growing up is realizing that dipcifica was actually a pretty damn good ship and holy shit i totally misjudged this pairing.
i never really liked dipcifica mainly because of how it got represented by the fandom, but looking back on it, it would've made a lot of sense and it would've been beneficial for both of them to date each other. and even in a completely platonic sense, their dynamic worked well enough that they could've done a lot more together.
dipper is a very nerdy awkward guy, clearly. he likes solving mysteries and sometimes he gets a little in over his head because of it. and his silly little awkward teenage love life reflects all of these things. that little shrimp was disney's #1 simp, it's actually insane. whenever he'd start to fall for a girl it'd end up going pretty terribly because he'd have no idea how to just act like himself and he'd also become a little bit of a jerk. (i'm not trying to like dog on dipper btw. he's just a kid and these are all understandable flaws, especially at his age and at the time period gravity falls took place in). however, with pacifica, a lot of these flaws are manageable solely because of how they're introduced to each other. dipper hates pacifica at first and wants nothing to do with her, but eventually they're forced to work together and realize "huh. we actually make a really good team." for dipper, this gradual building of a relationship is really beneficial to him. he wouldn't just go head-first into simping for some random girl and he'd also learn to respect her as a person and realize when he's being a little bit of a dick. being with pacifica, platonically or romantically (though personally i think romantically would strengthen their pros more but thats just my personal taste), would've helped dipper become a better person.
this goes for pacifica as well. pacifica's homelife is extremely controlling and it's what groomed her into becoming the mean girl that she's first presented as. as the show continues though, it's clear that she doesn't really want to be mean to anybody. she only acts spoiled because she doesn't know what else she can act like. she wants to connect to people but she's been so forced into this fake rich life that she has no idea how to be genuine with anybody. that's why her having a connection to dipper is so important. dipper is a little blunt, and he especially won't hide that from pacifica because he initially hates her and her family's lifestyle, so this'll eventually help pacifica realize "oh shit. i'm kind of a dick. my family are kind of huge dicks." and we do end up seeing this from her in "Northwest Mansion Mystery". she learns how to be herself, learns who "herself" even means, and learns to stand up for who she is when she figures that out. also pacifica's pretty damn smart???? especially socially???? she could absolutely help dipper do a lot of things when it comes to mystery solving, and with her status it'll most likely be things that dipper could never pull off and never even thought about because that's just what he's used to. they'd both end up learning a lot from each other because they'd be dragged into environments that they're not familiar with, but the other is. and their different perspectives/lifestyles would help the other view their environment in a new light.
not only is their relationship genuinely really beneficial to the both of them, but i also just know that their dialogue and scenes with each other would be so damn silly i can't not say yes to it anymore. i also just personally like headcanoning them both as bisexual so that's a plus for me.
anyways, tldr: i was wrong about dipcifica and its actually really good, i just think people should really analyze their relationship more since the way the fandom presents it (or how ive personally seen the fandom present it) is a little icky and shallow at least in my opinion. yay for dipcifica being silly little goobers :3

its so hard to watch time pass when things like careers and assignments exist. what do you mean im supposed to take that seriously
#I have an assignment that was due a week ago and I really really dont want to do it. I have to but i dont want to#im probably making it worse because my brain has built a wall around it so now i can’t do literally anything else until thats done. but#because I don’t want to do it I’m just kinda stuck. turns out this is what they meant when they said emotional regulation is part of#exec dysfunction.. I’ll have a thought like if I get a little bit of it done now i can get it over with. I can just submit something#and then not even 5 minutes later itll be like ugh but I have to draw all the assets out. I have to write things and make spreads ugh#and its just flopping between those two things. i hate it when ppl are like well how much time do you need to work on one thing#because BOY id love to know too. i wonder how much longer the devils' lifespan is compared to a human. because the kings have been around for AGES when you take into account the fact that they were all full fledged adults with their countries well established by the time solomon first made contact with them. but also what's been messing me up about the longevity of their lives is the fact that the mc meets children! (from satan's bath card preview)
and from this conversation with sitri and ppyong devils are no longer being born because lilith, mother of all devils, has disappeared along with god and solomon. (ch3)
of course we know solomon is dead but the other two's existences are kinda up in the air at the moment. and with the fact that they all disappeared a long time ago its been. a few millenia which means any devil children have been babies and children for. a VERY long time from a humn perspective. and in that time many generations have sprung up between solomon's death and the mc being born. but also time passes differently in hell (likely slower from the fact that mc wasn't aware that the anniversary of their parents' death approached and passed (in ch4), as well as the fact that sitri says solomon spent a century in hell when solomon only made it to his 50s on earth (unles pretty busy has changed this for the story but i dont think they have)
with how all the devil's act you really would think that solomon disappeared just yesterday to them! thousands of years have passed on earth but theyre still heartbroken like they last spoke to him just last week! how short is the life span of a human to them. is it just like a blink and you're gone. are they aware of how limited their time with the mc is. because even with hell being so technologically avanced there's death every day. there is no cure for death. you will die and they still haven't even coped well with the death of a man that lived so long ago.

