hey i love your in depth analysis’s you’re super smart and comte deserves everything and that’s on period but i’ve always wondered what is actually comte’s net worth? like how much money does he really have and like how?! i know he’s a noble but for real something’s up lol💀 also if you were to guess how rich would he be in the 21st century in mc’s time? sorry ik that’s a lot of questions but i just need to know lmao
Ah, thank you friend! 💕💕💕
As to answering your curiosity, I must admit I don’t know anything for certain when it comes to Comte’s sizable fortune. That being said, I can offer what I understand to be the source of his conceivably endless wealth.
Mild Comte rt spoilers below the cut
There are two factors that I think contribute a great deal to his material prosperity. The first being his pureblood status. Remember that to be a pureblood means that you must have been raised by two vampires who were also purebloods. As such, we can understand that le Comte receives potentially centuries’ worth of an inheritance from the moment he is born (and we get no indication of siblings with whom he must share). Where this money comes from I can’t say for certain, but there is reasonable evidence to assume that his parents probably amassed their wealth over a very long period of time. Though he speaks of it in passing, Comte mentions that he only recently took up his family legacy. As such, we can understand that he had been avoiding his noble lineage/title and amassed endowment for almost four hundred years, give or take. Knowing this it can be reasonable to assume that some of the money grew as a product of time’s passing, and probably profitable management of the family’s relics/more expensive resources. I know little about financial management, but I have no doubt his starting point was probably staggering in accordance with this context.
The second are his lifelong journeys around the world. I very much doubt he wouldn’t amass a sizable fortune of his own and collection of priceless artifacts over four hundred years of life. Even without his inheritance, he probably had plenty of money that he just didn’t have much use for. (Remember, purebloods are fairly sturdy; they have no great need to eat human food on a regular basis or need much by way of medical care. The most he probably spent was on alcohol or maybe gambling in his wilder days lmfao. Okay but now I need a fic of him scamming casinos and wealthier nobles for shits and giggles just because he enjoys watching bastards balk/squirm...). Expanding on that, I don’t think Comte engaged in any kind of financial pursuit that meant exploiting the weak and vulnerable. I say that only because the game has shown us a man that is highly principled; if he deems it against his personal values (which tend to be decidedly egalitarian) he will never do it. He is a very easygoing man, but that’s not to be mistaken for careless or without an obstinate bone in his body. Make no mistake, if he disagrees with somebody or disapproves of a course of action, indications of his displeasure will be clear.
To those that would offer unscrupulous designs, the only way I could really see that happening is if it was a much younger, perhaps more naive Comte. And even so, I don’t think he would keep whatever benefits he wrought in such an exchange; I imagine he would be much more interested in restoring the dignity of the offended parties. In his own route he says outright that he operates on the principle of Noblesse Oblige (”nobility obligates”), and we see him act on it time and time again. For those who have never heard of the phrase, it is a French expression meant to convey the sense that with any kind of excessive privilege comes a dual responsibility to look after those without the same resources. It was a concept very much hammered home by the women writers of the late 1800s--such as Elizabeth Gaskell--who were less than pleased to see flagrant displays of wealth while people where languishing in poverty. They often took it a step further, saying that intervention shouldn’t be something that poor people should be expected to beg for to deserve. Rather, the wealthy were obligated to pay attention and make an effort, no matter how thankless. Given what I understand about Comte, I think he is very much in agreement with that sentiment. He won’t give what he can’t offer, but anything he has in excess--or even in good measure--he will give without any trepidation or ill feeling.
For those that might argue foul play in regards to preserving his reputation, I can’t really see him engaging in industries that are exploitative even if it meant upholding social contacts. We have seen him often speak to the questionable nature of other nobles and their actions, and he does not excuse them or seem to agree with them at all. He may offer pleasantries and pretenses, but I don’t think he truly befriends or chooses to work with people like that. At best, he tolerates their existence and offers them placating smiles/letters. His title means absolute shit to him if it means he has to watch a person (especially one that he can help) suffer in absolute silence. I’ve said it before, but it’s literally the only reason Leonardo tolerates his noble status. Leonardo has been unequivocal about his sheer disdain for the ruling class, and while Comte does not expound to the same degree--I’d wager his feelings are similar. The difference, I think, is that Comte tends to believe in both the vile and redeeming qualities people can offer. He sees people entirely for their potential; he only removes people from his life when they prove to have no ability to improve/change or care about others. Leonardo, perhaps, is devoid of this longstanding patience by comparison. (He is in many ways a radical; believes hierarchies are entirely vile constructs intended to deprive people of basic necessities and intimacy, and must fundamentally be abolished). If people seem shallow or interested in things he does not deem important, he zones right out/ignores them and considers helping them a waste of time, a hopeless endeavor. Comte seems to be more capable of sympathizing with other people’s perspectives, and even enjoys supporting them if given the chance. He may dislike hierarchies, but he’s a realist by comparison--he sees that hierarchies are how the world manages to operate with some coherence, and he weaves his way through and around these systems to improve the living conditions of people who need it. The exchange here is that Comte is comparatively brittle when compared to Leonardo; the second he sees someone (especially an innocent) getting hurt or excessive displays of force, he gets so furious/terrified that he begins to lose control.
As to Comte’s modern financial status, I’m really not sure if I’d be able to predict that. But given that most of the people in the world who began with sizable fortunes have been able to preserve and expand them exponentially, I could see him landing comfortable in the millions at least. (I offer that because to be in the billions usually means wholescale theft, and I doubt he’d get to that point with his careful, historic accumulation of money). I’d wager he would donate whatever he didn’t need if he wasn’t still taking care of the men, but otherwise he’d probably use his resources to spoil his boyos and loved ones.

Chan’s Ideal Type - Natal Chart Reading
Happy Birthday Chan~ 🎉 Thank you for inventing kpop 💛posted early cuz i managed to get it done in time for when it’s actually his bday in korea!
