Steamy Saturday
An obviously gay but crafty detective, Francis Morely; suggestive banter between Morely and his straight, ex-football player sidekick, Tiger Olsen; a camera behind a two-way mirror in a notorious bathhouse run by the sinister Joe Cannelli; blackmail and murder of privileged high society members; and the blond, sultry "nymphomaniac on the make," Vivien Holden -- this pulp novel, The Gay Detective, published in 1961 by Saber Books in Fresno, California, is all kinds of steamy!
The suggestive cover art bears the caption, “Francis and Tiger found out what they needed to know. The Trick now was to get the nude Vivien out of the bathhouse and to safety.” The excerpt on the flyleaf has Francis "mincing a bit towards his new car . . . 'Oh, I can see that you're going to be a big help to me. . . . So, there you great hulk. Now get moving.' Glancing around to be sure they were unobserved, Tiger put a hand on his hip and flipped his other wrist. 'And whoops to you, too,' he said with his boyish grin." And the quote on the back cover makes a reverse implication of St. Paul's statement, "there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.”
Quite tame by today's standards, The Gay Detective, considered the first published gay American murder mystery novel, was written by Lou Rand, a pseudonym for Lou Hogan (born Louis Randall, 1910-1976), a professional chef, columnist for Gourmet magazine, and author of The Gay Cookbook (1965). Saber Books was one of several imprints owned by Fresno author and publisher Sanford Aday, a notorious purveyor of steamy pulp fiction, who was eventually tried and convicted of distributing obscene material.

I thought the point of Din struggling with the DarkSaber was eventually earning it and conquering it, not "see he's struggling with it, just pass it to someone else who can." Because wow, that's boring and lazy.
I know that he doesn't want it, but passing it to Bo-Katan felt like less of his decision, and more along the lines of "Well I can't use it and I also don't want it, I should just give it up to Bo."
We should be rooting for Bo because "she can do it" not, we will root for Bo because "the other guy can't do it" Most of my issues here, is they make him incompetent just to justify her having it.
Just imagine for a second, that Din finally mastered the DarkSaber, which will make him worthy of leading (atleast at the standards of Mandalorians), but still gave it up because he doesn't want it. See, how much more impactful it is when he shows that He "can" do it but still "doesn't" want it. It felt like more of an active choice on his part, than being pushed because he lacks the skill. It felt more in character, it feels more Din.
"But he doesn't want it, so why should he mastered it " Because he's a Mandalorian. Weapons are part of their religions, and for him being a believer and not practicing or atleast honing it feels like uncharacteristic of him.
"Why did you assume that he will learn how to use it?" Because we literally pulled 2 episodes of TBoBF just to setup his struggles, so I assumed that he will have mastery with it. If they're just showing it to prove that he's unworthy, then what is character progression right?
I know that the season is not yet over, and maybe this will turn out to be a part of his journey that will eventually lead to his eventual acceptance of the responsibility of leadership (I'll even apologize to them if this is what will unfold) , or maybe this is really the end goal, which is the DarkSaber at the hands of Bo. It makes me wonder, what's the point of detouring it. Because if Bo defeated Moff at the end of Season 2, she will still have the DarkSaber, and no Din at the equation.
"maybe they did it for the drama?" Bruh, there's literally no drama here. They didn't even struggle with it, it's barely an inconvenience to them.
Don't get me wrong. I don't have an issue with her having it. My problem here is how they did it in a way that screwed over his character. Just simple change it to "he can do it" but doesn't wanna do it, because that gives his character justice and his choices more impactful.

Dragons hibernate (which... weren't they hibernating in the first book when the boys were sent out to get their hunting dragons? it was snowing then too. Has it officially been a year since the events of book 1 now? At least the beginning?) by digging themselves a hole, but Toothless didn't dig his deep enough. So Hiccup, fearing he would sleep for centuries for being too cold, decided to carry Toothless with him in his tunic to keep him warm.
And that's not even the best part because he made Toothless a little fur coat to help keep him warm with!
And then, when made fun of for wearing a coat, Toothless defends his little coat!

Finished the lineart for King's design. Definitely gonna colour him in, cause I love this pose and everything. Some notes: The clothing is made of silk or wool, cause it traps heat the best, and he barely produces any cause crocodiles are cold-blooded. His feet changed to resemble that of a crocodile over some time, and he can wear shoes, but only ones specifically designed to match his condition. He puts the shoes on only if he is going out to do something in the wilderness, or if he is going out in the cities. His feet changed way before he grew a tail. Due to that crocs grow very quickly at first, and then slower later, his tail grew to the length of a meter (39 inches or 3.2 feet) in just a few days, and then the growth slowed drastically. The teeth would look more like a feline's cause why not, not as big or as sharp. They fall out every once in a while and regrow pretty quickly.
