It has been driving him nuts for the past few attempts. No matter what type of guideline he tries to get you to follow, it always seems to come back and bite him in the ass! In all honesty, if he didn't love you like he does now, you would've been killed off at the first sign of insubordination. That...and the fact that you are a total wack-job. He's not surprised with your current insanity, since you did work with dissonance before your eventual erosion into madness, but you still seem to have some form of understanding about your surroundings and the world. Even himself! Since you tend to recognize him through your maddened-influenced haze. Yet, despite this, you always take the opportunity to get under his skin. Knowingly leveraging his feelings for you to get away with something or to work around his guidelines. It's one of the most bothersome things about you. Oh...but everything else he can't help but adore. Your insane cackle...your remorseless ferocity...your disregard for orders...and when you come back to the Nexus Tower covered in the blood of your adversaries, Phobos finds himself swooning for you all over again. He can't help the warmth that fills his being when when sees you tear apart a victim and slather their blood all over the room you're in. You're a heartthrob in his eye and that's what makes you so special to him. He would even argue that you became BETTER once you became afflicted with insanity. You just seem so much more lively and alluring than you did before and he can't help himself but to wonder why. Any grunt worth their salt in his tower knows better than to talk about sending you to the asylum. The last grunt that suggested such an idea was violently beheaded by the Director himself. Hm. Maybe you and him weren't so different after all. He would be a top tier hypocrite if he didn't admit that he was no longer following the orders of the employer's charter, as he too was defying orders. So maybe that's why he finds you endearing, even when you defy his orders. You both are just merely defying those around you and you both seem to have your own sense of judgement and insanity. That just makes Phobos fall for you even harder. You both are pretty much the same brand of horrible grunts. And Phobos loves it more than anything.

The game itself was interesting because the rules were the deployment zones were split to the table corners with two per player with it alternating so I had bottom left and top right corner. You would designate one as alpha and the other omega, then when deploying the unit you roll a d6 (1-3 alpha, 4-6 omega).

So for deployment, PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING WAS PUT ON ALPHA WITH GUILLIMAN ON OMEGA ALONE WITH SUPPRESSORS

luckily I had some units with infiltrate that I put on the side of guilliman to help him out a bit.

Meanwhile my friend had a good balance of units on each zone . ..

On turn 1 I ended up going first , which is what I wanted. I made the destroyers with dmg 6 my oath of moment target and ended up wiping it and the void dragon as my second oath target.

On his turn 1 he did some damage on my dread (6 wounds taken) and he moved his ctan void dragon and I overwatched the kratos and did 5 damage on him. And the void dragon did some damage on my ass. termies and I removed them in a way that made his charge a 12’ charge which he failed. On the other side he moved his warriors closer to guilliman.

On turn 2 I moved up more units to the objective near the alpha deployment zone for me. And had the void dragon killed through a bit of shooting and the void dragon exploded , which killed his doomsday ark and destroyed my dreadnought ;;

On the other side I went into the assault doctrine to advance and charge guilliman and the infiltrators and librarian into the warrior blob. I made the charge and spent a command point for precision on guilliman to kill the overlord. I used the emperors sword (14 a, 8, -2, 2) and ~11 attacks went through and 1 deb wound.

..THE OVERLORD SURVIVED !!

He has a 4+ invuln, 4+ fnp, 6 wounds and for 1 com point he can come back to life after being killed 💀💀

(Guilliman and the warrior/overlord were tied in combat for 4 turns in total lmaoo)

By turn 3 we were trading units, with him taking more losses than me but in points it was going 9 for me and 17 for him. It was so over for me, or rather I thought it was lost.

However on turn 4 THINGS TURNED

At this point I was able to move most of my units from alpha deployment into 3 objectives and guilliman and his group killing enough to out compete the warrior oc for that obj. So in primaries I scored max and in secondaries I got investigate signals and assassinate, AND I SCORED MAX FOR THAT TOO BRINGING ME UP 30 POINTS

at that point it was going like 43 to 31 in my favor with him having less and less units on objs.

We stopped at the top of turn 5 with me having units on 4 in of the 5 objs, the overlord finally dying , and him having only 2 units left. It was a pretty fun game that I couldn’t have guessed to have ended with me winning pretty good at the start with it going like 60-something to 30-something in my favor.

I typically play black templar with heavy emphasis on melee so it was diff playing primarily shooting and using librarians for once loll.