For ideal types, I’m not going to be doing specific placements of their ideal partner. Instead, I’m gonna be listing personality traits I think would mesh well with them, as well as focus on their needs and the kind of person who could meet them. what this reading cannot account for is the compromising the members would do on their end for their s/o. so just keep in mind this is only half of the whole picture!
someone very smart.
he’s a very communicative person.
he wants to discuss and have an exchange of knowledge and passion thanks to that aqua sun and mercury.
with a sag influence there is a desire to surround himself with knowledge, and i think he’d be very attracted to someone who could be considered a professional/expert in their field.
he’d not only really respect it, but it’d feel exciting to know and communicate with someone who is so deeply involved in a career/lifestyle different from his.
he’d love to pick their brain, and it would generally make him feel like his life is being enriched.
sag also adds a desire for travel as it expands ones perspective.
so derived from that, he may want to be with someone who is both not in the entertainment biz as well as someone potentially from a different country/culture.
chan is a really interesting mix being of very knowledgable and curious (aqua/sag), passionate and active (sag), dedicated and stubborn (aqua/scorpio), mixed with this very thoughtful and emotional influence (pisces/scorpio).
he has a very well-rounded chart (potentially tunnel visioned) but he’s a very sincere guy.
he’s present on almost all fronts, and isn’t very afraid of emotions or emotional intensity.
so he wants someone with a great deal of intelligence, as well as  emotional intelligence.
he’s also very honest, and with this brings a very low tolerance for people who may be overly concerned with appearances.
this is due to his aquarius influence valuing individuality over conformity, as well as his scorpio mars that gives him a very keen eye for shallowness.
it’s not that he wouldn’t like someone who looked/dressed a certain way, but if he felt as though there was something blocking him from gaining his s/o’s full attention, or something preventing them from leveling with him -- that’d really frustrate him.
so with this kind of “truth-seeking” attitude about life, he’s going to want someone very upfront, honest, and unapologetic in how they carried themselves/acted with him.
not even in a sense of them being rebellious or super eccentric, he just wants someone who doesn’t feel the need to put up any fronts around him or has a perception of what they should be together vs. to others.
if he feels like there is a wall, he’s not going to have a lot of patience in trying to accommodate that in his daily life.
this is also emphasized by his pisces influence, but not necessarily in a discerning “ur being fake” sense.
he is incredibly intuitive in relationships because of his pisces venus, and this makes him conscious of other people’s energies.
so he’s very hyperaware if he feels like there is this wall, as it’d feel like there is this connection error to him. he’s very quick to notice if their energies are being withheld/directed elsewhere.
layers, on the other hand, are very different from walls.
his scorpio mars loves people with depth, both emotionally and intellectually.
his s/o should be very complex & have a bunch of different sides to them as he loves feeling like he’s delving deeper and seeing parts of his s/o only he can see.
his s/o should be very open to deep and philosophical conversations.
they should also be different enough from him that there is a feeling of discovery as they get to know each other, as well as a decent amount of friction/push back as this is very rewarding to a scorpio/aqua influence.
but with this sense of difference/friction.
it’s interesting because with a well-rounded chart like his, he’s obviously able to get along with people similar to him, while also having this ability to communicate and empathize with people much different from him as well.
and so, personally, i think there are a bunch of factors in dino’s chart that point towards him being attracted to those very different.
one of them being, with his rising in aries, this puts his descendent in libra.
i’ve been talking a lot about descendants but i haven’t really gotten too much into what they mean.
so your rising sign is very highly linked not only to your identity, but to your perspective and to your approach on life/people.
it’s the energy you excert.
with aries in his rising this makes him a very straightforward, ambitious, energetic, and excitable person.
his approach to life is very hands-on.
and so if you think about your rising as a kind of magnetic pole, on the exact opposite side of it is an energy that is intrinsically attracted to your rising sign in order to balance it out.
so on the opposite side of his rising you have this very diplomatic, intellectual, and easygoing presence through libra.
this is the descendent, which is also the cusp for the 7th house which is the house of love, marriage, and partnership.
so having libra in his descendent/7th house signifies an incorporation of external energies to the self through partnership.
to me, there are a bunch of different interpretations/applications of it in a reading, but i generally tend to read it as compromise.
i see it as what this individual most likely needs to take into account when sharing their life with someone else.
for chan, this manifests as him learning to be more diplomatic and thoughtful than he initially feels inclined to be.
it’d be about thinking “other” when he’s more focused on thinking “me.”
so what this means for an ideal type can kind of go in a bunch of different ways, but i think the most simplest reading would be that he’d more than likely be drawn/destined to be with someone who is going to force him to think.
he’s going to want to be with someone who forces him to stop before acting, and to take into account the general group as opposed to his own agenda.
teaching him to think more broadly than simply what he can immediately affect.
and this more or less loops in his pisces venus.
his pisces venus is a very gentle, loving influence to have in relationships.
he’s an ultra empath, generally really impressionable and easily swayed as he’s super inclined to try and understand others.
this is an influence that can kind of throw his truth-seeking scorpio through a loop, as his pisces can be easily swayed by romance and emotion.
this danger is especially relevant considering the idealist/optimist that his sag moon is that makes him maybe not the most discerning of negative intent if someone is charismatic enough.
so this is an influence that both needs to be reeled in as well as embraced.
his s/o should be as equally emotionally open and very privy to non-verbal communication through affection and that emotional intelligence.
he wants a relationship where they’re able to understand what the other needs without putting it in so many words.
they should also able to understand when each other needs space.
but with that, he’d also really benefit being with someone who is grounded/realistic enough in their perspective to ensure that he doesn’t get lost in this super compassionate/sensitive part of him without him needing to shut it off entirely.
i also think this stabilizing influence in a s/o other is really important for him with this pisces venus as he may have a tendency to get lost in thoughts/emotions.
he is such an individualistic person thanks to this aqua/sag/scorpio, but his pisces may come in and create a sense of disillusion where he can lose his grasp on what that means for him especially in relationships.
so someone who really and genuinely loves him for him, who isn’t going to incorporate a sense of self-doubt/consciousness in how emotional he is, while also truly encouraging him to go out there and do his thing.
they should allow him to be all the things that come easily to him, may it be passion or emotion, while teaching him balance and stability.
his s/o other should reinforce his sense of self, not dilute it.
and now that i’m writing this i want to make a point in perspective.
in relationships, no one should ever feel “diluted” or that they need to compromise on what being themselves means.
but for dino, since his perspective is so individualistic, there are certain circumstances that he may view as restrictive that to others will not.
lets say for a cancer influence, these people really like security, company, and are pretty comfortable with the idea of being someone else’s person as this gives them a sense of belonging/purpose. these “restrictions” add to their sense of self
for an aquarius influence, this may seem a bit off-putting as they want the space/freedom to continue to pursue being their authentic self in whatever way that may mean to them. for this influence, these definitely feel more like restrictions.
i think it’s also really interesting doing this reading because i really get the sense he wants to look to his s/o other for strength, guidance, and knowledge.
and for that reason i can see him wanting to be with someone older.
as much as he wants to offer these energies to someone else, he may find it much more exciting to discover rather than impart.
i also think this is shown in his rising/descendent.
with his rising being in aries, the first sign of the astrological cycle, this gives him a very young perspective.
then you go to his descendent in libra, and there is a sense of maturing in relationships that i think is very indicative of that “older” influence.
