TRTC Master Overview
The Road to Concordia is an alternate universe shared by myself, @anstarwar, @itsstrangelypermanent and @r2wedoomed, that roughly follows canon with the exception that a lot of characters who die, actually survive (because they deserved better, damn it). After Order 66 is where we diverge a bit more from canon, by having a lot of the freed clones settle on Concordia. For a rundown of events, we have made a timeline, which you can check out here!
Below is a cheat sheet for the most prominent of our OCs, with links to the ones who already have a character sheet.

Do you have any Ocs you’d like to talk about??
oh boy do i
im gonna introduce my scrungly my poor little meow meow my pathetic loser the love of my life. Arvid Sheldon Moreno <3
ill add trigger tags too of course but just in case: warning for abuse, violence, death, and kidnapping
first of all i am a Terrible artist but here's a commission i got of him from the lovely jester @/ghostcasket (with commissions still open here is the info post. go commission them he's wonderful)
Tumblr media
anyways. ARVID. basically he's a second generation oc from the project me and the other mod have. he is like. 3/4 alien?? something like that. but he was born on earth and that's where he grew up.
his parents are lovely and perhaps very strange but they are so good to their kids. Arvid is a mama's boy in particular he is very close to her and very protective of her.
so. what's wrong with him then???? surely he has Every Problem Ever. well he does. when he was a kid he didn't really have any friends. he was outcasted and bullied from various sources but none more so than Alex. fuck Alex we hate that guy.
Alex caused problems for Arvid basically his whole life. he was harassed and followed and beaten and manipulated and. well a lot of things!!
Arvid met and became friends with Izan who was infinitely better for Arvid and nicer and they were just really close. however that didn't stop Alex from being an asshole ya know. and it got even worse when Izan broke off from Arvid due to trying to manage his own trauma of a recent event unrelated to Arvid's stuff
so what did Arvid do? he clung to Alex and they became "friends". during this time Alex really drilled into Arvid's head the idea that he shouldn't cry, that he was weak, that no one else could tolerate him, and Arvid believed it all. things escalated until Alex and one of his other friends attacked and stabbed Arvid during a time when Izan and Arvid were trying to patch things up. and they left him there.
Izan got him help, but Arvid refused to let Alex get into trouble. in fact he had a strong fondness and loyalty to him and so what did he do? he confessed that he was in love with Alex. and Alex, ever amused and delighted by the power and control he had over Arvid, accepted his confession and they started dating.
and they didn't break up for a really really long time!
however this is all the backstory info! (well not all of his backstory but Some of it) this isn't even taking into account the story events! the story events being Arvid and his entire family gets kidnapped and taken to an alien planet because these fucked up brothers were trying to get and erase information on the esp experiments that happened during the first generation (meaning the things Arvid's parents went through) and. well long story short Dawson (does anyone remember when i talked about him?) was forced by his older brothers to kill Arvid and his mom. fucked up!!
but it's okay, isn't it? yeah Arvid comes back to life thanks to a wish made by Dawson on this super powerful wish granting magical rock. and they all live happily ever after on earth!
but not really.
when Arvid gets back he discovers that in addition to being brought back to life, he's now immortal. which is the LAST thing he wants because he didn't even want to be brought back to life if he was being honest. and Alex being the wonderful person he is decides to use this to his advantage (basically isn't it fun to kill your boyfriend over and over while he remains blindly loyal to you? Alex seems to think so)
however Arvid has other relationship drama going on. he has feelings for soo many other people but didn't feel worthy enough to be in a relationship with any of them. why would anyone ever like him back ya know?
except a lot of them did like him back. a lot actually. and Arvid starts dating others and building this lovely little polycule of people who really and genuinely love and care about him. and it takes a long time, but eventually Arvid breaks things off with Alex and tries to be happy. key word being that he tries because sometimes he doesn't do a very good job of it. he's still got it in his head that he deserves to suffer and will go on self destructive spirals now that he doesn't have a boyfriend beating him to shit constantly anymore.
some fun facts about Arvid is that he's a supervillain. i mean not Really a supervillain but he's a loser and tells everyone that he's evil. type of guy to steal from large corporations but not from local places. but this is all evil deeds he swears it. he also has plans to take over the world which he only shares with people he really trusts. he's so lame <3
he's also extremely emotional and will cry really easily but. well due to Alex Reasons he will belittle himself for showing sadness. he is obsessed with people seeing him as strong when his 5'3 ass can't even open a pickle jar
Arvid is also very very soft and sensitive about bugs he loves bugs!!! they were his best friends back when he didn't have any friends and even now he still treats them so gently. it's a really cool contrast to his usual edgy personality.
also!! he has really bad luck all the time <3 constantly tripping over stuff and falling in puddles and breaking his phone and. other bad luck stuff.
anyways i hope you enjoyed my insane ramblings about my scrungy little guy

if youre still interested can you maybe talk a bit more about your main ocs story in general ?