Madness Combat Wings of Fire AU

This is just saying what tribes I’d think they’d be- nothing too complex yet.

Hank- (Unknown) Nobody really knows what they are anymore, being covered in bandages and scars and black cloth. Pretty big, probably due to their age. Whatever they are, they’re still the deadliest dragon in Nevada.

Sanford- (Mudwing) A very large dark brown Mudwing hatched from a blood-red egg. His specialty is still explosives (Dragonflame cactus) and melee combat, with a little bit of knowledge on healing. He used to be the bigwings of his group, but due to unfortunate events, he’s no longer with them. However, some of his bigwing instincts can be seen when he’s with his teammates.

Deimos- (Skywing) A smallish rusty orange colored skywing. Slender but still muscular. Prefers to blast enemies with fire from a distance. He always looks a little dirty, but that’s just his scale color. Mostly.

Doc- (Icewing) A grey icewing that used to be a member of the AAHW. The scars on his cheeks are a constant reminder of his Dissension. Absolutely not a doctor, but still acts like the medic of the group. Wears a large jacket to keep his cold inside.

Jeb- (Nightwing) A purplish-black nightwing with a sleek body, formerly a head scientist for project nexus, now the self-proclaimed savior of Nevada. He’s got seer powers, though not too strong. Thanks to the animus-touched keystone fragment, he’s got all the powers of his regular grunt self.

Tricky/Hofnarr- (Seawing) The short, dark green, timid eccentric genius animus dragon who is a head scientist of project nexus- or at least, what’s left of him. Not only has he been zombified, but he’s (seemingly) been driven mad by his own powers. He roams around Nevada, without a care in the world, doing whatever he wants, with nobody to stop him.

Sheriff- (Sandwing) A cowardly pale sandwing with a black diamond pattern going down his scales. Despite his cowardly nature, he does a good job being the leader of MERC and all the dragons in it. He’s not afraid to nick you with his stinger, though.

Crackpot- (Rainwing) Although constantly shifting colors, his default colors are usually green and dark yellow/orange. He tends to have a lot of emotions at the same time very quickly, leading to some… unusual and slightly unpleasant colors to look at. He’s tall but scrawny and slightly unkempt looking. Of course, being one of the head scientists for project nexus doesn’t leave much time for sun time. Maybe that’s why he’s so unbearable all the time.

Phobos- (Nightwing) A very big and powerful jet-black nightwing, hatched beneath a blood moon. He’s adorned with jewelry and a flowing majestic cape, and is missing an eye. Cunning, charismatic and cruel, he rules over the city with an iron fist (or rather, talon). Definitely has the ego of a nightwing.

Church- (Seawing) A very big muscular dark blue Seawing, with large spines. Based off an electric eel. They still have the stitches and scars of a G0L3M, as well as having all the electrical weapons as their grunt counterpart.

Jorge- (Mudwing) A greenish-brown Mudwing that’s a little smaller than Church. He’s an unsib but seems to treat Church like a Mudwing would their sibs after getting paired up. Despite not being a bigwings, he’s still massive due to being a G0L3M.

Victor- (Skywing) A slender red Skywing with a short snout. A former chef turned mercenary living in the Nevada desert. He’s a little skittish but is a reliable fighter in claw-to-claw combat, especially aerial combat.

Chopper Dave- (Sky/Nightwing) A slightly short and chubby Skywing-Nightwing hybrid, with the big wings of a Skywing but snout of a Nightwing with reddish-brown scales with black splotches scattered across his body as well as some scars from previous accidents. Carries a lot of Nightwing mannerisms (besides the ego) but isn’t very adept at combat, but is an excellent flier. Totally won’t crash into anything.

Q-Bert- (Sandwing) A big pale gold Sandwing with dark specks covering his scales. He’s a merchant who settled into SQ for the money. He’s fairly bulky and scarred, but they’re old scars.

Skinner- (Rainwing) A large pale Rainwing G0L3M that works as a doctor for SQ. Everybody loves him.

6. The Ice Age franchise, similar to the Shrek and Madagascar franchises, seems to be way more popular and liked in Poland than in the USA. While the general sentiment in the US is that the first one is somewhat of an underrated classic and the best and every single one got only worse and worse. Meanwhile, in Poland, its sequels are held in much higher regard. Yet again, it's thanks to the funnier dialogue and much better voice actors. Sid became an iconic character just like Donkey from Shrek or King Julian from Madagascar, most likely thanks to the fantastic work of Cezary Pazura, an actor and voice actor who makes everything he's in so much better. Piotr Fronczewski as Diego is also great with his warm fatherly voice he sounds way more sincere. If Diego had the same voice in the English version he would have even more simps fans. Wojciech Malajkat is great as Manfred. He would later voice Puss in Boots from Shrek. As the franchise went on not only the quality of writing went downhill but also they started casting celebrities instead of the real VAs or even regular actors. Queen Latifah, Drake who was in like 5 minutes of a movie.

