Assembly Elections 2023
Equations Of The Five States Few Days Before Elections?
Tumblr media
Political News In Hindi, There are not many days left in the voting process for the elections to be held in 5 states including Hindi heartland states. Voting will start from 7th of next month. About a month before the voting, the political parties release the list of candidates and the election campaign is at its peak, but this time all the five equations seem to be changing with each passing time. Out of the 5 electoral states, there is a direct fight between BJP and Congress in 3 big states, while in the remaining two states, there is a big fight between the regional parties of Congress. However, after the distribution of tickets among the political parties of all the five states, the fire of infighting has no longer remained internal but has reached the streets. After the party canceled the ticket, the game of defection has also started. In such a situation, let us know what the current equations of all the election states say and who is stronger than whom.
Dilemma Between Both The Parties In Rajasthan:
Rajasthan is the only state in India where the public changes its government every five years. At the beginning of this year, this trend seemed to be repeating again, but the infighting among BJP leaders, the anger of former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and the pro-people policies of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot have put Congress ahead. According to local and other election surveys, at the beginning of this year, BJP was reported to be ahead of Congress, the biggest reason for which was the open verbal attacks between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former Rajasthan Congress President Sachin Pilot.
Former Chief Minister Sachin Pilot had accused his own party's government of corruption several times in the last 5 years and had also gone on fast. Apart from the Gehlot-Pilot political tussle in the state, there were other big issues which had put the CM Gehlot-led government on the back foot, but where the opposition should have capitalized on these issues, they fought due to the ongoing opposition within their party. It seems to be coming out. The rift between Rajasthan BJP President Satish Punia, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia is well known. It is being said that while there is a tussle between two leaders in the Congress regarding the post of Chief Minister, on the other hand, there are 3-4 such leaders within Nahajapada who are now staking their claims in the Jan Sabha.
However, BJP was ignoring all these problems and giving competition to Congress, but the biggest increase in this problem happened when the news started coming that the BJP high command had appointed its senior most leader and former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia in the state after the 2018 defeat. Have since been ignored. Keeping all these incidents in mind, many surveys were conducted regarding the election results and are being conducted even today. Presently, the situation is such that despite the anti-Congress wave, it seems to be giving a tough fight to the BJP, which is being attributed to the lack of leadership in Rajasthan BJP and other life-benefiting schemes like Ashok Gehlot's dearness allowance and Chiranjeevi Yojana.
Chances Of Biggest Upset In Telangana:
Chief Minister KCR's Telangana Rashtra Samithi (now Bharat Rashtra Samithi) has formed the government in Telangana for two consecutive terms. Out of the total 119 assembly seats, KCR's TRS had established its dominance in Telangana by winning 63 in the 2014 elections and a spectacular 88 in the 2018 elections, but this time the elections can increase the problems for KCR and his entire party. After the landslide victory in 2018, allegations of corruption started being made against KCR, his daughter K Kavita and many MLAs, the effect of which was seen in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation election s held in the year 2020.
While TRS had won 99 seats out of 150 Municipal Corporation seats in 2016, in 2020, under the leadership of MP Bandi Sanjay, it won 44 seats, defeating TRS and the party led by its associate Asaduddin Owaisi. On the other hand, TRS had slipped from 99 to 56. BJP started establishing its roots in Telangana after the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. From 2014 to 2020, he had performed well in the Lok Sabha and Assembly, which seemed to indicate that the BJP is moving towards winning another southern state of South India after Karnataka in the 2023 Assembly, but in 2023, the BJP won in Karnataka. The shameful defeat changed everything for the BJP.
Due to opposition within the party against President Bandi Sanjay, Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy was made the party president, after which the BJP started moving towards its decline, of which the Congress took full advantage and, beating all the figures, led by State President Revanth Reddy. I is currently appearing ahead in all equations. Revanth Reddy and former Congress President Rahul Gandhi have held public meetings and presented themselves as a better and different option before the people of Telangana. At present, Congress seems to be far ahead of the other two parties in almost every opinion poll. The fight which was BJP vs TRS till a few months ago has now become TRS vs Congress.
