Robert: I can't believe you made him climb that thing!

David: Me neither!

Robert: I mean in the last three years, I haven't been able to even take him playing football at the park! How did you do it?!

David: You must know he's lying, Liv... I do go out with him and maybe a little too much

Robert: It's never too much!

Olivia: Yeah, I've seen magazines with you pictures. You boys have been bussy!

David: Well, those days are over now...

Olivia: David, you are 24! Live a little!

Robert: Yeah, listen to her, David! Olivia, I really like having you around, please don't ever leave us!

Louise: You had an interesting morning, haven't you?

David: Yeah, I guess so...

Louise: It must be nice to catch up with your old girlfriend, and I right?

David: Not now, Louise... My neck is killing me

Louise: It must be all the climbing you did. Why don't you ask her to give you a neck massage? I'm sure she won't refuse...

David: Excuse me?

Louise: Oh, stop it, David! Why can't you see what's happening here?

David: I'm not sure what's going on, would you mind telling me?

Louise: You really don't know? Of course you don't! How could you ever doubt her intentions. The perfect Olivia... Who would ever dare to question her?!

David: *laughs* I have no idea what you are talking about, but-

Louise: Why do you think she came here, David?

David: Hmmm, I don't know, to see her friend?

Louise: A friend she hasn't seen for months? How can you be so blind?! She here to stop us from getting married! She wants you to break your engagement so she can stand in my place!

David: It's amazing how much you mind can wonder, Louise. Olivia is a friend, and she hates the idea of being in your position right now. She hates this world and she would never try to be part of it...

Louise: Really? You are so blind... Can't you see she's trying to make you remember the past so you can forget about your present with me? Honestly, can't you see what she and Rob are up to?

David: Is that so terrible to you? Me having a friend who makes me remember who I really am? I don't see how that could affect our situation, Louise. This is the first time in years I have a little fun, is that too bad?

Louise: You are having way too much fun with her from what I can see... Once we get married, I don't want her around, David. If you want this marriage to work, she better disappear from our lives

David: I cannot believe how unreasonable you are being right now!

Louise: Oh, I'm being unreasonable?! I am not the one puttin another woman before his fiancée on his priorities' list!

David: When have I ever done that?! Like you said, I haven't seen Olivia for months ever since the Ubrite match. Is it too bad we catch up once in a while?! Ever since you were chosen for this job, it's all been about the wedding, and about your life! I've met your parents, I've rushed our engagement, and I've been making sure you don't feel unconfortable around my family, now you don't want me to see my friends, what else do you want?!

Louise: I want you to stop trating me as your business partner, and start seeing me as your future wife... Is that too much to ask?

David: We both know the kind of relationship you are asking for will take time... If you want to get there eventually, then don't ask me to stop seeing my friends

Louise: A friend you still have feelings for? I've seen the way you look at her, David...

David: Enough! This gave me a headache, I'm gonna lay down...

benny likes to think he knows everyone in hawkins.

maybe not everyone. not every person in town has come into his burger joint. there’s upwards of 13,000 people in town - he can’t realistically know every single person. he does not know every name, every story.

what he can do is recognize nearly everyone’s face, or job, or story. there is some bit of nearly everyone that he recognizes, and it means he can recognize an outlier. the girl in front of him is an outlier.

“sorry, kid,” she can’t be more than ten years younger than him, “i don’t know your order.”

Heroes is the best damn episode of Stargate.

The political intrigue, Hammond as the proud papa who just wants to protect his people, emotional AF, the complete heel faced turn of not only this episode but the characters.

emotional AF, 😭😭 Janet just dies suddenly out of freaking nowhere it's completely unexpected but oh so devastating, Jack almost dies and scares the absolute shit out of Samantha Carter. Everyone dealing with the death of Janet in their own particular way.

the complete heel face turn of not only the episode but the characters. Because let's talk about that. The episode starts off as some rather annoying reporter trying to get a scoop. It starts off relatively light and comedic. Then delves into emotional, political and at the heart of it, what it says about sacrifice and the importance of freedom of the press. 🙆🏻‍♀️ The very best of Stargate episodes deal with ethical quandaries like this.

So interesting seeing how each of SG1 deals with their interviews which ultimately feel utterly in character for every single one of them.