“older” in quotations mainly because i don’t think it indicates a large age gap but rather more so just a dynamic.
but overall, chan is just a super kind guy.
he wants a relationship filled with compassion and intellectual understanding.
communication is an absolute pillar and his s/o should agree on that.
there’s a desire in him for stability, and this could be implemented through push-back, discussion, and contrast.
and i think if i had to narrow it down to one specific thing he desires in a relationship, that’d be variety.
he wants to learn and grow in relationships, and for his world to be ultimately broadened.

((Okay, riddle me this people))
If the whole idea is that Ralph has to learn not to depend on just Vanellope as a friend, considering the context and what actually happens in the story, wouldn’t it have made more sense to have the message delivered through an adventure that didn’t have a massive ripple effect on other people?
That they actually make it seem as if Ralph has ACTIVELY been helicoptering Vanellope to the point of smoothering her and ignoring everyone else?
Think about this for a moment; the big dealio here is that Ralph has to ‘learn’ to let Vanellope grow up as well as we’re supposed to see that somehow HE is the selfish one for depending on her as his friend.
He has Felix.
He has Calhoun.
He has the entire arcade to worship him and the other bad guys after his actions from the last movie.
Here’s the problem with having a story like this given what happens in the arcade; Ralph (and Vanellope) has/have to learn this lesson all the while other people are going through their own crisis with Sugar Rush yet we’re not shown any indication of that or that Ralph and Vanellope even give a flying shit about evryone else that is being effected in the game.
With everyone making a big deal about Vanellope being a PRESIENT (aka, LEADER) of the game, you’d THINK the bigger lesson here would be Ralph realizing that despite how much he loves her, despite how much he thinks she should be allowed to do whatever she wants or think she’s always right, if he wants her to MATURE, he’d tell her he has to pull her pants up and get on the job to SAVE THE GAME THAT SO MANY PEOPLE RELY ON TO LIVE IN.
In the trailer she tells Shank, ‘If I’m not a racer, what am I?”
A President?
Loved by hundreds of people in the arcade?
A hero?
See the problem here?
That question alone makes everything feel so one sided as well as makes it out that the only reason Vanellope is even trying to get a wheel back is for HERSELF, not for ANYONE ELSE in the game.
Yet we’re supposed to see her as this great President?
What is the message exactly here, given that the last movie tells us that Vanellope is one thing and we should see and respect that but they keep throwing in so much afterwards and it sort of messes up everything that was accomplished in the first movie.
I always had my worries about this movie being too much like The Emoji Movie in terms of advertising and jokes but this makes it even worse (to me) because all it shows is that whatever team dynamic games are supposed to have doesn’t mean anything anymore and that the whims of one character messing everyone up isn’t an issue.
The first movie made it a big deal about ‘going Turbo’ or Ralph ditching FiF and the game going out of order. Felix risked his neck to find Ralph and bring him back but it doesn’t feel that either Vanellope and Ralph are doing the same for Sugar Rush. It feels like the only reasons they are even going online is to save themselves, Ralph only agreeing to do so to make Vanellope happy, not for the greater good of everyone in the game. Had Vanellope nto given a care or not said anything, it feels that Ralph wouldn’t have done it and they would have watched SR get unplugged and that would have been the end?
See where this makes them out to be shit characters now?
And as for the rest of the WiR characters, we get even less of them. You’d think that if Ralph’s feelings over friendship were so important, the arcacde crew (especially Felix and Calhoun) WOULD have accompanied him to remind him that he’s not alone and that he and Vanellope shouldn’t have gone to the internet alone, BUT if the story of the movie is still true they have just been saked with everyone else back in the arcade, their whole ‘plot point’ being to watch the kids to remind everyone that they exist.
A little note on that; SR was never meant to have a King so by DEFAULT the kids would have been on their own from the get go? Why do they suddenly need supervision NOW and why are they just acting as if they care now?
The interviews say that this movie is supposed to ‘speak to this generation’ but about what? It really doesn’t say anything because given the things they set up from the last movie, they had to break, stretching, and completely forget entire plot-points in order to even get to this lesson. And it could have been handled in so many ways.
If the idea is that Ralph is still lonely, SHOW THAT in the preview. Show just a little snippet that in the SEVEN YEARS since the first that nothing has changed in the arcade at all but from the get go, it looks like things are better for Ralph and Vanellope than EVER with the only snag being that SR ‘breaks’ and it only effects Vanellope and Ralph.
SHOW that the arcade is still having issues with the two, SHOW that the characters they live with are still ignoring them.
SHOW US.
The only thing the trailer did was make Ralph and Vanellope feel isolated but not int the way they attempted. They made them feel isolated by forgetting that there are other people in the arcade they could interact with to move the story along, jumping right to shitty internet jokes and shots of the ‘new’ characters that still don’t make an actual impact.
I have this saying; you can brag on about how much of an ‘impact’ you story makes but there is a point where there is so much ‘symbolize’ that it can take before it becomes shallow and apparent that you’re only doing this to make it feel like you’re saying something smart.
This movie is ‘saying’ a lot of things but comes off as someone trying too hard to be hip at the cost of characters people WANT to see and like.
Yeah, they shudda stuck with games.

hihi!💗 so i’ve noticed that you like alphonse a lot, and i really want to like him too. but my issue is that he just seems kinda.. flat. like he doesn’t really have unique and interesting motivations, like the other characters do. he just kind of seems “nice” or “good”, rather than multi-dimensional and complex like people are supposed to be, you know? since you like him, can you prove me wrong? do you have any headcanons about him? why does everyone like him so much? sorry if i sound rude!!😖
 Hi, there!
No, you don’t sound rude. Don’t worry. I was actually thinking about doing a full research on Alfonse because my Alfonse crush has been getting more intense lately and I want to know more about my boy and understand him better too. Because it’s been so long since I’ve played the story mode I really wanted to read a script and do a full character analysis at some point - so, I guess now is a good time too. :D
As this turned out to be quite long (and when I say long I mean almost 5000 words long), the rest is under the cut. All the main points are summarized at the end so if reading long analyses is not your thing you can go by with just the introduction and summary at the end (but that means taking my word for it and I might be wrong).