Yes yes of course!!
So The story starts off with our main character, Zekira. Zekira was born an orphan, adopted by a pirate captain at a young age. Growing up, she became an efficient swashbuckler and fearsome first mate of her adoptive father. She is charismatic and slick. Loving to tease and banter with her enemies. Their ship is raided by the terrifying pirate assassin Cassia (known by most as The Leviathan). She slaughters the crew, including Zeki and her father. Setting the ship alight in flames. Cassia sets off to continue her mission to kill every man, woman, being who calls themselves a pirate. Blinded by her past she seeks nothing but vengeance.
Zeki awakens in a strange place. She's dead, she's sure of it. Yet she feels so alive. In front of her is shelves and shelves of books that seem to go on for miles. In the middle of it a desk with a giant... Ball of fire. A library. The Librarian greets her, informing her that he was the one that brought her here and that he can offer her anything she desires, as long as she helps him in return. He promised her immortality for his freedom and she accepts. He tells her that the keys to free him are scattered around the globe, and that all of them are needed for his escape. From now on, each time she is killed on earth, she awakes here in the library until her body is healed enough for her soul to return. Each time she dies, she feels a little different, a little more powerful. Soon discovering she gained powers of the celestials.
The Librarian is not as happy with this deal as he appears to be. As a star/celestial body he is not one for company. Nor working with others. In fact he dislikes terrestrial life, seeing them as primitive and lesser. He is imprisoned in this library to teach him the opposite, but it makes him hate them more. Wishing he destroyed the whole planet when he threw that meteor at those lizards. He's stuck up and has a bit of a god complex, but uses a front of politeness and good manners to get his way.
After Zekira gains immortality, she awakes a small explorer ship. Being rescued from the thrashing ocean waves and assumed drowned, the crew is shocked to find her breathing. The captain of this ship is a woman, Margot. Margot is kind and curious of this mysterious woman. Enraptured by her, Zeki is able to convince this explorer to allow her to stay on the ship. She soon becomes somewhat of a co captain. Zekira spearheading the journeys they take to feed into Margot's want for adventure and danger while also helping her complete her mission.
Meanwhile, Cassia learns of this pirate who arose from the dead. She makes it her sworn mission to find a way to kill Zekira for good

Hi friends, and happy Friday!
Yesterday the sims team released its first stuff pack since Paranormal Stuff, so I wanted to give my thoughts and pseudo-review it for you all. I'm not sure if these little reviews are helpful in any way, but I've found that forcing myself to take the time and really isolate the new features, CAS items, and objects has made me appreciate, incorporate, and analyze them among the existent content a little better.
So, with that being said, here's my long and unbiased review of the CAS items from the Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack! ↓
Let's begin with the outfits shown above. This pack provided items that I absolutely love and have been asking for whilst also giving items that are just...meh at best. (By "meh" I mean that after this review, they'll be forgotten in the catalogue.)
There are multiple variants of apron outfits for both frames and I liked all of them. I'm serious, I even liked the apron dress: it's a little frumpy, but it feels like a perfect cuddly grandma or elderly sim outfit. Also that shirt with the little towel over the shoulder in male frame? Love love love that. Crazy about it, in fact! But beyond the outfits themselves, I really like the color swatches in this pack and the fact that they have clean and dirty swatches. I say it every time, but I love the lived-in, imperfect CAS and Build/Buy items that the sims team has been rolling out lately and I hope they keep up with that style.
I also really love the turtleneck jumpsuit and honestly, it may be one of my favorite CAS pieces to date. I love all the swatches and the way it fits on sims of all sizes. They have been giving us a lot of jumpsuits lately, but this one stands out from the others in a positive way.
As for the clothing items I didn't care for and/or could do without: the one pair of pants that came with this SP. It's not that they're bad or anything; the swatches are fine, they just don't stand out as a staple item to me. Same with the chef coat - it's a nice piece, it has a variety of color and style options, but I'm not sure how often I'll use it as it's so specific/niche. Both perfectly adequate for what they are though!
