Your concentration has been wired on this very paragraph for the past half hour, your brain trying to register every word but your eyes just keep drifting back to the beginning.
It frustrates you to the core; your coffee glass is empty, your glasses feel like they've left an indentation on the bridge of your nose, there's a distinct pinch of pain that's nene growing im temples for the past hour – right about now would be the perfect time for-
"Knock, knock."
Daniel's soft voice echoes through the door that stands ajar, and slowly the door to your study swings open for a head of unruly curls to pop in.
"Hey there pretty," his smile just makes your whole systems feel ten pounds lighter. "Mind if I steal your attention for a bit ?"
Your lips curl up as you nod eagerly, twisting your roller chair around to face him. "Please do baby."
Despite being with you for almost 3 years, the delicate way you always speak to him will forever kiss a pink tint to the tips of his ears. Walking over, Daniel pulls you up for a moment, only for him to steal your seat and offer his lap as your new one. You take it without hesitation, discarding your specs to nuzzle your head comfortably into his warm neck.
"I'm so proud of you, you know that right ?" his voice is deep and gentle as he speaks, his head resting on yours with his arms wrapped securely around your curled up body.
"I mean, in just a few months I'll be the fiancé of a woman with a honors in engineering. Do you know how amazingly smart and talented you love ?" your head tilts back so you could gaze up into his big honey browns, the emotion you find there so full of love and admiration.
"You're perfect."
You grin, absolutely adoring the compliments. "Please, keep 'em coming honey."
"And you're remarkable."
You hum, smile growing as he his face gets closer and closer with every sentence.
"And you're beautiful, and kind, and hardworking..."
Daniel's lips take yours in passion and sweetness, your hand coming up to run your thumb along his stubbled jawline. He pecks soft kisses around your face, each followed by yet another compliment because honestly, he could write a whole book about how much of an amazing person you are.
"And I love you with every inch of my being, my heart is forever yours, in this life and the next." with another peck to your lips, he pulls away to smile down at you.
"Daniel Ricciardo, did you just recite your vows to me ?" your gaze narrows playfully, hand creeping up into his curls.
He chuckles heartily. "Sweetheart, if you think that was poetry, you ain't seen nothing yet."
You laugh because in his arms, before quickly pulling him down for some more of his special, comforting kisses.

i didn’t know it (at fifteen)
hs! wilbur soot x gn! reader
tw!: talks of eating and food (this story is not ED coded, i promise. pls eat and drink water and take ur meds and take care of urself and ur body). high school au. fluff?. cocky wilbur. implied mute! reader. so incredibly unoriginal.
word count: 663 words
a/n: this has been sitting in drafts literally since i made this account. if this is liked, i’ll turn it into a lil series. i have ideas for more of this story if y’all like it! if not tho, i’ll literally throw it out the window never to be seen again.
there is a boy in the cafeteria who silently hands you a bright red apple everyday at lunch.
he wears wired framed glasses and a knit sweater, his tall frame walks with a slight hunch in his back, he never makes eye contact with you and you’ve never heard his voice.
he always walks past you afterwards - making his way over to a table crowded with people and taking a seat while placing his white lunch tray in front of him. you watch him as he smiles and talks with each person around that table whilst eating his poorly made and far too expensive school cafeteria lunch.
you aren’t sure why he does this. you’ve never spoken to him before and you don’t share any classes. you don’t know his name and you don’t think he knows yours. and yet, everyday without fail, a bright red apple is placed on the corner of the empty table in the back of the cafeteria where you sit.
sometimes you eat it, sometimes you take a few bites, sometimes you don’t even look at it and throw it out the second the lunch bell rings.
sometimes you study the piece of fruit, most times you study him.
you watch him talk and laugh and smile. you almost envy him - his kindness and seemingly bubbly, outgoing, happy-go-lucky nature.
today is no different.
a hand clutching an apple comes into view as you’re staring down at the table. you don’t look up. you wait the usual 7 seconds it takes for him to reach his table before raising your head.
and once you do, you’re met with wire framed glasses and a knit sweater. you’re not sure how you didn’t notice him take a seat infront of you. he’s looking down at his white tray of food - lasagna with slightly burnt edges, green beans straight from a can, and mashed potatoes that mostly likely were once a powder. he’s silently eating, eyes fixed to his food. you look back down at the apple on the corner of the table. you stare at it, wide-eyed, nervously playing with the sleeves of your sweater.
you’re not sure how much time has passed. “are you gonna eat that?” you look up quickly, startled by the sudden voice. he’s looking at you, one eyebrow raised and a finger pointing down at the untouched fruit. “you really should. you never have a lunch with you. but if you aren’t gonna eat it, i will” he states. you only stare.
he smiles at you kindly, still pointing at the apple as he waits for you to respond.
you shake your head.
