i kinda ended up disconnecting from his Design as a Whole and the alt palette didn't really fix it but nonetheless he's never leaving my possession. it's weird cause my brain can really only connect fully to one character per Thing/Setting as a Sona who is Me so ever since splitting off into otter I don't feel FULLY connected to either the way I once did to surli :( but I am experimenting with having multiple sonas and maybe ill try that thing people do where they also do sonas for different Aspects of themselves so I don't just have an army of Normal Nice Blonds

he was a bit of an experiment in "CAN I have more than one fursona?" and also "CAN I make a sona who isn't Exactly Like Me?" i've always seen people whose sonas have Supernatural Elements and been like how can you do that. I respect it so much but if EYE am a normal human person how can I connect to something with strange abilities and qualities. and I still couldn't go so far as like... my friend whose sona is an honest to god several stories tall kaiju with a backstory and shit, but lee has supernatural luck and a connection to/control of storms/lightning because that's sick and awesome and cool. and also glows and has cool antlers when he wants. he's not as me as the others but he's there and he's not... NOT me?

unfortunately I DO love his stupid ass. you know how sometimes in a comic or animated show there'll be some obscure reference to one of the creators or someone on the team like as a gag that goes over most people's heads well he's supposed to be that. his appearance is me at my worst (needs haircut + shave) and he has the OP superpower of putting people in pocket dimensions of altered reality he controls entirely but he ONLY uses it to make stupid filler bottle episodes like They All Have To Play Softball or Beach Episode or whatever. represents my oft-abused ability as a creator to Put Those Guys in a Situation. he's not so much a sona (cause if I made a silver city sona it would be genuine not this greasy freak) but he sure is Representative of Me.

coasty woasty... made for the nephfei world for the spinxyn closed species. first closed species sona ive ever had and i think hes neat! nephfei is such a well designed world that is really conducive to stories and characters influencing each other's arcs but coast is just some guy he's just there. he just lives there and minds his own business. (he has no gifts or curses so nothing really requiring a Story) but maybe i should get him some Friends at least maybe i can have a sona who has Story OC Friends from other people and still be like yes thats me if i was friends with everybody's ocs

it was suggested since I have a very hard time being In Character (i get so self conscious) that I start with a character similar to myself! so august is incredibly Just Me FR. if i were to go on an adventure i would be bad at it and terrified. his campaign is suspended due to Life but i accidentally, due to knowing nothing, picked a pretty OP blend of stats that has made him bizarrely competent (not like. the best in the party or anything but he really can hold his own and once like critted twice and turned invisible and flew and killed a dragon) and honestly that's hilarious and I like it for him
that's it! the rest of my characters are just characters not sonas though I still love them dearly, some of them even more than some of my sonas i won't name names though ty if you made it this far. i love to Talk

okay ive been playing stardew valley Intensely so here are my thoughts:
really loving the meadowlands farm. in the past I've mostly used the forest farm, but the meadowlands might usurp it. love that it comes with a coop and 2 chickens so I don't spend the whole first spring grinding to get those. also love the little creek, it's very cute. however perhaps due to the luck for the draw, almost every square of my property is filled with rocks, wood, trees, weeds, or grass. Finally got a silo so I've been starting to make some progress with cleaning up. It's been hard to get the lay of the land since the whole farm is a maze.
Also possibly due to luck of the draw, but there have only been 2 rainy days all spring OTL. so progress in the mines has been slow AF, because every morning I have to spend half my energy watering the garden.
there are some new mini-quests and dialog that are hilarious. just saw a quest from Sebastian that was like "I want to throw a green bean very hard at the side of the mountain, does anyone have one?"
seems to be pushing the community aspect of the game a little more, which is all right bc frankly I always forget to interact with the villagers lol. I always accidentally romance Emily bc I always want to give people neat rocks from the mine and she's the only one who appreciates that
you can read books to gain abilities now!
love that there are carrot seeds now, I just wish you could buy them in the store.