However, the hoodie, t-shirt with the little ascot, and graphic tee did nothing for me. Some of the swatches on the t-shirt were good (the fire chicken for example) while some felt weird and wildly out of place with the existing animation style/graphics in the game. The shirt with the ascot is just okay, I like how it fit my sims but some of the designs are a bit on the nose and corny. I can't emphasize enough that some of the designs on the shirts were just decent while the other half were really, really bad.
The single pair of shoes in this pack aren't great either. I just thought they looked a little underwhelming, I had higher expectations I guess. I have clog/croc cc that looks much better than what came with this pack if I'm being honest, so I could leave these out all together. Plus, they warp the male ankles significantly, so I couldn't even use them on my male sim as demonstrated in the picture below.
Tumblr media
I've seen a few people confused about the gloves that came with this pack, but I actually like them. I especially like the latex/rubber gloves: I would have a home chef wear these at their pop-up-shop for the play pretend impression of food prep safety (like in real life). It's silly, it doesn't impact gameplay, but it helps my imagination and storytelling so that's a fun touch to me. Any touch of realism is a win in my book, and they're also nice to have if you have Dine Out as well! Come to think of it, a lot of the CAS items from this pack would incorporate quite seamlessly with that pack if not for the fact that Dine Out is virtually unplayable. Anyway!
The earrings and necklace are cute, even though the knife is a little chunky. I love silly jewelry though, so I will definitely use all three of them. The tattoo, I'm sorry to say, is kind of goofy as fuck lmao. Just not my personal taste. "A" for effort though? I feel like they could have kept with the chef/foodie tattoo concept and been less on the nose, but it's fine. If nothing else, it's silly and it is in a good location at least? At least they've been trying to add tattoos in the last few packs after going a long while completely ignoring that category all together?
As for the hats...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Need we talk about the hats? They're bulky, chunky, they don't lay on any sim's head properly and it only gets worse as they get younger. We all joke about it, but I don't know that the Sims team has ever seen an actual human wearing a hat before. You'd think after we complain and make jokes about it every pack, they would get the message.
Regardless, the hats themselves would have been, objectively, super adorable if they fit correctly... but they don't. The swatches are pretty fun, the texture is actually nice. So annoying! I hope someone comes out with a default replacement fix because I would use these for my younger sims a lot.
Now...the hairs!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first scarf hairdo in fem frame looks SO GOOD. Why it did not come in male frame, I will never know. It's one of my favorite hairs to date. Also the curly hairdo for male frames is so cute and like nothing else we have in the game, so that was nice too (and it also should have came in fem frame, but again I digress). I want to give them props as well for the short cut with shaved sides - that is one of the more fashionable, practical, reusable male hairs that have come with a pack. They always somehow manage to mess "staple" pieces up by doing something funky (looking at you Cats and Dogs hair with a fucking pawprint shaved on the side lmaoooo) but this hair is simple and good. Love that. I do feel like there are similar cuts to this already in game, but they don't look as good... so congrats to them for finally doing this haircut right on try 4 or 5 lmao.
I so so so wish they would do what CC creators do and create a headband overlay in the hats category so you could change the hairband color because I actually love the different swatches... I just hate that they're limited to certain hair colors! It's not like anyone is pairing a hat with a hairdo that has a scarf or headband, so whyyyyyy aren't they giving us that option yet? Hopefully cc creators pull through on this one as well.
Otherwise I genuinely have no complaints about any of the hairs. I think they're all quite nice!
Now onto the least exciting part of this review...the littles.
Tumblr media
Not much to say about any of this: it's all the same stuff from the adult CAS items, with a lot left out. I would have liked to see an item made specifically for these life stages in mind, but that didn't happen, unfortunately. Everything they converted felt kind of random, and there were things they didn't convert that I thought were a missed opportunity.
For instance: I don't know why the hoodie didn't get converted, or the pants? They didn't make anything original for children, so I don't think it would have been much trouble to convert one or both of these items. In my opinion, the swatches on the hoodie would have probably suited kids better than the adults, and I feel like hoodies are a staple item in every child's closet so you can never really have too many? But yeah, big miss.
The random onesie for infants was weird and I felt like it had fewer swatches than it should have. Maybe they're trying to throw infants in as they're a new life stage and we have so little for them? I don't know. I thought it was weird toddlers got nothing but one singular hairstyle and the giant hat (all life stages got that). They could have at least given toddlers the onesie, too...or even the t-shirt. Regardless, this pack wasn't for kids/toddlers/infants, that much is clear, but they could have been incorporated better with a little more effort, and that's what frustrates me the most!
I'll be talking about gameplay in the next post. If you read all of this, I love you very much. You could have googled "Home Chef Hustle CAS items," but you didn't!! You read my rambles instead and for that I am so thankful. Big smooch on the forehead from me to you. <3
That's a wrap for now. See you in the next one, friends!

