Niffty Redesign🐛

Made my own take on Niffty for Fun!!!!!!!!💖 I def thought a lot on what to try with her!!!!

Pushed for a more 50’s Housewife aesthetic/hotel maid vibe. She’s wearing a pinafore apron which was very popular during that era and I took the poodle skirt idea and reworked it into the apron, but rather than a poodle it’s a bug 🐛. Also brought back warmer colors like the pilot look had. Pastel yellow was def a pop color!

Also added a name tag as to show she works for the hotel 🏨

Added more splotches and made them bigger on her apron. Polkadots were popular in that time and I think are cute(lot of her concepts had polka dots on her) plus I can see her wanting people to assume she’s a ladybug or Asian Lady Beetle 🐞 (@peeperscreeperz made a take of Niffty being that which is AMAZING and I considered making her that too but I ended up going a different route). I can see her also wanting them to give off flowers…only for most people to see them as blood stains.🌸🩸

Also gave her those iconic cleaning gloves 🧤. Shes the Hotels maid AND cook afterall 🧽 👩‍🍳

Gave her a bandana bow for the housewife and maid look and because I think it’s cute and lowkey gives off antennae. I LOVE the idea of her being a bug demon so I went with that. I was going for a subtle ambiguity of what she’s suppose to be(she’s hiding what she is).

Gave her warmer eye color back! Also made the pupil more leaf shaped 🍃.

Added gradient for her limbs.

Added extra limbs. Great for extra cleaning 🧹 🧼

Her hairs actually antennae…and extra legs 🦵

Gave her three fingers.

Made her eye bigger(bugs often got big eyes! Or for her case eye 👁️)

Added a lil bug instead of a poodle for her apron!🪳

For her color motif, went back to warmer colors and because for mine I’m going with a rainbow motif she’s Yellow💛🌈 the color known for its positives such as joy and friendship…but can also mean negative things such as Deceit, illness and often used as a warning color⚠️ it was also a popular color for Sci-Fi posters(she was based on B-Alien Movies)

Made her skin a kinda warm pastel orange🧡 I missed her having a warm palette but I also get why they changed it due to her roots 🇯🇵. So I went with orange!!!! Her hairs also a more brownish red-orange.

For her bug theme,

I went with something that I figure would connect her both to her ability to take down pests so well and Japanese origins. The Japanese Centipede! Centipedes are great for pest control but apparently to Japan they’re considered symbols of evil and rottenness, plus with how they look they often scare people even those they don’t pose serious threats to humans, which I think fits Niffty’s whole desire to be loved only to accidentally scare people away…shunned & unloved by a world she can’t seem to fit in💔

With the reveal of Husk being once an Overlord I like to believe the same with Niffty but rather than souls(talked about this with @a-sterling-rose, she was an immensely powerful sinner like Alastor, but alas her form was far too big and scary for people to want to get close to and she was alone…until Alastor offered her a deal he’d provide a more approachable form in return for her eternal service)

A lot of her looks meant to be hiding what she is. Disguising her extra limbs as hair, her body’s color scheme based on a centipedes, poofy dress that could cover extra, even the bug design could be Interpreted as a long centipede. I was also going for a subtle sharp, mini legs for her apron ruffles, giving off her trying to look sweet and soft but could also be interpreted in another way…

I read and learned from a @lovesart23 redesign vid for her that, she was meant to be based on B-Alien Movies. LOVE that and I tried it myself(hardest part was figuring out what bug to make her and what themes to go with) but I ended up going for another Sci-Fi route. Kaiju/Giant Bug monsters. Creatures like Godzilla or those giant bugs creatures like “the Tingler” 1959(which was a centipede monster I read). I figure it’d connect well to both her struggles of fitting in but also her Japanese Roots.

There’s even a Yokai/demon based on the centipede know as the Ōkumade!

Taking her obsession with stabbing, her sewing needle and her delight in bdsm and her phrase "never leave me again!", I love the idea that a part of her powers was with each stab or graze she made on an opponent she could energy thread her enemies to the ground, to each other, or even stitch them back together again, so she could prolong her game of House or puppet shows or reenacting the manipulation she felt onto others. And to make her more powerful, she could mix her soul energy with others to make them more bonded with her. A sort of "self manipulated string of fate".

(Thriving) Overlord!Niffty:

I don’t think Niffty was an overlord, but I do think she was thriving to be one, without even realizing it herself. Like, she was just getting involved in fights and killings in hell, for fun, she notices that she’s getting power from defeating demons. So she keeps it up because she thinks it’s cool.

But that’s just it. She had no idea she was slowly becoming an overlord.

But, the Alastor came. And Niffty just went and sold her soul to him, bc she thinks he’s a bad boy—Oop.

Vox and who I can only assume to be Vox’s secretary have similar eyes.

Alastor, Husk, and Nifty all have the same general aesthetic, but nothing is specifically the same, so maybe it’s the overlord’s choice?

Actually yeah! For my Niffty I’m going for that route!🐛

HUGE Spoiler alert!!!! Hazbin Hotel @the-burd-lord made these concept designs for me as a gift, I treasure them greatly💖 Their designs inspired from Centichoro from One Punch Man. The other character in the drawings is my take on Alastor!🦌📻

With the reveal of Husk being once an Overlord I like to believe the same with Niffty but rather than gained her power from souls(talked about this with @a-sterling-rose, she was an immensely powerful sinner like Alastor, but alas her form was far too big and scary for people to want to get close to and she was all alone…until Alastor came along and offered her a deal he’d provide a more approachable form in return for her eternal service).