7. Winx Club is way better in Polish, in my opinion. I don't know if it's because their VAs aren't actual teenagers who don't have as much experience, or if they're adults trying to sound like teens and failing miserably, or if their voices are just that annoying. Whatever the case might be the Polish actors strike a great balance between sounding mature but youthful at the same time. Like teens that are on their way to becoming adults but still with some childish tendencies. Not a twelve-year-old trying to sound grown-up or a 40-something-year -old trying way too hard to be cool and hip with the kids. And Polish versions of the songs are amazing.

8. Totally Spies makes their heroins sound way more mature just like Winx Club. To not repeat myself let me tell you about something different, the dialogue changes. It's not censorship or completely changing the meaning of the dialogue but the vocabulary. In the show, they are very much Valley girls. In the Polish version, they still use slang that was (and still is) used in Poland at the time but they also were capable of using big words. Maybe English slang is more annoying, at least to me.

9. W.I.T.C.H. BLAH BLAH better and more mature voices BLAH BLAH better and funnier dialogue BLAH BLAH. What is worth mentioning are the voices of the male characters. Caleb's English VA doesn't fit him whatsoever. I know Greg Cipes sounds like that even as an adult but still. If Caleb looked like his comic version he would be fine but not when he looks like he is 18 or older. Imagine my shock after growing up with the Polish deep manly voices only to watch the English version and hear boys who haven't finished going through puberty yet. I've heard that the Polish language is sometimes referred to as snake language because of the ć, ś, ź, ż, sz, cz, and many other sounds, so Cedric's VA has a time to shine. English Phobos sounds more whiny than menacing.

10. Shark Tale is regarded as one of the worst animated movies ever both in terms of animation and the story. Highly exaggerated in my opinion. I mean it's not great but it's not Food Fight, Video Brinquedo, Animated Titanic, and many others. I think why it's not as hated by me and many other Poles it's thanks to its dubbing. I don't know if you know this, but there is a Polish comedy ''Kiler''. The whole plot of the movie is that the main character is mistaken for a killer. So, the Polish dubbing of Shark Tale is basically a parody of this movie. They even got Cezary Pazura (the guy playing Sid) who played the main guy in ''Kiler''. Instead of gay-lisped Jack Black we have Jarosław Boberek aka King Julian. Now that's a team-up better than the Avengers.

It was a surprisingly hard list to make, not because there are no great Polish dubbings but because there are so many good ones. Any movie or show could've been on the list. To make it easier I asked myself ''What Polish dubbings are better than the original?'' and ''What dubbings had the biggest impact on me but also on my country as a whole?''.

The reason why most of the list consists of shows and movies from the early 2000s is because that's when Poland had a little golden age. There were a bunch of great movies and shows coming out, so it was easy to strike gold. (And that's when I was born.) Now with all the trash coming out, it's way harder to do. The translators for ''Wish'' tried their best to fix those broken lyrics.

But nobody's perfect. I'm a firm believer that there is no terrible Polish dubbing but they still can make mistakes, questionable decisions, and voices that will make you switch the channel until they stop talking.

I join a few episodes after Artemis does. And I end up being close to her (my whole idea is the team does a secret Santa event every year and she got me so she hangs out with me to see what I like and we start to genuinely become friends.) Most of the team is iffy about me because my mom is a villain especially Wally (it totally has nothing to with our enemies to lovers arc). I also see Kaldur being the most neutral because he gives the whole 'strong leader can see from both sides. I have mostly made sketches of my suit. Also I use bing ai for some solely because I sometimes need the inspo but I only use it for drs! So I have my usually mission suit and my goddess arcane form I use because I also like to be op.

I have always loved air! I feel like it matches my vibe so well too! I have read the comic and watch the show and I personally prefer the show I just like the vibe. Also these have different styles cause I was experimenting with my art style.

I can hear the sound of something dripping, something sequential, with the same time interval, again and again... It sounds like the sound of a poorly closed tap, but there is no sink around.