MP Politics - Shivraj Mama Reduced The Fear Of Big Defeat In Madhya Pradesh:
It is said that Madhya Pradesh is a laboratory for BJP. From 2003 to 2018, BJP had one-sided rule in the central state but the defeat with minimum margin in 2018 changed the politics of BJP. A year after the defeat, BJP formed the government in March 2020 by including 22 MLAs including Jyotiraditya Scindia in the party, but the anti-BJP wave among the public had not ended. Till 6 months before the election date, there was a strong and historic victory under the leadership of former Chief Minister Kamal Nath. There were several protests against the BJP government in the last one year, there were allegations of corruption in examinations and increasing crimes against backward classes in the state. Almost every section had expressed their anger against BJP, in which some solutions were found but many were left disappointed. Seeing such a huge anti-incumbency against BJP, according to political pundits and different media surveys, BJP was seen lagging behind Congress by a huge margin, but 4-time Chief Minister of the state Shivraj Singh Chouhan played his ace and shocked everyone. The name of that ace was Laadli Brahmin Yojana which worked to benefit 50% of the voting class i.e. women in the elections and to calm the opposition wave. Apart from this, within the last 6 months, CM Shivraj also held many big public meetings in which he also met women directly. However, while Shivraj is making moves to save his government and society, Congress on the other hand is seen sleeping. Just as BJP proved unsuccessful in Rajasthan as opposition, similarly Congress proved unsuccessful in Madhya Pradesh. The faster the elections were approaching, the faster the Congress was deviating from its vision. Congress failed to capitalize on the biggest protest in the state, due to which BJP got a chance to make a comeback. Now the current situation is that according to political pundits and recent surveys, Congress is ahead but the margin seems to be the same as the 2018 election results.
Bhupesh Kaka Flame Will Remain Intact In Chhattisgarh:
In Chhattisgarh, which is the second stronghold of BJP in Central India, Congress had defeated the 15-year-old Raman Singh government in the last elections. From 2003 to 2018, BJP had won 3 elections but due to anti-incumbency against Chief Minister Raman Singh and other cabinet ministers, BJP had to face historic defeat. Of the total 90 seats in the assembly, Congress had won 71 seats. Even after five years, BJP is not in a position to recover from this shameful defeat handed by Congress. In the last five years, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has taken Chhattisgarh to new heights of development with his policies, due to which his image has been established as a better Chief Minister, the answer to which BJP has not been able to find till now. Although CM Bhupesh Baghel has launched many flagship schemes, there is one such scheme which has made him the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh for the second consecutive time that is Godhan Nyay Yojana, under which the government will buy cow dung from farmers and cattle rearers at the rate of Rs 2 per kg. After purchase, women self-help group members will convert the cow dung into vermicompost and other products. This scheme had opened new employment opportunities for the unemployed poor living in both rural and urban areas. Not only this, the Bhupesh Baghel government was successful to a great extent in the Naxalite violence that had been going on in the state for years. After Chhattisgarh 2018, Congress had defeated BJP in the 2021 civic elections also. Now the current situation is that even the BJP high command is not seen making much effort in Chhattisgarh and the Congress is moving towards a one-sided victory in the various surveys that are coming out continuously.
Difficulties May Increase For Zoramthanga:
Mizoram has been a bone of contention between the Mizo National Front and the Congress ever since it was separated from Assam state in 1972 and attained full statehood in 1987. In the 8 assembly elections held since 1987, both the parties have formed their government in Mizoram 4 times each. Congress was considered very strong in Mizoram till the 2018 assembly elections, but due to anti-incumbency against party president and 4-time Chief Minister PU Lal Thanhawla and Mizo National Front coming together with BJP-led alliance, Congress got only 40 seats in the 2018 elections. Got 5 seats. Mizo National Front chief and current Chief Minister Zoramthanga took oath as the Chief Minister for the third time. However, Zoramthanga's situation seems to be worsening in 2023.
The violence that has been going on in Manipur for the last 5 months has increased the distance between Zoramthanga and NDA. Zoramthanga had expressed strong opposition to the government over the Manipur violence and called for the NDA to be out. On the other hand, now the anti-incumbency against Zoramthanga is at its peak, Congress has now tried to take advantage of it, but in this the fight will not be 2 but 3, which makes the Mizoram elections more exciting. In 2017, former IPS officer and Congress MP Lalduhoma had founded a new party, Zoram Nationalist Party, to end the duopoly of Congress and MNF in Mizoram Assembly.
Political News - In the 2018 elections, Lalduhoma's3 party had secured the second position, defeating Congress Com. According to political pundits and surveys, no party is seen getting absolute majority in this election, but there is a big increase in the vote share and seats of Congress and Zoram Nationalist Party, which can increase the problems of Zoramthanga. .
The election bugle has been sounded and public meetings are being held with full enthusiasm by all the parties. This time, the elections of these five states will not only decide the condition and direction of the general elections to be held in 2024 but can also rejuvenate the future politics and many big leaders, which we will know on December 3.

