So I was looking through the comments on the butterfly came home fic (runaway Mirabel) I am writing and someone asked about having Mirabel get amenisa via hitting head on rock and having them date and fall in love as she recovers her memory and while that is not my plan that idea of Mirabel via amenisa start dating Isabela who doesn't know this Mirabel is her sister and have them slowly find out is something i find interesting and has been stuck in my head.-RM

I know you don't like the trope, but if you enjoy allofasudden's work I know they have a fic going on with a depressed Mirabel. I haven't checked in on it for a while (stopped at chapter 10 because of school) From what I can tell she isn't su***dal but more so in the realm of s**f h*rm and negative thoughts. Then again that might've changed in future chapters.

A genuine question, not to be mean or anything but why are you recommending me a fic with a trope that I don't really like? I mean, it's kinda pointless, isn't it? lol

I follow Kai and their works, I read some of them but as I said, there are tropes I don't like and I won't read them even if they're written by someone I appreciate and like. But if someone is interested in @allofasudden00 works, then I recommend giving them a try because Kai writes very well and I believe people may enjoy all the stories, so... Hey, I love your replaced miracle au, what's the story? I wanna know why Mirabel left and how Pepa became the matriarch, as you'd think Julieta would be the new matriarch if something happened to Alma, are anyone else's roles or powers switched?

Oh I didn't know I got messages, sorry for the delay! 💦

First of all i appreciate a lot that you love this au! 🥺 And as for the story, it will be told with new posts regularly; Mirabel left to protect Antonio because she had a vision about casita breaking down and he was in the center of it, so in his ceremony she left to prevent Antonio from being shunned in the same way she was. (technically the roles have been swapped).

It is known that Julieta was the eldest and the one who should be in charge after Alma's death, but she ceded that position to her daughter Pepa because she saw her as more suitable to be the new authority, since unlike Julieta, who is a passive person and goes more for the emotional side, Pepa is rational, makes tough but fair decisions, and will follow the same steps as her mother regarding taking charge of the family, which means that the destiny of the Madrigals will remain on the same tragic path, and the miracle will die if they don´t fix the main problem before it's too late.

I think the fact that it is now Antonio who has to fix his relationship with his mother will make it more complicated and painful to watch because of the new terrain that will be explored too. (For example, the death of his father Felix)

And yep, all their roles/gifts will be switched, including 2 new characters :) Thank you for asking!

So trying again after thing got deleted last time and nothing to copy and paste from so here I go again. (Maybe it's a sign it's a bad idea) so I am taking part of a another fic's premise for the idea but not the whole thing. So the town hates Dolores for the whole knowing everything about them not helped by her seeming kinda creepy to the town due to knowing everything and being very bad at social interactions and reading social ques. They all in there 1900s mindset decide the solution to this issue is to have her married because any problem involving a woman is fixed with her being married to someone to control her. They go with there demands to family who are not to trilled with this marry her off or else but seeing as if they don't there a chance the townfolk will from an angry mod and kill Dolores they agree. Now seeing as poor socially awkward Dolores who doesn't know of this (or fully grasp the towns hatred of her they are probably writing everything instead of talking) would probably not do well in an arranged marriage with someone she hates agree to let her chose who she wants and they'll handle the rest. They assume she's probably gonna choose Mariano and tell Isa about this who "reluctantly" accepts that if Dolores wants him she'll let her have him they briefly float the idea Dolores will choose a woman and decide to see what they can do if that happens but they are all pretty confident that'll she'll choose Mariano. So they go inform Dolores of her plans and after she recovers from the shock confidently tells them she wants to marry Mirabel. They shocked ask if they sure she doesn't want Mariano but repeats that she'll marry Mirabel Isabela offers herself as a candidate instead of her sister but also get shot down Dolores will marry Mirabel or no one. This causes problems since no expected or planned for this Julieta doesn't want to even consider this but after a quick argument is forced to accept either this happens or Dolores gets murdered. So they tell her that she can marry Mirabel but Mirabel must agree to it they won't help her in anyway other than letting her court Mirabel and assuring Mirabel that Dolores is allowed to. Dolores excited at the chance to marry her dream girl goes to try and court Mirabel and fails bad since she is over over-enthusiastic freaking Mirabel out and bad social skills make Mirabel not want to deal with her. Later that day a tried and heart broken Dolores hears the town talking about if the plan would work and what they'd do if they had to marry Dolores giving her a clear idea of how much she's disliked this breaks her and she curls up into a ball and cries. Mirabel finds her and after a talk realizing how hard it is for Dolores and that the poor girl is bad with social interactions and so excited to have a chance that she was to werid decides to give Dolores another chance. This 2nd try works better and they date for a year till Dolores gets the lets a yes when she askes Mirabel to marry her. Now Encanto with thier 1900s attitudes probably don't see a marriage between an adult and a minor (16) who happen to be cousins as that big a deal the both women part is werid for them but it's the creepy Madrigal and the Broken Madrigal so who cares who they end up with. They get married and live happily ever after. -RM