In fact, there is nothing around me, literally nothing. I try to look around, looking for where the supposed drops are coming from, but it's pure pitch, total darkness, a complete lack of light. I feel swallowed by void, I feel like my body isn't mine, like this is a first-person game.

When I slowly turn around and look behind myself, I see where the drip is coming from. Not just one, but more and more drops, falling and hitting the floor, making an agonizing sound of dripping water. Water that clearly looks like dirty slime, or at least that's what I'd bet it would be if I wasn't already aware. Black ink dripping from all of them, running down their faces, dripping from their hands...

Hakan, Edward, Bariki, Corvi, Ajay, Axel, Nicolay, Phobos, Lewis... Even Will, Mal and Grim are part of the huge group of students with monsters made of pure ink behind them, and I feel it. I can feel the pain and reason behind their worst fears and the situations they were exposed to... until they reached this point. My heart hurts, squeezes, breaks, crumples... It's like I'm about to have a panic attack, but my breathing is completely perfect, and I don't feel my hands shaking.

Actually, I can't feel my hands... When I look at myself, I can see nothing but the same ink starting to drip from me. I don't understand... This shouldn't happen. This shouldn't happen to me. I'm not from here, so why...? I didn't do anything wrong. I tried my best. I did my best. So why...?

I don't feel my movements, my limbs, just excruciating pain inside something I don't even know if I can call a body. I'm scared... I wish I could wake up at once...

In fanfiction, I often see people pointing out that if only the Escanor siblings grew up together, there wouldn’t be a great conflict between them such as both in the comics and the series. Here is my AU for the series verse about Escanor siblings growing and ruling together as a result of Elyon's kidnapping being prevented (multiple times).

(Important note: Phobos doesn't kill Weira and Zayden; instead, it is Nerissa’s doing)

So, having prevented Elyon's kidnapping attempt by Aliborn and Miriadel after Weira and Zayden’s deaths, Phobos and Cedric would influence her whole world view by simply being there all the way throughout the future queen’s childhood. Despite Phobos initially hating and planning to get rid of his baby sister by any means possible, she would live along with him, saved by Cedric talking sense into the prince in the moment of his weakness right after their parents’ passing. Cedric's reasoning being that the Heart’s death would damage their world and set the vulnerable civilians and nobles against the prince would be enough to allow Elyon to live and grow to be a ruler… along with her brother. Raised with no clear role models aside from her older brother (with Weira and Zayden being hated by both Phobos and Cedric), Elyon would make a manipulative individual constantly passing as her brother’s nicer opposite (which, considering his snappish and sociopathic tendencies, would not be too hard at first) even wearing light colored dresses to his dark colored robes. Despite being favored by nobles and other metamoorians for both being a girl and a pretty naive-looking princess, Elyon would pronounce Phobos as King the day of her coronation as Queen.

In terms of this AU, I see the royal siblings’ dynamic as borderline codependent. After preventing kidnapping attempts, looking like assasination attempts in the times of civil war being caused by Weira’s murder, Phobos would eventually grow attached to his baby sister. Her only family, he would make a possessive kind of older brother, seeing Elyon as this creature he deeply cares about because she belongs to him and him only, a spit to his late mother’s face.

That being said, together the two form an absolute magical powerhouse with Phobos’ ambitions to conquer the universe and Elyon being the Heart of Meridian and, seemingly, a sweetheart, when in reality she is just as ambitious as her brother.

I’m contemplating whether or not Kandrakar’s Veil would be raised AFTER Elyon and Phobos’ coronation and their conquests of other worlds. An idea of Phobos conquering Kandrakar first has its fleur because that would grant him the Heart of Kandrakar and, in turn, not only make him powerful but also give the new King a pretty pair of wings. I like imagining the series Phobos with wings as well as his tattoos of horns, making him a little more… evolved.

Introverted and extremely knowledgeable of magical theory, idealist Phobos would be the strategist while more extroverted Elyon with her enormous magical power would make a tactician and a diplomat if that makes sense.

(Btw they would totally use vocatives such as “my dear/sweet/kind (sarcastically) sister” and “my dear/wise/kind (equally sarcastically) brother” for each other)

Also, since Phobos would be the one selecting those allowed to interact with his sister, she would totally have Miranda for an advisor and best (aside from Phobos himself and Cedric) friend. Both cunning and witty, they would cause mayhem; in the castle (before Elyon becoming the queen) and on the battlefield (after).