Hiii, I've been following your blog since some time. And I've been very fascinated and impressed by your journey. I'm sure at this point you know hindi better than me (I'm not proud of this, I'll focus better on Hindi from now). And I've always had this question, I'm not sure if I asked you or if you have already answered it or not. But how did you start learning Hindi? Are you Indian or indian origin? And how has your journey been? Did you find difficulties? What was easy for you and what did you like/dislike about the culture as you continued learning the language? I'm very curious.
Hi and thank you so much for such a nice ask!
Here's my previous answer to how I got into Hindi in the first place.
In short, I am just a Finnish linguaphile with no connection to India or South Asia whatsoever. I have loved learning about different languages since childhood but Hindi (and Urdu on the side) has been my passion for the past six to seven years now.
I got into the language very typically through Hindi cinema but more than just the aesthetics I'm fascinated by the history, art, socio-political fabric, nature and just all of it. I love learning new things in general and there's always something new about Indian people or culture that draws my interest. Looking at things - whether political, religious or whatever - from a distance, I try to observe and form an understanding more than form opinions - it's not my place and all I have is endless respect for Indian people. I've never been to India but believe me I have long to-do and to-see lists when I eventually one day get to go there.
My language journey has been very enjoyable. I've done some online courses, had iTalki tutors, done some videos to practice pronunciation, made a huge Anki deck and done lots of reading, podcast listening and film watching. I was making great progress but my learning has been on somewhat hiatus since last autumn when I got a new job that took all my energy. Since January I've been writing a PhD thesis proposal that has taken all my spare time and my Hindi learning has diminished to scrolling Tumblr poems and listening to film songs while commuting. The passion is still there and I intend to return to my routines as soon as possible.
What I love most about Hindi as a language is the logic of it. It's - for me at least - very easy to 'get' Hindi, as in understanding the grammar rules - why things are the way they are. Hindi is a very learner-friendly language that way. A bigger issue is the immense vocabulary and understanding of the historical and cultural roots around borrowing sounds and words from Sanskrit, Persian and other languages - how they play together and how they do not etc. When learning Hindi you are never just learning Hindi!
I had some trouble learning Devanagari at first and learning to differentiate all the sounds (and produce them from my mouth). It took time, but one day they clicked. I'm not perfect and there's a lot of room for improvement but seeing the progress I've made is very encouraging and helps me keep on learning. Learning Nastaliq and Naskh is another story - and another journey altogether!

Hello can you write some headcannons where dazai from bsd has a Indian wife thank you
Hello thank you for this request anon. I really appreciate it. So here are some headcannons for dazai with an Indian wife.
Masterlist
Dazai's Indian wife
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Being his wife is going to a job itself. As much as he loves you he is a pain to look after
He will definitely be like learning Hindi and has heard a lot of scolding from you as well in it. Since he annoys you to death
Like if your newly married they you have like the whole Chuda and like the maganl sutra and all. He absolutely adores that.
If you're vegetarian he will take special care for you food yk since many people in India are vegetarian including me. So if that is the case there will be non veg in the house. So if he ever does eats he just eats outside.
As much ad bad he is at cooking he will try to learn how to cook some basic common dishes in India. Like Parathas and all. Cause u force him too
There will be mixed cuisines in your household. Yk like if you know how to cook and like it aswell then you would make like Japanese dishes but with a Indian touch like how our mother makes foreign food with Indian touch.
Dazai has ate every Indian dish you could make or have learned to make and appreciates you in every single one.
In your house Hindi music is compulsory like if your like music then in your house there will be light music all over the house.
At time you two dance to the beats and giggle at each other's silly moves.
There will be times like if Dazai comes home from the agency with like injuries (which is one a regular basis) you scold him every time. If he has a bigger injury like there is too much blood then you might as well scold him in Hindi.
You have made him try Chai. And after marrying you its become a normal habit of drinking tea with you in the morning.
He has learnt Hindi quite well and after some time he can also speak Hindi.
At first he had a terrible accent but it improved from time to time.
If you like reading Hindi books poetries then their will be a like reading sessions with dazai where you just both cuddle and you just read some books to him answering his every little question.
If you work at the agency then there will be like both of you are just talking casually in Hindi and Atsushi is like'wtf are they speaking?'
And if you have interest in history and politics like I do oh boy there will always be like those types of discussions in you household. Like you telling him something new about both Japan and India from mythology to history to civics everything is in the debate here.
Cuddling him to sleep is a mustttt cause it just feels so nice that you are giving your all to him. Listening to his voice just making your night as you kissed ever inch of his beautiful face.
Dazai on the other hand is just grateful to have some this caring. Some to talk to who just understands his very being. He would just be the sweetest.
