how do you think koko and inui’s wedding would be?
(i know same-sex marriage isn’t legal in japan, but there is alternatives such as getting married in another country, plus, im a big sucker for fluff headcanons hehehe)
@ur-local-weird-person
Yeah, unfortunately at the moment same sex couples in Japan can’t get married, there are only partnership certificates in some prefectures that aren’t really legally recognized anywhere tho, even if it seems that topic is at least discussed, so maybe in future same sex marriages will be recognized ,hopefully.
Anyway let’s assume they somehow manage to organize a wedding.
As you said, they could opt for a celebration oversea, (I have no idea how bureaucracy works in that sense, but let’s say it’s possibile/they find a way lol)
In the final TL I guess it could be relatively easy to organize a party abroad, (they rich af lol) so I guess it would be a nice party in a beautiful location, maybe the same place where they plan to spend the honeymoon. Of course they offer the trip to their close friends/families and to some important business partner.
Koko is still somehow reckless with money but Inupi would supervise everything lol, so they organize a beautiful party, but not exaggerate nor tacky.
They could also decide to celebrate in Japan their same sex partnership, so it would be easier for everyone to partecipate and then gettin married abroad with only the legal part of the thing, having already celebrated together with friends/family/business partners in Japan
If they celebrate in Japan, I like to think Akane would be very involved in the organization (she could be a wedding planner, for what we know 😌) so of course she’d be happy to help Seishu and Hajime for their wedding 💒
They’ve been together their all life, no one, neither friends nor family was really surprised when they came out, and celebrating their live is a natural consequence of their relationship. (I have conflicting headcanons about work, especially for Koko, bc Shin would of course be happy and supportive of Seishu, but while it’s true Koko is the owner of his company so of course he can do as he pleases, he has to deal with people external to the company, that may not be so open minded. Also Japanese people tend private about their personal life, from what I understand, so idk if he’d be out to everyone, not hiding but not really talking about it, or if he’d use his privileged position to be more inclusive, starting from his own company)
In Mabu timeline, I headcanon they manage D&D together and that in time they open other shops around the city and business goes well, so even in this case they are very successful and can afford a nice “wedding”.
Of course in this TL, after their past, separation for 2 and a half years after Tenjiku, and their reunion after the fight with Kanto Manji gang, I feel like a wedding would have more “emotional value” to them. It would be a sort of recognition that, even after everything they went through, they still manage to find each other, to work together everyday to solve their problems and incomprehensions.
So yeah, in this TL, I think everyone from friends, to customers, suppliers etc would be like “oh sure, the D&D husbands” even before getting their certificate lol
I think in this TL they’d be a little more “radical” in the sense that, they love each other, they’ve been through hell before being able to talk about their feelings peacefully so, if people are cool with that, they’ll be happy to have them as customers/business partners etc, otherwise they can go elsewhere.
In this TL I think the ceremony would still be very classy, but a thousand time more emotional due to everything they went through. And the party after the ceremony would be super fun to compensate the emotional part where everyone is basically in tears 🤣
While they know in Japan what they have isn’t really recognized, they still want to celebrate with others in both TL
I don’t really consider the TL where they’re criminals because, of course, they don’t care about the law 🤣
and here I also have contrasting headcanons;
depending on the circumstances, even if it’s an open secret, they probably wouldn’t be really open about their relationship-even if everybody knows- so yeah, again, maybe they get the papers somewhere abroad;
instead if we consider the thing from another prospective, since they’re so rich and powerful, no one could create problems to them even if they’re out, so they’d probably have a huge, vey elite party, just to show everyone how powerful they are -also to have fun, but I guess in that environment people don’t really have friends, they have allies, business partners and enemies lol-

Adding to what the other anons said but also they didn’t hog tie the guest & blindfold them in a dark van only to pop up at the wedding location. //
But no one was there for the wedding remember. They were all there for different things like TB or his nieces patting zoo party in the middle of a hurricane. It was all just a coincidence that his outer of town friends, Downey,Renner, Hemsworth, Scarlett, Jenn, wedding planner, photographers, stylist, some of her family were in town plus some others who I won’t name🤫. Just like it was a coincidence a lot of them popped up in Lisbon a couple of days later🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
So why would they need to sign an NDA if there was no wedding after all there’s no wedding certificate in MASS allegedly 🫠
What odd coincidences! 😂

Something Old, Something New
All right, I’m digging myself a hole by making yet another fic idea that could so easily be turned into a full blown fic that I don’t have the time/mental capacity for, but I still wanna put it out there
Basically in a kinder world where the shadow of S6 doesn’t loom quite so heavy and where S7 has more room for such shenanigans, imagine an episode called Something Old, Something New and it’s situated in the back half of the season in the middle of the build to the season’s climax and it serves as comic relief. Like the last silly goofy crazy episode before the big scary finale. And it opens as like a “morning after this really weird insane party/morning after in Vegas” style episode and nobody can really remember what happened at first and they have to piece it together. The house is a mess, they’re all dressed up, even Spike, they feel like they’ve been in a fight. And why the hell is Buffy in a wedding dress? I feel like they probably start piecing stuff together pretty quick and they finally figure out what happened by looking at Andrew’s camera footage. Then the rest of the episode cuts to flashbacks.
