Salt & Straw’s new Summer Picnic Series is here and includes a Cinnamon & Honey Fried Chicken Ice Cream using Ezell’s Fried Chicken! 🍗🍦 I certainly didn’t anticipate actually getting a whole scoop of this, but after sampling the entire series this was my favorite (close second being Baked Brie & Fig Cheesecake). The base mostly made me think of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and the fried chicken was… acceptable? 😅 There is a mental hurdle of “why am I eating soggy fried chicken in my ice cream” but there were some good flavorful crispy bites in there too. Culinary Perfume Flight @imaginaryauthors x @saltandstraw These three scents smell phenomenal and are all EDIBLE. My current favorite is A Cloud of Cocoa. On my skin it made me smell like a nice cold glass of chocolate milk with a splash of booze. Food wise.. I’ve paired it with sparkling water. They’re made to pair with ice cream but since milk and I are no longer friends I need to find some other things to pair these with.
