I used to think clubby was just some funny dude who liked to role-play, and when I found him roleplaying with one of my besties, I felt like I wanted to rp with him too, but I guess I didn't want to pop in and ask him if he wanted to rp cuz that would be rude.

and then a year later he sent me a note asking if I wanted to rp with him. I said ok, he asked me what my interests were which was weird? since I could use any interest (except problematic stuff of course) and when he started the rp.

I was excited until he went "ok now I have this character hypnotize this character and make them act like a baby" and then he went on to mention fucking diaper changing on them. and even worse? he chose underage characters for the diaper shit, like Lincoln loud, wednesday Addams, some total drama contestants, I don't recall which one he used, but I do remember they're canonically underage, and of course his 9 year old oc eduard. idk why he made that oc 9 smh

and later on one of my friends called pedoverse out on his discord server after he sent him a note asking to rp, and my friend said he randomly sent a whole lot of people notes asking to rp which is annoying. he also had a channel about him (his discord server had separate channels to rant on problematic users like him) and there a user showed a screenshot about their friend getting uncomfortable after dream wanted to involve teenage twilight sparkle in diapers, and asking "wHy DoN't YoU lIkE pEoPlE wItH sPeCiAl NeEdS"? after the friend said they were uncomfortable.

and speaking of special needs, I am an autistic person myself, and that excuse he made to do disgusting rps with minors and just be a creep in general really fucking offends me. and how he didn't cut ties from that cuck who drew porn of Cassandra and still supported menslady even after reading a comment about her homophobia further describes how he doesn't deserve to be respected on the internet as a whole. so yeah. after seeing the news and him being a fucking creep in my notes, I've lost respect in him.

LOVE, VICTOR S3 SPOILERS

listen. i love LOVE love “Love, Victor”. it’s such a comfort show, and i truly love each and every character and how they have slowly developed over the seasons. mia in her walk through family and love and what she deserves, andrew in his redemption arc to show he’s a true softie at heart and just wants to be cared and nurtured too, lake and her unpacking of why she cares so much about social media presence, how she looks — her mother, and why she chose felix the first time, felix himself where he finds the love he’s been searching for throughout his whole life, rahim and his story of coming out and being true to himself, pilar and her constantly being a badass (she’s my absolute favorite in her angsty teen ways), and even the parents to where they are now. each and every character had something to share and grow from, and what i truly loved from the show was that it would be realistic in its endings.

season 3 was very interesting to watch. it showed the reality of benji and what addiction looks like and how to get better, and for a relationship to work, one must be okay themselves. it was good, very healthy of benji to do.

i hated nick but i liked the aspect of making sure you’re safe and getting tested and that sometimes casual is cool and sometimes relationship is good (maybe even better)

i loved lake and lucy’s story, it was beautiful, it was healthy that felix and her realized their incompatibility, because felix’s description of him being a fish for her to only die and her not caring was sad and obsolete—

and in season 2 to see how pilar and felix slow burn and love formed was beautiful. you truly saw how wonderful their relationship could and was, she was his perfect match and his dorky ass was too to her, but in s3 it all crumbled because he was wise and listened to the parents? it showed her insecurity like in s1 with her old boyfriend when she wanted to send racy pics to keep him around and then she wanted to have sex with felix to keep him around as if that was all their relationship was made out to me. felix loved her and i think if pilar let him talk to her ? and idk it just seemed like she had a lot of shit to get thru with him and usually they were really good at talking to each other, conversation always flowed easily in s2 but suddenly they couldn’t talk things out in s3? it just didn’t make sense or speak to what their whole journey was to get together, and how they were perfect together. i understood the ending of how pilar didn’t wanna separate felix from the family but i didn’t get his speech of not putting her first and also her saying he quickly chose her family over her, like i get being offended but like i felt like they should’ve talked about how they felt and empathize with each other and work it out. i wanted them together since they worked hard to BE together smh. idk, it seemed unfair.

i liked how mia and andrew fought against the odds and her embracing scary, but i was concerned about andrews devotion towards mia. i’m glad she and her dad told him not to throw his future away. but i do love them togeyher.

idk i feel like this shouldn’t have been the last season. i get what michael cimino said when he felt like this season closed the chapter and you felt like you didn’t need to keep watching to make sure victor was okay but i didn’t feel that entirely. like i understood the ending and was okay, but i also wasn’t for some of the other students. like andrew and mia are good, lake and lucy too, but i felt like there was a lot more for felix and pilar, and to know how the electrical business goes for the family. how the brother gets thru stuff. idk maybe i’m more attached? but i felt like there was more. idk i was unsatisfied (maybe okay with it) but just unfulfilled with the last season. idk 8 episodes wasn’t enough :(

I watched this episode a few days after going to a funeral for a second cousin of mine. Non-sequitura Disney in-depth analysis (after making a tier list)

Warning: SUPER longform. If you don’t know a movie well, you should skip the summary. I tried to be light on spoilers, but they’re there.

I went chronologically from favorite to least favorite. So S tier is, in order from fave to least fave, The Incredibles, WALL-E, then Zootopia.

S tier (Something I consider high quality AND a movie I greatly enjoy. I would love more Disney movies be like this.)

The Incredibles - one of my favorite movies of all time, possibly THE favorite. Rockin social commentary, epic action scenes, memorable characters, not a minute of screentime wasted, great take on the Fantastic Four, hilarious parts for both adults and children, an interesting villain, etc.��

WALL-E - I love how social commentary was done here. Also skies above, what a beautiful love story. Really blazed a trail in non-verbal storytelling (especially given it was an animated kids film!) Robot animations are particularly delightful. 

Zootopia - another social message delivered excellently and entertainingly. I love Judy and her persistence, I love the expressiveness of the faces and the epic city setting. I love Judy and Nick's banter. This movie deserves to be remembered longer than it has been so far. Admittedly, not one of my fave villains, which makes it my least favorite of the Ss. 

