he continues leaving feather light kisses over your body. now moving over your hips "私の桜 — watashi no sakura". you gasp as you translate it in your head. "your cherry blossoms?" you chirp. caught, his cheeks turn a shade darker. "can i, か甘いい女の子 — ka ama ī on'nanoko" that you knew. he always called you that. sweet girl. his sweet girl. you nod.

So, some more Kanji fun with Yugioh monsters. This time around, we go over Durbe, and Vector’s numbers, as well as Yuya’s Synchro Paladins.

*Durbe’s Number, Number 102: Star Seraph Sentry, is called, No.102 光天使グローリアス・ヘイロー, in Kanji, And, ナンバーズ１０２ホーリー・ライトニンググローリアス・ヘイロー in Katakana. The Kanji 光天使, Hikaritenshi, means Light Angel (Hikari, Light, Tenshi, Angel tenshi meaning Angel, which is also the Japanese name of Fairy-Type in Yugioh), The forced Katakana reading is ホーリー・ライトニンググ, which is Holy Lightning, which is inspired Maha Vailo’s attack in the animé, Holy Lightning, as seen in the Anzu vs. Shuzo Otaki duel. (This is probably why Star Seraphs are items with wings, as a homage to Maha Vailo’s Equip Spell ATK gain effect) The Kanji-Katakana combination is the Japanese name of Star Seraph archetype, though the forced reading is, always, how the archetype is pronounced. Since this archetype’s naming convention requires both Kanji and Katakana to be correct, this will cause issues below. The monster’s actual name is ローリアス・ヘイロー, Glorious Halo. So the monster’s full name is Numbers 102: Holy Lightning(Light Angel) Glorious Halo.

The Chaos variant, Number C102: Archfiend Seraph, is called CNo.102 光堕天使ノーブル・デーモン, in the Kanji, and カオスナンバーズ１０２アンホーリー・ライトニングノーブル・デーモン in the Katakana. The Kanji part 光堕天使, Hikaridatenshi, means Light Fallen Angel (Hikari, Light, Datenshi, Fallen Angel, with da meaning fallen), and the forced reading is アンホーリー・ライトニング, Unholy Lightning. The Kanji for Datenshi is the same as Darklord archetype (lit. Fallen Angel), but since the forced reading exists, the archetype is not part of Darklords. Similarly, the naming convention deviates from Star Seraphs, hence this card is not part of Star Seraph archetype. The monster’s name is ノーブル・デーモン, which means Noble Demon, but デーモン is generally translated as Daemon, since this is the name of the Archfiend archetype. Hence, this monster is part of Archfiend archetype. The full name of the monster is then Chaos Numbers 102: Unholy Lightning(Light Fallen Angel) Noble Demon/Daemon.

*Vector’s Number, Number 104: Masquerade, is called No.104 仮面魔踏士シャイニング in Kanji, and ナンバーズ１０４マスカレード・マジシャンシャイニング in Katakana. The Kanji 仮面魔踏士, Kamenmatoshi is the similar to 仮面魔道士, Kamenmadoshi, which is the Japanese name of Masked Sorcerer. The switching Kanji is 踏, which means to step on, though it can also mean evading payment or appraisal. And the Kanji, 仮面, Kamen, is largely used for Mask series cards, used by Mask of Darkness, and Mask of Light. Since the Kanji 士, shi means either soldier or servant, and 魔, ma, generally means wicked being, the pun is something like Masked Magic Foot Soldier, or perhaps more accurately, Masked Magic Pawn. The forced Katakana is マスカレード・マジシャン, which is Masquerade Magician. The Katakana for Magician is the same as classic Spellcaster monsters (Dark Magician, Magician of Faith etc.), but the Katakana for Masquerade is spelled as Masukareedo, rather than Masukaraido, which is the case in Masquerade the Blazing Dragon. So the latter half sounds like Blade, rather than Raid (likely alluding to the fact that Barian symbol is considered to be a sword in-universe, despite being a trident’s tip). The monster’s own Katakana name is シャイニング, which is Shining, since this card is part of Vector’s currently unprinted Shining archetype, which also connects to many other cards used by other people, most of those used by Yuma in the ZEXAL manga. So the full name of the monster is Numbers 104: Masquerade Magician (Masked Sorcerer) Shining, but it sounds like Numbers 104: Masquelade Magician (Masked Magic Pawn) Shining.