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Whew, I'm finally done! I was so excited for her to finally take a form and not just be an idea in my head ;u;
Meet Halcyon, the judge of replikas whose work she reviews and decides if an unit should be replaced; she also studies behavior of all replikas/gestalts she encounters and keeps a handy database on them.
She's still a wip (idk if I'll keep all those letters in her acronym for example, same with her type) but I already love her lots <3
Version w/o the classified prototype thingies under the cut!

You guys wanna hear about the Festelcan because I am ready to discuss the Festelcan!
Festelcan are an alien race native to Vytas, an earth-like planet with one main landmass that hosts a variety of different environments and lifeforms. They have long bodies, short legs, large eyes with no visible pupils, retractable claws, long pointed ears, and pitch black skin contrasted with brightly colored markings.
They can be mistaken for dragons, but Festelcan are not considered true dragons.
There are four different varieties of Festelcan; fire, storm, toxic, and ice. All have unique traits that allow them to thrive in different parts of the supercontinent.
A more in-depth look provided under the cut. Note that things are subject to change.
Festelcan themselves are omnivores, and typically eat anything in their environment, be it plant, animal, or even ore.
They have what we consider long lifespans, often living around 150 to 200 years. They reproduce very infrequently, and only have one pup at a time. Pups are born blind, deaf, and lacking any ornamentation or wings. Pups are typically raised by their parents, although it's encouraged for the rest of the community to pitch in and help, too. Once they reach young adulthood at around 18-20 years they'll cocoon themselves and develop into their adult form, adorned with functioning wings, horns, spines, manes, etc. Sometimes this transformation happens early, though it is extremely rare and often a sign that something is wrong.
Most Festelcan live in the southern portion of the supercontinent, the exception being the Ice Festelcan, who live up north, separated from everyone else.
Festelcan occupy four main regions that also serve as nations, and each region typically is dominated by a specific type of Festelcan.
FIRE FESTELCAN
Fire Festelcan, live mostly in Scorchrocks, a quite barren region located around a massive volcano on the western side of the supercontinent.
They commonly sport orange, yellow, and red markings, with spots being quite common. All adults have wings, and oftentimes horns, spikes, and spines. Fire Festelcan are also on average the largest Festelcan variant.
They can withstand extremely high temperatures, being immune to being burnt by fire and lava. They also produce a very hot stream of fire from their mouths, which is an excellent weapon against other Festelcan types.
They eat the ores and other minerals that are located within the volcano. They'll take any prey where they can get it, but the fauna that does exist is either massive and extremely dangerous, or small and escapes with ease. The few plants that thrive here are too tough and taste horrible to the Fire Festelcan.
Scorchrocks is ruled by a queen, and the role is typically passed down to her daughters. It's said that the first queen was chosen after she had saved her people from an unusually large infernal worm, large invertebrates that prey on Festelcan. Ever since then, it's been tradition for princesses to prove their worth by taking on an infernal worm in combat. If they fail, they are barred from being queen. This tradition has its critics, some deeming it too risky to send an heir to possibly die, especially if there is no one to take her place. In the event the current queen does die and leaves no heirs, with no female relatives that can be chosen instead, the people will vote on a new queen.
Festelcan as a species just aren't big on clothes, especially Scorchrocks residents, but the Festelcan of Scorchrocks do love one particular thing: Jewelry. Scorchrocks is full of precious gems that Fire Festelcan simply adore. They're excavated by miners and given to craftsmen to turn into the most exquisite jewelry on Vytas. Scorchrocks will trade their jewelry with other regions. Jewelry is seen as a status symbol, the more you have to wear, the more well off, important, and respected you are. The queen, for instance, typically covers her horns, neck, tail, and ears with the most high-quality of gems.
Scorchrocks isn't the best region for building structures for housing. Wood will burn if used, and the rocks aren't much better as building materials. Volcanic eruptions and other events can totally destroy anything they do successfully build. So, the Festelcan of Scorchrocks carve out elaborate tunnel systems underground. Their homes may not be comfortable for most, but Fire Festelcan find the hot, rocky tunnels plenty cozy.
STORM FESTELCAN
Storm Festelcan mostly live in Rainhigh, a large cloud forest just east of Scorchrocks. This region sees a lot of precipitation. That, combined with the high altitudes and thick fog make Storm Festelcan feel right at home. There are also small numbers of Fire and Toxic Festelcan who live here, though Toxic Festelcan are more common, since they find Rainhigh more comfortable.