“suit yourself” he says, shrugging his shoulders as he reaches over to grab the apple and takes a big bite out of the side.
“i’m wil, by the way” he’s speaking with his mouth full, making his words sound muffled.
you stare for a moment, blinking, before reaching into the backpack behind you and pulling out your notebook. you skip through pages of notes and doodles to find an empty page.
‘y/n’ you write, flipping the notebook so he can read it. he leans forward. “y/n?” he repeats. you nod.
“okay y/n” he says, taking another bite of fruit before speaking again, “why don’t you ever have a lunch?”
you shrug your shoulders, but he remains silent as if waiting for the real answer.
you pull the notebook back towards you - ‘i never have time to pack one’ you write, flipping it towards him again.
he hums in understanding.
“i guess i’ll just have to keep bringing you apples” he states, a cocky smirk adorned on his face.
‘you don’t have to’ you write quickly, making your handwriting appear sloppy and rushed.
“i know” he replies, before the lunch bell blares loudly through the cafeteria and students begin rushing to their next classes.
“see you tomorrow” he smiles, standing up and walking away with his lunch tray in hand.

here she is. officially. my beloved fallout 4 oc delilah !!!! first piece done by @zetobii and the second by @leavingautumn13
i dont draw so all art of delilah comes from my dear friends who draw her for me/with their ocs and tell me i can post it OR from commissions. what i can do, however, is write <3 and make playlists and pinterest boards for visuals <3 so prepare urself <3

ok so: her appearance, personality, stats, story, and some fun facts are here under the cut (its a lot fyi ok i just love her so much) pls enjoy
delilah lore (delilore?) be upon ye:
appearance:
24 years old, 5’10”
very fair skinned with bright green eyes and jet black hair
her hair is wavy and flows down to the middle of her back. she has one small braid behind her right ear
covered in freckles, from her nose to her knees. she has a tiny scar above her mouth from a past split lip and a slit in her opposite eyebrow from a past black eye
midriff is heavily discolored from past bruises - the pigmentation never fully went away - and marred with keloid scars from deep cuts from things she refuses to talk about. if her dress has a high enough slit, bruises can peek out near the very tops of her legs
large black kingsnake tattoo wrapping up a her left arm with its head near her shoulder and its tail near/on her hand
she can almost always be found in her wine-colored silk dress that reaches only about mid-thigh, nails manicured and lips painted to match. it has spaghetti straps and is loosely bodycon.
she wears stacks of gold rings (as many as possible, really) and dangly gold snake earrings
the only things she keeps on her person are the dagger and the gun strapped to her thighs under her dress. her gun was a gift from KL-E-0. it is a custom gold-plated, silenced 10mm. lilah named it "Mine"
stats:
if fo4 had a karma slider, lilah would land pretty firmly on evil. on a dnd alignment chart, think chaotic neutral or neutral evil

she's not strong nor has much endurance, but when you're as smart, perceptive, and charismatic as she is, you can charm people into carrying your stuff for you anyway.
her perks are party girl (alcohol/chem resistance), black widow (damage/persuasion against men), night person (higher int at night), and intimidation (pacify, instruct, and force opponents to attack). and deacon's cloak and dagger, of course.
personality:
cold, calculated, distant
cares about very, very few people (and even fewer things) but is fiercely loyal to those people. she's a railroad agent, but only because deacon cares about the cause and she begrudgingly cares about deacon
she and deacon clash. he refused to even vouch for her admission to the railroad. she gets along much better with glory, but she still gets assigned to run jobs with deacon because they keep each other in check and are deadly efficient as a pair (theyre also in love but they keep it a secret from everyone including each other)
she cares about very very few people but it fiercely loyal to those people. she is a railroad agent, but only because deacon cares about the cause and she "begrudgingly" cares about deacon (she cares literally so much do not let her fool u)
her moral compass is not magnetic. right and wrong is whatever she wants it to be. she takes no issue killing people if they wrong her. sexual harassment or subterfuge/targeted deception send marks to the top of her hit list.
her story:
her birth name is allie eden
she is not a sole survivor; she was born into the capital wasteland chapter of the brotherhood of steel. despite sentinel lyons' best efforts, delilah responded far better to scribe training than to combat training
she and arthur maxson were the only two kids in the citadel, and they became fast friends, even after the lyons pride crumbled and maxson was appointed elder.