7. What is your deepest joy about writing?
Ohhh what an interesting question! I think what I love most abt writing—why I still write even if it only results in unfinished wips—is… hm how to put this… an execution of an idea? Putting my own spin on a concept? Bringing smth to life from my mind and onto a page? Like I just love thinking about things, and writing gives me a way to share that w other ppl or put it into words, and that’s what’s best about it!
10. Has a piece of writing ever “haunted” you? Has your own writing haunted you? What does that mean to you?
LOL uh the first definition that comes to mind for a piece of writing ‘haunting’ me is in the ‘god why did I write this’ sense, in which case I’d probably say my fanfic from my hetalia days……. A full ten years ago at this point…… But I’m also an advocate for not being ashamed of your writing no matter how old or cringy it is bc we all had to start somewhere right? And it still brought me joy at one point even if it doesn’t anymore, so I wouldn’t exactly say that it really does haunt me per se haha
The other sense of ‘haunting’ is probably ‘I think abt it a lot’ in which case—my wips haunt me. OTL
14. Do you lend your books to people? Are people scared to borrow books from you? Do you know exactly where all your “lost” books are and which specific friend from school you haven’t seen in twelve years still possesses them? Will you ever get them back?
I do! Not as much (read: at all) anymore bc my friends and I have all diverged in terms of preferences and also physical location, but in high school, sometimes I’d even give my kindle acct in order to share ebooks haha.
But I’ve also always been a library person, and my physical collection is exceedingly small. I also don’t tend to reread anything? So I only buy books if there’s a reason I’d want to display it and/or come back to it. And it’s hard to lend books if you don’t own them haha. I would lend them if I had any though!
23. Describe the physical environment in which you write. Be as detailed as possible. Tell me what’s around you as you work. Paint me a picture.
So. Most often I’m on my bed (full size, cheap, IKEA) and on top of my blankets (cheap, Amazon). I do most of my work in bed and lying down lol and also on my phone bc if I waited until I had my computer I would get nothing done. It’s probably either late at night or very early in the morning (bc I am unfortunately both a night owl and an early bird—no sleep for me!), so the light is rather dim. I have several larger stuffed animals w me on my bed (one is ice bear from CN, one’s a weighted dragon plushie, and one’s a really loooong shiba-dog-thing that’s probably close to my height) that I can prop my head up on or squash beneath me, depending on my mood. I also have an extra pillow to put against the wall for if I do decide to do anything while sitting up (currently cuddling it as I write this). A lot of what I own is a shade of blue or green. There’s a string of white Christmas lights around the wall next to my bed bc I can’t stand the brightness of the overhead light. Currently there’s a half-finished quilt rolled up beside me.
Really tho I write anywhere inspiration strikes me. Once I wrote a decent chunk while sitting in my car in the parking lot of a homegoods lol
29. Where do you draw your inspiration? What do you do when the inspiration well runs dry?
Hm… my inspiration probably comes most often from other people! I had a ton of fun with all the sctir prompts I got a while back :) A lot of my favorite ideas that I’ve executed comes from putting a spin on an existing trope or concept, or from seeing smth around tumblr or twitter and wanting to write my own version.
My inspiration well runs dry very often, actually. I’m a huge binge-writer—most of what you see from me is stuff that I wrote within a couple days, which is why most of my fics tend to be short. I’m definitely not one of those ‘write a little bit every day!!’ kind of people—that would never work for me, and kinda drains my soul. Trust me I’ve tried lol (case in point: I managed to do an entire nanowrimo a couple years ago (the whole 50k!) and never touched or looked at that fic ever again. Was a fantastic exercise, but just not the way I work). Usually if I have an active wip, I do try to go back to it every couple days, just to make sure I don’t forget about it entirely haha. If I’m not actively working on an idea, I try not to let it bother me too much; the waiting is as much a part of my writing process as the actual writing. I’m all for making it easier for yourself—fanfic writing is a hobby, not a job, and I’m here for my own enjoyment more than anything else. I want to lean into it most when I’m happiest, yknow? :)
Bonus question for fun: 11. Do you believe in the old advice to “kill your darlings?” Are you a ruthless darling assassin? What happens to the darlings you murder? Do you have a darling graveyard? Do you grieve?
Yes absolutely!!! This isn’t to say that you should ruthlessly get rid of what you love most in your writing, but definitely don’t be too attached to every single word you write. The writing advice that I’ve found most helpful so far in my writing journey is: if you’re stuck in your writing, the problem isn’t with the current scene or paragraph, it’s what happened before. I’ve also had an English teacher suggest to us once that we should try rewriting something from memory to pare down to what’s most important (bc anything you don’t remember isn’t essential). I start over all the time if smth’s not working for me and I delete and go back if I get stuck. If I’m getting rid of smth that’s longer, I do try to keep it around or move it to a separate doc in case I need to use it later, or to try and incorporate into a different scene so that I’m not dropping it entirely, but I’ve found myself doing that less and less as I go. It’s annoying, maybe, but I don’t grieve haha
Kill your darlings, for sure 🔪
(ALSO the best part abt fanfiction is that even if a scene that you really love doesn’t work in the main sequence, you’re allowed to write spin offs and side stories and extra scenes as much as you want to lol. Like killing your darlings doesn’t have to mean you resign it to never seeing the light of day, maybe you just fake their death and move them to a different neighborhood skdnejcbjdd)