He just loves everthing about you and tries his best every time. He wants to protect the very person who makes it a little more easier abd enjoyed to live from his miserable life. Who makes how makes him understand humans a little better.
If he comes late and finds you like asleep he would like cover you in you blanket like wrapping you nicely and cuddle you.
He would appreciate you everytime.
There is no doubt he does his suicide techniques abd always asks you on a lovers suicide and even whines after you say no.
He might be a little harsh sometimes yk like in early stage due to yk mafia thing but don't be mad at him he is quite the puzzle to solve so be patient with him.
There is not a single day complete if he hasn't pranked you or put your stuff away. He annoys you to death and teases you for it aswell.
He just enjoyed watching you get angry. Like the one time you were parking your car(cause he is not a good driver who even gave him a driving license)
"Sala kisne sikhaya hai in gadho go gadi laga b@&%&#₹@." You yelled as dazai just looked at you in amusement.
There was also this one time a girl was a little too close and dazai being dazai this mf asked her for a double suicide when you just went up to her like asked her to go since it was like the time for the agency but she won't buzz off. And you yelled.
"Ek ulte hat kar mara na toh tere plastic surgeon ko bhi surgery ki zaroorat pad jayegi. Bhag ya se!" And then she just looked at you weirdly when you just said like to buzz off in Japanese. While dazai is just watching the show rooting for you.
I feel like dazai might just be the kinda guy who would randomly dim the living room lights and turn on some classic romantic song and invite you to slow dance in the living room in your pyjamas at like ten at night and you just. waltz around with him for a while.
Between you and dazai there are both happy, comical and sad moments.
In sad moments if dazai is feeling low it's like a 6th sense to you by now. You always give him space if he wants to talk about it. If he doesn't you don't mind but just give him company like kissing him and like showing that you love him in every possible way. Which is also visa versa
In the end you are a happy married couple who is just as chaotic as much as both of you are cute.
Ps dazai is also scared from your ears twists when you scold him way to hard. He belives that you are even scarier than kunikida when you are truly mad.

BIOGRAPHY
Deepti was born in a loving family back in busy Dehli. Her father Zahir, took over the reins of his family restaurant that he ran with his wife, Jiya. Her parents were barely in their twenties when Deepti was born, bringing much joy and happiness to their family, which only grew from that point. Deepti is able to say she counts four siblings, which made for a crowded and very crowded household. In Dehli, Deepti remembers having been the most happy. Looking back fondly to the festivals, the temples she visited with her family. The community and way of life was one she thought she would never have to miss. But when she was sixteen, Deepti’s parents decided to move out of the country for political reasons, and she had to say goodbye to her dear Dehli.
They settled down in Providence Peak, Colorado. A place that barely resembled her old neighbourhood, her own home. Her father had made enough with his restaurant that they were able to settle in a house large enough for the seven of them, even starting a new restaurant within the town’s center: the House of Dehlicasies, a name chosen by her brother who always did love a good pun. Having to finish ‘high school’ in the USA was strange to say the least, and after discussion between her parents and the school she, along with her other siblings, would have to redo a whole year to acclimatize to their new surroundings. Deepti didn’t mind, feeling rather overwhelmed by everything and everyone. Having to survive in the American system definitely hardened Deepti, who along with her siblings were often the target for bullying due to their accents, the fact they had their father’s homemade cooking to school and the fact they weren’t as sharp to American customs and sayings as their peers were. Going to college, Deepti definitely adjusted, standing her ground and not letting anything drag her down. She didn’t have a lot of friends but the few she did create are ones to last a lifetime.
Deepti graduated college in a degree for business and management, always having been great with schedules and numbers. She worked for numerous of companies through her life; ranging from law firms to an accountant firm and even for the government at some point, which is where she met Lewis Negan, a gallant officer in the U.S. Army who swept Deepti off her feet. Out of the flings and short relationships she had, she never pictured herself to be able to fall as hard as this. It didn’t take them long to get engaged, getting him as far as to want to settle in Providence Peak so she could be close with her family, which was a good call.
Her mother began to forget things, and not in a way where she couldn’t find her keys or mixed up the names of her children, but important chunks of information. When the twitching in her hand started, Zahir took her to the hospital where she was diagnosed with Huntington’s disease. This being an inherited disorder, Zahir and Jiya brought their children up to speed as soon as possible, leaving it to each of them to get tested or not. Deepti decided to do so, and was faced with the horrible truth that she was indeed a carrier of the mutation, meaning that she would start showing symptoms between 35 and 55 years old. Being thirty-four, Deepti felt her clock had begun to ran out at a rapid pace. She hoped for the support of her Lewis, but not being able to deal with the idea of having to take care of his wife at an early age, Lewis decided to end their engagement and left Providence Peak.