the fact that this is from july 8th makes me feel so embarrassed aaaaaa i've really been neglecting my poor little inbox these past few months TT_TT blame that on uni.

but ahh yes dolores my baby, she's adorable, I want only love and happiness for her, also what a twist! I was totally expecting her to choose Isa instead but I like this version better, like aaaaa her getting overly excited and freaking Mira out because Mirabel is, surprisingly, the normie of the family. fantastic

Her little girlfriend sounds uncomfortably cute also I assume things like Isa's little girlfriend, Isa's baby girlfriend, Isa's kid girlfriend and others are what they have Mirabel as in their phones she doesn't know that.-RM

All of those nicknames have equal quantities of adorable and creepy to them, I love it. I also love the idea of them having her like that in their phones, like, let's say Isa needs to call her but she can't use her phone, and she sees that and just....... the most tired sigh ever...... lmao oh or their friends getting their hands on her phone and changing Mira's name to "little girlfriend" there, and then Isabela forgets to change it back, and now she has her sister like that, this poor hopeless sisc0n. Truth is that like... late at night, she'll stare at her sister's contact name in her phone and consider changing it, but she can never bring herself to do so, because seeing it stirs an odd feeling of warmth and giddiness that she can't let go of, no matter the guilt...

In the curse of Venus what if Isabela starts being mean to Mirabel because she cares for her like once she learns via Mirabel about the curse she is disgusted by everyone but thankful to Mirabel for being honest and always being with her and as Mirabel develops her own natural feelings she is terrified both on the prospect of Mirabel getting curse obsessed and doing things to her or the fact she is so starved for affection she might not resist and start hurting Mirabel since Mirabel is still younger than her and she could end up hurting her with Mirabel being to curse affected to try and get away. So she decides to start being mean to her since Mirabel is getting feelings later on and is less obsessed so maybe the curse hasn't fully affected her and Isabela thinks she can shake it off Mirabel by making Mirabel hate her so breaking her heart while doing it she starts acting mean to Mirabel to scare her away and make her hate her since better to have Mirabel the one person who showed her affection and love hate her as long as it keeps her safe in away returning the favor Mirabel did her. Or something else this is the terrible idea I had.

Ahhh I love the perspective of Isabela being the one possibly endangering other family members via the curse, because it's something of an unusual situation, right, because Dolores is pretty much her age, Luisa isn't that much younger + she's handling it relatively way by, uh *checks notes*... overworking herself so much she doesn't have time to think. huh. Telling Camilo to fuck off is easy, and once he learns the whole truth I think he'd be responsible enough to stay away, which leaves us with Mirabel and Antonio. I think that, in both cases, Isabela may be worried about hurting them - Antonio, in one hand, is so innocent and knows so little, that he's completely helpless to whatever the adults, Isabela included, decide to do with him, and Mirabel isn't as helpless, but she's still super young, and most importantly, Isabela has actual feelings for her. Could Mirabel consent to anything if she's under the effect of the curse? That's a question the adults never asked themselves, because they always assumed they would be the culprits should any crime occur, and Isabela would always be the victim... which leads us back to the idea of Isabela knowing people see her as safe and harmless when she thinks she's not :D