i am really feeling the stress lately mmm life's a bit hectic atm so it's hard to try to get 3 things done this week instead of the usual 1 OTL
i did finish the art for 15, so it's completely ready to go. i have not however had much time to write 16 because i've been trying to start on the companion pieces to GOM, they're small fics and while one of them can be held off for a while, the other needs to get work done on it or else i could accidentally cause continuation errors as it has quite a few chapters set 1-3 years past our present GOM chapter.
I really gotta get a buffer going to make things easier OTL so 15 will be on time, but...the next chapter which is usually done by time the last posts, might be delayed, though you guys might not even notice the delay.

Here's a preview for one of the companion fics related to GOM! this one is called "The Wild Plum Tree" and it focuses on some untold stories with JC and LXC.
i dont wanna give too much away so just a small snip from chapter 1 and 2 ! I have a mini art for ch 1 though idk if i'm going to do art every chapter for this one or not, especially since i have to try to write this and gom at the same time lol the good thing is i completely finished the outline for this specific companion fic so hopefully that means it'll be much easier to get it going once i get used to writing jc a bit more.

One quick respawn later...
“YEOW! Oh, that’s smarts!” Qbby exclaimed, still feeling the ‘phantom pain’ from the slice.
“Box... smart?”
“No, it means that it really hurts!”
“Oh...”
“Hey, you dropped thish.” Reaching with a very stretched out arm, Ankh grabbed the container of steamed buns (they were there before I just forgot to draw it OTL), which Qbby dropped once he briefly fell apart... in the literal sense. Handing it back to the box soon after, Ankh focused on the ‘magic vibes’ that the leaf shield was giving off.
“..........!” How strange. The only magic she can feel from is not only her own... but Jobski’s, too.
...Whoo boy.
“...It’sh gotten shtronger...”
“What’s gotten stronger?”
“...Their vibesh... their magic vibesh...”
“Wait. Magic? UFO... has magic??”
Ankh did not even had bother to answer Qbby’s confusion as she was already glowing with a small big of her healing magic... onto herself.
“I’m going in.”
“Ankh... b-be cafeful...” 2FO watched in worry.
With a little bit of her power to keep the leaves from hurting her, Ankh braved through the hurricane-like ‘shield’. Admittedly, even she was struggling to keep herself from getting knocked off-balance. But as long as the djinn knew UFO needed help, she still persevered.
Step by step, inch by inch, Ankh kept on going forward. Right until she was finally close enough to kneel down to the fall-fashioned flying saucer.
“UFO...?” She whispered gently. “...What’sh wrong?”
“..........” UFO still had the beanie covering their eyes, but with their ‘imaginary’ hands raised it slightly to show distraught, teary eyes. Self-isolating for weeks made it hard to believe that Ankh was right here with them... Or that anything they’re experiencing is real.
“...U... UFO.... d-do not know.....”
“....What if UFO... m-malfunctioning?”
“Mal....functioning?”
“U-uh huh.... *sniff* UFO... F-feel cold a lot.... and imagine things. UFO... hear things n-not supposed to hear. See things... n-not supposed to see.”
“What do you mean...?”
“...U-UFO keep... imagining hands. Like UFO have hands... A-and see leaves... a-and now UFO... i-imagine Ankh on moon... *sniff*
....Ex-bosses are right... U-UFO... is m-malfunction.... Don’t know.... w-what to b-believe...”
A long silence followed. Ankh having quietly listened with great concern and confusion. The UFO said they’ve been imagining having hands of their own... ...but even she could clearly see them. White, gloved, floating hands...
...Oh. That time when she thought her powers were slowly returning while she was a UFO... those were always a part of their kind, wasn’t it?
“........” With the prolonged silence, UFO assumed that the ‘imaginary’ Ankh would eventually disappear alongside these ‘imaginary’ hands.
But even the strongest sense of doubt could not prepare them for what Ankh did next.
“.......!”
Ankh gently held one of their hands with the both of hers. There was no denying the sudden touch of warmth from between her hands, even if they didn’t have any arms. A warmth they had first thought was long impossible.
“....Jobshki.....your handsh...”
“....They’re real... they’re really here...”
“....Jusht ash much ash I am.”
Suddenly, it doesn’t feel as shivering cold anymore. Even the harsh wind and brown leaves seem to have vanished as the realization sunk right in.
If 2FO and Qbby had any jaws, they would be dropping right at this moment.