For the last year, Deepti has put her energy into renovating her home that she now inhabits alone. She’s also quit her job so that she can help her father run the restaurant and is working there fulltime so he can spend time with his wife. Deepti has definitely become bitter about the newfound information of her health and the inevitable ending of her life. Why make memories when in the end she will forget them after after all? With her 35th birthday coming closer, Deepti definitely feels like she is spiraling.

✧ FAMILY ✧
Father: Kiran Rohan Parsons [deceased, 1854-1897]
Tumblr media
Kiran was born in 1854 in Dublin, Ireland to George and Sonia Parsons. He was their only surviving child as his younger sister passed away as an infant. George and Sonia weren’t the wealthiest, but they had a stable wealth which allowed them to have a few luxuries. Unfortunately, in 1870, when Kiran was sixteen, his mother contracted typhoid fever from her workplace. It miraculously missed Kiran and George. Sonia’s fatal case of typhoid fever would be the first of three diseases to define Kiran’s life.
The next illness came just three years later, when Kiran was nineteen. His father was diagnosed with cancer. Kiran paid a substantial sum for a surgery to remove the cancer. Unfortunately, like many surgeries of the time, it was quite unhygienic and George Parsons passed away from surgical complications. With little money left after his father’s death, Kiran decided to take a position on a merchant’s ship that was to sail west to the Americas and then east to Asia.
When Kiran was 24, his ship landed in a port city in India. Purely by accident, Kiran stumbled upon his future wife, Priya. He fell hard and fast, quickly offering to buy her a bauble or sweet. Five months later, Kiran and Priya were married. They spent their first six months of marriage learning about one another. The next eighteen months were defined by Kiran’s attempts to find a new shipping job that required less travel and their struggles to have a much desired child.
At the age of 27, Kiran’s eldest daughter was born five weeks prematurely on January 31, 1881. Kiran and Priya christened her Georgiana Reva Parsons, in honor of Kiran’s late father. Shortly after that, Kiran nicknamed his daughter “Georgie” and it stuck. Two years later, at the age of 29, Kiran’s youngest daughter was born on September 13, 1883. Kiran adored his daughters, and his wife. He worked hard to provide for his family, but always made sure to dedicate time to spend with his daughters.
The third and final disease to marr Kiran’s life was tuberculosis. In the summer of 1885, his wife was diagnosed with consumption. Her remaining two years were stressful, but Kiran kept an optimistic face, even as things were starting to fail. Eventually, his wife passed away and Kiran was devastated. Ten months after Priya’s death, Kiran moved his daughters back to Dublin. He threw himself into his work, often at the expense of spending time with his daughters as he refused to fully accept his wife’s death. He left his daughters to fend for themselves, with the exception of the governess he hired for them.
In April of 1897, when he was 43, Kiran was involved in a fatal shipyard accident. He died of an infection two days after the accident.
Prior to her mother’s passing, Georgie was quite close with her father. She really looked up to him. Sadly, their relationship began to disappear after her mother’s death as Kiran began spending more and more time at work. Georgie loved her father fiercely, though. It was a love that lasted up until, and beyond the day that  he died.
Faceclaim: Himesh Patel
Mother: Priya Nishet Parsons [deceased, 1857-1888]
Tumblr media
Priya was born in India in 1857 to Navin and Madeline Carter as their only daughter. She had a stable childhood and knew what her parents expected of her, even after they died suddenly in an accident. However, it was that event that led Priya to meeting her future husband, Kiran Parsons, when she was 21. They married five months after their first meeting.
On January 31, 1881, when she was 24, Priya's eldest daughter was born five weeks prematurely. Those first few months with Georgie were quite stressful, as Priya and Kiran were always on edge with the fear of losing their new daughter. Thankfully, they grew more comfortable with their daughter and two years later, on September 13, 1883, Priya's younger daughter, Divya, was born. Priya adored both her daughters and wished for more children, but was told that it would be unsafe by a midwife. Therefore, she doted on her two daughters, lavishing them with love.
Sadly, Priya was diagnosed with consumption in 1885. She tried her best to fight the disease, even trying a TB sanatorium for six months. After determining that the sanatorium wasn’t very helpful, Priya spent the remainder of her life at home in quarantine in a separate building. She communicated with her daughters through the windows and doors, while her husband visited once a week. Eventually, though, Priya succumbed to consumption in 1888.