So basically, the premise is, somebody is messing around with powerful magics. Maybe it’s Ethan. Maybe it’s an accident. I think it would be fun if it was Ethan working for the First but he specializes in chaos and is more focused on that than actually killing the First’s enemies.
But regardless, somebody does some sort of spell and it causes certain old spells to rebound. The spell in question, or one of them at least, is Buffy and Spike’s engagement spell. It’s something blue all over again. Spike and Buffy are getting married! And you have them being obnoxious and annoying undercut with the genuine care and trust and dynamics they have in S7. So maybe that’s why some people don’t immediately clock it as a spell, because Buffy’s been acting weird about Spike for several episodes so they’re very disappointed, but not surprised. Xander is upset and done with the whole situation, but he accepts it and awkwardly buys them a toaster as a wedding gift. Willow and Giles probably figure it out, but by then it’s too late because this spell is contagious. And slowly, the spell spreads to everyone in the town, or what’s left of everyone, and they all decide there’s no time like the present and they’re going to organize/attend the wedding of Buffy the Slayer and William the Bloody!
And it’s absolutely insane and ridiculous. Just pure crack. Because even the bad guys and the entire demon population are in on it. Even people who hate the match. They all have a part in it.
Giles walks Buffy down the isle as planned, which is only a little awkward because he tried to have the groom killed a handful of weeks ago. Anya is the meticulous wedding planner who organizes everything and is just a little unhinged because she never got her perfect wedding so shes living vicariously. Clem is the best man. I’m torn between Dawn as the Maid of Honor or the ring bearer. If she’s the ring bearer, Willow is the Maid of Honor. Buffy has a whole brood of potential slayer bridesmaids. Xander is still off the usher list, they give that to Faith and Robin. Andrew is the wedding photographer who films the whole thing and cries the entire time.
And Caleb marries them.
The First is really pissed about it because it’s the only thing not affected by the spell and it has to watch its right hand man act like a complete moron at the enemy’s wedding and shed literal tears while they exchange vows. Also maybe there’s a ridiculous throwaway line where Caleb says he would’ve brought a wedding present, but he couldn’t get the darn thing out of the stone.
The entire town, or what’s left of it, attends. Human, vampire, former classmates. demon, Turok-Han, Bringers. Everybody. The seating arrangements are insane. And because everybody is in on it, there is a 100% notarized, legal wedding certificate. It’s the weirdest completely official wedding ever.
I feel like towards the end, everything does descend into chaos somehow for a little while. Maybe that was the plan all along, get everybody together so they’d all die/kill each other. Or maybe the First’s people men are getting massacred so it makes Ethan put them all to sleep instead. Or Ethan betrays the First and it gets him killed. I don’t know how I’d end it exactly, but I’d want them all wake up the next day magically hung over and looking like they went to a fancy event that turned into a fight. Spike’s suit is torn. Buffy’s dressed is splattered with blood.
And in the very end, Buffy and Spike find their wedding certificate.
I also feel like the other spells gone wrong maybe pop up throughout episode or there are a bunch of fun callbacks. So like Giles temporarily gets turned into a demon or goes blind…or a blind demon, but Willow fixes it. Mr. Teeth and the Cheese Man are at the wedding. Somebody sings a song or Sweet straight up goes to the wedding. At least one person briefly forgets who they are and somebody else goes mute. Xander nods off during the ceremonyand has a nightmare about Sinya and jolts back awake. Somebody from the Wishverse and maybe a few other dead MOTW low key attend. Sid, the dummy from season 1, is in the crowd and whistles at Buffy in her wedding dress and Spike is about 3 seconds from throwing hands with a literal puppet. Fun stuff like that, that celebrates the chaotic side of the show, all to the backdrop of Buffy and Spike’s insane wedding.
