect with only Ran to vouch for her.
He was a young man, though not resembling of the others in our class. He had ear length, light brown hair, a light-bronze complexion, and quite delicate-looking features... Yet they somehow didn't come across as immature. In fact, he was surprisingly good looking, to the point that there was something reminiscent of a statue in his appearance.

I also wonder if that was related to the conversation regarding the Phoenix and the Dragon. maybe transfer of consciousness leads to loss of memory? But that wouldn’t make sense if the tech was perfect, everything would move over, leaving the old body a blank slate…what would that do to a brain, psychologically, seeing one’s former body in a dead state? also what would it do to an empty brain to suddenly be inhabited by foreign electrical synapses harboring thousands of memories preferences likes/dislikes etc. would it fight back/resist?
Im thinking back to those scratches on the wall in the kitchen. Obviously super freaky shit like 10 chapters ago but we had no context to it (we still don’t) so it was like whoops! There’s that. lol.
Couple things:
- did someone bake the missing chef into 🤔 a roast?
- those tally marks may have been the missing chef’s and she was trapped in that room for years (thousands of marks, I think they said. Denoting days, maybe?) and then she died
- But that doesn’t explain the distinct lack of skeleton in the room. Or in the roast
- who would have it out for the chef

Anyways that chef is definitely deads. In the kitchen? Probably not. In their tummies? Noooo (<- secretly hoping yes). Floating in the abandoned plane ocean? Yassss
Lurina is AMAZING at dropping really disturbing nuggets in the middle of a passage then distracting the characters/keeping things going. I just wish I was more engaged with the pacing :(

5. Do you respond to comments?
I try to! For one, I really do appreciate anyone taking the time to let me know they enjoyed my fic, however they choose to express that (keysmashes, emojis, "I liked this", etc all make me smile). For another, I know a lot of people won't comment at all if they see that the comments don't get replies.
Alas, I am human and often forget. Recently I've replied to some comments years after they were left. I should do another replies sprint soon...
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Probably this one:
Trust (Free Guy (2021)) (7,755 words)
It's a non-con/abusive relationship fic and the end has Keys sort of realizing just how fucked up everything is and realizing he can't even really remember his old friends' faces and yeah. Angsty!
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Hmm, I've got quite a few happy endings under my belt despite how difficult they are... Wow this was so hard I had to consult a friend. I have fewer happy endings than originally thought.

Not on them, no, which sort of surprises me considering what I've posted the last year or more. But also I'm blocked by like half of the fandom so I imagine I wouldn't see much of it myself anyway
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I do! One of my goals a few years ago was to get more comfortable writing it and I like to think I've managed that. I've even joined the smut4smut exchange multiple times now!
As for what kind, um... Non-con is where I'm most comfortable, so quite a bit of that. But also surprisingly some totally consensual stuff, too. A lot more m/f these days, which is NOT easy when you are squicked by basically all the words for lady parts but I do my best to work around it. There's a sprinkling of m/m in there as well, though less so recently!
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I do! Not often, although I think of them a lot.
It's not really "crazy", but I think it's a little more out there than my other posted one.

It's a Stranger Things/Until Dawn crossover featuring Steve/Mike/Jessica because I hardcore ship Steve/Jessica and Jessica and Mike are soulmates so I couldn't leave him out.

I'm pretty sure my fics ended up on that one... Idk was it a Russian site? Some site was stealing a bunch of fics and I think I found some of mine there
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not that I can remember!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I started on one with @urisarang but never quite got past the first part. I'd still like to continue that fic someday but it's hard??
And I like to think our Free Guy series of fics set in the same universe should count!
14. What’s your all time favourite ship?
It's really hard to say. All time? I don't think I have one. Maybe a Harry Potter ship or two since that's the only fandom I go back to on a regular basis for reading.
To write? I guess it's Stoncy. Feels hard to say for sure because I'm really bummed out about the fandom and season 4 and it's made it harder for me to enjoy writing them. But I still love them.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
More than I could list here. I have so many, I even found one I forgot existed at all the other day. But for this one, I'll say probably the WIP set after Steve and Nancy were stuck in the Entity's Realm (where they are in Dead by Daylight the game).
They're home and safe but Steve is isolating himself because he and Nancy were sleeping together while trapped and he "knows" it never meant anything except finding comfort in the familiar so he needs to stay away so Nancy can be with Jonathan and her family.
It also features them both having trouble remembering to eat bc eating wasn't necessary while they were trapped in the other universe.
I just reread what I've got last night and love it. But I don't think I'll ever figure out how to continue or finish it :(
16. What are your writing strengths?
Introspection. I am most comfortable writing what's going on in someone's head and like to think I'm good at it.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Dialogue, plot, action, anything that requires thought and/or effort.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I don't have an opinion, I guess? I don't write anything where it's come up before.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?
Hmm, there are a couple that I really like. Favorite right this minute...
Caught between two:
anything (anything) for you (Stranger Things (TV 2016)) (5,373 words)
It's a very self-indulgent stoncy fic where Steve is desperate enough to stay with Nancy that when he proposes that she date them both and she thinks he wants to also date Jonathan, he doesn't correct her. I know I wrote it but man, I love the angst of Steve forcing himself into situations he is super uncomfortable with. Dub-conning himself in a way both Nancy and Jonathan would be very upset about if they knew but for totally different reasons than Steve's convinced himself over.
the devil on my shoulder (The Babysitter (Movies - McG)) (2,740 words)
Years ago, I was determined to write as many words as possible for NaNo. I asked ppl on tumblr to send me prompts to write for them so I would have ideas to work from. This fic came from me taking the chance at tagging my plea with The Babysitter and I'm so glad they sent me the prompt because this might be the fic of mine that I have reread the most maybe aside from the one mentioned above.
It started out as a fic where Bee encourages Cole to break the rules to manipulate him into being on her side, but it turned into something a little different than that. I don't know how to put it into words but I just really love it. (Too bad there is not much of a fandom out there for those movies haha)

James does look really cool, but he's younger than me, and I wouldn't date a guy who's younger than me, idk it just doesn't feel right for some reason...
(Next month, I'll be 25, which is same age as Alan.)
But when I was probably 18 or 19, (so 6 or 7 years ago) I'd probably want to date James.
I like Jules, not dating material, but that he was just relatable af with the toxic positivity and lying to yourself that everything's perfectly fine...
When you know something's wrong.
And you know you already knew what's wrong.
(If that last part's confusing, it just means you already knew things weren't okay, you just didn't want to admit it.)
Which yes, I did that. Not to others, but to myself. I still do, but I'm trying hard not to.
Anyways, Jules isn't date-able, just hella relatable.
And Claude is kinda an asshole giving Alan all those burn scars
(Yeah yeah, I know Alan's impervious to physical pain and all that)
But still, you don't fucking do that shit to your brother, especially your younger brother, okay?!
*crosses arms* I'm just saying.
Also, I just don't like his poker face. Its kinda disturbing.
So with all that out of the way, the only other one I'd probably date is James, only if he was Alan or Jules' age.
Also, Claude's a bit too old for me. (7-8 years older)
My dating age range my age-to 5 yrs older: 24-29, but when I turn 25, it'll be 25-30. I think that's fair.)
So the only brother for me is the forest wolf boi <3]
