I feel like I’ve seen way too many posts about how Shifty is way too unmoving and arrogant in her position during the final battle, even saying she’s dismissive, and guys guys– in the gentlest way possible:
That’s the entire point.
Conflict is in your nature, the both of you pushing and pulling against each other. If she was calm, and understanding, you’d both stay unmoving and unchanging, and that’s just not in your nature.
She pushes, so that you’ll push back, so that new avenues of experience can be born, so that the both of you can keep changing each other. Change doesn’t come without conflict and push back, so of course she’s going to push against you, that’s simply in her nature.
Shifting Mound is always going to be relentless, and the Long Quiet is the only one who can answer in kind and push against her. That’s just how their dance go. The question is on whether you want to join her on it as two beings too larger to be comprehensible to anyone but each other, or if you’d rather be something smaller but easier to comprehend.
There are no wrong choices. Only new beginnings, and fresh perspectives.
This is a love story.

Oh yeah, I absolutely 100% trust whatever this lad's about to say. That's the least shifty approach I've ever seen in my life. He barely even skulked.
Listen to him, Thor! I don't care what he's saying to you, it's definitely good advice whatever it is. See how he's leaning towards you in a completely un-conspiratorial manner, speaking quietly because he knows you're a sensitive type who gets nervous around loud noises. This is really good advice. You can tell because he looks so earnest.

You can safely ignore whatever he's saying now though, Thor. He's obviously got a bit intimidated by the success that lies ahead when you carry out this amazing plan that you've just come up with all by yourself after he suggested it.

I only have the one still but Ephemerides (they/them) is the missing third and Founding Overseer of the Observatorium.
Ephemerides has been missing since the Incident which left everyone in the Observatorium crystallised for four years. Their office was left in disarray, but with no hints as to what could have happened - whether Ephemerides caused the curse or not is even up for debate amongst those still around.
They have a, slightly shifty reputation, having amassed a hoard of treasure via the blackmarket selling of magical and rare artifcacts during their time in a prestigious arcane instute - before vanishing to travel the world before they could be discovered. They founded the Observatorium with this ill-gotten treasure, and it stands along the southern coast of the starwood strand, as a home for any who wants a place to study a niche to their hearts content.

Info on starting a store with Fourthwall
Admin Didi here, sorry if this sounds like an ad because it isn't, I just want to share how much I've enjoyed building our new store with Fourthwall! We were able to merge our print on demand shop with our shipped from home Junk Box store thanks to them. They also do digital downloads, tip jar, and they're beta testing a Patreon-style membership platform. They got twitch integration to gift people stuff over stream which really tempts me to start streaming some sort of shifty nonsense in the future so we can give stuff out.