As a side note, part of Phobos’ heritage to Elyon is being gay. In terms of this AU, Elyon/Miranda is just a tiny bit healthier than Phobos/Cedric.

Aesthetically speaking, a quarrel between the Escanor siblings would look like black and white roses, created by their magic around the two, trying to push down one another.

Oh, and the throne room with two thrones is divided into two sections: all gothic and black and all gothic and white. I'm not sure what their castle looks like yet.

Bonus:

(Phobos is bad with both words of encouragement and feelings so occasionally, during Elyon’s childhood, he makes flower crowns for her to show that he likes her)

And, lastly, an amazing comforting life hack Elyon learned very early: tell a distressed person to imagine a world clear of all irritating creatures and blinding sunlight and, instead, full of flowers of the best color ever. Black, that is. Also, the flowers have thorns and are dangerous. This is the ultimate xanadu lol

Headcanons for what the Aditor, Phobos, Tricky, and Sheriff would do if they’re kid was in danger? (Before the kid has powers- they’re completely defenseless. Maybe it would happen while the parents were distracted/preoccupied and some sudden disaster happens?)

Auditor: - This scenario would probably happen at one of the AAHW bases if it ever got raided by Hank Wimbleton. - His instinct would be to locate his child. Search on every camera feed, question agents, and remember through his memory on who they were with last. Once his child has been found, the Auditor goes on a full sprint to get there as quick as possible. - Their child would most likely be with Torture, who would put his life on the line to protect the little employer, and that would be where he finds them. Hiding nearby while Torture is chasing down and trying to deal with Hank. - The employer would waste no time in grabbing his child and sinking into the ground with them to get them to safety. Once the child is safe, Audi goes into full protective dad mode and will go to take care of Hank personally for getting too close to his child. - Fire flies, swords clash, and a smoldering hatred burns in the employers eyes for the dissenter that continues to break Nevada, the realm that his child would grow up to rule, into more and more fractures. He will give everything to make sure that his child has a world to grow up in. Even if it means killing Hank with his bare hands. Phobos: - Should any emergency occur, the Director is instantly abandoning his position and going to where he knows his child is. - If any rouge or unwanted individuals are present in the private sector of the science tower, he will slay them with his sword without question. Even if they are allies. Wrong place, wrong time. Simple. - If he does arrive into the room where his child is and finds unwanted/non-guard entities in there, he won't hesitate to defend his baby. He'll rip and tear until the interlopers are no more and his youngling is safe once again. - Until the danger passes, the child will spend the entire time wrapped up in his coat and cape, as close to their father as they can be. Where Phobos knows they will certainly be the safest. Tricky: - You would have to be incredibly stupid or incredibly brave to try and go into Tricky's territory while he has little babies that need protecting. - The father is vicious and relentless. If you aren't his mate, you'll pretty much be killed on sight. No bandit, zed, or even defenseless passerby are safe from his non-discriminatory wrath. - Don't even THINK you can sneak up on him or his younglings. He has an improbability drive and the corrupted brain of a brilliant scientist in his head. He WILL know and he WILL kill you. - AFTER he's done killing you, he's definitely going to feed your body to his little babies to 'get some use out of you'. Sheriff: - Sheriff almost becomes a totally different person when his baby is put in danger. The cowardly cowboy that most grunts know that he is disappears and a raging pissed off Texan is forced into it's place. - Shoot now, talk later mentality. If a zed outbreak happens in his sector where his child is present, he won't stop until he personally deals with every last bootlicker that crawls up from the ground. - His change in personality is...shocking to his men. It's like there's something powerful that's lurking around in his body and it only comes out when his baby is threatened. - His kills even get more vicious, with saws, crowbars, ANYTHING he can get his hands on becoming a lethal weapon. The scene of Sheriff panting while covered in zed blood is an image that is now burned into the minds of all members of MERC. - He only begins to calm down once his kid is safely in his arms and is being carried to a new location where it's safer for them. Like a storm over a Texan desert, it's powerful and terrifying...but eventually passes. Leaving a trail of destruction in it's wake.