A tier (either super high quality or something I greatly enjoy and deem of at least reasonably good quality)

Mulan - this movie did everything right. Truly feminist protagonist, an icon for strong Asian women, fairly culturally accurate (tho Mushu confuses me), GORGEOUS and iconic music. Lets a relatively natural romance develop. I frickin love the action scenes, I love the emporer. Sadly, this movie just didn't lodge its way in my heart as well as Pixar did. Pixar just has some magic, yo. 

Cinderella - my gosh what an underrated protagonist. Her family straight-up abuses her and she never loses sight of her goals for a better life. Iconic visuals helped bring Disney out of bankruptcy. A gorgeous alto singing voice. 

Wreck-it Ralph - alright alright ppl don’t crucify me for this. I honestly can’t think of much wrong with this movie. Vanellope and Ralph’s vitriolic best buds relationship is adorable, her forgiveness of him is heartwarming and (relatively) deserved, rockin’ Owl City song, epic visuals that mix together bc of all the different games. ALSO ONE OF THE BEST DISNEY VILLAINS NO CAP. One of the only twist villains I like. And we stan the romantic pairing. 

Tangled - I’ve talked about this a lot, but Rapunzel deserved the whole world after what she’s gone through. That being said, Gothel is not some shallow monster she needs to escape from, but an intelligent, well-defined monster with backstory. I could totally see this story happening if the world of Tangled existed. Epic love story, hilarious dialogue. Music is… good but much of it is less memorable to me. Visuals are good but not quite at the level/creativity of many other disney films. 

The Lion King - they really put Hamlet in Africa and pulled it off lol. But in all seriousness, no one took the premise of this film seriously at the time and it became sooo iconic. I love Scar and his eventual downfall, I love how Simba grows emotionally, I love the sad moments that don’t overpower the overall feeling of light goofiness. And music so memorable it was one of the first Disney musicals. 

Coco - not a super unique story premise. But an incredible culture to explore with such creativity and sensitivity. I love the themes of death not being the worst and music being so central to the story. Twist/twist villain was memorable and not expected. And yeah, it did make me cry, so props there. 

Ratatouille - the most recently watched of these films for me. This movie is soooo unique! Back when Pixar was truly super out there with their concepts. Super Parisian visuals and soundtrack. It somehow starts goofy (THE OLD LADY TRIES TO KILL REMY WITH A SHOTGUN WHILE WEARING A GAS MASK) but really drives home the message that you can truly do what you want regardless of who you are. Colette can get it. And the monologue by Ego at the end is one of my favorites in film. 

Frozen - Anna is one of my favorite Disney protagonists. She’s so resilient and loyal. Elsa ain’t bad either but she experiences… less character development. The film is a tad too pleased with its own self-awareness for my taste, but there’s no denying how iconic the music and visuals were. 

Inside Out - Alright, this movie hits home for me bc I tried to run away after moving. A super thoughtful, heartfelt depiction of (potentially depression? imo) with great moments of humor. Riley’s inner world is so creative and lovely. Also realistic depictions of Minnesota/California culture. 

Tarzan - Jane! is! smart! and! adorable! Her scientific curiosity makes her very endearing. it’s so cute to see her and Tarzan learn from each other. Also Tarzan’s “found mother” is epic. Solid score. Solid film all around. To quote Lily Orchard, “This film is what Pocahontas tried to be.” 

B tier (one of my favorites but has a few significant flaws that bring it down (or not quite as memorable to me, but consider good quality))

Peter Pan - Haven’t seen it in a hot sec, but I remember being super charmed by this as a kid. Just going out, having incredible adventures, and returning to a warm home at the end of the day. Tinker Bell is hilarious and beautifully drawn. Gets major negative points for the depiction of Native Americans tho. 

Big Hero 6 - I was super charmed by the protagonist, his family/friends, and the setting. The plot/villain’s motivations are a bit of a mess, though. 

Princess and the Frog - This movie has so much flavor to it! The visuals/music are lovely and unique. Tiana is incredible but it’s kinda annoying how EVERYONE keeps trying to shoehorn her into romance. The thing is, her goals are entirely reasonable. Focus on her restaurant, then look to settle down. But they’re like “nooo you’re ignoring the important things in life” smh. Also, epic villain, woohoo! The movie dragged significantly for me when they were in the bayou. Charlotte is delightful. 

Winnie the Pooh - don’t remember it super well, but I think it was charming and occasionally dark, which is an addictive concoction. 

The Little Mermaid - MAN ppl roast Ariel way more than she deserves. Visually, it was… fine. idk. This movie is good. I don’t have much else to say about it. 

Snow White - the one that started it all. Visually, super impressive. Musically, lovely. I find the romance a bit… off. Well, more than a bit. What is it with Disney and kissing sleeping people? 

Alice in Wonderland - a nerdy acid trip. Right up my alley! I also like films where ppl go on incredible adventures and return to the status quo, but THEY changed bc of it. Epic. SUUUUPER creative visual interpretation of Carroll’s book. Brave - gosh I loooove films where a parent and child learn to understand each other. Never got why ppl hated this movie so much. The Scottish flavor is present and fun. Merida made one mistake and made it up. The arrow scene is iconic. 

Cars - a fun ride! (hahaha puns.) We love seeing Paul Newman as a car. 

B-minus tier? (same as B, but problematic, or weaker story-wise.)

Hunchback - man… settings-wise, this film might be my favorite. I also love Esmeralda and Quasimodo as characters and as a duo (though the sexualized depiction of Romani ppl is not epic.) I also don’t find the discrimination against Esmeralda/Quasimodo jarring bc it matches the time period. Frollo is super interesting as a villain. The gargoyles are… def not necessary. Basically, this film doesn’t know what it’s doing with tone. 