And if you wanted a slightly sad/bittersweet moment…Joyce is there. Just for a moment, she’s really there. A few other people who died too maybe. Buffy sees her seated with everyone else, smiling and waving at her. Maybe she’s seated with a whole row of ghosts. (Jenny, Kendra, etc) And just for a moment, one moment in all this silly chaos…Buffy feels happy, feels closure. Maybe it is ‘fake’ maybe it is all magically induced, but the love she feels is real, and just for one little moment before it’s all destroyed, before Sunnydale itself is destroyed. Buffy gets to live in a world where it all intersects. The good the bad the demons the monsters, her family her friends, the people she loves. It’s a strange little goodbye to the strange little world her myth has created.
She takes in the room, in all it’s odd little glory, and then she turns to Spike and they exchange their vows. Vows too meaningful and personal to just be a spell.
And again, in the end, Buffy and Spike find their wedding certificate, which is folded up in the inner pocket of Spike’s suit. They look up at each other, locking eyes across the room.
Cut to black.

Just read a reddit post asking people what they regret spending a lot of money on and most people said wedding and this is why I wanna go to business school and get a wedding planner certification so I can open up my dream business of planning tradition-breaking weddings in which all of the wedding guests are actually involved instead of just sitting in a room watching two people just say boring shit.
My first idea is for people who have like conservative parents: it's an r-rated murder mystery wedding where the people getting married are murdered (theatrically) on stage by someone dressed up as like an evil villain or something with some elaborate costume and you, the wedding guests, have to figure out how to stop this villain and save the wedding. And not only that, it includes finding a magical spell to resurrect the people getting married via necromancy and the magic spell is actually going to be the wedding vows.
I also have a more child-friendly versiom where instead of the wedding party getting murdered, it's this "genie of the vows" that gets kidnapped and you have to save the genie while also solving puzzles revolving around the wedding party where it slowly reveals each part of the wedding vows and all the memories that led up to these people getting married and it can be all cute and symbolic about how it's not only the love that brought these two or more people together but also the love and support from the community that led to this and then everyone can actually feel good and have fun at a wedding instead of it being some boring ceremony.
And then I have another one that takes place in like a park or forest where you are going on a journey to help the people get married and it involves duels and slaying dragons and trolls asking you riddles in order to cross the bridge.
And yes, I mean to say "the people getting married" as a way to include everyone who wants to get married even polyamorous people.
What I'm saying is like you are not beholden to these arbitrary wedding standards. You can have a good fun wedding for once and I want to make a business like that
But I can't afford to go to business school so

Decided to indulge myself with another trainer sprite and trainer card for myself- once again using this site to help with team organization and overall for clean assets and clean asset sizing
More info under the cut
Something different I wanted to do was try to make myself comfortable with easing up my usual shading style.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These two, for instance, are May and Tracey in my usual style (i forget if i uploaded these- these are from ny Ash AU basically). Personally, I think it can pop, but there's also a lot more work put into them and they come across as less authentic, not to mention I'd like to steer towards a simpler style that I can make pop with less shading.
Tumblr media
For a standard splice edit, i think it's not too bad. The outfit is based on a combo of clothes I own I wish I felt confident wearing in public, lighter weight clothes I wear in the summer to cool off, and I even gave myself the headband I wear when I do outdoor work. Also, I wanted to indulge a little- I'm getting a bit more muscular and slightly leaner lately, and I wanted a sprite to kind of reflect this.
Tumblr media
As for the card itself, it's a modified Academy Key I made previously for a bunch of OCs, and again, I kinda see this as a Keychain kinda deal. There's also sort of influence from a driver's license- grade indicating what type of trainer you are (and not grading percentage in school lol). Kinda like how real life licenses can show certification for normal cars are different vehicles.
I imagine you insert the pass key into a pc like a thumb drive to access your pc and your party that way, with your party being represented and changed digitally.
The team I chose is basically a mix and mash of Pokemon I've had on my mind lately and wanna use more often. It was actually kinda hard to narrow it down due to all the type clashes with my favs (for instance, having Hisuian Samurott, Scizor, Golisopod, Corviknight, Alolan Marowak, and Hisuian Typhlosion would have so much type overlap, and I'm way too picky about that).
They're all Pokemon I've owned and used and could see myself taking a vacation with em.
1. Doujikiri/Shiny Hisuian Samurott, the same shiny I shiny bred for in my Indigo Disk adventure. It was between this or my shiny Umbreon, but I ended up going with Hamurott because it's my favorite starter, and I can see myself walking with it like it's a big dog (which it does in SV) or swim with it.