One idea. I imagine she was once a regular sinner like everyone else but was still a centipede like demon so it wasn’t easy to gain peoples trust due to her scary appearance. But one day some overlord or jsut really strong demon or hellborn tried to attack her and in defense or just acting on first instinct…ate into them and ended up becoming stronger and scarier looking in the process, driving even more people to see her as a threat and try to attack only to well…think the Hungry Catepillar but more gruesome and scary.

I can imagine she used to live in the outskirts of the pentagram or underground somewhere as Centipedes can burrow. Occasionally some try to get close to gain power or try to kill her but failed. She was very lonely💔💔💔 Warning scary images.

So, we all know the first season was a little rushed since they only had 8 episodes to work with. It is my (desperate) hope that since the show is doing so well, they'll be given more episodes for season 2. Now let's pretend they'll be given enough for filler episodes as well as the main story. Here are some of my dream filler episodes I would love to see happen!

A Chaggie date (Vaggie sees Charlie is getting stressed and worries about her so she insists on taking her out for a night off.)

A Keekee and Fat Nugets episode (something happens and the two end up away from the hotel and work together to find their way back home.)

An Earth Visit (not sure why, but somehow for some reason, Charlie and co visit earth for a day and chaos ensures because how could it not.)

Emily Visits Hell (maybe brings Molly with? It would be kind of hilarious for people from Heaven to see how it really is like in Hell. Maybe this is Charlie trying to get them to be more part of the hotel transition.)

A Blackout Episodes (One of those, how various people deal with something -Vox- causing a blackout throughout the city. Maybe even one of those Charlie or Vaggie gets stuck in a lift with Velvette or someone to have some fun interactions between different characters.)

A Gambling Episode (No idea the story but at some point it involves Husk making some bets to let off steam and Angel ends up tagging along as arm candy and I read somewhere that Husk cheats so maybe Angel helps him!)

Lucifer rejoins society (he attempts to pick up his role as King of Hell but finding it increasingly hard since his long absence and preppy attitude means not many people take him seriously.)

Nifty chaos (maybe she somehow wanders from the hotel while Alastor is away so Chalie and the others try to find her, worried she'll get hurt, meanwhile she's terrorizing the rest of hell and just having a blast before they eventually find her safe and sound if not covered in a lot of someone else's blood.)

Overlords episode (Maybe Charlie or Lucifer want to try and get on the good side of the overlords so try and spend some time with each of them to get to know them better.)

The Vees meets Hangover (this one is really silly and in general I just want a Vee filler but it'd also be hilarious if there was a Hangover style one where one of them - take your pick, it'd be hilarious either way - goes missing after a bender and the other two struggle to put together what happened to find them.)

Alright y'all time to out myself as a Hazbin Hotel enjoyer... I'm sorry these stupid demons infected my brain and I love hate it here. This art style is literally like the opposite of my art style, I can't use my pencil brush, I cant use harsh sharp shapes because the style is VERY round and smooth AND the anatomy is just not anatomy-ing.

Anyways here's my Overlord Angel Dust AU, the main idea is basically what would happen if Angel killed Val and took his place as overlord but was gonna try and fix the industry because he knows personally what it's like to be exploited by the industry. I've got a fic in the works and I'm very excited about it because it's gonna explore some of my theories about Angel Dust (and the other characters) from when they were alive, which I will upload separately because I have full theories crafted as to some of the things that happened to them in life with Nifty, Husk and Angel Dust being the ones I have decent ideas for. Also I will eventually upload my redesigns of the characters because as a bug lover Nifty drives me UP THE WALL, as a person with eyes Alastor and Charlie drive me up the wall and Vaggie and Lucifer had SO MUCH potential and they're just.... yeah.

Also I don't support Vivzipop I watched Hazbin TOTALLY LEGALLY and I TOTALLY watched the show on Amazon and not on a website that I WON'T give people if they DM and ask me for *wink wink nudge nudge*

Alright I will yap more later for now have this and tune in later? Also no I am not abandoning Ninjago content or anything like that I'm working on a Misako art piece as we speak I just happen to be a person with multiple interests and some people on other platforms seemed to get kinda upset about that for some reason? I promise yall I'm still obsessed with Ninjago as well, I'm very excited for Shatterspin lol! Anyways PEACE OUT!

I present unto thee this persistent thought:

The residents of the Hotel get their hands on a game of Uno.

However, because Lucifer, Alastor, and Husk are all filthy cheaters that want to win for no reason other than pride, every card in the Uno deck ends up being turned into a "Draw 4".

Pretty much everyone figures it out instantly, and the game of Uno soon becomes a battle of wills. Niffty leaves the table at the half hour mark to chase a bug and is disqualified. Vaggie forfeits after an hour.

Charlie and Angel both quit after the game lasts two hours.

Husk ends up having to throw the game because Angel decides to try mixing his own alcoholic beverage.

It takes another four and a half hours after Husk leaves the table for Lucifer and Alastor to agree to end the game in a tie.

The next time someone suggests Uno, Vaggie throws them off the top of the Hotel.