Sleeping Beauty - Aurora was my favorite when I was younger because I thought she was the prettiest, and that still defines how i feel about this, basically. Visually lovely - everything is kind of elongated and gothic. Maleficent is spiteful and epic. I have no issue with the fluffier parts of the movie, like the music or the fairies. RIP for lack of consent being a plot point, though. 

Hercules - Megara is incredible. one of the only Disney “princesses” who acts like an adult and has cynicism as a major part of her personality. I love her and Herc’s progression where she learns to trust him (yes, he is genuinely that sincere, it’s not a front.) Muses are unique, whoever came up with them was high on something and I’m living for it. I just think the plot itself was somewhat unrealistic/ weirdly-paced. There are some memorable songs, some less-than-memorable songs. Art style is cool but I’m personally not a fan. EXTREMELY inaccurate depictions of the original Greek gods. 

C tier (entertaining, but I don't consider it a great movie)

Bolt - I watched this like 11 years ago. It was fun! A cool concept about those put on a pedestal learning their worth even without celebrity boosting them up. Animation was… fine I think. not super memorable to me. 

Frozen 2 - They really took any scrap of character development Elsa had in the first movie, threw it in the garbage and set it on fire. Anna deserved so much better. Songs are bombastic and impressive, have the occasional interesting lyric, but are really weirdly placed and none are quite as iconic as the first movie’s (except Aurora, she does great work here. Also the song Anna sings after she thinks Elsa died.) 

Not a big fan of the vaguely homeopathic theme. Not a big fan of Olaf’s WEIRD character development. Not a big fan of the suuuuuper awkward dialogue and the animations that imply not only that Kristoff is into his reindeer but that Elsa and Anna are into each other (if you’re questioning if they did that, yes, they did, I can find screenshots of some really weird expressions/moments. THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO PANDER TO YOUR WEIRD FANS, DISNEY.) 

The voice actors did great work, the animators did great work (look at the details on their clothes! Look at how Elsa’s posture changes to be more confident! look at how they're animated while they're singing!) Some weird costume/makeup choices that make Elsa look like an aging starlet, but she also has some gorgeous moments so eh. It’s a wash for me. 

They really did not know what to do with Kristoff this movie, huh. The only thing that happened to him was singing a cheesy 90s ballad and marrying Anna, both of which were admittedly epic. Also, the trolls got 0 appearances despite being literally psychic. Probably could have helped with a lot. I'm not a huge fan of lore/worldbuilding, and thee was a lot of it here. Overall neutral on it. 

Also a big theme in this movie I don’t love - **** TANGIBLE CONSEQUENCES TO OUR ACTIONS!!! The danger is Elsa’s death, the elements, colonialism, and Arendelle literally being destroyed. None of those end up playing out, so I was left at the end going “this film had literally no stakes.” 

Monsters U - same as above - entertaining at the time! Not super memorable. The ppl we were supposed to dislike kept switching. Doesn’t really match the canon of Monsters Inc (I thought they were supposed to have known each other since childhood so why did they meet in college?) 

Cars 3 - so apparently, everyone HATED this movie! Fun! I never watched Cars 2 (yes watched Cars 1 if you haven’t been paying attention to this list), but I didn’t think this movie was bad at all. Well-acted, some fun chase scenes, the scene where Lightning fails at driving in the simulation is genuinely hilarious, and some interesting perspectives on teachers getting the spotlight for their skills for once. 

Incredibles 2 - I liked this film at first, but then it was… just okay in retrospect. I love me some good family dynamics. The plot here makes not a lot of sense. THEY BUILT UP THE UNDERMINER FOR NOTHING AND THEN FORGOT ABOUT HIM. I was surprised by the villain swap, but it happened so last minute I never really understood their motivations even after they explained them. Tried to tackle waaaay too many messages. 

D tier (I didn't enjoy these or consider them mediocre)

Finding Dory - Maybe I should have put this higher? Like C tier at least. Ah well. Wasn’t a huge fan of the body/physical comedy (not my thing), but it was entertaining and awww finding family is heartwarming. 

Finding Nemo - I remember nothing about this movie. 

E tier (this film has significant problems)

Beauty and the Beast - *sigh*… I want to love this movie. The score is gorgeous. Visually, they could have made it more distinctly Rococo-era France but didn’t (why?) The voice actors did good work and I think Paige O’Hara is SUPER underrated here. 

The Beast is emotionally manipulative with an awful temper that (for MOST of the movie. He doesn’t change.) That’s the main reason this is in E tier. This movie shaped so many generations of people thinking they can change the behavior of someone who treats them badly through the power of love. But you can’t. She learns to “love” the beast under coercion. It’s not Stockholm syndrome - it’s a trashy romance novel. Big fan of Gaston as a villain. He’s an archetype ppl can recognize and it’s so satisfying to hate him.

F tier (I think this film actively harms the industry and would rather it not have been made. Both the one in E tier could be considered harmful to the industry, but I think they had significant enough artistic accomplishments to scrape above that. I'm also generally a fan of "lack of censorship bc it's better to teach what not to do.")

Pocahontas - this movie took real historical events and romanticized them AND sexualized one of the only Native princesses they’ve had. Boo. Nothing wrong with animation!Pocahontas as a character, it’s just people put her in a story that doesn’t represent history well at all (and these historical events, unlike those in say, 14th-century Germany, had super relevant effects on people alive today.) And they portrayed the Native Americans and colonial settlers as equally in the wrong. (though I like Governor Radcliffe as a potential villain and love the line “see how I glitter.” I can’t NOT laugh when I hear it.) Lovely music, though. Nice animation, but the colors are weirdly… muted? 

Bad Garbage (I don't wish this film had never been made, but I wish I never had to see it.)

Planes - this movie was ridiculous. I remember not much about it except that I kinda hated it and that it was super cheesy with tension one could see right through that immediately resolved itself via one twist or another.