Storm Festelcan typically come in different shades of blue, pink, and purple. Markings vary wildly but patterns resembling rain or lightning bolts are common. Adults may have antler-like horns, manes, fins, and barbels or tendrils. Adults can also fly, not needing wings to do so.
They thrive in bad weather. They are immune to being electrocuted and can control storms to an extent. They can't summon storms, but when storms do pass by Rainhigh, they are able to manipulate them. Some Storm Festelcan can control the winds, others the rain, and quite a few can use the storms to summon lightning bolts. They usually cannot control multiple things at once. Additionally, Storm Festelcan have breath attacks that they can use at any time. They either can spew powerful blasts of wind, beams of electricity, or spray jets of pressurized water.
There are a few species of plant in Rainhigh which bear fruit that Storm Festelcan find irresistible. There's plenty of small animals that they can also try their luck with, and a river located at the base of the mountains provide lots of aquatic life that Storm Festelcan eat regularly.
Rainhigh is ruled by a council of five Storm Festelcan, four councilors who typically make the rules and an archcouncilor who oversees everything. Councilors and Archcouncilors are voted in by the people and stay in power until they either die or retire. Archcouncilors break ties when the rest of the council cannot make a decision, and they meet with leaders of other regions while the councilors stay behind.
Storm Festelcan are often skilled artists. Rainhigh is home to painters, sculptors, musicians, and more. Music in particular is very popular, and Storm Festelcan have a variety of different genres, to gentle, graceful songs that incorporate rain or wind to bombastic, energetic songs that incorporate thunder and lightning. They dance a lot, too, usually by performing elaborate aerial maneuvers or busting it down on the ground.
Rainhigh is filled with towers, open plazas, and and several kinds of housing. Many entrances are located above the ground, only accessible by flight. Because only adult Storm Festelcan can fly, most buildings have at least one accessible entrance for youngsters. They typically use dried plants, similar to straw as bedding.
Rainhigh is currently at war with Scorchrocks over territory, and while the fighting is growing increasing unpopular by civilians, their leaders continue the battling anyway.
TOXIC FESTELCAN
Toxic Festelcan mostly live in Greendepths, a dense jungle south of Scorchrocks and Rainhigh. It's filled with giant trees and little to no sunlight.
Toxic Festelcan are the lightest, most agile Festelcan variants. They are longer and thinner than the others, with adults sporting flexible spines and fins that let them glide around with ease. Their markings come in any bright color, they have prehensile tails, the largest eyes and best night vision of any Festelcan type, and they have both fangs to inject venom and a throat pouch so they can spray venom too. Even their flesh is mildly poisonous. They are speedy, excellent climbers, and can maneuver through Greendepths better than anyone else. Other Festelcan find them kind of off-putting and a bit intimidating. If they could fly, they'd be considered the most horrifying Festelcan on the planet.
Greendepths hosts many organisms besides the Toxic Festelcan who are either poisonous or venomous. Toxic Festelcan, being immune to both venom and poison of nearly any kind, do not care and simply eat anything they get their claws on. They are quite the chefs, and absolutely love creating exquisite dishes. Unfortunately other Festelcan will likely be poisoned by most of what they make and it's very hard to test what is and isn't safe without killing people.
Greendepths usually has two monarchs at a time. Toxic Festelcan aren't Matriarchal like the Fire Festelcan of Scorchrocks so gender doesn't matter. Both monarchs share the same duties, making decisions for Greendepths together. When a monarch dies or retires a new monarch is voted in.
The residents of Greendepths live in large tree houses, constructed out of wood. Rarely do they have their homes on the ground. The outside of their tree houses usually have "handles" that jut out so it's easier for the Festelcan, especially pups, to grab onto.
Greendepths never gets involved with whatever conflicts Scorchrocks and Rainhigh have. They readily trade with both nations, and no one is willing to start fights with Greendepths, as both Scorchrocks and Rainhigh are kind of terrified of it and it's inhabitants.
ICE FESTELCAN
The other Festelcan do not know that Ice Festelcan even exist. They live in the northernmost parts of Vytas, cut off from the other Festelcan types, in the frigid Everfreeze region.
Ice Festelcan are the shortest, stockiest Festelcan variety. They have pale, jagged markings, usually white, grey, or light blue, smaller ears, shorter legs, more body fat, and ice-like spines. Most Festelcan cannot tolerate the cold very well, but Ice Festelcan thrive and feel right at home in it, being immune to freezing to death. They can breathe freezing beams of ice from their mouths, and they possess webbed paws, giving them the best swimming ability of any Festelcan type. They can hold their breaths significantly longer than other Festelcan. They cannot fly or glide.
