Sarah Dessen Merch
In 2017 Penguin Teen created totes for the summer launch of Once and For All.
Pastel pink with the famous “Don’t think or judge. Just Listen.” line from, well, Just Listen, these double-sided bags were distributed at Book Con, YALL Fest, and bookstores.
Some gave them away for free, others with the purchase of any Sarah Dessen book, others per copy of Once and For All, etc.
Penguin Teen even hosted online giveaways of the Sarah Dessen quote tote along with similar ones in different colors with lines from other Penguin Teen authors and their books.
According to the sweepstakes the bags are valued at $15, but they were never sold online for mass distribution as far as I could find.
What I did find was an eBay listing with a less than $9 price tag and $3.99 shipping (taxes to be added at checkout).
^^ That is the full tote. The sides have just been folded.

A few weeks after I posted this, Sarah shared an IG story where she used the tote bag.

It's the nostalgia talking, but real question to all my ladies who were reading Sarah Dessen in the 2000s: which leading lady did you relate to most, and which boy was your favorite?
I related most to Auden and my favorite guy was Eli. I feel like that's not a particularly coincidental combination.

RECO OF THE WEEK!
Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen
Synopsis:
“Sydney has always felt invisible. She's grown accustomed to her brother, Peyton, being the focus of the family’s attention and, lately, concern. Peyton is handsome and charismatic, but seems bent on self-destruction. Now, after a drunk-driving accident that crippled a boy, Peyton’s serving some serious jail time, and Sydney is on her own, questioning her place in the family and the world.
Then she meets the Chatham family. Drawn into their warm, chaotic circle, Sydney experiences unquestioning acceptance for the first time. There’s effervescent Layla, who constantly falls for the wrong guy, Rosie, who’s had her own fall from grace, and Mrs. Chatham, who even though ailing is the heart of the family. But it’s with older brother Mac—quiet, watchful, and protective—that Sydney finally feels seen, really seen, at last.
Saint Anything is Sarah Dessen’s deepest and most psychologically probing novel yet, telling an engrossing story of a girl discovering friendship, love, and herself.”

Ranking Sarah Dessen's Books
I’m going to say upfront that I haven’t read all of Sarah Dessen’s books at this time – I’ve read just over half of her published work so far. In any case, I thought it would be fun to rank those that I have read since I know it’ll be a while before I read all of them (and that’s if I decide to read them all).

This book fell short for me with what I was expecting from…

Manas pārdomas
Cik vien Sidnija sevi atceras, par trim gadiem vecākais brālis vienmēr bijis uzmanības centrā, ko tikai vēl vairāk pastiprina viņam piemītošais harizmātiskums un spēja būt uzmanības centrā teju jebkurā kompānijā. Līdz šim spējis to izmantot savā labā, lai izkļūtu no sākotnēji mazām, gadiem ejot jau lielākām ķezām, bet…