- Ahh, so this is Ted Bishop, the guy who’s going to beat the shit out of Archie in a SCHOOL… get the fuck out right now. If the writers are so adamant about making Archie fight people, at LEAST make them his own age. We’re tired of old men being obsessed with Archie for literally no reason.

- Veronica going to New York is something we’ve always thought about and wanted and I can’t wait to see if it’ll allow us to see old!Veronica for a little bit. Just to see. But of COURSE her parents (well, Hiram) are going too… can’t Veronica ever get a break? Literally everyone deserves a break smh

- FANGS AND TONI SCENE!! WE LOVE TO SEE THEM TOGETHER AGAIN!!! Also Toni wanting to get into their side hustle, aka Serpent thinking? Love that! 

- “Bret is afraid of me? Why?” Maybe because you’ve boiled men for no reason, Betty… but I don’t see why he’d be afraid of you, you’re not scary lol

Plea to the Zootopia/WildeHopps Community: (Borba)

I really, REALLY hate to bring any attention to this but I just really feel like I have to. For those of you who know and for those of you who don’t know a certain comic made by the person on the title of this post, has finally ended. But...This particular person has not surprisingly announced a third comic. One that I believe may be titled, “Never Say Die” (At least I think that’s what it is, I don’t remember, nor do I care to correct it if I’m wrong).

Anyway my point to this is really to reach out to those of you out there that still have plans to read it, share it, and have hope that Borbleh may actually decide to have a happy WildeHopps ending to it. 

Everyone is free to do as they wish of course, but I do ask everyone to at least please hear me out. Please don’t share or even give any further attention to that comic series, or Borba even. He is not going to change his mind. If you still believe that he is a WildeHopps shipper...he’s not. He probably was at some point, but the minute he made that first comic and received hate and practically banishment from this community, he stopped being for the ship. I say this as a REAL WildeHopps shipper. I and I know many of you, if not most of you as WildeHopps shippers, wouldn’t ever think of making a comic like this. Much less a follow up to it like the one he made. My main reason personally is because when I love something I’m actually faithful to it and I wouldn’t butcher it for likes, views, or scandalous attention. 

Just because he releases “WildeHopps” art every once in a while, like that Breakfast at Tiffany’s one that was circling sometime late last year, that isn’t reason enough to have hope for this new comic that will come out. He does this as bait so people think that he’s going to change his mind and give everyone the “beautiful WildeHopps” ending that we’re all hoping for. You know, because deep down he’s really a “WildeHopps” shipper. Nope.

If you’re asking how I know this? It’s obvious, didn’t anyone notice that in his journal entry on Deviantart prior to “Born to be Borbleh” (sorry, but I don’t care to give dignity to these titles) he never once displayed any sort of regret, remorse, or even understanding toward the community regarding the negative impact the comic had? He never once said: “I’m sorry”, “I apologize for upsetting some of you”, “I understand why some of you were upset”, etc. He never once showed any sort of concern for anyone but himself. Also, what kind of “WildeHopps” shipper ends their comic (where Nick and Judy don’t end up together) with “I just love happy endings!” (He’s really subtle about throwing it in everyone’s faces isn’t he?)

This is revenge people. Don’t be fooled by this guy. The third comic is going to be worse if this second one is anything to go by. I can very easily make a wild guess that it’ll probably be July (I know I spelled that wrong. I’m not referring to that heartless abomination he made as Judy, because that’s NOT Judy) and her girlfriend wanting to get pregnant by getting sperm from a sperm bank (you know, because she’s her actual “true love” and not Nick. Again, a “WildeHopps” shipper wrote this, is it obvious? smh) and then maybe there’s complications and then July’s going to have a hollow enough heart to say “Never say die” to that kid’s survival. You know, like the way she didn’t have any care or concern for Mick’s (you know who I’m referring to here) kid. And then Mick’s going to commit suicide while all this is going on or suddenly have a new sexual appetite as well. Really the third one will be any other thing you can think of that’ll butcher them or tear them apart even more so than they already are.

But anyway getting back to my point, I can give several reasons why this is actually a revenge ploy on Borba’s part. 1) he made the first comic and people hated him for it. 2) he was barraged with dozens of comments to make a second comic to correct things between July and Mick. 3) It was discovered that he had made some unsavory art work depicting lesbian women in a negative light. Put that all together and what did he do??? He gave us exactly what we “wanted”. He gave us a second comic, where he had a lesbian couple have a ”happy” ending, meanwhile “correcting” things between Mick and July by having them drift apart even further rather than having them come back closer as we actually wanted. See the pattern here? He just went opposite of everything his fan base wanted. We wanted Mick and July to get back together, did it happen? Nope. We wanted July to keep the baby, did she? Nope. That kid’s dead, buried, and forgotten like day old garbage. 

He’s mocking everyone. Whatever you ask for, he’s going to do the opposite just to spite you. But first he’s going to fill you with false hope with a “WildeHopps” drawing. Is this really someone who’s work you want to support? Just because it looks nicely drawn? Is curiosity really worth more than your dignity?

This man is a sociopath that borders on a psycopathic mentality. I’m not even joking or trolling with this statement. I’m honestly concerned that we’ve accidentally stumbled upon an artist with psycopathic tendencies. I honestly don’t know of any other type of person who gains so much joy out of people’s misery, which is exactly what he does. He’s patient, conceited, manipulative (as is evident with his bait art work depicting good WildeHopps art), deceitful, calculative, vengeful, and toys with people’s emotions. If this doesn’t sound like a sociopath bordering on psychopath then I don’t know what does. Don’t quote me on this, because I don’t know the man, but this side of his that he has revealed to people more recently is very concerning. 