Everfreeze has little to no plant or animal life, being a barren icy landscape all the time. Everything the Ice Festelcan eat comes from the ocean. They dive to great depths to hunt, and often hunt cooperatively to bring down large game to feed as many people as possible. This is, however, very dangerous, as the waters here are filled with massive marine predators that will happily prey on careless Ice Festelcan. One of which is the Polar Worm, a relative of the Infernal Worm. Polar Worms are purely aquatic, and terrorize the Ice Festelcan as much as the Infernal Worm terrorizes the Fire Festelcan.
Everfreeze doesn't have a set leader or group of leaders. The majority of the population is divided into smaller villages, comprised of one to a few families and some unrelated individuals. The oldest members make decisions for their village. The Ice Festelcan are not unified in the way the other Festelcan are. There isn't that much major conflict between villages, most of it typically being family drama, as they don't fight over resources.
Since freezing to death is not an issue, even for newborn Ice Festelcan, housing isn't as big of an issue to them as it would be to other Festelcan. Most Ice Festelcan simply dig out burrows in the snow or ice, to hide themselves from the few terrestrial predators that may pose a threat to them. There are several villages that choose to make huts out of the bones, armor, and hide of their prey instead.
Many Ice Festelcan have tried to explore South of Everfreeze, but they do not handle warmer temperatures very well and every attempt led to them turning back. Who knows what would have happened if they had managed to find the other Festelcan nations?
OTHER INFO
Festelcan as a whole have only been around for a few thousand years.
Festelcan are basically still in the stone age. They don't have any forms of technology and are not space faring.
Festelcan did not evolve on Vytas. They didn't really evolve at all, actually. Festelcan are not a natural species and were instead created and then planted onto Vytas. They do not know this.
The Storm Festelcan considered Cerulean a terrifying anomaly. When she was a pup, her mentor had been teaching her to use her powers, and her electricity badly wounded him. The council quickly got involved and the archcouncilor, Shockjaw, was fearful of her power and wanted her dead. Cerulean's parents tried to defend her but Shockjaw murdered them both, chasing Cerulean deep into the forest before he lost her. He had hoped she died, but in reality she was saved and transported off world by Krim. Cerulean was presumed dead.
Shockjaw had tried to convince everyone that Cerulean was too dangerous to be kept alive, and hid the truth of her parents' murders. Downpour, Cerulean's former mentor, doesn't believe that she should have been killed, but the council silences and threatens him everytime he attempts to defend her.
Cerulean however, has held a grudge ever since, and plans to enact her revenge.

TELL ME ABOUT T’STREI (did I spell that right) 🥰
You did!! I would LOVE to talk about my babygirl I have had her as an OC for sooooooo so long and she is everything to me
T’Strei is half-Vulcan, half-Klingon, born to a Klingon mother (J’egrahl) and a Vulcan father (Solek)
There’s a whole lot to T’Strei’s backstory. Like, so much that I have an entire timeline written up. It’s quite long. So I won’t get into it a lot here, in the interest of being somewhat brief. But it’s essential to know that J’egrahl raised T’Strei alone, and also she’s the Worst
T’Strei’s story is, first and foremost, about healing and self-acceptance. She first arrives on DS9 as a patient, though she’s already requested to be transferred there. She was recently rescued from a rogue group of Cardassians, having been captured by them prior to the end of the occupation, and she refuses to talk about her ordeal. Instead, she recovers, and throws herself straight into work as a security officer
She’s a cold, severe kind of person. Incredibly blunt, strictly logical, pretty typical for a Vulcan. But she has a temper, and she tends towards recklessness and impulsivity on the job. She hits first and asks questions later. She clashes with Odo constantly. She barely speaks to anyone unless she has to. She just goes through the motions day by day
But, like I said, this is a story about healing and self-acceptance. T’Strei does realize she wants something else with her life. She does make friends, albeit very slowly. And eventually she decides to change tracks, and she goes into medicine and works a lot with Julian. It’s a very important thing she realizes, that her hands don’t have to be weapons of destruction. She has a lot of passion for medicine, and takes great pride in being a nurse
She’s a deeply damaged person. There’s a lot of hurt in her, a lot of rage, a lot of trauma. She slowly comes to terms with that, and with herself. She finds a home with people who love her, even with the things she’s done. She finds a place to stick with through hell and high water. The road isn’t perfect, it’s bumpy and bruising and sometimes it hurts, but she stays on it. After a lifetime of never fitting in, she wouldn’t dare trade this. Not for anything
She’s a living weapon who realizes she doesn’t have to be. The daughter who refuses to bear the sins of her mother. Someone who has never fit in and so carves a place for herself. And she is also my baby my cinnamon APPLE and I think about her 24/7

Psychonauts OC time!!! Meet Shapur! Cousin of Gisu who @geodesicpsychoisolation and I co-parent.