Georgie was close to her mother and held mostly good memories of her mother, even during her illness. She loved her mother and Priya never forgot to remind her daughters how much she loved them. After her mother’s death, Georgie tried her best to emulate her mother to the best of her abilities. Priya was Georgie's version of the perfect mother.

Born on September 13, 1883, Divya is the second daughter of Kiran and Priya Parsons, two years younger than Georgie, and a Hufflepuff. Georgie is very close with her little sister. However, she does take on a bit of a parental role with Divya, especially after the death of their mother. Georgie gets along quite well with Divya and they rarely fight. However, when they do fight, it can get quite nasty and bad.

Georgie has a good relationship with her eldest son. In many ways, Gio is probably the child that takes after her the most, personality wise. This does cause some friction between mother and son, but they have a good relationship. Georgie is very proud of Gio and tries to support him in everything that he does. She loves him very much and wants to see him succeed and be the best version of himself.

Daughter: Reva Kamilah Rovere-Parsons
Hufflepuff | Prefect | Heterosexual | b. February 25, 1916
Georgie has a good relationship with her daughter, and they are, perhaps, a little closer than Georgie and her sons. Reva takes after her father more in personality, but has Georgie’s desire to take the world by storm and show them what she can do. Georgie is very proud of her daughter and tries her best to support Reva in everything that she does. She loves her daughter dearly.

✧ HISTORY & BACKGROUND ✧
Place of Birth: A port city on the Western coast of India
Hometown: A modern townhouse in Dublin where Georgie, her sister, and her father moved after the death of her mother
Childhood:
Georgiana Reva Parsons was born five weeks early, on January 31, 1881 to Kiran and Priya Parsons. Due to this, the doctor believed that Georgie would not survive as she struggled to breathe in those first hours of life. However, a midwife with her own knowledge of childbirth and infants believed otherwise and her parents credited that midwife with saving Georgie’s life.
The following two years were uneventful but Kiran and Priya were quite protective of their elder daughter and her health. Then, on September 13, 1883, Divya Kamilah Parsons was born. Given that Divya was born without any complications, Kiran and Priya relaxed a little and their lives fell into a routine.
However, that routine ended when Georgie was six and her mother was diagnosed with consumption, or tuberculosis. This meant that Priya spent her remaining two years in quarantine to avoid infecting her beloved daughters and husband and even spent six months in a TB sanatorium. Her daughters kept contact by shouting to her through the windows.
In the wee hours of the morning as a thunderstorm raged, Georgie snuck out of her bedroom to see her mother. The pale, thin, consumption-ravaged figure would haunt her for the rest of her life. However, it wasn’t until a DADA lesson on boggarts that she truly remembered the horror of that figure. Sadly, Priya Parsons passed away in 1888, when her daughter was seven.
Her father was devastated, but buried his grief and sank into his work. Unfortunately, this left Georgie and Divya alone and they grew self-sufficient. Then, ten months after their mother’s death, Miran decided it was time to move back to his home city of Dublin. He had better career opportunities there, all of which offered more money and he took a job there in an attempt to escape the crushing hand of grief. They moved there when Georgie was eight.
As a gift, her father allowed her and Divya to adopted a pet. Georgie chose a corgi puppy, whom she named Bertie. Aside from that, nothing major happened during her childhood in Dublin. Her father immersed himself in his work, often leaving the girls in the care of a governess. However, Georgie took on a maternal role towards her sister and also took on a lot of the household roles normally held by a wife. She became very self-sufficient and tried not to rely on anyone else.
On her eleventh birthday, Georgie received her Hogwarts letters.
Hogwarts Years:
Upon arriving at Hogwarts, Georgie was sorted into Gryffindor. At Hogwarts, she made good friends, temporarily joined the house quidditch team, and became a prefect.
In the April of her fifth year, Georgie’s father was killed in a fatal shipyard accident. Stunned and numb, Georgie pushed aside more of her own emotions and began to deal with her new responsibilities. During that summer break, Georgie took on a job as a seamstress for a local dressmaker. The job didn’t pay much and it was very demanding. However, Georgie was determined to ensure that she and Divya were not kicked out of their home until they were ready. She kept that seamstress job until she graduated from Hogwarts and got a job as a clerk in a law office.
Adulthood:
After graduating from Hogwarts and quitting her seamstress job, Georgie was employed as a clerk at the Law Office of Baxter, Bones, and Livingston. She clerked for eight years before convincing her bosses that she should become an apprentice and work towards becoming a lawyer. At the age of 30, she finally achieved her goal of becoming a lawyer and barrister. She argued many cases, although she would only be remembered for three cases. Nevertheless Georgie was one of the first women to successfully succeed in the field of law.