Anyway, this comic made me feel sick and I personally want to know absolutely nothing of his ongoing series nor about him. Despite my better judgement, I did see where he went with his 2nd comic (even though all the red flags were there) and I was not wrong. He’s completely butchered Nick and Judy’s loving natures and names. And I refuse to give any more chances to someone who is sick enough in the head to take great joy in harming others, even if it is over a silly kid’s movie or comic. 

As I said before, I can’t control what you see and don’t see. If you want to see it, then so be it. But I do ask you to please not share it. Don’t give him attention, because in that sense he’s winning, because he’s getting the best of you and this community. This is not how you deal with a bully because giving them attention just fuels them even more. And honestly, at the point this comic is at: Do any of you really care anymore if July and Mick get back together? I’m a WildeHopps shipper through and through (hell, I’m a purist, meaning I don’t share anything where they’re with someone else), but this is actually the first bit of work where I could care less what happens to them. They could fall into a vortex or die a horrible death in the comic for all I care. Because they are completely unforgivable and just so out of character that it really feels like it’s not even Nick and Judy I’m looking at anymore. This is a toxic relationship being depicted by two characters who would NEVER be toxic to one another given the actual source material. In real life, July is the type of person no one would ever want to be with. 

More so because she’s written by a guy who clearly has no idea what love is. He took what was beautiful about Nick and Judy’s relationship, which is that Judy is the light in Nick’s otherwise dark past. She saved him from his own personal demons, she gave him a reason to fight and believe in himself. And he in turn proved to be the first person to ever believe in her and give her the support and faith in her dreams that no one, not even her parents ever gave her. And what did Borbleh do? He took it and made this wonderful bunny character as Mick’s worst nightmare that single handedly broke down everything the real Judy worked so hard to build. So forgive my foul language but: FUCK BORBA!

(Oh, and if you’re one of those people that are like: “yeah but July’s girlfriend supports her and her choices, cuz strong woman power!” Spare me that crap. I’m a woman and a career girl, but I am not betraying my maternal instincts for a job and this bad sort of feminism. Real Feminism is about equality, not throwing male characters down and stepping on them and falsely believing that this is empowering. A man who supports you and wants to be a father is a God sent. And again, Nick supports Judy’s desire to work and Judy cares about others more than her job. I refer you to the movie when Nick stands up to chief Bogo and when Judy GAVE UP HER CAREER for Nick. Sha-sha (the vixen) is just a controversial tool in this comic to start another controversy. The only thing that vixen supports more than Mick in this comic is that she’s submissive enough to put up with July’s heartless overbearing and dominating attitude.)

After this post, I don’t care how nice his art looks, I don’t care how “cute” a singular “WildeHopps” piece of his looks, I don’t care what horrible thing he does in the third comic, I don’t want to hear about it, see it or share it. Because Borba and his work were “Born to be Dead” if this is how he’s going to go about with continuing his work.  

PS. Sorry for the rant, but I’m serious. Please boycott his comic. It won’t be worth it. You’ll be holding on to a non-existing hope if you still want to give him a chance. Save yourself (and the rest of us) the depression and blues, because I guarantee that’s all you’ll get from him and that comic series. By the way, sorry if I said anything controversial to some, but yeah, I’m pissed. 

P.S.S. Why do we even give this comic so much attention? Let’s give this kind of attention (but positively of course) to the comics that deserve the attention and praise, like Sunderance, Savage Company, The Mark, and every other comic by true WildeHopps artists. Yeah, I know they have great attention already, but let’s give them more, because they remember why we’re all here for. For these two lovable characters:

ENDGAME SPOILERS!!

Okay I saw Endgame last night and I need to vent... AHHHHHH!!! haha I have so many mixed emotions and I don’t even know. Also I typed this on mobile so sorry for any typos. 

