so haunting. the descriptions of the sleep illness, and in particular the fears surrounding the donation pool, were so vivid. every time the main character invoked her sister, and ultimately her change in relation to that story, was so fascinating. i could really feel her uncertainty about her place in the 'pandemic' through the whole thing, super well done.

with the news of sleep token signing with rca (its huge, super proud of the guys- really hoping rca doesn’t fuck them over)

i just want to say: free palestine. rca supports israel which is hella unfortunate. but i also want to say don’t conflate the label’s morals with the band. there are plenty of bands signed by rca that support palestine- bring me the horizon is a very notable example!

i also doubt we’ll get any statement from the band so do with that what you will. they haven’t spoken on anything like this before, i doubt they’ll start now.

i was getting better a couple days ago, but now the cough is back and with a vengeance

im sorry to do this again, but if anyone could help me with a 100$ to pay ANOTHER appointment and meds :(((

i used last times money on the last appointment i had a couple days ago + blood work i was asked to bring due to my diabetes getting complicated

here are the reciepts (they are from the 29-30 of september)

for transparency sake too, my last doctors note

i was told to suspend the shots i was getting because they were throwing my blood glucose through the roof, the doctor told me i should be fine with the inhaler and syrup but im back at the horrible cough that doesnt let me breath

if anyone could help me ill appreciate it a lot :((( im so tired of being sick, and im not sure i can drink more cough syrup as ive been on it for two weeks now

Thinking about a lot of things but mainly of how Terry Pratchett writes tiredness.

(Which means I’m mainly thinking of Sam Vimes. Which is normal.)

But he gets it so right.

The feeling behind your eyeballs. Stealing time from your future self with coffee, and, when the coffee doesn’t work anymore, going on sheer bloody mindedness because you cannot stop, you can’t. Not being sure when you last had real sleep. The strange state of mind you land in where you should absolutely not be tested because everything’s on a hair trigger, and things feel like they’re moving through treacle and your ability to make decisions feels shot to hell so you can only hope that you’re making the right choices.

Not Terry Pratchett’s words, if course, but I can’t get to my bookshelf at the moment, and, if I could, I’m not sure that I can read anymore.

I’m tired, is what I’m getting at.

And Terry Pratchett writes the whole spectrum of being human so brilliantly, but, damn, how he nails down being tired.