In addition, Georgie married Angelo Della Rovere at the age of 26. Together, they had three children. Their eldest son, Giovanni Deangelo “Gio” Rovere-Parsons was born on March 7, 1909 with their second son, Enzo Roy Rovere-Parsons being born three years later, on November 13, 1912. Their youngest child and only daughter, Reva Kamilah Parsons was born on February 25, 1916.
Old Age:
At the age of 73, Georgie retired from her long and successful career as a lawyer and barrister, although her career would only be remembered for three extraordinary cases. She spent the next forty years doing some advocate work.
Death:
In 1994, Georgiana Reva Parsons passed away at the age of 113. She died painlessly in her sleep. She lived a long and fulfilling life.

Favorite Season: Autumn
Dislikes: Bullies ; rakes ; meat pies ; lightning ; thunder ; quidditch
Trivia:
Georgie was named after her paternal grandfather, George Parsons.
Georgie’s beloved corgi, Bertie, was supposed to be a show dog. However, he got sick as a puppy and then, he was considered unsuitable to show.
During her time at Hogwarts, Georgie played in one quidditch game. She promptly discovered that she hated and quit the team the next day. Luckily, she was only a reserve chaser.
In her first year, Georgie attempted to smuggle Divya into Hogwarts. Her father found Divya before the train could depart from the station and Georgie was quietly reprimanded.
Georgie doesn’t let the world or the era she lives in dictate who she is. When she decided to become a lawyer, she put her all into it and even though it took many years and setbacks, she never gave up. She doesn’t mind that she’s hardly remembered by history. She knows what she achieved and so does her family.

Challenges faced by UPSC aspirants
In India having a government job guarantees you the utmost prestige in your family. And it is truly justified as government exams are one of the hardest exams to crack. It needs:
High level of self-discipline
Great resilience power
Years of hard work
Good general awareness
A zeal to contribute towards the nation
Let us see what are the various challenges an UPSC aspirant faces while preparing for the exam.
Getting started: UPSC is no child’s play. There are so many options and so many things to take care of. Where to start, when to start and how to start? So many questions pop in mind at once. Some students spend a lot of time in planning, procrastinating it. While others do not plan enough and thus get confused on later stage.
Before taking a long dive in the ocean called UPSC, students should give a fair enough time to planning on how they going to start preparing. They should make a road map covering important factors like:
How early should they start preparing? The time needed for preparation varies person to person. It depends on everyone’s level of experience and situations. Every aspirant should firstly evaluate their current level of knowledge.
Will they be taking coaching? There are a lot of coaching options available nowadays, both online and offline. One should give it a great thought about which mode would be best for them as both have its own pros and cons.
2.Increasing competition: With significant rise in awareness and access to facilities, number of aspirants have been increasing day by day.  Reportedly, the count of students who apply for a UPSC exam has rose from 3 lakhs (approximately) to 11 lakhs (approximately) while the number of vacancies stands at a total of 1105. This increases competition.
3.Loads of Syllabus: UPSC exam tests your knowledge about every subject possible. It tests your knowledge about History, Geography, Economics, Political state of the country, Mathematics and much more. It becomes hectic to complete all on time.
It will require you to adapt a holistic approach and revise everything for at least 2 times.
4. Facing Family and societal pressure: As soon as people get to know that someone is preparing for UPSC exam, it automatically raises their expectations of that person. It does earn you a lot of respect but with that respect also comes a lot of pressure. Pressure of cracking the UPSC exam.
At times like this even motivating words can feel very overwhelming. Students should only focus on their plan and work towards achieving it. They should focus on doing better than yesterday.
One of the biggest challenges that a student faces is non availability of books in the market. An UPSC aspirant already has so many things to take care of so I have found an app that will take care of all your book related needs.

★ Why did Salman Khan act in ‘Godfather’ without hearing the script and what’s Nayanthara like? Chiranjeevi tells all!
When was the last time that Bollywood superstar Salman Khan agreed to be a part of a film without hearing a word about the movie’s script or his role? Now before the snarky voice in us ridicules him about doing just that for his career’s spectacular misfires, here’s what we learned from Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi who convinced the Bollywood superstar to dip his feet into South India with ‘Godfather’. The Telugu re-make of the Malayalam blockbuster led by Mohanlal and directed by Prithviraj is out in UAE cinemas now.
“Salman bhai is a fantastic human being and a lovely person. And when this suggestion to request him to play the character of Masoom Bhai cropped up, it just took one phone call. Without even listening to any details about the story or the character, he gave a nod,” said Chiranjeevi in an e-mail interview with Gulf News. Apparently, the goodwill that Khan had for this matinee idol played a huge catalyst in Khan making his career’s first South Indian debut.