The Chaos variant, Number C104: Umbral Horror Masquerade, is CNo.104 仮面魔踏士アンブラル in Kanji, and カオスナンバーズ１０４マスカレード・マジシャンアンブラル in Katakana. The name is almost entirely the same, but instead of Shining, it uses Umbral, which is the Japanese name for Umbral Horror archetype. The addition of “Horror” in the localization is probably a homage to the fact despite being folklore Fiends, they are designed like B-movie monsters. One thing to note is that the term Umbral might be a homage to Umbria region of Italy, the ancestral homeland of former Latin Umbri peoples. The full name of the monster would be Chaos Numbers 104: Masquerade Magician (Masked Sorcerer) Umbral, but it sounds like Chaos Numbers 104: Masquelade Magician (Masked Magic Pawn) Umbral. ****

Yuya’s first Synchro Paladin, Enlightment Paladin, is called, エンライトメント・パラディン in Katakana, which is the same as Enlightment Paladin, and 覚醒の魔導剣士, Kakusei no Madokenshi in Kanji, which means Awakened Magical Swordsman, or literally Magical Swordsman of Awakening. The term, 覚醒, Kakusei, seems to be generally used as revival or spiritual awakening in Yugioh, as this is also the name of Invigoration, the Duel Monsters-era Equip Spell for EARTH monsters, but it can also mean disillusionment (Since in Buddhism, Siddharta’s enlightment began with disillusionment with the world). 魔導剣士, Madokenshi, means Magical Swordsman, with the Mado, 魔導, sound being the name of the Prophecy archetype in Japan (though Enlightment Paladin is obviously not a member due to the forced Katakana), and Kenshi, 剣士, means Swordsman, but the cognate word seems to be forced as Paladin in Yugioh, as seen in Dark Paladin, and later on Silent Paladin. The term is also the same as Magical Warrior-type in Rush Duels, which is one of the new Fusion-exclusive Types from that metagame. In that metagame, Magical Warriors are combinations of Spellcaster, and Warrior monsters.

Yuya’s second Synchro Paladin, Nirvana High Paladin is called ニルヴァーナ・ハイ・パラディン in Katakana, which is the same as Nirvana High Paladin, and 涅槃の超魔導剣士, Nehan no Chomadokenshi, which means Nirvana Super Magical Swordsman, with 超魔導剣士, Chomadokenshi, being the same as Dark Paladin’s Kanji title, Super Magical Swordsman. The term 超魔導, Chomado, Super Magical, is used for Super Magical series, which are the bulk of Dark Magician Fusions, except Dark Flare Knight, the Timeaus ones, and the most recent one with Gaia the Magical Knight of Dragons. The term Nehan, 涅槃, means Nirvana, and is apparently a double transliteration of the term (The term apparently came from Sanskrit to China, then to Japan), which originally means to be extinguished, since death is considered to be the exthinguishing of self in Buddhism. In other words, it also means Death.

So the full name of Enlightment Paladin is actually Enlightment Paladin (Awakened Magical Swordsman),and the full name of Nirvana High Paladin is Nirvana High Paladin (Nirvana Super Magical Swordsman).

L’adattamento della serie di romanzi fantasy post-apocalittica di Rieko Hinata è in lavorazione presso lo studio SIGNAL.MD (Recovery of an MMO Junkie, Platinum End) e vede una nuova collaborazione fra Junji Nishimura (Ranma ½, ViVid Strike!, True Tears, Vlad Love) e Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell, The Sky Crawlers, Jin-Roh - Uomini e lupi, Lamù - Beautiful Dreamer, Vlad Love, Tenshi no Tamago).

In questo caso, a Nishimura è affidata la regia, mentre Oshii si sta occupando di stendere la sceneggiatura .

Il character design è curato invece da Takuya Saito (Monster Hunter Stories: Ride On, Macross Zero), mentre le musiche sono ad opera di Kenji Kawai (Mob Psycho 100, Seirei no Moribito).

La storia è ambientata nel caotico mondo lasciato dall’Ultima Guerra dell'umanità, avvolto da una sterminata e fitta foresta. A causa di una speciale arma speciale usata nel conflitto, gli esseri umani ora scoppiano spontaneamente in fiamme quando si avvicinano anche solo ad una piccola fonte di fuoco.

L'unico modo per procurarsene in sicurezza è estrarla dagli Spiriti della Fiamma, bestie che risiedono nelle profondità della foresta. Recentemente, fra i Cacciatori di Fuoco si sono diffuse le voci su un fantomatico “Re dei Cacciatori di Fuoco”, un individuo che sarebbe in grado di raccogliere l’energia della Scintilla Errante, l’artificiale cometa millenaria che solca i cieli dai tempi della guerra e che ora sta tornando sulla terra.

Touko è una ragazza cresciuta in un villaggio e Koushi è un ex studente della capitale. L'incontro tra i due, che non avrebbero dovuto incrociarsi, cambierà il destino del mondo.

Il primo romanzo è stato pubblicato in Giappone nel dicembre del 2018, corredato delle illustrazioni ad opera di Akihiro Yamada (The Twelve Kingdoms, RahXephon).

Al momento l’opera conta in tutto quattro volumi, più una side story, uscita il 21 dicembre 2021.

Horrors hide and crawl through the shadows while waging war against gensokyo's forces with fury and unrelenting nightmares plague upon them all. Devouring and tearing them all to shreds as the horrors pressed forward on their nightmarish onslaught however the demon beasts stopped and took noticed of someone standing on stage outside of the building.