he appointed her his sentinel, second in command, which she embraced until she saw how terribly the wasteland was faring under his leadership.
she promptly absconded and, because she had been so sheltered until that day, quickly lost herself to chems and alcohol.
months passed in, thanks to all the blackouts, what felt like hours. one night, allie woke up in a warm bed that she did not fall asleep in. a man named dante deangelo had pulled her body from a D.C. gutter and made sure she was safe.
in no time, they fell in love and decided to escape to the commonwealth. they found a small, basement apartment in goodneighbor and allie began tending bar at the third rail.
dante, slowly but surely, became more abusive. he left bruises and deep cuts on her body anywhere her third rail uniform would cover. she stayed, though, because she'd been raised by the brotherhood to believe that love was harsh and painful. to obey without question. to submit to authority.
eventually, she tired of that life and snapped, killing dante before he could leave any more marks on her. something... shifted. maybe it was allie eden who entered their apartment that morning, but it was delilah who left it that night.
KL-E-0, who was quite fond of allie and is far fonder of delilah, fitted her with pistol, Mine.
instead of hiding behind the bar like she had when she was with dante, she began to use it to her advantage. every dusty drifter with full pockets full of caps left her bar empty handed. but it wasnt enough.
she began targeting triggermen, who she knew were peddling chems for... someone in goodneighbor. the moment a man started flirting with her (which she hated), it was like a red dot sight appeared on their foreheads. she'd seduce them, take them back to her apartment, get her caps and chems and information, and the men would never be seen again.
morowski, goodneighbor kingpin, eventually approached her at work about his shrinking pool of chem peddlers. they struck a deal: he would slip her into his operation as his newest arm candy, and she would peddle his chems at her bar.
it worked flawlessly until morowski actually fell in love with her. go figure. unless, of course, that was lilah's plan all along...
while she's still participating in this farce with morowski, she meets drummer boy, who she ends up truly enjoying the company of even despite her general distaste for men. eventually, he convinces her to join the railroad with him
because morowski is in love with delilah, she has no issue squeezing information out of him when deacon asks her to: morowski is an institute informant. lilah quickly, uh, deals with that problem, and the next days, morowski is found dead in his office at the rexford. cause of death: self inflicted gunshot wound. what a tragedy.
because delilah was his "other half," his unofficial widow, she inherited morowski's whole chem operation
now, she happily spends her days directing the triggermen and tending her bar - for fun and for information, at this point, because she certainly doesnt need the caps. when she needs to run for the railroad or her beloved friends need her professional black widow skills, whitechapel charlie is "happy" to cover for her. as happy as he can manage, anyway.
fun facts:
she is terrified of storms, heights, and violent outbursts from people she trusts
her name comes from the bible story of sampson and delilah, where delilah is paid by the government to seduce sampson (a man of god) and tempt him to sin by telling her what gives him his inhuman strength. after three attempts, she is successful. sampson tells her that god gives him his strength through his hair. she then cuts his hair, which ultimately leads to his death. i mean what a bad bitch
she is still deeply unhappy even after she wraps goodneighbor around her finger because she still doesnt know who she is
she's skeptical of maxson's move to the commonwealth. she is very much on the run from him (and the bortherhood as a whole), and ham happily vets drifters for her to ensure theyre not undercover brotherhood before letting them into the bar.
she and maccready arent exactly "friends" but they harbor mutual respect for each other since they spend so much time together. mac had to call her off like a guard dog when winlock and barnes paid him a visit, so shes confident he would do the same if the brotherhood ever came knocking.

author’s note — kaze this is such s silly idea i love it. and i’m doing okay, i hope you’re doing great as well. i’m ngl, i actually don’t know much about switch since i haven’t read much of their stories so hopefully this isn’t too ooc. (i have no idea how the hell natsume’s dialogue works so i just did whatever LMAO)
Natsume had known you since forever. You were there when he was at his lowest, right after the Five Eccentrics were crushed. You were there when he formed Switch and watched all his hardwork and efforts. You’re basically Switch’s #1 fanatic at this point. It’s not all that surprising to say that the magician had fallen in love with you.
However, there is a problem. A huge problem.
"[name], you came aGAIN." Natsume stated, a smile that was barely noticeable plastered on his face. His gaze slowly trailed down to your bag that was decorated with pins, acrylic keychains and even some small nuis.
You supported Switch as a whole. But, he wasn’t your oshi. Secretly, he was heartbroken. Instead, it was his fellow unitmate, Sora. Your bag was decorated with multiple pins and keychains of Sora. You always showed up with the same themed bag, and it would make him feel things that he really shouldn’t feel.