So I first saw Iron Man when I was 11, and it was so cool. I grew up watching all of these movies. At first, Cap was my favorite bc he was ~cute~ and I was a young teen girl and so were all my friends. I also loved Loki for this reason haha. Then I saw Iron Man 3 and LOVED IT. I bought it on DVD as soon as it came out. Tony Stark was amazing, but also he dealt with anxiety and panic attacks? His and Pepper’s relationship was everything as well, and also his and Happy’s and Rhodey’s friendships. Tony felt real and human and relatable, and it was cool he was able to overcome so much even with all of his trauma. In AOU he just wanted to protect his team, and no one truly listened to or respected him or tried to understand him, and he ended up with more trauma and guilt. I just wanted him to have a happy ending. Then he met Peter and it brought me hope, after all the Civil War crap. Infinity War was crushing but not completely because I knew another movie was coming out, so there was still some hope. But then Endgame. Honestly... I’m still processing, but I don’t think I’m happy with it. And for more reasons than just Tony, though I’ll talk about that first. His storyline just seemed... blah. He gets back, gets to yell at Steve, and then goes and lives in seclusion with Pepper and has a kid. Yet you know that even with that life he’s still depressed and guilt-ridden. It’s how Pepper knows he won’t stop. So he does his best to help, time travels or whatever (honestly that whole part is still kinda confusing to me- it created alternate timelines, but what are the implications of that- and also for the rest of the MCU??) and then Tony comes back and it looks like they’ve succeeded. I was expecting him to notice something off about Nebula, tbh. But anyway, final battle, and we all know what happens. He makes the sacrifice play. He dies. Pepper says it’s okay, but I just can’t agree. He already made the sacrifice play in the first movie. I think it should have been Steve or someone else in this one to do it. If all Tony’s pain and trauma has been building to this- I just feel empty inside. It’s not a satisfying end. Sure, he saved the universe, but I feel like Strange literally could have like left a message saying don’t send Nebula to the past and all of that would have been avoided. It felt so pointless. They’d already won. Tony also only got to reunite with Peter for like 30 mins, which is lame, and will bring a whole lot more trauma to him. He didn’t even get to see Morgan again. Ughhh I’m just annoyed. And then Steve?? He just goes to live in the past?? The whole movie he’s been saying he doesn’t move on, and then he literally never does, he never grows from there. He doesn’t really develop at all. It’s true- he never truly moved on from the past, and so that means... he’ll just go live there??? I think a better move would be to have him grow to accept his life and try to be happy and actually move on. Or, like I said earlier, he could have realized he can’t move on and made that sacrifice play himself in order to allow others to live and move on. I think that would have been a more satisfying arc to his story. And it would show the love he actually has for Tony- to allow Tony to live with his family and show that he heard and understood what Tony said at the beginning of the movie. (Also, they never had a real conversation where they made up. It was like they kind had that “do you trust me” moment but Steve never truly apologized and I feel like we got jipped out of a good heartfelt moment between those two.) Also- the Natasha sacrifice was sad, but I’m not totally surprised by it. It feels like a very her thing to do, to save her family and Clint’s. But then after everyone got mad and had a quick moment of silence, it was kind of forgotten?? Like they could have even had a memorial or small tribute at Ton’s funeral or elsewhere but like put something in?? It feels like she was just kind of brushed aside. (Also- I didn’t like BruceNat at first but grew to be okay with it, but then it never became anything? Bruce made himself into Professor Hulk and there was no real closure or conversation between him and Natasha? So like... what. was. the. point???) Again, everything with her just wasn’t that satisfying, but it’s something I may grow to view differently. I did enjoy Clint’s arc and I actually think they did a great job with him. Probably the strongest arc of the movie, actually. The way they handled Thor kind of annoyed me. I think it’s perfectly understandable that he would end up like that. He’s lost his family and most of his kingdom, and he feels responsible. I don’t have a problem with that. I have a problem with how the movie and the characters responded to that. Judgmental looks and jokes... like I’ll be honest, I did chuckle at Rhodey’s Cheez Whiz joke, but now I regret that. Like being fat is funny, haha look at Thor, he’s out of shape! Uhh yeah he’s depressed! And Rhodey should know better, being friends with Tony, he should know how to handle anxiety and depression. Nobody was really trying to help or even talk to Thor much, they really just wanted him to help them. Like he was clearly struggling, and yet that was used as a joke... it makes me sad. And also Thor never even looked back at Loki? The convo with his mom was nice though. But that reminds me? Was Loki’s infinity war death actually real then? Bc ugh. I’d be more willing to accept him being permanently dead if it wasn’t in such a lame way. Daggers, seriously?? Loki has freakin magic, and he’s smart!! He could have duplicated himself or something, and that type of lame death is so unsatisfying. Also. Captain. Freaking. Marvel. I went to the movie in a Captain Marvel T-Shirt, hers is one of the first actual comics I read, and I loved her movie. I was soooo excited to see her in this movie and become part of the team and to have some really fun banter with everyone. But then she just... disappears for basically the whole movie and hardly speaks at all (thinking about it- I think all the female characters speaking overall was wayyy low compared to mens which is sad) and she blows up the big ship at the end and that’s basically it. She didn’t really join the team, and she could have been so helpful! You’re telling me they didn’t make a way to communicate with her and they didn’t want to include her in their time travel adventures?? She could have had a funny interaction with Nick in 2012, or stopped Nebula from getting taken in 2014, or helped out more overall, idk. But she should have been a bigger part of the team. They hyped her up so much when she was hardly in the movie at all, which was extremely disappointing. Like I feel so cheated about this. This is something I’ll probably be bitter about for a while tbh... ugh she’s a queen and deserves so much more haha. Also Okoye and Wong would have been useful assets for the time travel and yet they were hardly in the movie at all? So many underutilized characters smh.... (Also I know this would be impossible and the point of the movie is for the main Marvel characters but you’re telling me that in 5 years, there was no random like French or Chinese or any other country’s scientist that could have developed time travel or another method of reversing the snap? Or someone from one of the bazillion planets out there? Like there have to have been other smart people/aliens who went all Liam Neeson after the snap and were out for revenge and solutions and they could have come up with something in those five years. But again, I know that wouldn’t work for the movie...) I just feel that a conclusion to the first real era and characters of Marvel should be more satisfying. But that’s just me, I know there are people who are plenty happy with it, and I think that’s valid. These are just my thoughts. Also, that was a long rant but I don’t want to be completely negative. Here’s some things I did enjoy. -Clint’s arc. Again, I felt it was really strong and emotional and hit all the right notes. They did a good job with him and I’m glad he got to go back to his family. -Nebula. She’s grown so much y’all. I do wish she got the final blow on Thanos, and that she clicked the button to go to the present faster so Thanos couldn’t come after them, but other than that I thought her storyline was great. She’s awesome. -That moment with all the female characters after Peter got hurt. I cheered. Marvel has so many amazing women and it was great to see them all together. I kinda wish they were given more lines and screen time though but this moment was super cool. -Morgan was adorable and I love her. -Pepper’s understanding of Tony was also great. She knew he needed to do something if he could, especially for Peter, she’s grown so much and she loves her mans I love her. -Almost the whole 2012 time travel thing was great. Some good humor and nostalgia, it was fun, I really liked it. The Loki alternate timeline would be cool to explore and I wonder if that’s what the show will be about. -Wanda had a great moment against Thanos. -Okay, while I do think that whole final battle was ultimately pointless and could have easily been avoided, the moment when T’Challa and the Guardians and everyone came in through the portals was amazingly epic and beautiful and powerful. The audience cheered and I did too. It was a cool scene. -Tony and Nebula in the ship at the beginning was great. -If Steve isn’t gonna be Cap anymore, Sam deserves it and I’m glad they went with him. -The Ancient One, Frigga, and other’s cameos were pretty cool. I liked those moments. -Tony’s convo with Howard was great. I like that he got a little bit of closure with his dad. There’s probably more but I’ve written a lot so I need to be done haha. Soft Blue | Sonny Carisi/Nick Amaro

so naturally I wrote 2k of mostly feelings. smh. Iittle hint of smut at the end, though!