Thank you for the question!!! Sorry it took me a little to get this done, I started it but then got distracted and forgot about it. OTL
Who feels the most like home?
Ooo this is a hard one... Taeyang has been my ult so long that he really has a special place in my heart, and sometimes just seeing him in a video or hearing his voice in a song makes me smile.
But Chan... I really connect with him and I think he definitely could get like home with a bit more time, I think cause he does vlives every week and speaks English, there's more chance to get to know little things about him, and I think hearing him talk in a language I understand (maybe someday I'll learn Korean...) makes him feel more like someone I could actually know in a way. Also he's just a comfy person to me.
Is there a specific position (what they do or age) your biases tend to be? (Rapper, singer, dancer, leader, older in the group, younger, maknaes, etc.)
So far, not really? XD I don't have a lot of biases, but age position there's absolutely no pattern. And while my two big biases are both singers that's not why they're my biases, there's a lot of rappers I really enjoy when they're performing but if I don't connect them in terms of personality it doesn't matter how good they are. One of them is a lead dancer, one isn't, but if I got more biases I can definitely see myself having more dancers in my roster cause I'm a sucker for some good dance moves.
Do you have any bias wreckers?
I have an honorary one (Jaeyoon of SF9, it's a long story) but once I settle on a bias I tend to not really sway from them.
Is there anything in particular that draws you into your bias(es)?
Smiles is a big one, I'm such a sucker for a nice smile, if someone is my bias I 100% love their smile.
With Taeyang, his passion for dance is a big thing, there's just something about how much he seems to love dance that I just see in him and I think it's beautiful.
With Chan, it's the fact that I feel like I have a lot of little things in common with him, and he has a really comforting presence about him.

Alright. I'm gonna go with Taeyang because oh man. Can I say a lot about him. He's been my bias for a long time, since early 2017, and I really love him with all my heart. I mean, he's the reason my blog header is what it is, because I really would give him the entire universe if I could. He deserves it and so much more.
He's an amazing passionate dancer and you can really see it when he performs - there's this special look in his face where it just seems like he's really enjoying what he's doing, and I've never seen that joy in anyone else no matter how much they enjoy dancing. And he's so good at it too!!! He is an amazingly phenomenal dancer and I love watching him dance, he's so talented, he has such grace and ease when performing, and his movements are so smooth, I can't take my eyes off him!!!
I also love his voice. I'm really bad at describing voices but for me his is very special and I love it. I can immediately tell if it's him and like I said before, just hearing his parts in songs makes me smile so much.
Another thing I love about him is his smile. He lights up the whole room when he smiles, he really lives up to his name... Which is why my personal tag for him is "my beautiful sunshine bias". Just seeing him smile makes me so happy and I really treasure his smile so much, it's one of the things that first drew me to him.
Basically he means the world to me and I love him so so much. ❤️

I like forgot how to draw them today so. ill put old doodles where relevant. thank you for not asking name origins they're embarrassing. Theyre named Rinnie and Minho and they're only still called that because. Minnie. rest under cut.
🌼 they are my little chew toys, so I draw them at literally every age ever. Usually though they're around 17-25? ish. few months age gap usually to like. 5 years sometimes. 👍
🥊 Minho hates. he hates. hes a little hater all he likes doing is sleeping and looking out the window and watching creatures when hes outside. He loves the whimsy but doesn't believe in it. Rinnie plays/ed hockey for a while thats sort of his thing, he has fun. He really doesn't hate anything, or more can't hate anything? He's very if I'm positive about it things'll work out! It has to happen anyway! That being said cooking is stressful scary dont like it.
🎹 Minho makes music! I know very little about music so. I dont draw this a lot but it's a big thing for him :) And then Rinnie knits, but he's a very stressed out everything is hard any time not spent on the grind is time wasted kind of guy, which means. he doesn't hobby loads.

🧠 This is a hard one I just love them oTL My favourite thing about Minho... hes. cute <3 hes pretty. and mean. love that in a man. Rinnie is just a very comforting figure hes like. everything. hes cozy and nice and warm <3

uhm T.T this is. rinnie. i guess. from 2018 this was his birth. and then. agh the second one is only from 2020 ! ? Ive been on that grind huh. this is definitely not my first drawing of minho bc he was made in peak kpop era (2018-2019) but was all I could find 👍theyre. 5ish year old now god. but theyre barely the same people too.