Tumblr media
Disclaimer: English is not my first language and no matter how much time I spent on polishing this, language can get weird sometimes. Please, bear with me. I also think it gets better later in the post. The beginning is weird and I don’t like it but I’ve spent too much time on this already.
Post breakdown: first I address the ask, then I start with the analysis of Alfonse as a prince and how that shaped him and his personality, then I move on to some random facts I picked up, and end everything with addressing the popular ‘trust issues’ trope and the analysis of his relationship with Zacharias and Summoner. All is rounded up by a summary and some last words.
Okay, so first of all, Alfonse clicked with me the moment I met him mostly because of aesthetic reasons - his design was on point with my tastes I guess, and I will be as shallow as one can be with liking fictional characters based on appearance first. Nothing in his personality gave me a reason to dislike him so he stayed as a new fav. Also, developers wrote him kind of fan-servicey in a way that he is really attentive to Summoner and there is loads of super cute stuff he says to you too. More on that later.
As for his multi-dimensionality, there are many facts about him that make him more than just “nice” and “good”, although he is definitely that too. I can’t dislike that. I prefer good people and I will always like kind characters because I like positive personalities in real people. Of course, you can’t expect of all the characters to be made perfectly complex, especially if you work with just short dialogues that are more focused on the plot. Keep in mind that there are no support conversations in this game where we usually find out more about the characters’ past and traits unrelated to the plot conflict that is currently going on. So, even though I agree new siblings could be developed more I am also aware of the limitations this type of game imposes on the characterisation of new characters. For the amount of characterisation fe:h allows, I would say he’s been done justice. I would even say he’s got more characterisation than Sharena, who is just portrayed as being cheerful, outgoing and loves making friends with everyone (nothing bad with that, I love Sharena too and those are likeable characteristics in people). I will be mentioning Sharena a couple of times but it’s important to note that I haven’t been paying attention to her as much as I have to Alfonse so I might have missed something.
Now that we’re done with the introduction let’s start talking about Alfonse. I collected all this information from story dialogue and paralogue maps scripts from feheroes.gamepedia, as well as from the fe wikia character quotes.  If you read chapter scripts and his Castle quotes you can pick up quite a few things about him.
He is the crown prince of Askr, and one to bear the responsibility of royalty on his back. It is mentioned both in Book II, Chapter 4, and one of his Home quotes that many were against a prince being so hands-on and joining the fight in the way he and Sharena did. Their father even stopped talking to him. This isn’t mentioned anywhere for Sharena and implies that greater responsibility was expected from him and that as a crown prince he has more expectations to live up to. Still, he chose to fight for his kingdom over staying in his father grace - that’s how much he cares about what he considers morally right. Furthermore, in his lv 40 confession, he mentions that as a prince he needs to be strong and avoid exposing himself to emotions that might result in him being hurt. This could point to his behaviour being shaped by the expectations that are put on him as a crown prince, which indicates his strong sense of responsibility towards his duty. I mean, you can argue that being driven by one’s duty to others is unhealthy or something, but I would always pause and say that this is a crown-prince we’re talking about. Being born into a royal family and being a crown prince is unfortunate in that one should always be selfless and act for the benefit of your nation in mind. This is not a “normal”, common person who can allow himself act for his own good because the crown bears a tremendous responsibility to the people, and everything royalty does should be for the benefit of their kingdom. It’s not fair to the person itself but if the ruler is not acting like that then they are not a good ruler. I can see Alfonse as being someone who understands this and tries to act (trains himself to act) accordingly. He accepts his role and takes it seriously - something I would also interpret as a sign of maturity. This might not be “unique” or “interesting” but for the role he has in that world, I would say this is reasonable and acceptable as a circumstance that has shaped him. He is also presented as the more responsible and serious one of the siblings, “the reasonable one” and “the voice of reason” who puts breaks on Sharena’s impulsive reactions and brings her down to earth (e.g. Book I - Prologue, Part 2). A funny moment in the LA Paralogue where he says “today’s youth” actually shows us that he is taking himself really seriously and doesn’t even allow him to think of himself as a regular young person - that is a luxury he cannot afford. Sharena’s reaction “ Not this conversation again… “ could potentially support the hypothesis that this is indeed true and that he indeed regularly acts like this. I could have misinterpreted something here because I can’t say what she wanted to say here:” You do realize that, today, you- No, never mind. “. Was this last word supposed to be ‘you’ or ‘youth’? I also can’t tell what she wanted to say before stopping herself, and it could affect the interpretation of her “not this conversation again” sentence. But no matter how much we joke about this detachment from people of his age, it’s actually quite sad. Sharena doesn’t have problems with this apparently, and I have enough reasons to believe she was not brought up in the same way as Alfonse was and was probably spared of royal responsibilities to some degree which is why she can afford to behave more cheerful and relaxed. But on the other hand, these children had some fucked-up childhood which is revealed in one of Sharena’s Home quotes where Sharena mentions OFTEN sending letters to her mother because they don’t get to see each other enough, even though they all live in the same castle. Their main way of communicating is via letters! With her own mother! I couldn’t dig up more on this and I don’t want to start with pure speculations but something weird is going on here.
Back to Alfonse - even though he acts all serious, when his kingdom, his people, or people dear to him are involved, he can get pretty passionate and impulsive too (e.g. Book I - Prologue, Part 1 - here he is also clear on what he thinks about conquering other worlds and enslaving heroes; Prologue, Part 3 - to Veronica: “And I will personally never forget this violation of my kingdom!”; Chapter 9, Part 4; Chapter 12, Part 1; anything concerning Zacharias basically - but that will be covered in more detail below). When he gets like this he doesn’t mind his language as usual, so he swears and becomes really direct in confrontations (*cough* Chrom mood *cough*). When he’s mad, you can really see that he is mad. This and all his emotional bursts actually show that he is not all brain and cold reasoning, but he might be acting like that because he was brought up to be more careful and responsible.
His royal posture is the most easily seen when he confronts enemies and demands answers from them (e.g. see Book I - Prologue, Part 1; Chapter 9, Part 4; Chapter 13, Part 1). Sharena doesn’t do this.
