Wait a goddamn minute
So apparently, there is a 1934 movie adaptation of PUF/Pál uctai fiúk/The Paul Street Boys named "No greater glory" but apparently nobody in the PUF talks about this movie?? Or even knows that it exists in the first place?!
OK, so, is there anyone in the PUF fanbase who has seen the 1934 movie? If yes, may I ask you about thoughts about this movie?
Anyway, here's an image from the 1934 movie

Genuinely I think about the first arc all the time. I know there's a lot to criticise but the dragonets' character arcs & the morals of each book were sooo spot on. The way each dragonet reacted to their abuse differently & different sides of each issue were shown--my god. Clay learning he was meant to be a protector, not a warrior. Tsunami feeling like a monster for the first time in her life when she was protecting her friends the only way she knew how. Learning everything that was stolen from her by the Talons, her culture, her language, her mother tongue. Having complicated feelings toward Webs (who was explicitly acknowledged as an enabler! That hit so close to home when i first read it in like 5th grade). Glory having no sympathy for her abusers while the others still clung to them (glory's whole arc is so. argh). Starflight coming to terms with the fact that he'll never be the all-powerful prophecy child he was always told he'd grow into. Sunny remaining kind despite it all. ARGH

Last Dragonborn: The Jarl asked for a favour, and, in the spirit of goodwill, I agreed.
Lydia: What did you get out of it?
Last Dragonborn: Nothing.
Lydia: What did you get out of it apart from nothing?
Last Dragonborn: Money.

Father Vega: revolutionary priest at his finest. And that mustache is a thing of beauty. This movie also has Oscar Isaac as a much less holy revolutionary.
For Greater Glory: The True Story of Cristiada (2012) (it's a very selective pro-catholic church version of the story so maybe not so "true")

For some reason, now I have the temptation to rewrite No Greater Glory (the 1934 Pál uctai fiúk/The Paul Street Boys movie).
I mean, I just want to revamp that movie by adding the Putty Club, the tension between the Putty Club and Nemescek, Racz etc.
Or when the Putty Club comes to apologise to Nemescek, they realise that he's dead and they're too late.
Or when they promote him as captain, they realise that Erno is severly ill and might die.
Damn, the possibilities with this rewrites are endless.

For Greater Glory
Not me sharing a scene from a movie that depicts some horrific history on this Feast Day of the Mexican Martyrs while also showing off my man who starred in the movie.
