Vampires (Homo sanguini nocturii) are a wild predatory species of blood-sucking humanoids. They are generally primitive beings crafted out of pure human paranoia and fear of the "strigoi" in medieval Bulgaria. They look similar in appearance to humans when fed and content but when they are hungry/deprived of food they will enter a sort of feeding frenzy and reveal their more beastly side. The most common term is them being "hangry"-
Although vampires usually seem human, even in resting mode they still display signs of their inhuman nature. The hair of vampires is naturally black or brown although young vampires are commonly born with light blonde hair. They also display pointed animalistic ears and skin of a sickly pale or brownish color, depending on the vampire's race (as vampires passing as every ethnicity have been recorded). When in their hangry state their fangs come out and they reveal their true faces, complete with glowing eyes, distorted bat noses and extended jaws. Their hands elongate into winglike appendages with webbing between clawed fingers. Their hair also ruffles up and their bat-like ears extend in an attempt to make themselves larger and intimidate their prey, in a fashion similar to bears and owls.
Vampires are known to have many supernatural powers such as enhanced strenght, speed and durability. In addition they have claws and fangs strong enough to rip human flesh. There are many misconceptions about vampire weaknesses. Despite the myth, vampires aren't just immune to garlic, they quite enjoy it as humans who consume it are easier to track (as vampires seek blood the way leeches do). Vampires are however weak to sunlight, it does not kill them but they will easily get sunburnt and have high risk of contracting skin cancer after long time exposure. It doesn't help that they are allergic to sunscreen. The only true ways of killing a vampire is directly impaling their heart or exposure to extreme heat, causing their body to combust. Vampires can also be dealt with via decapitation though the disembodied head can remain at least basic sentience for long after it has been separated. A much debated weakness of the vampire is the inability to enter buildings that they are not invited into. Many scholars believe this to be another misconception but no vampire has tried disproving it yet, preferring to stick to the tradition, just to stay on the safer side, wouldn't want to spontaneously burst aflame, would they?
Vampires are not naturally intelligent but are still as cultured and social as any human. Vampires prefer to live in packs or collectives, sometimes taking over whole neighborhoods or villages. Vampires are naturally drawn to things that remind them of times gone by, especially gothic architecture (although not always, as seen with the suburban vampire colony seen in Chapter 1). Comically most vampires dislike goth music, older vampires preferring organ or chamber music whilst many modern vampires are drawn to the new genres of the 40s to 60s. They even naturally fixate on these genres, for example, the vampire Billiam being obsessed with the 50s doo wop style. Swing and cabaret vampires have been found in the wild and have proven to not be ones to mess with.

When you open your 3rd eye, does the view of your eyesight change since there's an additional angle or is the angle view the same but you can see mystical stuff ? (Nerdy Anon)
Yes, the angles change, but some blinking and my brain quickly adapts. And then I can see mystical stuff with all my eyes because my mystic sight sort of overlaps with what I'm seeing with my normal eyes.
Enjoy a cheesy over-dramatic trailer. And slightly more low-key trailers for season 1 and season 2. All subtitled in English. (Warnings for blood and shooting violence and some brief shower sex.)
It's pretty classic tropey plot. Detective's 5 year old daughter was kidnapped several years ago and he can't let go, and still wants to find out what happened to her. Then he starts having visions that help him solve crimes, which feature his daughter. So he has to use those to find out what happened to her.
Season 2, he's found her and laid her to rest, and he's now working with organised crime division, but the visions are getting worse, making him act erratically and react to stuff that isn't there. (While trying to solve murders related to drug smuggling.)
And detective guy is that kind of prickly, hyper-determined guy who with no self-preservation, who can never admit something's wrong or that he's in pain or that he needs help. ("I'm fine" he says while bleeding great amounts over a sink.) But he's also super competent and smart and protective and kind and loving and such a dad™. But also so full of pain.
