Yes, I've been on a #lordoftherings binge. 😂In all seriousness though, the past 3 years have been incredibly hard, and I've found myself asking these questions and wrestling with these realizations. I've lost a husband to drugs, placed a daughter for adoption, broken my leg in 3 places, acquired a systemic autoimmune disease, had to leave two professions I've loved due to my health, lost friends due to my pain simply not being a fun or convenient thing for them to deal with, and recently struggled with the paralyzingly fear that comes with learning a parent has leukemia. It seems unfair, and it seems to never end. I've felt jaded, angry, indifferent, and I've struggled lately with severe depression and PTSD. But through all of this, I've learned that in my weakness, Gods love and grace IS sufficient. He is still good, and He is still trustworthy. No one chooses trauma, but they certainly are given choices in how to handle it. God has blessed me far more than I deserve with the most amazing family, a beautiful daughter and her loving family that has adopted my family and I into THEIR lives, (talk about amazing grace! I love them so dearly!), and a few friends that have helped carry my burdens and encouraged me along the way - people I could never have made it through without. I am so thankful. God continues to bless me with their love and His provision, and He is the only one that can get me through this trial of acceptance.
