Sketches!
After some encouragement, I finally have the guts to post these. I'm kinda a bit embarrassed about it cause it's a bit messy, but after cleaning it up a bit it's surprisingly decent. So yee

Feral Wiggly - Greyscale Chapter 2 Art
Took me two fucking months, but I finally found the motivation to draw the art of Nibbly and Wiggly’s great tree war from chapter 2 of Greyscale, as requested by Fangirlnumber_238120 on AO3!
I literally only put effort into the colours on this, but at the same time… I tend to be at my best when I’m making something that isn’t serious. After all, when you’re making something that’s not serious, you don’t have to worry about making it look good!
For those who haven’t read Greyscale, here’s the link:

I finally cracked it. The placing of Lena’s scene, the exposition on the clergy, a moment on how things unfolded in the past.
Funny thing too, since Lena’s scene almost ended up exactly where it started. It just needed some foundational work, a little nudge to remind the reader of where MC came from, and where they are going. It sounds so simple in hindsight, but it was driving me insane for the longest time.
It only took a restructuring of my entire outline, a hard look at the actual themes I wanted to introduce this early, how it weaves together with the rest of the story, changing the reveals I cherished so dearly... My brain turned to goop. But! I am so satisfied with how it looks now. And with the first draft of the update having grown legs, sprinting ahead of me, I have so much to work with now! Tonight I start on the second draft, the one I will be sending to betas. (Don’t worry, I haven’t announced the need for them yet!)
I feel like I’m finally tooting the boat-horn and shouting full speed ahead!
Spoilers for chapter 2 beneath the cut:

“An obedient army, I’d say. I visited Oakwerth just before the release, the Draman job, do you remember?”
“If I remember, Leith? You came back with the skin peeling off your arms. I remember.” You shudder.
“The scourge had already started, then. The commoners turning into mindless, slithering things. Their eyes… Their eyes multiplied like blisters forming all over their bodies, blinking open. I think the clergy wants us to keep them safe from their self-made consequences.”
You scoff. “Short of controlling us into fighting for them-”
“Well..” Leith takes a seat next to you, wrapping an arm around your shoulder, pressing you close. A shiver runs down your spine as le_he sighs. Your hands are covered in tiny cuts, in dried blood and dirt. A thorn is lodged in your thumb. Folding your hands together, you ignore the sting of weeks of unrelenting work. “What are you saying? Do they have the tech for that, to… to actually control us?”
Leith runs a hand over le_his face. “It’s possible.” END ID]

Fuck it Friday
a little sneak peek for chapter 20 of 'for a holiday' - while chapter 19 will be up in a few hours haha
“And, you know, after that Halloween kiss…” Buck says finally, fiddling with Eddie’s fingers, where their hands are clasped on his chest. “Well, when you kissed me, I thought that maybe you feel the same, but then the next morning you never mentioned it, and I assumed that-”
“Oh my god.” Eddie groans, burrowing his face in the pillow. “We’re both so fucking dumb. I assumed you wanted to pretend it never happened, because you didn’t say anything either!” he laughs, because it’s ridiculous. One honest conversation months ago, and they’d be together all this time already.
“How was I supposed to know?” Buck laughs quietly as well.
“I basically threw myself at you, Buck.” Eddie rolls his eyes, his cheeks heating up. “And then you laughed and said we’re too drunk.”
“I didn’t want you to regret anything if- if anything happened.” he adds shyly, and that’s new.
“Well, I wasn’t that drunk.” Eddie whispers. “And I definitely hoped something more would happen.” he adds, and feels Buck’s eyes on him. It’s dark, only moonlight coming in through the windows, illuminating the room. Still, Eddie can make out Buck’s smile. “You know, I was so occupied with how I fucked things up with that kiss, I didn’t even let myself think about how much I wanted it to continue.”
“Something more will happen.” he purrs, tugging on Eddie’s hand, trying to bring him closer. Eddie goes easily, now basically half on top of Buck, their faces close. It’s like their bodies are magnets, always pulling towards each other, and for so long they’ve tried so hard to stay apart, but now that they gave in, it feels like they can never be separated again. “Soon.” Even in the darkness, Eddie can see the hungry look in Buck’s eyes, and he feels hot. He leans down to kiss Buck, who smiles into it.
“Not soon enough.” Eddie murmurs, one of his hands playing with the hem of Buck’s shirt.
“Definitely not on your parents’ couch, though.” Buck laughs quietly, and Eddie just leans in to kiss him once more, because he’s allowed to now.

My move has been taking a Hell of a lot longer than expected, so I think it's time I ought to get back into writing again. Take this sneak peek for HoH:DC, for having to wait~
-Held warm in his embrace, Janet gazed up at him with a softer expression. Delicately her fingertips sought out the rough planes of his face to carefully prod at the bags under his eyes with both of her thumbs; “Noo, you look like you haven’t slept a wink. I’ll take care of it. It’ll get my mind off of the mice…Er, mouse.” She shuddered then, a flicker of her earlier anxiety streaking across her face. “Just promise to watch my back in case it jumps out at me.”
Darren smiled gently and gave her a loving squeeze; “I can do tha-”
The nice domestic moment was quickly ripped away by the sound of screaming. Weirdly familiar screaming. Not close enough to be frightening, but near enough to be alarming. Janet jumped in Darren’s arms just as Riley shut the closet door, all three of them instantly going still to listen.
It was unmistakably female. And not only that, exactly like the screams that they had heard the other day and the night before..
Coming from the direction of the Caddies’ house.
Again?
When it finally stopped, the familial trio traded glances. His mom exhaled shakily; “This is the second morning that poor girl has screamed like that. Goodness, that scared the-” She jumped once more when the same screaming began again. This time it came higher-pitched and frantic. Her face hopped up to look at Darren with blatant concern.
“Good lord, she sounds like she’s being murdered!” It had only finished being expressed when the ominous sound of their neighbor expelling all the air from her lungs went silent. Riley couldn’t help but stare in the way of the neighboring home, as if he could see the house and its occupants if only he looked hard enough through the kitchen wall.
A scream in a nice, quiet suburban neighborhood was unsettling for a copious amount of reasons, but knowing that it was her screaming..
It unnerved him on a deeper, more personal level. A random scream was bad enough. It became a heck of a lot more insidious when you actually knew the person the screams were attached to.-