That somebody is none other than the dark knight Jaaku enter the scene with a guitar in his hands. He couldn't believe he's doing the very thing he hated and that is appeasing all these horrors but he wanted to test out his power just from using this guitar along with the power of music alone. He took a whole lot of deep breathes until he's ready to show the demon beasts all around him the power of hope.

" ....Let's Go. "

Speakers are on, his eyes glowing a bright shade of purple and his veins exposed all over his body and finally began to give it his all into the makai beasts around him as the boy shreds his guitar while the demon beast of makai took noticed of the song he is now performing. The Knight's shadow is singing the most beloved and popular songs that is amongst all makai beasts, Bright hope. The demon beasts become more excited as they let out growls and screeches as Jaaku now shreds that guitar like no tomorrow all while head banging. Now it's time for him to sing and let out his voice crying into the dawn of the dark eclipse!

" Ikari no kobushi kazashite koboreru namida no imi o dare ka ore ni oshiete! Mienai kage ni obiete yoru o samayō riyū o dare ka ore ni oshiete!!! "

The demon beasts head bang excitedly as Jaaku does the job of using his full power of his singing voice through out the darkness empowering the horrors while placing them in a mesmerize state.

" Iki mo tsukenai hodo hateshinai kodoku o kotae wa marabirinsu! Tsuma dzuita ashimoto yasashī hikari ga megami no yō ni hohoemu..... "

In a split second Jaaku transformed into his darkened knight armor using his gauntlet as he now begins to unleash his power of the knight's shadow erupted into a shockwave of power that taken control of thousands of horrors in his way.

" BRIGHT HOPE ~ ima yami no mukō sagashite ita yurugi naki akashi yo MY SOUL ~ sa~a tokihanatou hiza o kakae utsumuita nichijō

Zettaireido no toki o atsuku tokasu kaze ni nare! "

The entire crowd went ballistic as Jaaku the dark knight shreds on the guitar given by his apprentice much harder unleashing waves of dark energy that sweep the area. As the music made them much more powerful as it is, and far more excited some of the human horrors who just arrive who're just a bunch of teenagers, started recording from their cellphones recording the entire performance and sharing it all over social media all across back into makai. Jaaku once more started in singing still shredding his guitar as he hold his microphone closer to his helmet to let them hear his voice.

" Nemurenu kōri no machi o ueta kokoro no blanhurt motome aruki tsudzukeru!

Sunda hitomi o yumemite hoshi no aima ni ukabete kyō mo aruki tsudzukeru! "

Some of the horrors pull out signs they have made written in the ancient makai language or in Japanese which translates to " I <3 Shin! " , " Destroy the Clitty Save the city from Demon Doll Radio! " Or " OMFG THE BRIGHT HOPE IS BACK BABYY!! " and so much more. Jaaku smiles under the helmet as he saw that which have proved his theory that some horrors aren't all that cruel in fact horrors are truly are just like people as these creatures love the music. Despite this he has to focus, he continues to sing.

" Kōkai to iu na no kienai kizuato mirai wa dekadansu! Sasakureta ryōte ni mabushii kibō ga tenshi no yō ni izanau... "

Jaaku suddenly came into a stop as the now dark knight place his microphone now at the audience, they were confused at first but once his mic is now at the crowd they now know what to do. Both he and audience all together now will sing together which will empower them both, together as one as he shreds his guitar and gave off one powerful singing sentence with his fans one last time!

" BRIGHT HOPE ~ sō kono sekai no dokokani aru yogore naki kizuna yo! MY SOUL ~ mō furimukanai don'na toki mo shinji nuku tsuyosa to! Zettaireido no toki o sono sokudo de kakete yuke!!! "

The crowd goes wild, Jaaku once more headbangs whilst shredding his guitar and so as the rest of the audience who're now headbanging along with their new idol who gave his voice a powerful inspiration for all the horror children and youngsters back in the dark land of makai. Once he's finally just done with the sing he raised the guitar and does the devil horns with his fingers while the crowd cheers for his magnificent and beautiful performance.

Well, it would be too predictable if I once again dedicated the flavor text to bullying the cover girl’s design so instead let’s take notice of Miwele (the group’s usual vocalist) being credited for both vocals and music on the song “Antwort” on this album. What the hell right? I for one had never noticed her before being credited for composition, and she’s rather damn good too! What a girlboss. Kyogou Arimura also composes in this album, notably the song Ignis. For a while there I thought their style was a bit too epic and not ethnic enough but give it some time and they do bring in some really cool ethnic instrumentation. The standout track in this album is definitely La Lyra both on the vocal and instrumental versions. It is an insanely energetic and powerful one, much like La Flesvelka, just really good stuff. Also the lyrics? So deep, just look at this excerpt:

Some additional context from the Rigel website though: Lyla, the cover girl, is a young girl from a tribe whose magic transcends time and space and so they play the role of observers who keep logs of the memories of the stars. However, she’s still very immature and so she gets a bit too attached to some memories she’s supposed to look after impartially. She’s a mischievous kid with a dumb face and basically, she’s pretty cool!