In an earlier post, you mentioned that you weren’t going to do any lion swapping in your VLD Rewrite.
So, I’m assuming the means Shiro also gets to keep his Bayard.
Do you have any ideas for what form Shiro’s Bayard will take?
I did say that, yea !! I've since played with the idea of maybe having some instances where someone else will pilot a different lion for Plot, but it won't be permanent, and it won't be the same as the Bond (tm) that the lion has with her paladin. but I digress <3
I have sooooo many thoughts about shiro's bayard <3 I've always LOVED the hc that his bayard takes the form of a shield so at the moment that's my primary idea, but I also think it'd be cool if he had a few alternate forms later on (in fact, I'm planning on giving Everyone a few alternate forms as they continue to develop their skills) and ngl ngl ngl I am thinking sooo so hard about polearms. so very incredibly hard.
#the thing abt shiro is that. given his trauma w being forced to kill. i dont think his bayard would take the form of something#that is excessively violent. like a zweihander or mace or something ykw.#because i think he knows its a war and he has to kill sometimes but i also think he really really hates doing it.#and will only do it if he absolutely has to.#idk idk i think there's something poetic about The Gladiator The Black Paladin having a shield or a bo staff as a weapon#something that is more for Defense and Protection than killing. and can only be lethal if a deliberate choice is made to be lethal.#i havent really decided for sure what his main bayard form will be but itll be something along those lines#quintenary stars series#xpegasusuniverse#also to clarify on the temporary lion switches its not between the paladins themselves its like.#a paladin is injured/incapacitated for a long period of time and in the meantime the lion allows allura to pilot her For Necessity#but there's no bond there allura's just a placeholder who can pilot and form voltron but thats about it#et cetera

AND if he maybe did have a couple dates during time skip period maybe morbid curiosity kicks in and he wants to see jealous Mochi???👀👀👀
to be honest the girls that come at him are always a mix, which was true for their high school days as well!!! theres obviously a big shy chunk that (as expected) would go "no point, he probably has a girlfriend" or "im too terrified to ask him out lets just enjoy his beauty from afar," the normal intensity chunk of regular human beings that ask him once and when he says "ah, sorry im not really interested but i appreciate it," they let it go and dont ask again. and then theres the aggressive chunk he cant STAND which is the "i can convince him to hook up with me 😘😉" girls that try and straight up seduce him in the middle of the store.
the normal intensity chunk he respects a little more. because when he gives an answer they dont press. the aggressive chunk he HATES because he gives an answer and they dont respect it and keep attempting to lure him in. its these people that lime learned early on, its so much easier to use the strategy of "first response will be polite, anything after that i will be an asshole to them"
which throughout high school and very quickly through the post-timeskip earns him a bit of an asshole reputation because "wow i hear hes so mean to girls when he rejects them why is he like that???" but if you get to know him, he only reacts like that if you keep pestering him.
(he learned this in late middle school when he tried to keep being nice in his rejections, but being nice never got them to give up so eventually he figured out that being an absolute asshole turns most of them away)
NOW ON THE NOTE ABOUT HIM DATING OTHER GIRLS: he DID got on a few dates in between the timeskip when mochi wasnt around, and it was always with the normal intensity types who would at least respect his decisions. he did this as an attempt to get over mochi, but one or two dates in realized that yep this isnt working, and also its not fair to this poor girl because im still thinking about mochi and clearly i cant commit to her, so it would end pretty fast.
and when mochi DOES find this out (he tried to hide it from her hehe) its not exactly jealousy, but that horrible twisting sinking feeling you get in your stomach. she usually deals with this kind of emotion alone and doesnt tell anyone, and tries to sort it out in her head herself before coming to terms with it and finally asking lime about it. (lime can kinda tell though. and when he does find out shes feeling like this, post-timeskip lime is a little better at not denying his feelings and isnt bad at making her feel better)