Nick brought his phone up to his ear again, wearing a hole in the floor the way he was pacing with short, jerky steps. When it went straight to voicemail he let out a frustrated growl and thumbed the screen to end the call. His hand briefly tightened in a fist around the phone, tight enough that it was digging into his skin, before he released it and bent over to place it in the middle of the coffee table. He rubbed at the indent left in his palm as it throbbed in time with the headache working its way from the back of his skull. There was no sense in clutching his phone like it was a handkerchief from his love gone off to war. The more times he got a voice message instead of the real thing, the more he wanted to hurl it out of the window. He could only imagine trying to explain that to his landlord, or God forbid, Olivia when the police were inevitably called. Nevermind that he was the police.

Nick groaned again and raked a hand through his hair. ‘Think, Amaro. Think,’ he urged himself. He was overreacting, he knew that. He could feel the build up of anxiety bubbling in him like a shaken can of soda. It fizzed and the bubbles crawled around inside of his skin, looking for a way out. Sonny was only thirty minutes late. Thirty minutes was nothing. It was hardly worth noticing, let alone getting bent out of shape and anxious about. But Nick…Nick had a way of becoming irrationally anxious where Sonny was concerned. It was something he hadn’t dared to look at too closely yet, lest something be revealed to him before he was ready to face it in the crisp, plain light of day. For now, it was shoved in a corner of a dimly lit compartment in the back of his brain. No dust, because he’d moved the box around plenty of times, but stuffy because he hadn’t brought himself to open it.

He pulled his thoughts away, like always, and glanced down at his phone. The black reflection stared back up at him blankly, a marvel of glass and metal and God knows what else, and it was slowly driving him crazy. He took a half step towards the table again and then stopped himself. There was no need to involve Olivia right now. She’d no doubt think he was overstrained from work and probably make him take tomorrow as a personal day. As great as she was in a crisis, this was not yet a crisis. Was not a crisis. Would not be a crisis. There was a simple explanation, really and any—

A key scraped in the lock before the door opened and Sonny stepped through it in one fluid step. Nick felt his knees soften and he had to concentrate very hard on remaining upright. He blinked rapidly and drank in the sight of his boyfriend with relief soured from adrenaline that was still pumping through his body.

“You would not believe the number of people out right now,” Sonny exclaimed with an exasperated smile. He was holding a familiar paper bag by the handles and raised it slightly before nodding towards the kitchen. Nick trailed behind him at a more sedated pace. “New York has way too many people. Talk about your ‘huddled masses.’ Sheesh.” He began unloading the bag and placing containers on the counter. “Anyway, I figured we were both too tired to cook so I picked up some empanadas from the place we like. The line was atrocious, but I battled it for you.”

He said the last part with a wink thrown in Nick’s direction. With Nick’s weak smile in response he finally picked up on the energy in the apartment and he did a double take before setting the entire bag on the counter and turning to give Nick his full attention. He closed the space between them and reached out for Nick’s hands.

“What is it? Everything okay? Did something happen?” Sonny peered into Nick’s eyes and quickly scanned him over. “You look almost as pale as me.” It was added as a joke to try to make Nick laugh, but fell flat.

Nick flashed him another wan smile before using Sonny’s grip on him to reel him into a firm hug. Sonny made a soft exhalation as they collided, but fell into the hug as easily as ever. He wrapped his arms firmly around Nick, rubbing his back a little and adjusting his grip with a step forward. Nick dipped his head to tuck in the juncture of Sonny’s neck. He exhaled and inhaled what felt like his first deep breath in nearly thirty minutes.

“You’re trembling,” Sonny commented in a more subdued tone. His voice was light and without judgment. “Tell me what’s wrong? Are you okay?”

“There was a derailed train,” Nick managed to squeeze out. Sonny made an inquisitive noise and started to pull away, but Nick tightened his grip and Sonny paused his movements. “Your train,” Nick continued. “The one we take home from work. You said you had paperwork and that you’d be an hour behind me coming home and then you were thirty minutes late and the train derailed and your phone went straight to voicemail and I’ve just spent the last thirty minutes praying no one called me to identify your body.” The can overflowed as bubbles finally popped, fizzed and flooded the counter of his subconscious. “I just…you were late and I couldn’t get ahold of you,” he finished lamely.

Sonny pressed a firm kiss to the side of Nick’s head. “I’m here now.” He was reassuring and firm. “I’m okay. I’m sorry. Phone battery fell out when someone bumped me as I was in line getting dinner and I just shoved the entire thing in my pocket.” His hands continued a soothing rhythm on Nick’s back. “I need to get another one like you said,” he added ruefully.

“Yeah, you do.” Nick pulled away finally. He avoided Sonny’s eye, but he could feel the weight of his scrutiny.

“This weekend,” Sonny swore with a gentle nudge of his hand against Nick’s forearm. “Promise.” He tangled his fingers with Nick’s briefly and swung their joins hands. “I’m sorry I worried you.”

Nick pulled out of Sonny’s grip after a squeeze of his hand. He took a step back and briefly met Sonny’s eyes with another wan smile. “It’s fine. Nothing to apologize for. I overreacted.” The laughter he aimed at himself was like sandpaper to wood. “Sometimes I get too—”

“Stop,” Sonny interjected. He was firm, but still gentle. Even as he took a step closer he didn’t reach for Nick again. “Don’t do that. You’re allowed to feel however you felt and I owe you an apology for not being more responsible about letting you know I’d be late.” A tentative smile bloomed across his face. “I love you.”

“Yeah, you too,” Nick replied quickly. He took a step back and jerked his head behind him. “I’m going to uh…clean off the table so we can eat in the living room.”