2. Klamps/Scizor, my main ace in my last playthrough of Soul Silver. I've had a strange hyperfixation on it lately, and who could blame me? It's a cool design. I'd imagine this would probably be the "sakuga" Pokemon- or at least the designated close combat fight scene Pokemon.
3. Lightning/Jolteon, I own 3 but Lightning is the one I used in XD GoD in my first successful playthrough of it. Jolteon actually used to be my favorite eeveelution for a while, and I want a little spunky doggo to run around with
The next three were actually on my Teal Mask team
4. Yoginator/Blood Moon Ursaluna, who is easily one of my strongest mons. Idk, mine hates me lol, so maybe we'd bond.
Tumblr media
Nah for real he hates me. This was from a selfie I took in game
5. Hollabax/Baxcalibur. I dunno, he's not particularly strong and tanks hits like a missile through tissue paper, but I kinda wanna vibe with it again. Could see us using its ice to keep cool
6. Shogun/Hisuian Typhlosion. Again, kinda missed mine. Johtonian Typhlosion was my first Pokemon, and I vibed with the Hisuian variant a bit. Could see it as a stand in for my old girl. It was between this and Alolan Marowak, and I just like Typhlosion a little more.
That's all for them.
The team is made using the team maker link, the trainer sprites are a mix of editing from official sprites and scratch work, and the card is a template I made myself.

I've just completed a major lifetime achievement and my primary emotion is disappointment
fun fact: less than 15% of the US population has a master's degree
today I became part of that 15%
it took me five years to complete a three year degree; it was a change from my undergrad major so I needed to complete almost half a degree's worth of classes that were required for me to even be admitted to my actual masters program, and then I took additional classes to earn two additional certifications on top of my primary degree, plus my time in school spanned the entire pandemic, and I got sick multiple times and even had to withdraw completely at one point just to recover over a span of at least two months
while in school I've won multiple awards for academic achievement, performance in my career field, and even research that I got to present at a conference in another state on top of showing it off at my university
my immediate family came to my graduation, as one would typically expect if those people are still in your life (not a guarantee, I know); in many families, including my own, big achievements like graduation or milestone birthdays are usually celebrated with food, either at home with a party or out at a 'nice restaurant' (a description that gets applied to a wide variety of eateries of vastly differing price points, and I love that tbh)
if you're reading this, you probably already follow me, so you know I'm a member of the illogical food consumption community, and celebratory food is kind of a big deal for us, but I was ready: I ate carefully in the lead up to today, worked to be excited about a tasty meal, and even wrote 'graduation dinner: enjoy it!' in my meal planner for today
we had sandwiches
like, here's the cold cuts that we already had in the fridge, make it yourself, sandwiches
eating in the kitchen with last night's used napkins still scattered on the table, sandwiches
the bread isn't even full size and there's no vegetables or condiments, sandwiches
to celebrate a MASTER'S DEGREE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
ultimately, I'm mad at myself for then proceeding to have TWO for a total of 755 c's for a meal I was disappointed about eating as soon as I heard what it was
I was gonna take it easy today, going over on eating and under on steps, recognizing that one day was just one day, and what was I doing all of this for if not to have a more enjoyable life?
instead, I came home and doubled my step count on the treadmill, and I want to do 20k minimum every day for the next three days if not longer (my daily highest so far has been 24k, but I'm typically lower); I gotta double check my budget (I've been getting in some good hours at work), but if I drop 2$ by either this monday or next (my check in day), I'll actually take myself out somewhere nice and have a lovely meal with a dessert and everything, and genuinely celebrate my achievement

BHS TREND WATCH MARISA SUKOSOL
The Thai hotel industry is looking for greener pastures. With the escalation of green consumer trends and heightened competition, sustainability is a key factor in successful brand management of hotels. Increased accreditations in planet-friendly practices are driving the hospitality industry to prove their environmental merit.
Sustainability in Thai hospitality is not just a passing trend. It is quickly becoming a priority and a moral must-do for hotel businesses who are fast adopting sustainable practises in operations as well as sales.
Mark Van Ogtrop, Executive Director Beacon Sky Hospitality met with Marisa Sukosol Nunbhaksi, Executive Vice President of Sukosol Hotels and Vice President of the Thai Hotels Association to discuss sustainability within the Thai hotel industry.
