a character I didn’t used to like but now do: hannibal lmao. he’s the devil, i hate the shit he does, i often want to punch him in the face. but i’ve gone a bit soft regardless. it’s 100% mads’ fault (my second full watch was with my mom and she, like me, had never before given hannibal as a character any real consideration but also unexpectedly found herself charmed)
a character I used to like but now don’t: i’m………not sure i have one
a character I’m indifferent about: matthew brown, abel gideon? miriam and franklyn, though i feel bad to admit it. molly to a degree, but through no fault of hers—she was put into an unfair situation/position from the start, narratively speaking. i respect her but i just never developed much of an attachment beyond that
a character who deserved better: uhhhhhhhhhh all of them. literally everyone except mason and the serial killers. sounds like a weird new band that’s actually just a group of the worst people you could ever meet
a ship I’ve never been able to get into: any time i see will/abigail and hannibal/abigail turned romantic or sexual in nature i shut down. also will/molly, but bryan never really gave them a fair chance. reba/francis, kind of, i guess. i adore her tho

my favourite storyline/moment: beverly existing! love it!!!; will unknowingly saying “i have a date with the chesapeake ripper” to his face; WILL & PETER ALWAYS; this ridiculously endearing shit; all the tender hand touching. ugh; THIS because of hannibal not even needing to look to know will had come up behind him, he’s just entirely, acutely aware of his presence. also because them working together is a Thing (perhaps most especially when they’re going against serial killers? 🤔😂😅); will sat at hannibal’s desk looking soft and unbearably precious in his grey sweater; MARGOT & ALANA KILLING MASON; bella slapping & jack beating the shit out of hannibal; winston following will when he sleepwalks ☹️; “love. he pays you a visit or he doesn’t”; “i wasn’t decided when i called him. a storyline that never should have been written: will and margot sleeping together (regardless of whether it expedites conception, the sex scene itself was unnecessary. and her willful deception of him to achieve it was… really not great. like to this day i still believe he would have helped her of his own volition if she straight up asked). also, later, the forced hysterectomy mason subjected her to. ughhhhh.KILLING BEVERLY, especially since the way they facilitated this was to have her go and do something stupid when she already had the evidence against hannibal RIGHT THERE!!! my first thoughts on the show: i’ve had so many thoughts about this murder show that i genuinely can’t remember what my first ones were? oh actually i do remember i was kind of surprised hannibal didn’t show up until the pilot was like half over

Stydia positivity buddy again!! OMG I TOTALLY saw your headcanons about Stiles lakig CONSTANTLY about Lydia and Scott at college and they made my day. Because they were so true and so heartwarming and funny and I just OH MY GOD I LOVED THEM. Stiles would TOTALLY be like that. Mcmartinski for the WIN, man. And HOW COULD I FORGET ABOUT 5x16??? That might be my fave episode ever. Like obviously I love 3x11 and 6x10 but Stiles is just SO SOFT with her. When he brushes the glass off her face (1/?)
And helps her sit up and the LOOK ON HIS FACE WHEN SHE OPENS HER EYES AGAIN, MY GOD. I can't deal with it. I've written that scene into, like, seven of my fics, no joke. (That might be a slight exaggeration. It's in at least 2, I think.) But I agree, oh my god I get so emotional when I hear Where's my Love. Same with To The Wonder and Find My Way Back (basically all the songs from 5x14 to 5x16.) I have a playlist of all the Stydia songs that I write to and those are 3 of my faves! (2/?)
And the lacrosse scene in 2x11!! Agh, the beginning of it all. I think that's the moment that something really shifted for Lydia, that she noticed Stiles as someone other than her bff's boyfriend's dorky friend. Like, not romantically or anything, but just that she had this... sort of respect for him. That she realized she cared about him as a person more than she had anticipated she would. Ughhhhh I LOVE that epsiode. Idk if I can pick single fave Stydia episode, but that one's up there. (3/3)

And, yes, that’s exactly my interpretation of 2x11! The way I see it, she only notices him then. Yes, they talked a few times, but so far he’s been pretty irrelevant for her. He’s just there. But in that scene, the way she looks at him cheers him, smiles at him (and let’s not forget that he only shoot to score was because Lydia screamed for him to do it) and the slow-mo of people congratulating him, he only has eyes for her. And she only has eyes for him. PLUS SHE SITS NEXT TO MELISSA AND SHERIFF, I MEAN, FAMILY GOALS.

What is your favorite arc on Sense8 season 2?
this season actually made me care about Will and Riley (specifically Will tbh) so as far as a Most Improved it deff goes to them. Besides that everything about Sun’s arc made me HIGHLY emotional so she get’s the number one spot for me.
Here’s some other onions that you didn’t ask for but I wanna talk about anyway so SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS!
I would DIE for Lito and while I absolutely LOVED so many of the scenes from his arc (in particular the ones involving Dani) I felt this season didn’t really do as much with him as I wanted. To be fair, coming out stories are...trite, and it’s a real challenge to make that fell fresh and exciting especially in a situation where there are SO MANY exciting things going on so there’s that.
Capheus is another BIG improvement from last season. Not just because of the re-casting (which...Toby Onmuwere...wow a Man™) but also the story just...I really enjoyed seeing more of his relationship with his mother and him being a little more emotionally complex than ‘I am optimistic about every situation’. That scene in the first episode where he and Lito were giving interviews...when I tell you I started crying at that point and basically didnt stop for 11 whole ass episodes???
Nomi and Amanita’s arc was perfect as usual. Literally flawless. That WEDDING SCENE FUCK ME UP!!!! AND THEN THAT PROPOSAL!! UGHHHHH.
I love Kala. I love Wolfgang. Rajan dosn’t deserve what he has coming to him (i think...I’m not sure yet what mess he’s in but I suspect he’s done nothing wrong. He just seems like a good man, and in particular a man who is capable of seeing his failings and rectifying them i.e. Kala confronting him about the expired meds and his immediately taking action to fix it and coming to her, not with excuses but trying to help her understand why he failed that way and apologizing...like..i love him????) (that said Kala and Wolfgang belong together that’s plain as day and I hope Kala idk..borrows some courage from Capheus and gets her man.)
Speaking of Wolfgang, Lito and Wolfgang remains probably my favorite unlikely friendship in the whole cluster. Like all the individual relationships they have are beautiful but like...Lito and his dramatic ass getting into some mess and Wolfgang just showing up ready to whoop any and all ass is just amazing.
I wish we got more one on one time with Sun and Capheus cause that was my other fave friendship. I just love that kind of dynamic where one is just...like sunshine and happiness and the other is kinda dark and tortured but has a soft heart...(Sun’s heart is soft as a baby bird I’m....there are tears)
Also...just Sun Bak...I may have mentioned this before but I’m a sucker for revenge stories. Like...I love basically any story about someone exacting bloody revenge against someone who has wronged them. Sun busting out of prison and whoopin all that ass to get to her brother...and then not killing him. I love that even more. When the vengeance was just seeing the look on their face at the end. Like the real vengeance was the friends they made along the way...it’s enough to know that they could have done it and didn’t. Idk that..just get’s me..there’s just something about that (admittedly tired and a little overdone) trope that just get’s me every fucking time (I think its probably because there are so many people who I’d like to seek out vengeance upon and I never really could and there’s some kinda fucked up part of my psyche that’s satisfied by seeing these kinds of stories but I digress)
ANyway....I...love Sense8 and I just finished earlier today so I havent totally gotten all my thoughts about the season together yet but I could probably go on forever so imma just shut up anyone who read this whole thing you’re a fucking weirdo... who reads?