I love how Icy really spits the words "Daphne had to spoil everything" in the German dub. Like "Ughh your goddamn stupid sis had to SPOIL everything! Ehhm hello?? how DARE she?" and i am too... yeah, how dare she!

imagine, how interesting winx could have been if the ancestral witches had won the battle of Domino. The whole dimension would have been under their rule. And maybe some rebels would turn against them. But the witches knew, they had to find the source of power - bloom and get her back to get all of her powers. sounds familiar? Well, that's basically what W.i.t.c.h. did. 🤣

But just imagine! The company of light could have played a way bigger role! And the Trix would have been raised to be heirs to the ancestral witches and might have wanted to overthrow them at some point. And then there was the race against time between good and evil who would find bloom first. And when we're already talking about W.i.t.c.h. - a group of young fairies find her first by accident - they later form the Winx. And they become friends but they don't tell Bloom anything to not put her in danger and then the ancestral witches find her and, like Phobos and Cedric did with Elyon, convince her, that her friends betrayed her.... yeah forget it, that would totally be the W.i.t.c.h. plot. 😂

Vampyria (first cycle) - Victor Dixen

I discovered Victor Dixen's work through his saga "Phobos" a few years ago. I liked it then but didn't follow his work until now. Going through the fantasy section of my trustworthy local bookshop, I fell upon the first three books of his new series: Vampyria.

I was curious, looking for good french authors, to see if there were writers that would suit my taste.

Once again, Dixen didn't disappoint me: he surpassed my expectations. And now I'm stuck while waiting for the new cycle of the series, so I will talk to you about the first one.

🩸 So what is Vampyria? 🩸

Have you ever imagined how the world would have been if supernatural, magic, and creatures existed? Vampyria did.

You are immersed into a dark world, stuck for 300 years in the 16th century. Louis XIV (yes, the Sun King himself), was turned into a vampire on the verge of death and decided to rule the entire world, and reshape society, nobility, and religion.

The world, now called "Magna Vampyria", is oppressing humans, who pay the tithe by donating blood. They live in the fear of the night, now unable to leave their village due to the enclosing law. Every member of the high nobility was turned into a vampire and is the one who receives the blood of the humans as well as the new church. You follow the adventures of Jeanne, a young grey-haired woman, who wants to kill the king after the assassination of her parents. And I can safely say, that she takes all the necessary measures to try to achieve her goal.

If you love fantasy, with a little bit of romance, a lot of drama, and vampires, you'll surely like these books.

🩸 My own, totally not vampiric, review 🩸

I didn't expect to like it at first. It took me a few pages to enter into the story, but it's always like this when I read Dixen's books. I'm not into vampires and was never truly a fan of them. But (and that's a big but), this series might have changed my mind about vampire literature.

This series works with "cycles" of books, and a cycle is the story told through the eyes of one character.

Even though the vampires are supposed to be enemies, I fell in love with the way they were described. They have their own rules as a society, with their codes, and their traditions... reading this book was like seeing a twisted version of the french court that we know and I loved it. More generally, it's like seeing a twisted version of french history, with the shadow of the Revolution behind every sentence.

I think that Dixen is doing a great job at piquing the interest of the reader. The more you advance the story, the more the plot thickens. His characters are all different, with their own mindsets and personalities and I always love to see a cast of characters that are not all lookalikes.

And, oh my god, the end (that serves as an introduction for the next cycle) is absolutely wonderful. It took me so off-guard that I had to reread it because I was too baffled to just go on.

So if you like vampires, history, and pirates (yes, pirates) you must give these books a shot.

🩸 Do I recommend these books? 🩸

Victor Dixen's style can be a hit or miss depending on the person. But for me, it was a massive hit, especially due to the world-building and the thrill of adventure and danger.

So, if you know Dixen's work: go ahead and have fun I recommend it. If you don't know Dixen's work: if you love fantasy and adventures you should totally give it a shot!

4. A character you rarely talk about?

I’m going to use this opportunity to talk about my latest OC who I’ve literally never talked about other than a single sketch I dropped. He has no official name yet (I’ve been calling him Monty lmao) but he’s a Pthumerian that came to Yharnam as part of the excursions into the underground labyrinths. He came willingly and with ease, following the scholars and prospectors who were of course eager to learn about him. His reasoning? Boredom and curiosity, essentially. He’s always been the inquisitive sort of person and loves to learn. What better way to do that than willingly reach the surface? Unfortunately, this doesn’t go too well for him and he ends up half-naked chasing innocent citizens around with a sack- the total opposite of his initial reason for his excursion. He was happy until he wasn’t. Damn the Church and Mensis! Poor Monty.

His sister is also a Bell Ringing Lady and they don’t get on too well, and he wasn’t too keen when she decided to follow suit and leave with him. However, he does care for her and tried to persuade her so stay behind. Of course, the Pthumerians were ‘encouraged’ to go with the tomb prospectors so they didn’t really have much of a choice in the matter.

