attempting to cook: boothill with s/o who's just completely unfazed by his antics and is simultaneously stone-faced and blunt but also deeply in love with him. he'll enter their home after a rough fight (by blowing a hole through the wall on accident) covered in soot, hair sticking out at all angles, actively hissing out steam with a cat or raccoon or something clinging to him for dear life while his s/o sits at the coffee table completely undisturbed. they just look at him blank-faced for a few seconds before softly saying "the moment i met you i felt complete for the first time in my life" and he short-circuits on the spot.

I love this sm bc everything in this ask is literally screaming Boothill. He definitely blows a goddamn hole in the wall because he's just too exhausted to find the front door. His system is overloaded to the point that his fans can't keep up, and that raccoon clinging to his hair is about to lose it too.

But all that disappears when he hears your words, so genuine that his body ACTUALLY gives up. It's too much - the way your voice sounds like it's an angel speaking to him from heaven, soft and delicate as if you were afraid to break him.

"The moment I met you I felt complete for the first time in my life."

Bzzt.

Those were the last words the cyborg registered before blacking out.

And you do break him, technically, but once he's awake yet again, with his hair resembling the smell of strawberries and tucked in bed, Boothill feels like he might short-circuit again before even saying a word to you.

He'll probably never admit how much your words mean to him, but his body says it all instead.

Jenna You know, we had a fan question from Bill S in Merrimack, New Hampshire, and many others who wrote in to say, Pam and Jim are married and have a child at home. They presumably give each other gifts at home on Christmas Day like families do. So why do they give one another their most special presents at the office? This has never made sense to me.

Angela It's a valid question. And if I am sort of living in the world of the show, Jim and Pam met at Dunder Mifflin, the first gift exchange they ever had that really meant something to the two of them for their relationship happened there. I could see it being sort of a very sweet couple tradition that they sneak away somewhere in the office and they give each other a gift because of that very first Christmas.

Jenna Angela, that is exactly what John and I decided on set during this episode.

Angela Yay!

Jenna We asked the same question. We said, Why would they give each other their big Christmas gift at work?

Angela Yeah.

Jenna It's a little odd. And we talked about it as a group, and that is exactly what we said. And the other thing we said was that it's supposed to be a homemade gift. So each year, in the tradition of the teapot and all of that, that they're going to exchange a little homemade item at the office. Remember, there was that whole deleted runner that one Christmas episode where Pam and Jim are making gifts for one another...

Angela From things that they found in the office?

Jenna Yes. So this is the tradition.

Angela That makes total sense. And then they might save other gifts for home. But at Dunder Mifflin, they give each other something they made.