Whoa! It's really raining. There was even thunder moments ago.
I've sorted out my bookcase that wanted to copy the leaning tower of Pisa and hopefully that's it on that front. Hm, need to get the notebook to see about drawing tomorrow.
There shall be words tonight still. Maybe even finish part 1. Or maybe that part should be all lol. I feel like the writing is super hard to achieve rn.
But then I also have those moments where I just want to write a porny drabble. xD
I'm wondering if I should enter Camp Nano in April and attempt to finish the IC AU but at the same time... and I want to enter the Endless Bigbang but, I have the plot yet I don't know if I can write those 15k words. OTL
First, the goal for this week is to write this small story. Next week it's the year of the OTP thing. And see if I can finish the reread of book 3 of FT. This thing has been paused for long enough. As well as the random recs.

Honest question, has anyone had this “Wacom_Tablet.exe not found” window before?
“Windows cannot access to the device, the access route or the specified file. It could be you don’t have the appropiate rights to access this element”. (more or less in English?)
And the tablet (Intuos, Intuos Pro, and/or Cintiq) still works?
Like I have mentioned before, it’s weird issue thing between Microsoft and Wacom, and this window is a little pesky persisting one (this is the third time it started appearing between changing laptops, reinstalling Windows 10, in, what? 4 years?).
I have read about ppl finding it and also not knowing what to do (or maybe it also became quite usual they don’t bother). I have reinstalled the Wacom driver once before and it kept appearing... and oddly enough? Even if this silly window appears, I have managed to get the tablet working as always, so I tried to not bother to do much after it... I mean, I did try to get rid off this issue with no success whatsoever (although I think a previous version of the Tablet driver DID mess up with my Tablet settings, and, who knows, maybe it’s the reason my old Windows 7 laptop started lagging up towards its last legs, even though it was an already old laptop with its own bunch of issues). So, I’m at a loss of words here.
This window appears just after I start on the computer, and I GUESS, sometimes it does appear before I shut it down and I’m not able to click it off since it shuts down quite quickly :’D. It’s a mess and I know, that whenever I install the Wacom tablet driver, this window is going to make its appearance rather sooner than later (usually 8 months after the fact, for some godforsaken reason? Coincidentally after that amount of months???)
My brother has an even older Bamboo tablet and he did tell me he had a similar issue with his old (Windows 8.1) laptop, until he basically got rid off of the driver... and just when he installed it on his work computer (with a Mac iOS), he had to uninstall it since it was making Adobe programs hard to work with, I GUESS no one is a winner (and yes, I know, it IS a Bamboo tablet model, relatively 10+ years old at this point, while my Intuos is fairly recent, but it is already 5+ years old).
Whenever I start having this thing, I always put my mind on actually getting a non-Wacom tablet next time (once I also have a new laptop, lol OTL), because it’s been 5 years and I always have to go through the same sh*t over, and over, and over. So, I also ask: what kind of alternative brands to Wacom for drawing tablets would you suggest me to get in the future?
Honestly, I have even though of getting a tablet to draw on it, but honestly I’m a potato on what art programs work there besides Procreate and maybe Medibang? (and I’ve heard that CSP manages a different license than the ones for PCs/Mac... but also, CSP is going through a quite weird time with their new subscription models and other sh*t annoucements no one is liking, so, lol)
I’m tired of this nonsense, once again, and I’m not a fan of “installing, uninstalling, reinstalling” especially when, in this case, it doesn’t fix anything and I have had several issues that made me (unavoidable) move to another laptop AND had to reinstall its OS because it had an issue beyond my control...

Hi! Sorry if you've already been asked this before but, do you have any advice for creating unique looking characters? Mine always tend to look kind of boring, I struggle with coming up with ways to make them look cool. I really admire how awesome all of your characters look and inspire to be able to make cool designs like you :)
I sat down to answer this but then ended up overthinking it and now I don’t know how to answer without 10 pages of me rambling otl. Like there’s so many facets to design; technical drawing skills, shape language, communicating story/personality/etc, breaking down styles you like to figure out ‘why’ you like them, learning to love a wide variety of traits/features, absorbing media that has a wide variety of characters, identifying and expanding your general interests, saving and studying images, etc etc.
The tldr is kinda just “i make characters I personally think are cool”. I like a lot of stuff and I’m very cognizant of the things I like. But also I realize “idk, if your oc looks boring to you, add stuff you think is cool” or “if your ocs have the same face, draw a different face” is kinda an obtuse reply lol.
Anyway I save images that give me ideas so I can go back to them for reference/study. It’s what I’ve always done, and I was actually super surprised to learn that not every artist does this? I think it’s hard to design anything if you don’t have a good library of things to pull inspiration from.