I believe Alfonse is truly a good prince. He is really loyal to his people and deeply cares about Askr - you might see this as boring, but you can’t have a good ruler without that and every lord in FE should be like this to be a candidate for a ‘my fav’ position [see Book I, Prologue, Part 3; but also, more evidence for this claim will be mentioned in some specific instances below]. In Book II, Chapter 3 he is shown as worrying about the townspeople and wanting to help them rebuild the town. Upon leaving he asks for signal hay in case the need to signal the people to run away, and even if at first it seems he abandons his people to proceed with their mission it is shown that he did care, and was in fact thinking in advance. He also shows his genuine kindness in multiple instances, e.g. when he insists on helping Fjorm after the Order finds her unconscious.
I would also say that he actually despises battling and cruelty. There were instances where he calls war “brutal” [Book I, Prologue, Part 3], war cruelty “despicable” [Book II, Chapter 3, Part 1], and tries to resolve a situation by conversation rather than fighting [Book I - Prologue, Part 2].  In the New Year Paralogue [Paralogue 17, Part 13] when Order of Heroes visits a shrine and prays for something in the new year, he wishes for world peace. This leaves Sharena proclaiming that he always goes with the perfect answer. Why would this be bad and boring? We need more people like this, especially males. Imagine if all people in power were like this.
A random fact that I’ve realized upon systematic reading is that he is presented as being the most knowledgeable one in the Order of Heroes, familiar with most legends, prophecies and historical facts about kingdoms. There are some instances where Anna is the one to bring exposition, and Sharena did it in LA Paralogue, but it is mostly Alfonse who does it [e.g. Book I - Chapter 9, part 5; Paralogue 4, Part 1; Paralogue 16, Part 1: I realised that I wasn’t taking note of all instances to support this claim, which I regret now but I am not going through the whole script again]. Whether this has more to do with more attention being given to his education considering him being the heir to the throne or he is just keener on collecting knowledge on his own is not said (as far as I could pick up at least). He does say this in one of his Home quotes: “Someday we should visit the library together. There’s much information on the Heroes of other worlds.” which does imply that he visits libraries often. Again, this is not exactly evidence in favour of any of those, but as he invites you to the library it can be said that he actually enjoys learning new stuff. In Paralogue 16, Sharena cuts him off while he is telling a legend about the origin of giving gifts on Christmas which ends up in Alfonse sounding really disappointed for being interrupted. This could be taken as a hint that he actually enjoys stories and likes passing them down/telling them. So adorable.
Okay, now is the time to address the most recognizable of his traits and the one that is brought up the most – his trust issues and problems with opening up to other people. This is actually the juicier part, but surprise surprise, it can be traced back to his royal role.
“Sharena: Two of my best friends are Heroes! That’s why they stay with us. I only wish I had more friends like them.Alfonse: I’ve told you before, Sharena. Heroes are not friends. Only our allies. Don’t get close to them.Sharena: Oh, you. Don’t be prickly. You think that only because you were once very close to a Hero. And THAT one left to go home.Alfonse: Enough, Sharena.” [Book I, Chapter 2, Part 5]
To put things in a perspective: the royalty of Askr and Emblia have power to open and close gates to the other worlds, respectively. Veronica’s father started a war with Askr, stopped closing the opened gates and started enslaving heroes. After he died, Embla declared that the war is over, but Veronica continued his legacy after a while [Chapter 9]. I didn’t stumble upon any mention of the actual years to help us with a timeline, so we don’t know when Veronica’s father started a war nor how long the peace after his death lasted. Regardless of weather Alfonse and Sharena were brought up in a time of war or peace, there is a long tradition of siding up with heroes from the other worlds [mentioned in the introduction by Alfonse]. Apparently, Sharena has two “best friends” who are Heroes (although we still don’t know who these people are as they are not mentioned again), and Alfonse apparently got really close to one of the Heroes in the past (maybe he even developed romantic feelings for them – this is my hc :P) but they left the world of Askr and went home. This is not Zacharias, as Zacharias is from their world and they still don’t know at this point that he left them voluntarily, nor that he indeed went home.
Next, Alfonse mentions this in his confession: “The more you have to lose, the worse it hurts when you do. Others may open themselves to such hurt, but as a prince, I must remain strong. It seemed reasonable to keep everyone at a distance.” What I think happened there? Alfonse fell in love for the first time and discovered that other person can be a big weakness to oneself. After they left, Alfonse was really hurt, his royal duties were maybe affected, and I have a reason to think that he’s still not over that and is just repressing this feeling (for example, his reaction to Sharena bringing this up). To prevent this from happening again he shut himself from opening to another person again. Or maybe not necessarily at that point, but after losing Zacharias, and this happening again - definitely. He was hurt again, and it was affecting his performance as a prince. He wouldn’t mention “as a prince” as the reason why he must remain strong if it wasn’t. He takes his role seriously indeed. However, he is also fully aware that closing up to other people like that is not a good solution either. In Paralogue 7, Part 3, after Sharena was tricked by Katarina he says this: “If you don’t trust people, they can’t betray you… And if you don’t trust people, you’ll never make a connection with anybody. Not truly. Sure, you might be hurt. Lied to, tricked, betrayed… Played for a fool. But trust is a beautiful thing. It doesn’t come easily to me, Sharena. But it does for you. That is something special.”. Here he also mentions being lied to, tricked and betrayed. He could be speaking about all the theoretical possibilities, but he could also be speaking from the personal experience. If someone is willing to explore and play around what might have happened with Alfonse’s first love/friendship, there’s a nice fanfic prompt. :P
There is a double and kind of contradicting potential in his words about trust not coming easily to him. I love to think that trust actually does come easily to him (maybe not as easily as to Sharena but still), but he actively blocks it and tries to prevent it from happening to avoid getting hurt. He doesn’t get attached to everyone as Sharena does, but only because he chooses not to, not because that’s in his nature. We could go as far as to say that he so actively shapes this part of him that he is convincing himself and others that this is actually in his nature. Why I think so? We have three instances where he opened up to another person in a relatively short amount of time - that one mysterious person, Zacharias, and Summoner. Alfonse is just an introvert and when he gets attached he gets really attached. If one wasn’t naturally trustful would this be happening so often despite one’s efforts to prevent it? I might be totally wrong and he actually IS naturally untrusting and just those three people somehow managed to gain his trust. Which is again weird, but also, if that was the truth, why was he so fast to trust Bruno (covered below)? Also, it’s not like he doesn’t cooperate with other people - on the contrary. Being in the Order of Heroes and cooperating with all the Heroes even before that shows that he is not repulsed by the idea of cooperation (you need to trust your ally for that). He is not depicted as rejecting everyone and working alone, on the contrary, he is quick to welcome Summoner and Fjorm. Who are you trying to convince that trust doesn’t come naturally to you, Alfonse?! C’mon! He is too well trained in diplomacy and had experience in cooperating with Heroes even before the war with Embla started to actually sound convincing here. He is just careful not to get too close to other people again, which was driven by a certain experience and actually takes effort so you can’t say that it’s natural to him.