Well the end of runaway Mirabel is just pure fluff and happy endings. They get married go on a honeymoon to the beach which is the first time Isa has left Encanto and come back to start there lives together one probelm for Isa is seeing that everyone missed Mirabel and in some way blamed themselves for her running away and presumed death they are all trying to spend time with her which leaves rather little time for Isa to spend with her wife though she gets her all to herself at night eventually things calm down and she doesn't need to try and keep her family form taking her wife from her -RM

Ayy yess happy ending 😭 but yes the whole family is gonna be super clingy with her WHICH IS WHAT SHE DESERVES. UNENDING LOVE AND AFFECTION.

EDIT: though lmao Isa clinging to Mira like an angry kitten. You can't pry her off. Julieta will be like "-_- isa bby can i have my daughter now" and Isabela is like ">:( ño" HER WIFE NOW

So in my Mirabel runaway story (I haven't had time to write because school and work) I have thought alot about Mirabel and Isabela living as a regular Married couple like the family knows and is fine but the town doesn't know to them they are a married couple. I also wonder once Dolores and Mariano start having kids if and when they learn about it and when Lusia and Camilo get married when and how they tell their partners. But back to some dumb cute couple stuff Mirabel and Isabela sleep cuddled together with Mirabel often nuzzling into Isa's side on days where they can sleep in Isa tends to wake up early and often just watches her wonderful sister wife who had such a hard life sleep in peace with her. Isa wakes up early with Mirabel mostly to try in vane to get her to stay in bed and get a good bye kiss and Mirabel now grades students work at home at the kitchen table because she did it in there room once and Isa well distracted her in a way she wouldn't in public though she still trys to get Mirabel to focus on her. They are also considering adopting a child from a orphanage to be moms and give a child a home. -RM

So idea Isabela goes to Julieta and tells her that she is in love with Mirabel and she nows its wrong since she's her sister but she feels love towards her and thinks she is a terrible person. Since this isn't a whump thing Julieta comforts her daughter assures her she isn't a bad person and promises to help her deal with her feelings in healthy way being the great mom she is. Later I originally thought a few days later but now I think it's better the same day Mirabel goes up to Julieta and tells her the same thing to which Julieta is shocked horrified and wondering if she did something wrong as a mother but she acts the same way with Isa comforts Mirabel and promises help with her getting through this. Once Mirabel leaves she starts to wonder what to do since with this new information and to her horror a part of her thinks they'd be a good couple. Than Lusia comes in and she asks what happened with her wondering who Lusia is gonna say she's in love with turns out she just broke her thumb and Julieta is relived and than has to come up with an explanation yo Lusia why she was so relived with Luisa getting a broken thumb. -RM

poor luisa my baby 😭😭 ahh but yeah Julieta has been burdened with curse knowledge ahh god it must be so hard on her. She's there lying awake at night thinking about what she knows.

I can't see her actively encouraging her kids to be together, but I think knowing this early would help her come around when they finally start a relationship.

Mirabel is excitedly showing off her new swimsuit as Isa tries to avoid starring while her friends make a joke or two about how she doesn't want to look at her little girlfriend though they make these when Mirabel isn't around to hear. None of them notice Mirabel starring at Isabela in her swimsuit and how longingly she is looking at her big sisters body. Isabela to distract her self is flirting with a cute lifeguard which is going surprisingly well Mirabel is staring from a distance with a mix of desire for Isabela and jealousy due to this Lifeguard and is barely able to hide her dismay when Isabela comes back to the group with her number.-RM

Also, I'm sure Mirabel's swimsuit is perfectly appropriate and doesn't show more skin than any other swimsuit would, but I imagine Isabela's to be like, super sexy and skimpy. And it has Mirabel feeling a lot of things. Though it's adorably sad to imagine her realize Isabela got this lifeguard girl's number, and she's no longer paying attention to her... ;-;
