Was mutually commiserating with @mysticismmess about what crap luck we've had with our health, and realized just how much nonsense I've actually been through since December.
⟹ Caught Norovirus halfway through Hannukah in December.
⟹⟹ Recovered, then immediately caught a minor Flu or something; this was, like, literally the softest illness I've had to deal with. I barely noticed it comparatively.
⟹⟹⟹ Recovered, then caught Covid immediately after Christmas.
⟹⟹⟹⟹ Recovered, but wound up with the damned post-Covid Rebound Migraine issue all over again (just like last time I caught Covid).
⟹⟹⟹⟹⟹ Recovered, then wound up in the ER at the very end of January / very beginning of February for a combination of Lower Back Strain and Piriformis Syndrome.
This is absolute nonsense! Like, completely bonkers!

Oh Hi. I’m just hanging out in my sewing room trying to stretch my tight sore limbs. I am doing way too much sitting at work. My butt is not happy. Think I may have Piriformis syndrome. Very uncomfortable. On a happier note my cycle home tonight was done in full on sunshine. Amazing oh and a tail wind. Anyway thanks for popping by. Lovely to see you. Call in again soon.

today was squats and grocery shopping.
finally more improvement with my shoulder, was able to squat a normal(ish) working weight with no lasting pain!
unfortunately my piriformis is still having issues so i have a lot of sciatic pain this evening. i’m going to focus more on really warming up, massaging using a tennis ball, doing banded clamshells, and nerve flossing to help fix the issue.
db benchpress felt great, still pushing 45s and hitting my rep range with no issues.
got pho with my workout buddies after the lift and hit trader joe’s to stock up on my favorite proteins 😍 and get some basics for the upcoming week :) good day overall!

Imagine a persistent pain in your buttocks that radiates down the back of your leg, causing discomfort and hindering your daily activities. This is a common scenario for individuals experiencing piriformis syndrome. Piriformis syndrome is a neuromuscular condition that occurs when the piriformis muscle, located in the buttocks, irritates or compresses the sciatic nerve.

I got to go out and see the sun today 😭 We just did adulting things like picking up my Meds, getting a few things from WalMart, grabbing Vape Juice for my Husband, etc. But I walked! It was hell, and I am in so much pain now, but I walked!
I walked the whole time around Homeland, and around WalMart, and I went into the Vape Shop with him (I was hoping to get some CBD Oil at the Vape Shop, but no dice. They don't carry it anymore 😞). For lunch we just went through the drive through so I could have some rest finally.
Now I'm going to eat my Burger King, take a bath, and then do a massive amount of TENS / EMS / MA therapy on my leg. And with any luck, the walking I did today will help somewhat as much (though hopefully just as much) as it did last time, on Wednesday 🤞

Last year around this time I found fucking carpet beetles, so had to call bug exterminators and was paranoid af for months.
This year my lower back's killing me with piriformis syndrome. I can't sit and while standing doesn't make me cry anymore it's still painful af.
Wonder what the fuck will happen between '24-'25 New Year? I'll break a fucking leg or end up poisoned?

oops I definitely have piriformis syndrome..
at least now I have a solution to my issues. my tailbone has hurt during split squats for a long time and now with new sciatic pain I’m pretty sure the piriformis are to blame. going to start working it into my warmup and stretching and hope to see an improvement. my weak AF hips don’t help either.. (working on that too, there’s just only so much time to address things and do rehab in a day lol. gotta pick and choose my battles. I swear it’s like I’m playing whack a mole with my body 😂)

so fun update from getting paid to allow my coworkers to view and touch my ass. I may have ehlers danlos, most likely have rheumatoid arthritis, and DEFINITELY have piriformis syndrome. In other words, I am EXTREMELY bendy, my joints are fucked, and a muscle in my butt has been compressing a nerve that goes into my spine for the past three years at minimum. if it's ehlers danlos that explains a lot more than expected (possibly including the heart condition and nearsightedness), but I'm starting physical therapy and since I'm allowing myself to be a guinea pig for therapists who see primarily elderly patients due to this being a retirement community, I get to do it on the clock. I got dry needled plus a TENS unit and some stretches and strength exercises today, which has left me sore but feeling immediately better. I was able to lift a heavy bag AND vacuum the entire clinic with a really heavy vacuum with only a mild twinge of pain at the very tail end of the day. This is probably all stuff nobody cares about but knowing that I haven't been making shit up, that there's really a problem, that it's something that can be fixed or worked around and can improve, is just... it's a lot. It's really, really good.