No matter how hard he tries not to open to other people it happens again. He opens to Summoner [from his confession: “I have to confess that I never intended to become friends with you, Summoner. But you’re always there when I need you, to the extent that when you’re not near, I feel…not quite myself. (…) It seemed reasonable to keep everyone at a distance. But you’ve shown me the folly of that. I would have never discovered our fine friendship, had I not welcomed you in. And then what would I be? Less than I am. Now, I can only hope you feel the same. In any case, I swear to keep you safe. You are my trusted partner, Summoner.”]. His fear of losing another person he loves (any kind of love you feel comfortable with) is apparent in a couple of cases. Case 1) Book I, Chapter 6, Part 5 – Battle against Ryoma. Ryoma’s tactic was to separate someone from the Order of Heroes and engage in a single combat with them. It’s not completely clear was he challenging Summoner or Order in general, but after the battle, Alfonse says this: “I have to admit that I was alarmed when he shouted about going into single combat. Thank goodness we were able to work around that wall. We should avoid any attempts to separate us!”. Sharena also brings some angst with lettings us know that they were severely affected by the Zacharias’ disappearance: “Sharena: It was terrible, wasn’t it? Being split up like that, I thought we might never see each other again! And… and… And I never EVER want to go through that again. Not like we did with our friend Zacharias.”. Case 2) Book I, Chapter 10, Part 5 – Veronica closes gates with Summoner still in the other world. After they are all reunited, Alfonse shows how distressed he was: “When I saw you disappear just like Zacharias did, I thought my chest would burst.”. So, yeah. All his efforts turned back on him because now he has Summoner.
In the end, I would like to just cover some things regarding Zacharias, because the way Alfonse behaves when he’s brought as a topic and the way he behhaves around him as Bruno tell us something about Alfonse. Zacharias and Alfonse are so shippable (whatever kind of ship you want) you’ll see why now. So, after mentioning the Zacharias for the first time (see above) both Alfonse and Sharena started dwelling on his disappearance again, then comes all the exposition [see Book I, Chapter 7, Part 5] and then they decide to go look for him again. After that failure, they become desperate again “Anna: (after scolding Sharena) You too, Alfonse! Wipe that sorry look off your face. What would Zacharias say if he saw this?”. After this, they are confronted by Bruno who leaks them information about Veronica’s next plan which helps the Order of Heroes to stop her from destroying the Summoning ruins. Bruno approaches them again after that (they still don’t know anything about him). Alfonse is the first one to address him and acknowledges that his help was invaluable and proceeds to thank him (my good good, proper and polite boy), but that’s not why Bruno has approached them. Upon hearing that they are still searching for Zacharias he lets them know that their search is futile and that they will never see him again which makes Alfonse extremely emotional and he loses composure showing how much he is still hurt by Zacharias’ disappearance. Short exclamations and questions, arguing with Anna, acting on a whim and behaving irrationally (Anna had to stop him from running after Bruno who is still a complete stranger with unknown motives and could be easily setting up a trap for them), unwillingness to let Bruno go without getting answers out of him… all of that shows how much he is affected by his emotions, even though he tries to bury them and not let them affect who he needs to be as a crown prince. “If he knows anything about Zacharias… But, fine. I’ll follow your command. I only hope that my friend is safe… wherever he is.”.  I love this boy who cares about his friend so much (TuT). The next time Bruno appears before them he’s in his “possessed” state, and our boy, who tries really hard not to trust people and not to get attached, is the one who sees that “(s)omething’s wrong with him”. “It’s like he’s not even the same person.”. Even after trying to kill them, Alfonse doesn’t want to kill Bruno. “You helped us, once. I have no intention of taking your life here.”. Bruno replies with “You’ll live to regret letting me off so easy…”. I can only imagine the realization Alfonse had here – he really was behaving irrationally and was letting his peaceful and nice nature directs his actions. There is no notion of this in the script but considering everything I think he must have heard the echo of these words for a while. Afterwards, Bruno tells them that he was the one who killed Zacharias, which our Order refuses to accept. Alfonse is clear on what they need to do now though, and lets his emotions slip up again: “I… I think we should follow Prince Bruno. We last saw him in the World of Shadows. He may still be there. Only he knows the truth. And if he did kill Zacharias…that is an act I cannot forgive.” This is happening in Chapter 12, and Part 5 is where Alfonse finally decides to avenge his friends (his words) but stops in the middle of the act when Summoner attracts his attention. If we think about this scene being filled with emotions (after all that effort they put into finding him and never giving up on him, Alfonse has to accept that his friend is dead, and his murderer is kneeling before him) the fact that he’s able to stop himself in a middle of such an emotion-fuelled act reminds me of when Robin was able to stop Chrom from rampaging after Emm’s death. Summoner realized that Bruno might be Zacharias, however, they don’t say it directly – Alfonse is the one who actually says that out loud.  Chapter 13, Part 1 is so emotional, which makes me emotional over poor Alfonse. I will not paste the whole script here but look it up if you want. For some reason, they made this face-off only between Alfonse and Zacharias/Bruno. Sharena and Anna don’t jump in at any point, we only see Alfonse’s suffering and dealing with Zacharias’ explanation. Is this just a simplification or was it done on purpose? Hm hm. He doesn’t say much, but his reaction is so genuine – if you imagine this scene you can see him being in so much pain for hearing what is happening with Zacharias… I mean, at least I can. Zacharias even calls out for Alfonse at one point. In Part 5 of the same Chapter, Zacharias asks Alfonse to kill him before his cursed blood consumes him. Alfonse, of course, can’t do that. “I cannot kill a friend. I wish you had told us about this sooner… Why did you wait?”. This is so painful aaaaah, imagine someone you care about fighting their inner demons like this on their own – it breaks my heart, and I imagine Alfonse feeling the same. He is hurt again. Our boy is hurt again by caring for another person. Zacharias vanishes here without anything actually being resolved and the Book II starts after this, so we will definitely see more of this drama. Argh, can’t wait.
