THERE WE HAVE IT! Scugified all of the local group by putting them in the same situation as Sliver or Straw more or less!

These are mostly for fun so I haven't sat down to ponder them too hard hehe hoho

Explanation on their designs below the cut:

The Martyr (LTTM) - He's very tough, more cold resistant and capable of surviving one or two lizard bites even due to his sheer size, which makes him very slow. In addition, kind of like Saint, he is completely passive and cannot kill creatures.

The Prodigy (FP) - Very quick and also fully carnivorous! Her fur is very light so she has to use her food pips in order to glow and warm herself up. Can maul like Artificer while having the strength of Monk. You'll mostly be chasing bat flies with her.

The Sage (SRS) - They are completely blind so you navigate the world and map using your hearing and other senses. It looks like you are in pitch darkness in shaded with the iggy effect when it shows you the surrounding area. You can see every creature on the map that's in the room with you or the next one. She can also make pearls using rocks!

The Nomad (NSH) - Always moving from one area to the next, you can’t rest in the same shelter twice, unless you exit the area and come back. She can also camouflage kind of like white lizards do and crouch move while camouflaged.

The Judge (GW) - The Judge doesn’t ascend every creature. He’s relatively fast and has strong spear throws. If you are killed with the Judge, next cycle the creature will be marked for you on the map at all times. If you ignore the mark The Judge loses karma and vice versa gains one karma if you commit to the kill.

The Acolyte (UI) - He’s small and emits light with which he can befriend certain creatures and gain protection from them! He crawls slower than average and can only carry one item ar a time, because of his missing hand, but jumps higher.

So huh, old regions from 1.5 are getting ported to 1.9, and I'm having massive flashbacks of my war against the scavengers in random places, this is so funny, it's like i played artificer before the downpour came out though i was playing the martyr

I don't normally go about praising books, but I just finished the last book in the Covenant of Steel trilogy by Anthony Ryan and oh my god. These books, this story, has been one of the best things I've read in such a long time. The writing is wonderful, as is the world he crafted. The characters are believable (with all ranges of people represented!! Including poc and queer people!!) and it is not smutty at all (there is only two scenes in which there is some sex, but the description is more fade-to-black, which I appreciated immensely). There is a lot of thematic ties to the idea of martyrdom and the power of religion as a source both of corruption and comfort. And the battles, knights, and fighting techniques... *chef's kiss* There's also just enough magic involved that it can be called fantasy, but it's done is a very interesting way.

So 10/10, definitely check them out if you're looking for something to read. I can't say they're for everyone, but I know some people here who would enjoy it.

I tell myself yes because like you, I really need the help. 😂 I'm pale af and due to some meds, I also burn in about 30 seconds. I imagine he may hear a faint little sound (skin contracting, blood shifting to rush to the burn), or smell your skin kinda cookin' a little. I know for a fact though that he'd be able to feel the temperature shift as your skin began to burn and all the blood rushed in; burns are HOT, and we know he's incredibly sensitive to variations in temperature. Hell, maybe he could even sense the vibrations of your cells going AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHFUCCCCCKKKKKKI'MDYINGGGGGGGGGGGGHELPMEEEEEEEE

BUT either way, he'd absolutely sense it! And he'd be the first to become your shady tree (watch this boy get burned cause his pale Irish ass is trying to shield you), herd you inside, or literally hold your little sun umbrella i have one they're great.

How much of their personality is changed when becoming a slugcat? Since they are destroying their selves, are they completely different people with the same memories? And do martyr and prodigy still share the same sibling bond they shared as iterators?

so her thing is every other cycle she is unable to eat enough food to hibernate normaly, forcing her to starve. She has normal starving stats, but when not starving, she has extremely high damage, rivulet levels of lung capacity and can eat plants for twice their normal pips. She’s also lower priority prey for all creatures when starving.