His worst trait? Pretending that he doesn’t understand the Yharnam language so he doesn’t have to talk to people if he’s not in the mood. On the contrary, he speaks and understands the language fluently. I pity the scholars that tried to speak to him on a bad day lmao

9. Would you ever be willing to give any of your OCs to someone else?

Unfortunately, no. I’ve been in fandom for far too long and seen so many bastardisations of characters and I wouldn’t like my OCs to suffer the same fate. However, I am a sucker for plotting stuff with mutuals etc. and I think that’s the best way

11. Is there any OC of yours you could describe as a "sunshine"?

Honestly, the only one I could describe as a ‘sunshine’ is Aoife. She’s literally just a total ray of sunshine with mostly everyone that she meets and is definitely the glue that holds the band of Cleanrots together. She does have her murderous traits of course but they don’t hold any malice behind them; she does her job, and she does it efficiently. Outside of that? The loveliest person ever.

12. Name an OC that isn't yours but who you like a lot

Okay I can’t just name a single OC, I need to appreciate my mutuals’ 10/10 OCs properly.

I love your character Elizabeth and I’m extremely excited to see how her story develops in Stolen but mostly in Scarlet Butterflies, of course. She just seems like such a good person and the type of individual you’d love to be your friend.

@smoughenthusiast ‘s OC Felix is a dickhead but I can’t help but love the lad. He is indeed a murderous cleric but it’s impossible to despise him. I also adore Mathilda and her ways. I support her wholeheartedly 🙏❤️

@gehrmansbignaturals ‘s OC Phobos is also amazing and I love her lore and interactions with the world that she’s in. Her design is also lovely and her relationships with characters are so intricate and well developed.

29. Which one of your OCs would go investigate an abandoned house at night without telling anyone they're going?

Oh god, probably all of them for different reasons. Freyja is naturally curious and also prefers to travel alone if she can so she’d definitely disappear during the night, explore for a bit and then return as if nothing happened. If he was interested, Phulgrax would stroll into the abandoned house with full confidence and zero regard for any spirits that are potentially haunting the property. He has absolutely zero fear and just assumes that he’s stronger than literally everything. Braith is sly about it, and would only go if there was something inside that she wanted. Treasure for her to sell would be the easiest way, and of course she must travel at night and not tell anyone lest she gets in trouble. Out of my Gilded Rot crew, definitely Bastian or Lithrion. They’re both exceptionally gifted in the art of stealth and you probably wouldn’t even notice that they’re gone. Bastien is curious and enjoys exploring whereas Lithrion would be looking for potential dangers that could be lurking inside.

30. Which one of your OCs would most likely have a secret stuffed animal collection?

I think the only characters I could see with stuffed animal toys would be Aoife and potentially Finlay (her childhood runebear teddy of course). However, Braith absolutely has taxidermy animals scattered around her living quarters so I guess that also counts… as morbid as it is.

I do also think my Pthumerian took a liking to a soft toy sheep in the window of a toy shop in Yharnam and took it with him because of it. He’s totally unaware of it being an odd thing for a 9 foot tall man to keep but he adores it nonetheless.

Sheriff: Whelp, I gotta say, this one's a lil' overkill, even for me. I s'pose we could rig it up t' one of the walls, add to our anti-air defense. Choppers ain't gonna wanna come 'round here when they get lit up by chaingun fire.

Auditor: I will have to fabricate munitions for this later. For now, it will go into my personal collection. The Agency values your contribution to our cause.

Phobos: Ah, the minigun. One of my favorite creations in dealing high amounts of death very quickly. Very few things in Nevada can withstand such sheer volume of fire.

Second layer of Hofnarr Headcanon Hell, lets fockin goooo

-His tastes in well… everything- is either kawaii as fuck or extremely cursed, no in between. Yes he owns a longfurby. He has a clown keychain with his car keys. He puts stickers on his laptop.

-If he isn’t driving a Nexus Core issued jeep, his personal vehicle is a comically large truck with flames painted on it. He has to sit on a stack of phone books to drive it, and use extenders to reach the pedals. The truck was not made to be driven my G03lms or MAGs. He’s just very short.

-He is 4’5 tall and has mastered the heavy metal scream. Imagine that sound coming from this little marshmallow. You’re welcome.