To summarize, Alfonse is a crown-prince of Askr who was probably brought up in a controlled way to be prepared for his future role. He takes his role very seriously, but he is also a kind person who deeply cares about his kingdom and the well-being of people. As a prince, he tries to put his duty above his personal feelings and when the latter started affecting the former, he tries to stop it from happening ever again by not letting himself get attached to other people. Because this goes against his nature he can’t help but start caring about Zacharias and, later, Summoner. He definitely cares about Sharena and Anna too. Even though this was not addressed in canon yet, everything else tells us that this is to be expected. I wonder if some of them will get in danger in the future and trigger that common Alfonse’s reaction again. He is well-educated and loves reading, learning new stories and passing them down. Whenever he is not under the influence of emotions he is being very serious and rational and acts like a true royal when facing enemies. Alfonse is an introverted bby that loves to spend time reading in a library, needs a lot of time to warm up to people, but when he does, oh boy, he’s so attached to them that losing them is really painful. Guess what, Summoner? Alfonse found you worthy of imprinting on and there is no escape now.
I can’t speak for other people and why they like Alfonse, but I have developed a crush on him because of his design and all the nice attention he gives to Summoner. He goes on patrols with you to make sure nothing happens to you (“’ll be glad to go on patrol with you. Some get lost around here. So, really, it’s best I keep an eye on you.“), invites you to hang around in the library while learning about things (I’m a scholar, so this appeals to me), is interested in the world you’re coming from and wants to visit your world with you (see his tap quotes; arghh he’s so curious and wants to know more about you aaaah my tiny heart), begs you to stay with them [Chapter 9, Part 5] and not to leave without warning him first (“Promise you’ll never leave us… without warning me first.”), he continuously acknowledges your help (“I deeply appreciate your help, Summoner.”, “All of this is thanks to you, Summoner.”, “"We are fortunate to have you with us, I can’t imagine a better summoner.”) he mentions feeling like his chests bursting when you got separated by Veronica, and he is quick to react to Summoner’s voice [Chapter 12, Part 5]. And let’s not forget him inviting you to a romantic stroll in the snowy night [Paralogue 16, Part 3]. To top everything, here’s his lv 40 confession in full, because it’s just to heart-melting and I couldn’t pass including it in full: “I have to confess that I never intended to become friends with you, Summoner. But you’re always there when I need you, to the extent that when you’re not near, I feel…not quite myself. It’s a delicate position to be in. The more you have to lose, the worse it hurts when you do. Others may open themselves to such hurt, but as a prince, I must remain strong. It seemed reasonable to keep everyone at a distance. But you’ve shown me the folly of that. I would have never discovered our fine friendship, had I not welcomed you in. And then what would I be? Less than I am. Now, I can only hope you feel the same. In any case, I swear to keep you safe. You’re my trusted partner, Summoner.”
Have some nice summary quotes for the end:
“I’m striving to be an excellent prince, and to master the use of Heroes.”
“My greatest wish is to see our realm at peace, and our people happy again.”
“Promise you’ll never leave us… without warning me first.”
“I’m glad to have you here, but someday, I’d like to open the way to your world… We could go together.”
Congratulations! You have survived reading through all of this (or scrolling if you’re on a phone - I am so sorry). You deserve to rest your eyes now on this blessing that Fire Emblem gave us a year ago. A truly blessed smile.

Sanji and Purin - My view
So chapter 876 happened and I just wanted to update my thoughts on Sanji and Purin after what was shown in the chapter. I’ll also talk a little about what my thoughts are regarding where Oda might take the story with these characters. Or at least what my personal hope for it is.
Now, I don't want to come off as rude to anyone who likes Sanji and Purin together, but if you're sensitive just avoid my post.
First, looking briefly at chapter 876, I want to just mention the strawhats’ reactions to meeting Purin again.
I must say even though we did get a reaction from Luffy and the line “Then piss off!” was hilarious I think he forgave Purin rather easily… Or not forgave, but his reaction wasn’t that big. I assume Chiffon made it better? And it seems like there is this “We have only one option” vibe about making the cake… Which I suppose is ok, but isn’t really explained well. But anyways, back to Purin. I found it interesting that not even Sanji seemed all that interested in Purin except for his normal cute girl reaction he had at first. Which I understand, I mean it’s still Sanji. If he had even worse reactions when he knew she wanted to kill him this is very understandable in comparison even if she is clearly crazy. But I definitely don't see it as a sign for future romance or true love. Just a few chapters ago we saw Sanji going heart eyes over Nami and saying he wanted to be her slave. So how does this moments indicate anything deeper than Sanji's other love-cook moments? The only real differance is that Purin is seemingly attracted to him too, but we’ll get back to that.
Tumblr media
Personally I find Purin’s character interesting as she goes between extreme yandere and tsundere… But I do wonder how Oda is going to handle this… I feel like he might go the “Sanji’s kindness changes Purin” by the end, meaning Purin’s evil side might disappear completely. Which would be a very simple solution in my opinion. If she really has some psychological problems, like a split personality it’s a little odd to just “make it go away” by something like that. But it’s a shonen, so I guess it’s to be expected if that happens.
Either way, despite finding her quite funny and interesting I’m not sure I like how Oda has treated Purin in general, making the readers confused more than anything… Which I assume is mostly for shock-value. But not knowing who the real Purin is makes it harder to understand and thus also perceive her as a character. For me as a reader this has meant I haven’t been able to form a proper relation with or feeling towards Purin, except for confusion. So I don’t like her for being a bad character and I don’t like her for being a nice character. I don’t hate her either, I don’t really feel much about her at all. She was rather funny the last time we saw her, so that’s an improvement, and there is some time left of the arc, so I guess Oda still has time to present her in a less confusing manner now that we know why she seems to switch personality. But either way since not even the strawhats know if they can trust her I still can’t trust her fully either.
Tumblr media
And that is a big problem. If Oda really want Purin to be a love interest he has to make it clear that she’s someone trustworthy. Oda can’t just give Sanji a pretty girl and expect people to be happy with it. It takes a lot more than that to develop a genuine relationship, not even a romantic one but just one of friendship or less needs to be shown clearly. Which is difficult when we don’t even know if we can truly trust Purin. You get my point? Oda needs to make things much clearer regarding Purin before anything else.
Anyways, I guess we won’t get to spend that much time with Sanji, Purin and Chiffon… Baking a cake shouldn’t be all that interesting to watch, so we’ll probably just get a few updates here and there until they are on their way back and things can go wrong again.