MVO: Please share with us an update on Sukosol Hotels
MSN: We’ve been in the hotel business for nearly 50 years, which started with the Siam Bayshore in Pattaya. Today, we have five hotels; 3 in Pattaya and two in Bangkok and in a couple of years we will be opening The Siam in Chiang Mai.
MVO: What are the Thai Hotels Association (THA) objectives?
MSN: THA has close to 1,000 member hotels, large and small operating all over the country. When there is an issue that impacts the Thai hospitality industry, such as sustainability, the association represents our hotel members when communicating with government and the private sector and provides thought leadership and recommendations to our members.
Another of our duties is to ensure that Thai hotels remain competitive in the worldwide marketplace. This involves a lot of training and education for our members.
Sustainability is an important trend in hospitality that effects everyone’s lives. The THA is increasingly promoting sustainable practices in hotel operations.
MVO: What trends have you seen evolve recently?
MSN: Sustainability, with the reduction of single-use plastics, which is a component of a hotel’s waste management operation, is the trend right now. Consumer demand of wanting less disposable plastics in their travel journey is growing and initiating a plastics reduction within the Thai hotels industry.
Demand for green meetings is also driving the business events sector. At Sukhosol Hotels we offer a green meetings package to event planners. We aim to reduce the resources that are consumed at meetings, minimalizing our carbon footprint with less energy consumption, plastics-free service of drinking water, use of local products and reducing food waste.
MVO: What challenges do Thai hotels face in becoming more sustainable?
MSN: Sustainability makes business. Implementing green initiatives can save costs and positively impact hotel profitability.
Green certification is important. Certification provides third party verification of what hotels are doing in terms of environmental conservation. A big problem in Thailand that effects everyone is waste management. The infrastructure cannot properly handle the amount of waste being generated. Recycling plants cannot handle the volume or types of waste. Hotels need to be more mindful in reducing their waste. Proper waste management is the main challenge facing Thai hotels.
MVO: What is the responsibility of Government and the Private Sector to drive sustainability?
MSN. It takes two to Tango. Sustainability is a Public-Private partnership and we are blessed that initiatives driven by THA have been supported by the Thai government. While international chain hotels operate in the main cities and tourist destinations, most of the hotels and guesthouses in Thailand are SMEs. These small businesses do not always have the economic means to adopt new ways of doing business. This is where the government has been very supportive of smaller hospitality operators. Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau has also been leading the way with education, accreditation and their Green Meetings Guide.
Our role at THA is to build awareness and educate hotels in sustainability and how important this is for our future. If our hotel members wish to compete internationally, this is what our members should do. Consumer demand is driving change towards more sustainable operations.
MVO: What advice do you have for hotel owners and what action you would like to see?
MSN: Sustainability makes business sense. Sustainability is also ‘Cool’ and it is something that you should do. When building a hotel business, we need protect the resources that the business is dependent upon – the natural environment, local community and staff. Going green saves costs.

Planning and Budgeting in Destination Wedding
Once you’ve chosen your dream location, it’s time to plan and budget. Create a detailed checklist that includes booking venues, hiring local vendors, and arranging accommodations for your guests. Keep in mind the local customs and legal requirements for getting married in your chosen destination. Allocate your budget wisely, considering expenses like travel, accommodation, food, and local entertainment.
Local Vendors and Services
One of the advantages of destination weddings is the opportunity to incorporate local flair into your celebration. Research local vendors, such as florists, photographers, and caterers, who can enhance your wedding with their expertise. Collaborating with local professionals not only supports the community but also adds authenticity to your event.
Guest Experience
Ensure your guests have a memorable experience by organizing group activities and excursions. Plan welcome parties, sightseeing tours, or adventurous activities like snorkeling or hiking. Providing a detailed itinerary in advance helps guests make the most of their trip and creates a sense of camaraderie among attendees.
Weather Considerations
Different destinations have varying climates, so research the weather patterns of your chosen location during your wedding season. Consider having a backup plan in case of unexpected weather changes. Many resorts and venues offer indoor alternatives or tents that can be set up to protect your celebration from rain or extreme heat.
Legalities and Documentation
Navigating the legal requirements of getting married abroad is essential. Research the necessary documentation, such as marriage licenses, permits, and certificates, required in your chosen destination. Some countries have residency requirements or waiting periods, so plan your wedding date accordingly. Consulting a local wedding planner can be incredibly helpful in this regard.