Basic facts hes a med student studying Neurology who IS psychic but isn't particularly strong. More Facts under the cut.
Shapur is the older cousin of Gisu, by a few years. Like Gisu he's an only child so the two of them spent time together.
Very smart and very intelligent. His mom pushed him alot and helped him start studying neuroscience
He is a psychic who (not by want) specializes in draining energy, specifically negative emotions. This can also be called Psychic Vampireism. He has mixed feelings on this psy power. In generally he doesn't like it as he doesn't like vampires but he still finds it pretty useful.
His natural personality is assholeish so by making people ticked off/annoyed hes able to get some energy from them so at the end of the day he's okay with his psy power.
like a week or two before psychonauts 2 starts he visted the motherlobe to gloat over Gisu and generally be a little bitch. Like he implied to Morris he was gonna tell people about his pirate radio but never did because it was just to stir up emotions
i cannot stress this enough he sucks

Introduction to Drolism - The Gods
Many of the rich and mysterious cultural traditions of Iego stem from the planet's native religion, Drolism.
Drolism, known in Iegoan as Droltara, centers around the worship of a trinity of deities: Drol, the primary deity and namesake of the religion; his daughter, Ashi; and his son, Dasho. The deities themselves are the manifestations of different aspects of the life breath or energy of the universe. This is a Force-based religion, so "life breath" can be interpreted as meaning the Force itself.
There are many parallels between Drolism and the religion of the Mortis Gods. They are both Force-based religions centering around the worship of three deities--represented as a father, a son, and a daughter--so some scholars believe they may have originated from the same ancient belief system.
Drol, God of All Things, Supreme Lord of Iego, is the incarnation of the life breath of the universe. He is a neutral deity, as he is capable of both protecting and punishing the people of Iego, hence why the Separatists exploited people's faith in him to cover up their operations on the planet. He is strongly associated with storms--something that both nourishes and harms--and his primary symbols are water and lightning, which are deemed sacred. The Mortis God he is analogous to is the Father.
Ashi, Goddess of Light, Lady of Mercy, is the daughter of Drol. She is strongly associated with the Moons of Iego and the native Diathim, also known as "angels," who are said to have been created in her image. From an outside perspective, she represents an incarnation of the Light Side of the Force. The Mortis God she is analogous to is the Daughter. One of the most widely practiced sects of Drolism is dedicated to her, known as Ashideyi, or the Way of Ashi. A primary feature of this sect is its emphasis on medicine and healing; as a result, its followers on average have long and ailment-free lifespans, which is ultimately the basis of the belief that Iegoans are immortal.
Dasho, God of Darkness, Lord of Chaos, is the son of Drol. He is strongly associated with the underground caverns of Iego and the native Maelibi, also known as "demons," who are said to have been created in his image. From an outside perspective, he represents an incarnation of the Dark Side of the Force. The Mortis God he is analogous to is the Son. Legend has it that a deviant sect of Drolism exists known as Dashodeyi, or the Way of Dasho, that practices black magic in the form of ritual sacrifices.

About my worldbuilding: the Tega'si
The Tega’si are a species of aliens from the planet Tega. Tega is almost completely covered on water, and Tega even means “water”—“Tega’si” means “from the water.” Tega’si live both on land and underwater, and as a result have both gills and lungs and have better night vision than humans. A lot of what’s edible to Tega’si on Tega is harmful to humans, but Tega’si cannot have dairy—they’re all lactose intolerant.
Some more interesting things about them: Tega'si are born with no legs and no working lungs. Instead, they have a tail and must be kept underwater until their lungs fully develop around 1 year of age. (They can be taken out of water for short periods of time). Their legs also grow in around the same time, and their tail continues to shrink until they reach anywhere from 8-13, and it drops off. They live around the same length as humans.
Tumblr media
Some of them are also born with markings--like these jellyfish rings.