Now, when it comes to Sanji x Purin, I can see a few options on how the story might evolve, but I can’t see them actually becoming a canon couple by the end of this arc. I know many seems to ship them now, and I kind of get it but at the same time I don't. I’ll state my reasons why Sanji and Purin doesn't work for me if we speak about canon romance.
First there is no reason for Sanji to get a love interest now. I personally think Sanji strives to find true love and that he’s not the playboy type so many fans seem to think. So by the end of the series, yes I'd love for Sanji to have changed enough to have a real romance. But adding a love interest now would mean that Sanji’s personality would be altered from now on out.
It would change the dynamics of the crew and I don’t think Oda would get rid of Sanji’s perverted side (even though I personally would love to see it toned down a lot), but if Sanji stays the same even after getting together with someone he will get a bad (even worse) image. Which is why I think Sanji needs to gradually change for him to end up with a love interest.
That being said, rejecting Purin despite a mutual attraction would be a perfect way to show that Sanji is not shallow and that to him love isn’t just about attraction. Especially since he’s already said himself that he doesn’t want to marry a girl he just met and barely know. Imagine him going back on that statement?
Tumblr media
This panel sums up the ship’s shallowness for me, because the only thing that has happened after this is that Purin has hurt and tried to kill Sanji and his close ones while also proving to be crazy.
Also imagine what a message it sends out. “If a girl is pretty it doesn’t matter what she does, she’ll still get prince charming.” I’m all for Purin getting some sort of redemption, but not through romance.  I’m actually pretty sure her redepmtion will happen in some way, but it doesn’t change how much evil she has done and it doesn’t change the fact that she and Sanji barely know each other.
Basically there is not enough development. No time for two people to actually fall in love properly. Perhaps a crush, but nothing more. It’s too shallow. Purin falling for Sanji because of one compliment is horrible but understandable because of her past. But it’s still shallow, and doesn’t sound like a healthy way to start a relationship at all. And Sanji falling for someone as crazy as Purin just because she’s beautiful is also extremely shallow. I see no purpose of ruining both their characters like this by actually trying to show their development as a real love story. However, if Oda instead uses the opportunity of this small crush to show development in both characters, I will be more than happy. It will also be consistent with what Sanji has already claimed.
If Sanji rejects her that will be further development for his character, and Purin could also end up on a similar path as Lola, being free to search for her own true love instead of getting together with the first person that comes along and compliments her, making her basically obsessed instantly. If Sanji helps her on this road surely there will be enough to keep on shipping them happily, but having them turn canon just doesn't make sense at this point.
Tumblr media
Also, frankly Purin is crazy and Sanji deserves better. Oda should have made Purin likeable from the start, or at least made sure to do a Violet and show she wasn’t actually evil and enjoyed taunting Sanji. Despite Purin turning good and possibly even getting rid of her “evil side” because of Sanji it doesn’t erase the fact that she tried to kill Sanji and his loved ones, just a few hours (minutes?) ago. I haven’t even forgiven Ceasar yet, how would you expect me to forgive Purin so easily? Just because half of her seem to like Sanji now?
She went too far to deserve being together with Sanji. The switch is too sudden, and even if she proves to be trustworthy by the end of the arc she’s still a crazy person who acts obsessive and just last chapter threatened to kill Sanji’s nakama. That is not a good relationship.
If so Violet was a better choice and Oda decided not to further develop that at all. In hindsight the only reasons I can see for Violet’s interactions with Sanji are
1. To remind the audience again about Sanji’s problem with fighting women in preparation for the current arc and the reveal of Sanji’s past.
2. To show that Sanji is in fact a good catch and can have women fall for him. Which is also a good set up in preparation for WCI. And also possibly show that Sanji is interested in love, not just lust.
3. Once again highlight Sanji’s ability to turn enemy into friend with his kindness.
4. To prove that Sanji’s nakama are of course more important to him than a woman he just met. Which Oda showed again when Sanji first rejected Purin.
5. Convenience for the plot.
I feel like Purin could be the next step in this development, and possibly change the view of Sanji because of what many One Piece fans consider the biggest flaws in Sanji’s character.
The chances of Purin becoming a new nakama are slim, but that is most likely the only way Oda could get enough time to develop a proper relationship between Sanji and Purin. Why I don’t think that she will become a nakama are because of a few reasons, but quickly I’ll just say I don’t think it’s likely because: Her job on the crew would be redundant. Either she would be there to bake or possibly to read poneglyphs and Sanji and Robin already perfectly fill those roles. She also doesn’t seem to be much of a fighter, and her ability with manipulating memories could in the long run be a hassle for Oda to keep track of. I don’t know, but I just don’t see her set of skills fitting with becoming a nakama.
She being on board as she is now with a double personality would of course be funny, but probably get really old in the long run since it’s not just a temporary gag. It would of course also mean that Sanji could possibly change and I am sure not many readers are interested in seeing romance being displayed on the regular. Most people who even wants romance in One Piece agrees it’s not the focus and that it would be better to wait with possible romance until the end of the series. Development towards that is of course needed, but in Purin’s case where it’s basically already confirmed she has a crush on Sanji I feel like it would be too much of a distraction. Even though Sanji actually does seem to be rather calm about her reactions.
There are also much more likable and possible choices for new nakama, like Carrot. I don’t know, I could be wrong, but personally I just don’t see Purin becoming a nakama neither a permanent love interest for Sanji.
I've also seen many talk about Purin being somthing similar what Kaya is for Usopp. But again, this is completely different. Kaya and Usopp have history together and got to know each other over a long period of time. They also fell in love/like each other for the right reasons, and there is nothing shallow about that possible ship. Sanji and Purin doesn't know each other, and what they know they don't seem to like. With the only exception being Purin's looks and Sanji's compliment. Everything else is ambiguous at best and even if there are more genuine feelings there, there is no way it's love already. Hence, I can't see Oda making it canon, at least not the way things look right now.
So, in short I does seem like Purin will be redeemed to some degree, but no matter how the story goes from now it doesn’t seem like making Sanji and Purin a canon couple is a very good idea. Also, my hope is for Oda to use this oppertunity to once and for all prove that Sanji isn’t as shallow as so many seem to think.
Thank you for reading, I know there’s a lot in here you’ve probably heard before, but I wanted to put out my own thoughts anyway. I really wanted to post this sooner, but my computer hasn’t really been on my side recently. ^^’’ And again, I’m not against shipping Sanji and Purin, I just think it’s a really bad choice for a canon romance. Let me know what you think!