Packing and Travel Tips
Pack wisely for your destination wedding. Consider the climate and activities planned during your stay. Don’t forget essential items like sunscreen, insect repellent, and appropriate clothing for various occasions. Advise your guests on what to pack and provide travel tips to make their journey smooth and enjoyable. A destination wedding is a dream come true for many couples. Instead of getting married in their hometown, they choose to tie the knot in a far-off, picturesque location. It’s like a mini-vacation for the couple and their guests, and it can make the wedding day even more special. One of the main reasons people opt for destination weddings is the opportunity to say “I do” in a stunning setting. Imagine exchanging vows on a sandy beach, in a charming European village, or beneath a canopy of trees in a tropical forest. These unique backdrops create unforgettable memories. Destination weddings are also a chance to spend quality time with loved ones. Since everyone travels to the destination, it often becomes a multi-day celebration. You can have pre-wedding events, like a welcome dinner or beach party, and post-wedding activities, such as exploring the local culture or enjoying water sports. However, planning a destination wedding can be more complex than a traditional one. You need to consider travel arrangements, accommodation, and legal requirements of the chosen location. Plus, not all guests may be able to attend due to the travel involved. In summary, a destination wedding is a magical way to celebrate your love in a breathtaking location. It offers a unique experience for both the couple and their guests, filled with beautiful memories. Just remember, while it’s a fantastic option, it requires careful planning to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

NDIS Assist Personal Activities
NDIS Assist personal activities is a support service that covers a range of activities of daily living. It includes showering, oral hygiene and hair care, dressing, toileting, bladder and bowel management and moving around in the home.
This type of support is available to people with disabilities who include it in their personalised plan. Interested participants can access it from registered NDIS providers.
High Intensity Daily Personal Activities
Daily personal activities are support services that help individuals with disabilities meet their individual goals, outcomes and needs. These are usually provided in a participant’s home, but can also be offered in the community.
Supports in this category are complex and can involve health related activities, such as suctioning or behaviour support. They often pose the highest risks for participants, workers and others, and therefore require advanced skills and knowledge.
These supports are classified in Module 1 and must be delivered by a registered provider who is accredited in this service area. Module 1 supports are covered by the NDIS High Intensity Support Skills Descriptors, updated in February 2023.
ShiftCare’s Module 1 - High Intensity Daily Personal Activities pack contains all the policies, procedures and rosters you need to deliver these supports in accordance with the new NDIS high intensity skill descriptors. Purchase it in conjunction with our NDIS Certification pack or as a standalone policy package.
Self-Management Capacity Building
NDIS participants have the option to self-manage their funding, which means they can choose their own providers and negotiate prices for supports. This allows them to get the most out of their money and pursue their goals.
It’s important for self-managers to be innovative when working out how best to use their support funding. For example, they may find a cheaper provider for some of their services or hire a coordinator to help with budgeting, paying invoices and keeping records.
When engaging their own staff, self-managers must ensure that the person they are hiring has an NDIS worker screening clearance. This can be done by asking the person for their clearance number or requesting access to a national database. NDIS participants are also encouraged to have a service agreement with their providers to set out the responsibilities and expectations of both parties. This can help reduce conflicts and improve outcomes for participants.
Community Participation
Whether it’s attending a community event, going shopping or travelling for work, the NDIS can help participants get involved in their local communities. Community participation supports can be a part of either your Core Supports or Capacity Building budget.
The NDIS is a goals-based scheme which means it funds individualised support packages based on your needs and goals. Your NDIS planner will talk to you about what supports you want and need, taking into account any informal supports you receive from family, friends and community services.
If you’d like to access community participation support, you can include it in your NDIS plan by contacting your ECEI Coordinator or LAC. You can also find a range of registered providers who offer this support service through the NDIS provider portal or by contacting the NDIA contact centre. State Wide Community Services is one such provider offering this support service in Perth and Peel region. Our team of qualified and experienced support workers can help you develop the skills you need to participate in your local community.
Social and Emotional Wellbeing
Personal activities are essential to improving quality of life and achieving your goals. Depending on the individual, these may include things like bathing and grooming or community participation. It can also be a way to keep socially engaged and meet new people.
Personal activities can be included in your personalised plan under the Core Supports or Capacity Building budget. They are designed to build a participant’s independence in daily activities and help reduce the need for ongoing supports.
To ensure you have the best opportunity to access these supports, it is a good idea to consult a qualified support coordinator. They can assist you to navigate the NDIS and better understand your options. They can also assist you to set up goals and develop an action plan. This will include setting social goals that are relevant at the time of your plan review and evaluating how they will change as you progress through different stages in your life.