-He can fit his whole fist in his mouth and lick his elbow. Despite being really round, he’s terrifyingly flexible.

-Sometimes he pulls pranks on Phobos. In these cases the entire science tower will be able to hear phobos scream "HOOOOOFFFNAAAARRRR" like right out of alvin and the chipmunks episode. Some science tower employees even place bets on when it will happen.

-He wears light up socks!! Totally not inspired by Spencer from iCarly. /s. it was totally inspired by Spencer from iCarly

-Have you seen a random cat walking around the science tower? That’s probably because of Hofnarr. He is a cat lady and refuses to confine them.

-No but you don’t understand, he’s literally a cat lady. If you magnified him, he would grow exactly 5 inches. Because of the cat ears he’ll get. Yeah he just stays the same size otherwise.

-Of course he has beans and purrs! All grunts can do that because they have cat DNA. But Hofnarr has a little extra, which results in the occasional meow and running on all fours to get places quicker. The latter is a trait that remains in Tricky. (I mean, look at what he does in MPN2 playground mode)

-His beans are a very pale desaturated shade of pink, with darker pink scarring. He also has beans on his peets! Which only manifests in about half of all grunts.

-Hofnarr is leucistic! He has a big white spot that covers his belly and chest, he also has socks that go up to his mid-shins. Most grunts don’t get markings like actual cats, but this mf is a tuxedo cat.

-He’s not a fluffy grunt in the normal sense, but the extra cat dna made his skin take on a velvety, almost flocked feeling texture. So he quite literally feels like a squishmallow!

-The most noticeable catlike trait he lacks is his balance. It’s bad! Cats always land on their feet, huh? Nah, this one lands on his face.

-Expanding on this, his balance is terrible to the point where most of the head scientist work he does is actually computer stuff. Mf needs to sit, you can knock him over by tapping him on the shoulder too suddenly.

-His teeth are not super catlike. The bottom is like a regular human’s, but the top set has three fangs on each side.

Shame

Being reduced to some mutant beast, was not something he saw coming in his life. But here he was. From a maniac, feared by everyone, reduced to prey, in a 'cage' and shock collar...

Who knew trusting Doc would lead to this? No one could predict he worked for Auditor and Phobos, no less. But there was something off about him either way. Maybe if he voiced his concerns and this, maybe, none of this would've happened

But, there's no rewinding time, is there? Now, he's this stupid wolf hybrid. He's only alive because Auditor enjoys seeing him suffer. Wasn't breaking him mentally, as much as those experiments broke him, wasn't enough? Driving him to states, where he can only cry, and destroy? Potentially even himself? Well. He did ripped off his arm once

As the memory of that returns, he looks at, whatever left of his left arm. There's barely anything left. And his right arm is in no better shape either. Mutated, spiked

He just sighs, leaning against the cold wall behind him

Such a shame he was reduced to this, monstrosity. Such a shame. He could always escape situations like this. But now, he's just a trapped dog, which... Isn't much of a metaphor anyway. From what he remembers wolfs and dogs belong to the same family. And he is a wolf hybrid. Irony of it all

Ironically, the only thing keeping him sane was probably his tail, that somehow mutated to point of it actually getting conscious, although of his younger self. It was... More animalistic acting than he is, but it was somewhat comforting. At least he wasn't fully isolated. And his tail could keep him in check of potential, uncontrollable aggression or panic attack

But still a shame, that he's bound to exist like this. Like his life and all those deaths he experienced before wasn't enough. The universe just keeps torturing him further. Breaking him to dust. Such shame, such irony, that now, thoughts of this just want to make him cry. To tear his own heart out, to rip his veins to shreads. Never he wanted to die so badly as he does now

He's just a joke now. A shameful joke. Excuse of a life, and a total nothing in comparison to his old self. The self that could actually do something, who never cared, never feared, never felt anything. But now. He's the opposite of it all. Weak, scared, broken. Cornered prey no less. But how a wolf, a predator can become prey?

Maybe he just let himself become it. Blind trust in Nevada is two edged sword. On one side, you can get yourself an actual ally, on another a backstabber that's will ruin your life to shreds. That's what 2B did to him, to Deimos, to Sanford too. To lots of people too

They're all now, just hybrids that kept alive for their captors amusement. Being tortured through those "experiments". Most of them just left to slowly die, as their body deforms, turning fully animalistic, killing and shredding them from inside out. It's a question of time until this death will reach Hank too. And he'll never realise when it'll start, once it does