"Of course I did! When have I ever missed a Switch event?" You exclaimed, handing him a bag decorated with adorable little cats as its prints. "For you. I usually don’t bring gifts, but I did this time."
Natsume was flabbergasted. Raising an eyebrow, he asked, "Do you want someTHING from mE, [name]?" He tried to avoid looking at your bag as his eye subtly twitched. "This is omiNOUS, I must sAY."
You simply laughed, waving your hands as a sign of reassurance that you didn’t want anything in return.
"Don't tell the other two, but you’re actually the only one I bought a gift for. So shush, alright? I didn’t even get Sora anything." You confessed, giggling as you witnessed Natsume's face turn as bright as his hair. "Wahaha, you’re blushing, Natsume!"
The idol quickly turned away, huffing. "Am nOT! Don't spread such liES." Suddenly, the frustrations and thinking all disappeared and was replaced with a giddy feeling in his heart. "…No matTER. Thank you, [name]. I li— now gO. TiME is up."
Your shoulders slumped. "Aw… already? I wanted to talk to you more." Huffing playfully, you quickly showed him the mini-sized Natsume nui that you recently bought along with a Tsumugi one. Without even letting him get a chance to speak, you had already left the room.

good evening, america. i,, have come with not a fictional story but something very much real! (also, i love your reviews sm. i actually am writing the first 'episode' of the compilation stories! but not patience and grace yet. i like to finish something for the most part even if i'll release it in parts, so it'll be a while,,, i can tag you in it in the future hehe ^^)
do you get that feeling when you feel really smart when you get something? i don't know about you, but i seriously love it- like i figured out equations for shit like voltage, current, and resistance in my robotics exam (that i didn't study for and didn't take the first time). even with a calculator, it was noon and i was exhausted beyond belief, like- ?????? HOW the fuck did i do that.
feeling smart is everything to me, even tho i'm a silly little dude who likes to partake in silly little activities. this is why i like making my lore make sense by working on every nook and cranny, it makes me feel intelligent /j as if di ako bobo (affectionate) LMFAOOOO
another thing btw, nag-choir kami ng gregorian chant para sa music, at tangina napasigaw lahat ng mga boys nung natapos HAHAHAHA 😭😭 ako din naman. like sumakit paa ako amputa, napa-omsim sa inisip na 'deserve ko kumain'. imagine dalawang PT exam tas nag dalawang written kasi nag-absent buong week last week. then i had like six or five exams the day before 💪💪

honestly idk if this is the seedling of wwx haterism taking root in me but i genuinely hate how he treats wn (also, all roads lead to chengxian)
after mxy resurrection he just seems to brush wn off a lot while wn is out here doing the most. idk i know wwx refuses to confront anything because delusion is his solution to everything. and wn is a painful reminder of his yiling demonic cultivation days, just like jc is a painful reminder of wwx gutting himself to pay a debt that never was w/ his life's work. i understand why wwx would act that way (he tends to block everything out and pretend like its fine while his behavior shows that it is not fine bc lying only gets u so far) but it is truly one of his most insufferable traits. he wants an enabler that allows him to live without confronting himself or other people (lwj) but legit will he even be satisfied w that. is that even something thats sustainable in the long run.
mdzs canon is really weird to me because
1) wwx doesnt seem to want to deal with the world he lives in? wn is reduced to a weapon/thing once again bc lwj keeps taking precedent over him like the lwj drunk jealousy scenes piss me off so much, wn is literally being robbed of his agency and consciousness but that keeps being pushed back because uwu romance
2) hes not going to be satisfied that way. its just not in his nature to settle. ur telling me wwx is going to be happy in cloud recesses? while lwj may be a hypocrite and break his own sect's rules or even leave gusu lan to be a wandering cultivator w wwx, i genuinely dont see how that cld happen without wwx feeling guilty and bottling it up and ofc turning it to resentment
3) why didnt jc and wwx reconcile. legit why. wwx is saying lets just let it go but like. dude it is physically impossible for yall to be strangers. he let himself be gutted to save u and then u gutted urself to save him thats not a stranger thing. So Bunny doesn't have that flavourful spice to it, pretty unseasoned and I gotta admit that too, hard to keep going when im not strongly comforted by Leveret

how are u so good at writing . reveal ur secrets pls . but seriously, what advice would u give ??
