Morro's Sentinel

Dragon origins pt. 2

Ok so I had another big brain moment and I've decided to change Morro's dragon. Sentinels, along with their obvious death associations, are also shown to use wind to deflect attacks, both with powerful wing flaps and roars. As much as I love stormcutters this is just way too perfect.

Morro didn't meet his dragon until after he ran away. During his travels he ran into a curious Sentinel. He didn't think much of it, but the dragon stuck with him and eventually Morro offered it some of his (stolen) dinner, and the two formed a symbiotic relationship. Morro would help the dragon get food, and the Sentinel would keep its new buddy from dying. After a particularly eventful day, Morro got to witness the Sentinel's roar and decided to name him Cyclone. Eventually Morro's quest lead him to the caves of despair, where his dragon was just a little too late saving him.

Cyclone was confused and thought his buddy had just gone into a deep sleep like sentinels do, and so Cyclone did the same. That's the way they stayed for a long time, until Cyclone was disturbed by the ninja. Confused and wanting to protect his friend, Cyclone attacked the ninja. He tried to grab Morro and flee, but escapee with only a mouthful of fabric and bones. He set off to track down Morro, and managed to reunite with him, but couldn't save him from his watery fate. Cyclone followed the man who had attempted to save his buddy, and has stuck with Wu and the ninja since, but he spends most of his time sitting still atop the monastery, protecting and guarding.

Come day of the departed Cylone wakes up and starts moving for the first time in weeks, sensing Morro's presence even before he was in sight. Morro planned to do what he did in the show, but his plan was foiled by ambush dragon cuddles. In this au Morro goes through the rift and is resurrected, likely yeeted through by Cyclone (or flown through but thats less funny). What happens after that I have yet to decide but rest assured there will be shenanigans.

Cyclone dosent look too different from other sentinels but there are some unique features. His extemeties tail and snout are made of darker rocks, and he's alot mossier than most. My idea of how Morro died (at least in this au) is suffocation from poisonous gasses, since the caves of despair are part of a volcano. Cyclone wasn't poisoned because something something plot convince.

Pandit and his team left gifts: bolts of cloth, candy, and plastic buckets ,other then them few other Anthropologist like Madhumala Chattopadhyay also make contact with the Sentinelese.
