I ship it!

What made you ship it? Sumita is genuinely friendly to Tina. Tina's core group of friends can oftentimes be assholes which, while realistic, makes me sad for Tina. I had a little crush on my own "Susmita" in school and I think that the two girls could have a sweet relationship, even if only for a short while.

What are your favorite things about the ship? Susmita is kind but she's also willing to stand up to Tina, which canonically is a thing that Tina appreciates. Plus, Tina helps Susmita overcome her insecurities; they play off of each other well and they have things in common such as Boyz4Now and photography.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? I honestly don't think so? Sustina isn't popular enough to have unpopular opinions. T_T Perhaps that I ship Sustina as Tina's healthiest possible ship based solely on current canon?

Hiiii! I wanted to ask what are some of your more out there headcanons? Like maybe this has no basis in canon (or just a liiittle bit of a basis) but you still believe it wholeheartedly?

I recently developed a number of headcanons that I really love about a character who has never spoken on the show (except possibly as part of a group chanting). I guess that is pretty out there! So I'm using this as an excuse to share my Hogarth Haber headcanons that I came up with while writing my Henry/Susmita fic:

-Although they are four years apart, Hogarth and Henry are really close, even closer than Tina and Louise. They both consider the other one to be their best friend. They love watching sci-fi shows and movies together (including all the Star Trek shows and, of course, Firefly), playing with action figures, and playing all types of games. Hogarth is the only person (until Susmita) to read all 17 installments of Henry's graphic novel.

-When Henry starts dating Susmita, it's tough for Hogarth. On the one hand, he is annoyed that Henry has someone else he wants to spend time with. On the other, he thinks Susmita is really cool and develops a bit of a crush on her himself. This leads to Hogarth acting up- he bothers Henry and Susmita when they want to be alone together, but acts moody and withdrawn when they actually try to include him. Eventually, he reaches a place where he accepts Susmita and sees her as kind of a big sister; often talking to her about personal relationships and emotional issues, which she is more insightful on than his actual family.

-Hogarth believes that Henry is the more intelligent of the two of them, but that he is more socially adept. This is accurate, but the difference isn't as big as Hogarth likes to believe.

-Chloe Barbash does the same flirting to get quiz answers thing with Hogarth that she does with Rudy. It just depends who is sitting closer to her in a particular class. Hogarth is more skeptical of Chloe than Rudy is, but he still tends to give her the answers because he likes the attention from her.

-However, the girl in his class that Hogarth really has a bit of a crush on is Harley. He really admires her outgoing, talkative nature and how she tries to be friends with everyone in the class. (I totally ship Harley/Hogarth now. The ship name is Hargarth.)

There's like a million lovable side characters in bobs burgers so it was impossible to pick a favorite but the first to come to mind when I was trying to decide who to draw for this day was Dillon (I hadn't drawn her before but as a certified former emo I've always loved her design) and then I just kept drawing with a vague theme of girls that I wish were a more regular part of Tinas friend group (she deserves friends who get her 😭) so Becky Krespe and Susmita are here too!

How I'm getting a job soon (hopefully!!) I wanted to draw this thank you piece for everyone, without the Bob Burgers fandom and all the new friends I met along the way. I don't believe I would have been this successful in my art (like ever!)

So now I'm going to take a small break from drawing. (Until I get used to my work schedule) And hopefully come back to drawing and commission for you all!!

Again without this awesome community of people and fans. I wouldn't be this happy with my art and probably gave up a long time ago. Thank you all for loving my fanart for the past 2 years and watching me get better through those years.

I will hopefully get back to drawing in May. I do want to work on this cute mother day drawing for Linda, but till then.

What are your thoughts on Beckina (not surprised that I would ask about that) ....and Sasha/Tina?? because I've never heard of that ship before and I sort of want to learn more😊😭

I think that Susmita and Tina would work well as a couple if they could overcome Susmita’s timidity and Tina’s tendency to get clingy and weird with her crushes. Susmita is much more academically-inclined than Tina but they do have things in common: Boyz 4 Now, photography, and so on. As well, we see in both of Susmita’s main episodes (“UFO No You Didn’t” and “FOMO You Didn’t) that Susmita is a kind person who helps others, something that Tina obviously needs. Tina, on the other hand, canonically helps to inspire Susmita to be braver. Together they could bring out the best in each other: Susmita helps Tina stay focused while Tina helps Susmita stay brave. They obviously enjoy each other’s company as well.

Sasha/Tina, on the other hand, is a mess waiting to happen, lol. Sasha is catty and can be a real tool. Tina likes “bad” boys but only really in fantasy. When presented with actually bad boys–Jonas, Jordan–Tina inevitably loses interest because she doesn’t actually like breaking the rules. She’s willing to help out her family and friends, but Sasha strikes me as the type to troll for the lolz, while Tina has gotten even less inclined to rebel as the years go by. Plus, Sasha canonically uses insults as witty banter, whereas Tina only uses insults as just that–insults. I think that they’d have an interesting dynamic and you can always write AUs of anything, but canonically I can only see them as frenemy exes who miraculously still talk but only to snark (Sasha) and sardonically insult his dumb yacht club friends (Tina with Gene and Louise’s help).

For you, pom, how about a Hemita treat?

When I was working on "According to Habermetrics", I ended up coming with some headcanons about Henry and his brother Hogarth and that they basically are really close despite then four year age gap. Closer than Louise and Tina. They consider the other to be their best friend.

So, when Henry starts dating Susmita it creates some awkwardness with Hogarth. He's both annoyed to have to share Henry with someone else...but he also kind of thinks Susmita is really cool and develops a bit of a crush on her. And this all leads to some awkwardness (which eventually works out and Hogarth kind of starts seeing Susmita as a big sister figure.)

If I end up writing another Hemita story, I think that idea might be what I base it on.

tina needs a best friend, especially because the friends in her group really aren't great most of the time. and ever since her introduction in season nine's UFO No You Didn't, susmita seems like the PERFECT person to fulfill that role! i love their friendship and feel like susmita should be a far more prominent character than she is. gene and louise have established best friends, AND TINA DOESNT PLEASE

i won't waste much time explaining why, i'll just drop two clips from season four's Fort Night. darryl and louise's dynamic in that episode is fucking golden and i wish they brought it back even just once

THIS TRIO IS SO FUCKING GOOD OKAY and the reason i love them so much is season six's Stand By Gene, the episode the screenshot is from. a year ago i compiled their scenes in that ep and posted the video right here, if you want to see why exactly im this crazy about them. (it's only a minute long and i'm mad about it) they're fucking hilarious and simply wonderful i hope they hang out like this again

not to mention that jimmy jr and jocelyn were the original ‼️ friends ‼️ before tammy came along! they were hanging out a whole season before that bitch's introduction. i like to think that even after both tammy and zeke moved to seymour's bay and became best friends with jocelyn and jimmy jr respectively, jocelyn and jimmy jr still hang out often. maybe even have some girly sleepovers together. definitely watching romcoms or hallmark movies during the holidays. and they DEFINITELY gossip and talk shit together (about tammy a lot too). she's like the sister he never had!!