HAGDFKJSHDF this is so kind :( to be rly honest, i personally don't have the best relationship with my own writing (as a lot of writers in all realness) so i cant say im rly confident in any advice 😭 but idk hopefully these might help u improve at least—which is always the main goal anyway
i have some advice on writing fics here
and i have advice on writing smut here if u write nsfw
and some more below the cut:
over all i would say that reading all types of media can really help you find a voice in writing—poetry can help you make better metaphors and have a more "deep" / "meaningful" writing voice, reading novels can help you develop an ability to tell stories and build a detailed world, etc. but yeah u can read fanfic, articles, journals, poems, books, wtv u read rly can help u pick up not just ways to develop writing voices, but also you can just learn about the world u know ?? i been reading a few articles about the royal family in the news and its taught a lot about how the inner works of royalty is set up—things that u don't rly take the time to care to know, but in my head as i was reading it i was like omg if i ever wrote a royal au this would be so useful 💀 so yeah, very basic tip, but reading is always number one advice. and again, dont limit urself to one type of writing !! writing is so vast, u can pick up something from any genre of it
also have a certain position / place / set up when u write. i know it sounds kind of dumb at first like okay whats the difference between if i write at my desk vs at my couch but its big !! for me at least. i find that if i try to write anywhere else besides by desk im just more easily distracted and then it cuts my train of thought and my sentences come out choppy and then my flow is ruined. theres actually a big difference in my writing based on location. and having a playlist helps !! whether its of songs with lyrics that inspire you (such as sad songs for angst, romantic ones for something more intimate, etc.) or just plain classical music. classical music has been a game changer for me. (don't ask me for recs i couldn't name a single song or artist if u held a gun to my head LMAONSDFG i just search random spotify playlists)
as far as writing goes, i think its important to start writing when u have a vague ending in mind—you don't always have to have the middle parts figured out, but having an ending can help guide u as u write and pick up momentum and figure out more things to say what the middle part will be to get u to that ending. i almost never write anything without an ending in mind. sometimes its one line and sometimes its an idea / concept of an event that will happen. but yeah an ending can rly help u figure out how to structure a fic !!
figuring out if ur stronger in dialogue vs the commentary portion of writing (for lack of better words LMAO but yall know what i mean—i hope) can also help u !! i think im a bit more dialogue suited as a writer, so a lot of the things i wanna convey, like a character's feelings and thoughts, are shown thru dialogue more often. if u focus more on what ur good at, the other things will kind of come on their own so u can continue—like when i say something thru dialogue that needs some context, the next paragraph might be some background on the character that explains it. which is just basic writing i know skjdhfjgdf but sometimes i just write out like a full convo of dialogue nonstop and go back and actually add the "meat" in between to it afterward. and that's bc the dialogue comes easy to me u know ?? and the commentary / story building in between doesn't, so focusing on one forces me to have to incorporate the other and by then i've somewhat figured out what to write by then. << this method can also rly help u improve ur dialogue too tho if u struggle on that bc seeing a convo just non stop without any background info in between to break it can give u an idea of how it sounds and what the dynamic between two characters is.
also to help with dialogue u can have a convo with yourself out loud 😭 i know that sounds dumb and weird BUT TRUST ME IT RLY HELPS KSHDGDF SOBSOB sometimes u just gotta talk to urself to have a convo flow !! and that way u can also really hear the words and know if they're a bit cheesy or cringe (we have all wrote a cringey dialogue here and there, no shame in it LMAO) but yeah 😭 talking to urself helps
i always suggest breaking things up into scenes that build into a plot. if ur having issues connecting parts of a story, just break it up into scenes. like my shin fic, if u read it (u don't have to for the example dw) but it was like literally like this in my drafts: shin and reader in shop, shin gets upset. shin and reader at home, slight confrontation / sex. shin + waka convo. shin hospital. KJASHGEHF (this sounds so dumb out of context LMAO) but yeah if u do that and then individually write those scenes out, its rly not much different than like maybe writing a drabble, which is far more manageable. and then u can connect them, and boom u have a full length fic !! but yeah that's something that helps me since im still developing my skills to write longer works
also rly discussing characters with friends, reading up on their information, and staying open to discussions that analyze characters is rly important !! we all have our own takes of a character so its okay if they're not always aligning with urs, but sometimes they can help u rly figure out a character and what u feel is their back story and the focal point of who they are—and the more u understand a character, the more describing them and portraying them will be easier. and trust me when u rly feel like u understand a character, the words don't stop, either when ur giving them dialogue or when ur just giving extra back story / commentary.
so yeah that was a bit rambly skhsd im rly sorry about that but i hope that helps a bit !! tysm for the kind ask and it rly did mean a lot to me <3 good luck on ur writing !!