Tumblr media
They also have the possibility to develop magic, either aethermancy (light magic) or umbromancy (shadow magic). Each type of magic has their own subset of abilities, which magic users can choose which ones they specialize in—or dip a little into them all! (I'd talk more about the magic system, but that would take it's own post)

You said you're excited to spend more time on Sur'Kesh in Empire of Preys, and I'm excited for that too! We only got to spend like a minute on Sur'Kesh in canon, and I've always wished that we'd gotten to see more of that world. What do you imagine salarian architecture and design sensibilities as being like? I won't ask you to spoil the story, but I'm curious about any worldbuilding you've done along those lines that you'd like to share!
HELLO!!
Sorry for taking so long to reply to this wonderful ask! I kind of pondered a lot on what to talk about and how much I should talk about; but since you focused on architecture, I think I'll focus on that!
So, in The Empire of Preys, we spend most of our time (barred from one scene that takes place in a more remote city) in the country of Nkoma. What we call country and what salarians call country differs slightly, however: think of it more as an administrative district that exists more for the sake of resource repartition and ease of organization at a medium scale rather than a place, or an identity with strong cultural attachments that would involve nationalism or things like this --this would be much more true for cities (a practice encouraged and mirror by asaris) and clans in general.
There are two main focuses in Nkoma.
The first one is the city of Talat, considered a hotspot of diplomacy (where the administrative body called the Grand Symposium has its seat --basically where the Salarian Union is being ruled), business and tourism that spreads from the remnants of an old volcano all the way to the seaside coast. Its main landmark is a huge water dam used to control the level of the internal lake, assist with irrigation of the agricultural activity spreading around the city, and also partially turned into a luxury hotel. It's also the city that looks the most like the Citadel, Thessia, Armali, and every huge metropolis in the galaxy: it has tons of immigration and is the most overtly capitalist, with the least amount of relics from their past that isn't directly turned into museums.
The second is the city of Leyjung, which is Nkoma's second biggest city (and the biggest focus of the two within the narrative). It is much deeper inlands, deep within the rainforest --it's actually pretty close to the STG quarters that we see ingame (and MAYBE, maybe, we could see it in TEoP as well....)
Tumblr media
It's a very old city with tons of history: it is roughly divided between the old town (tucked inside a valley following a large river) and the newer town that looms over it from the cliffsides. Both towns are riddled with technology; it's just that the old town still preserves a lot of its ocher-based and troglodyte buildings that allows for natural temperature regulation on top of being monuments to the city's past as a huge capital of the (since defunct) phassen empires.
The traditional structure of the salarian clan does not account for individuality. Therefore, the oldest kind of salarian building is the House: a very long building built over generations that try to account for the needs of the clan, a place where every salarian with a clan is always welcomed (but they have, for example, no concept of individual bedrooms; though people with importance within the clan have individual offices). The whole clan very rarely live together all at once; they generally have small individual open rooms that will sustain a dozen of salarians at a time (for example a ton of small kitchens rather than one big room where everybody eats all at once, and no real concept for group meals except for big celebrations). They also include walk-in showers everywhere; the goal is just to let water splash over you for a few seconds to cool off, and you're not even expected to remove your clothes while doing so (they also have communal pools for longer soaks, where public nudity is 100% fine).
Leyjung still has a large number of old clan Houses that have not been repurposed into commercial hubs or broken into smaller apartments like in Talat; most notably, the biggest Linron House is still in use while being considered a remarkable historical artefact as the history of that clan and that town stretch back for at least a thousand years.
Tumblr media
One of the biggest challenges of the architecture of the town is to account for the extreme humidity: the rainforest surrounding and permeating the town is so dense that, twice a day, once at dawn (feshe qer) and then a little after midday (selecat qer), huge clouds of vapor start rising from the surrounding canopy as the air gets more and more suffocating, until it all breaks down into a brief torrential rain that soaks everything back late in the afternoon, and makes the evening and night the most pleasant temperature-wise. It happens... basically every day.
The town's architecture is therefore very concerned with avoiding wind and thunder damage, as well as trying to prevent stagnant water from swamping down the infrastructure. For example, hydrophobic plexiglas is very widely used. A lot of streets meant for pedestrians, especially in the older town, kind of follow this format (sorry for the janky perspectiiiive I'm bad at thiiis)
Tumblr media
Using a lot of non-corroding mesh fence and avoiding to put salarians directly on ground, using a lot of triangular structures to let the rainfall glide to canals that are pushed back to the main river, with a ton of plants to absorb the excess humidity as much as possible and provide some relief from the heat.
The main problem that Leyjung face is: when is modernization too much modernization? What is preserving tradition, and what is refusal to change? What's opposition to galactic gentrification, and what is straight-up xenophobia? What's power to the individual VS what is the destruction of the collective?
Let's have Elections about it, maybe!! Surely that will solve everything!!