Jack and Teal'c both have no time for this kind of bullshit. Teal'c just decides to sit down because he's ordered to but, boy that doesn't mean he'll actually answer the questions. 😆 Jack just deals with it by avoiding it until Hammond (or maybe Daniel 🤷🏻‍♀️) ultimately change his mind.

Daniel fucks with Bregman something good. "Why are you running?" "I just wanted to see if you would follow me." 🤣🤣🤣 Gotta love Daniel for doing it and then proceeding to mess with Bregman the entire time. Even when he's answering the questions he's being deliberately obtuse.

Sam is the only one open to the interview and she's awkward AF on camera. 😆 I think the assumption is that because Sam is beautiful and smart they think that means she's going to be instantly great on camera. One of my favorite things about Sam is that she's kinda socially awkward. Because Sam is such a super woman already it makes her feel more realistic as a character. And really explains how a version of Sam could be as awkward as Mobius Sam.

Even though I saw this show years after it ended (I'm a relatively new fan). I was still scared that Jack had died even though I knew he was going to be a guest in the later seasons of the show.

Sam getting hugs from Teal'c and Jack. 🥺 Both of these scenes are equally heartfelt. Sam must have been so conflicted about how she felt, sadness over Janet dying and relief over Jack not dying.

I really thought it was the right call for Sam to list the names of the people that Janet saved and how that's who she was and what her legacy is all about.

While I thought it was a great idea to end the episode with Jack finally sitting down to that interview. As a wonderful heel face turn/full circle kind of moment. I was utterly disappointed that we didn't actually get to see his interview. Because the entire episode leads us up to this moment only for us to not actually see it. 🤨 But that's a small nitpick in an otherwise amazing episode.

Olivia: So you never came here with Lottie?

David: Are you kidding me? Lottie would have hated that place! She wasn't a fan of the outdoors

Olivia: Right... Look! There it is!

David: Yeap... There it is...

Olivia: Come on, Leuchtenberg! Let's climb that thing one more time...

David: If you see any snakes just let me know please, not like last time!

Olivia: *laughs* You have to admit that was funny!

Olivia: Alright, time to climb, my friend!

David: Do we really have to do this? I mean, this ladder is pretty old and-

Olivia: Oh my god! Are you scared?

David: Well, I haven't climb that thing since I was fifteen!

Olivia: We came here before you went off to college!

David: I don't think it's safe, that's all...

Olivia: Come on, Davy! We haven't done this in years! Besides, this thing was already old when we discovered it!

David: Alright, fine... Just don't let me fall, alright?

Olivia: I won't...

Olivia: Jesus, I've forgotten how hard this was!

David: Oh, no! This is as easy as riding a bike!

Olivia: Sarcasm is not taking you out of this, Leuchtenberg!

Olivia: See! It wasn't that hard!

David: Yeah, right! My heart is still pounding fast!

Olivia: Honestly, you are so dramatic these days!

David: Look at that...

Olivia: Yeah... Best view in town! You should bring Louise here sometime...

David: I don't see her climbing that ladder

Olivia: She may surprise you...

David: Alright, say it...

Olivia: Say what?

David: You think I'm out of my mind, don't you?

Olivia: Do you really want to know what I think?

David: You know I do...

Olivia: I think you've been through a lot, and- Well, you have forgotten who you are and what really matters

David: I do know what really matters, Liv... I just know I won't have those things... I though I would have it with you, then with Lottie and it never ended well. I'm not made for love, but I have a duty, and this is how I'm gonna make it happen

Olivia: You could still have all those things, Davy... You can still fall in love again

David: Yeah? With who?

Olivia: Many women will kill just to know you... It only takes one with a big heart to melt the ice inside your chest

David: I don't believe anyone could do that... I just can't feel anymore. Sometimes, I don't even know if I still have a beating heart

Olivia: You do! You just need to allow yourself to feel again. It's not easy... Believe me, I know...

David: You do?

Olivia: Do you really think getting over you was easy?

David: Right... That's the thing... Love is just too complicated and when you love too much, you just get hurt. I don't even wanna feel that pain again, Liv

Olivia: I understand... But love can also bring happiness, and a lot of positive emotions...

David: I can't feel those anymore...

Olivia: You will feel it again, Davy...

David: Oh, really?

Olivia: Yeap... And I'll be there to tell you 'I told you so!'

David: I don't think it'll happen, but it's good to know I'll have a friend...