“From the time the idea was discussed, he was onboard within 20 minutes. Such is his love for me and Charan [Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi’s son] . I am very grateful to him for showing so much affection. While shooting we had great fun too,” said Chiranjeevi.
The gamble where Khan flew in blind paid off. ‘Godfather’ – not to be confused with the iconic Hollywood gangster epic – has raked in millions at the box-office worldwide. Reports claim the movie has swiftly entered the revered Rs1billion club since its release last Friday. 'Godfather' is a political thriller that kicks off when a patriarch of a well-connected family dies suddenly and a vacuum is left behind by the patriarch. The power games form the spine of this film.
Salman Khan plays a vital role in this film. What was your equation with him like and what was your take away from working with him?
Salman bhai [bro in Hindi] is a fantastic human being and a lovely person. And when this suggestion to request him to play the character of Masoom Bhai cropped up, it just took one phone call. Without even listening to any details about the story or the character, he gave a nod. From the time the idea was discussed, he was onboard within 20 minutes. Such is his love for me and Charan. I am very grateful to him for showing so much affection. While shooting we had great fun.
South Indian films are doing extremely well at the box-office, while Bollywood is not doing so well. Since you have acted in both industries, what are your thoughts on this development? While it is true that South Indian films are drawing audiences in large numbers, it is also true that not every South Indian film is a success. Likewise not every Bollywood film is a flop. There have been several hits in Bollywood in recent times. We must know that it is always the function of good content to bring in viewers and not about which region the film is coming from. We must move beyond the regional tags. And we must acknowledge that from now on there is only Indian Cinema now and not Bollywood, Tollywood or Mollywood.I

Gestures I've learned from Hindi films
Learning a language involves so much more than just learning grammar and vocabulary - it includes non-verbal communication and gestures, which we know make up for a whole chunk of human interaction, especially if you are a learner and sometimes at a loss for words. Here are some of the gestures I hadn't really seen before I started watching Hindi films, but pretty soon I noticed they are very meaningful and sometimes speak more than words alone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Greetings
It didn't take long for me to notice that there seem to be two distinct and common hand gestures for greetings, the namaste-gesture being perhaps more universal of the two. It signals a polite welcome or greeting. It has also been described to hold a meaning along the lines of "the sacred in me recognizes the sacred in you" [source].
Above Madhuri Ji is showing another greeting called adab or aadab, which can be accompanied by the phrase आदाब अर्ज़ है when greeting and ख़ुदा हाफ़िज़ when parting.
Tumblr media
Touching feet
In many films, we can see younger people touching their elder's feet, or as above a wife attempting to touch her husband's feet. This is an Indian custom to show respect. In response, the person touching the feet receives आशीर्वाद, a blessing, when the elder touches their head.
Tumblr media
Nazar na lage
This gesture wasn't that self-evident to me at first. It's usually shown when seeing a beautiful person or a precious moment and the person making the gesture is attempting to protect that sight or person from the evil eye - sort of what the English-speaking world uses the phrase 'knock on wood' for.
Tumblr media
Pakka
Pinching one's throat with thumb and forefinger and saying पक्का indicates the same, as when in the Western world we would show up two or three fingers as in "Scout's honour" - swearing that what we're saying is true.
Tumblr media
Sorry
Pulling down one's earlobes with both hands is a gesture of genuine apology. There are several explanations for this that I've seen but one that I found perhaps most plausible, is that it's apparently linked to a known embarrassing punishment where a wrongdoer is asked to do squats while holding their earlobes, and touching one's ears indicates that the person is so sorry that they would even be ready to accept such a punishment. Pinky finger
Oh this was a fun one the first couple of times I saw it and I had to guess its meaning just from the film context alone. Showing one's pinky finger indicates that the person needs to use the bathroom urgently. Some sources I found say it's used in real-life situations mostly by children and it's not quite common or the most polite gesture among adult peers.

Beckoning
This beckoning gesture with the palm facing downwards was completely new to me as well but makes so much sense that I have actually adopted this one in my daily life. So whereas usually in Europe and in the Western world the 'come here'-gesture is made with the palm facing upwards, in India and in many places in Asia that gesture is considered very rude and only suitable for dogs if even them. My natives around me may think I'm silly beckoning my children this way but at least I'm not being unintentionally rude to anyone in the process.

Appreciation
Forming a circle by touching the tips of the thumb and index finger seems to be the Indian equivalent of thumbs-up - it's shown when something, like food, is very good and recommended.
Or just like Hindi films - very educational, much recommended!