Sonny nodded, but made no effort to finish unpacking the bag on the counter next to him. Nick started to exit with a reluctant step back before stealing forward and pressing a quick kiss to Sonny’s mouth. It was so fast that Sonny didn’t even have a chance to return it before Nick was stepping out of reach.

“I love you, too,” he finally echoed. Sincerity bled into his tone as the color began to return to his face. When Sonny’s smile widened Nick ducked his head before turning on his heel and heading into the living room.

“What are you doing way over there?” Sonny reached out for Nick in the bed and hauled him closer. He wasn’t met with any resistance as Nick turned into Sonny’s chest almost immediately.

They were quiet for several loud moments. The only thing Nick could hear was Sonny’s heartbeat under his ear. It was strong and steady—a lullaby. His eyes drifted shut even though he wasn’t tired as much as mentally worn out from the emotional rollercoaster from earlier. Sonny hadn’t pressed further during dinner. He hadn’t made Nick spew his feelings or fears, but rather just pressed his thigh up against his as they ate and watched television. Gratitude flooded Nick’s body and his fingertips felt fuzzy with the new swell of emotion.

“I worry about losing you, sometimes.” Nick’s voice was hushed, but clear. Sonny made a noise to indicate he was listening, but kept otherwise quiet. “I don’t know…why…I just. Worry. I worry so much, Sonny. It’s like a tab in my brain that is playing the world’s longest, and most morbid, music video. Over and over.”

“You deserve to be happy.” Sonny’s words were sure. “You deserve to be happy and you deserve to enjoy your happiness. You deserve to enjoy the good things without worrying they’ll be taken away from you.” Sonny hands scratched through the hair at the base of Nick’s skull. “I don’t know if you noticed, but I’m tougher than people think I am. I’m not going anywhere.”

“You promise?” Nick craned his neck so that he could look Sonny in the eye. There was no way that Sonny could make that promise. He knew better than to ask, especially in their line of work. But still. If Sonny promised, it meant something.

Sonny gave him a soft look and let his hand slip from around the back of Nick’s head to float near his eyebrow. “I promise.” There was a serene smile on his face and not a hint of hesitation.

“Okay.”

Sonny’s lips curved up. He beckoned Nick towards him and only replied when their lips were just barely touching.

“Okay.” He closed the scant distance between them and kissed him. “Okay.” Another kiss. “No more talk of leaving. Only talk of—”

“If you finish that sentence the way I think you are…” Nick cut off with a warning. Sonny laughed into his mouth and Nick swallowed up the sound in another kiss. It was like cool, still water.

“Coming,” Sonny finished several beats later.

Nick groaned and pretended to pull away, but Sonny followed his movements and pressed him down into the mattress. He pinned Nick in place with his hips and smiled into the next kiss. Nick couldn’t help but smile back until Sonny shifted and a groan was forced from between his lips. Their hips glided together, already in rhythm even through two layers of fabric, and he deepened the intensity of the kiss. When Sonny lifted his hips away Nick whined before he could help himself.

“Ah, ah,” Sonny chastised. “Thought you weren’t interested.”

He pulled away and watch in delight as Nick returned a flat look up at him. Even behind the flatness was a warmth and Sonny couldn’t resist stealing another kiss.

“Not in lame jokes about coming. Actually coming, on the other hand…” He let his sentence trail off and the flatness morphed into a familiar flirtatious confidence.

“I see,” Sonny mused as he traced Nick’s jaw with his nose. “Well, who am I to block you from happiness…”

Nick rolled his hips up into Sonny and wrapped an arm around his lower back to keep him in place.

“Exactly.”

Stranger in a Strange Land

[Disclaimer- I like SPN, but the last several seasons have been lacking for me, and so I have a lot of criticisms for the show. I am still so invested in the characters, so I’m gonna keep watching, but there are definitely things that could be done better. Also, my co-worker is not in the office today, so I’m shouting into the internet what I would normally be shouting at him. You have been warned.]

My top take-away from last night’s episode, and likely unpopular opinion (which I am chock full of), is that the strangers in question are in fact the writers of SPN. They entered the writing room and were like, “What is it you do here again? Write stuff down, anything we should know before we start? No? Ok, cool, we’ll just write whatever then!”

Ok, that’s a little unfair. It’s actually just Dabb. 

If I may get serious for a moment though. Supernatural is a show. It’s right there in the definition, please SHOW me what is going on with people, don’t just have them dump their emotional exposition all over the other characters and then have those characters react with their own perfectly reasonable emotional exposition. This is not how people work. This is not how teenagers (I’m gonna call Jack a teen, he’s beyond the baby stage by now) work, this is not how traumatized individuals work. Shit comes out sideways. SHOW IT TO ME COMING OUT SIDEWAYS. 

Show me how a shit ton of new responsibilities, old trauma’s, and a missing Dean impact SAM. He has lived exclusively with one other person for almost his entire adult life- Dean. So please SHOW me how Sam is handling, or even better, NOT handling, a very communal living situation with his undead mother, his father-figure-from-another-dimension, and his adopted demon son all in his space all the time all of a sudden! How are Sam’s feelings about all of this shit impacting how he is leading people, how he is searching for Dean, how he is making decisions. SHOW ME. 

Show me how Mary thinks she should be helpful in this new and just as complicated setting, what does she DO to comfort Sam? To help bear his new burdens? (Also, side note of wank, she can barely look at Lucifer’s vessel? Uh Mary, remind me what was so terrible that Lucifer did to you again? You like punched him in the face and then followed him around kitty litter land while he whined about wanting his son and THEN MICHAEL tortured you, but what did Lucifer do exactly? I was not buying her level of disturbance there, it seemed unnecessary, and like even if she was uncomfortable, there’s no way in hell that her discomfort would reach the level of SAM’S MFing discomfort with the vessel of his almost lifelong tormentor, so having her mention it only served to highlight the disparity. It highlighted again Mary’s lack of basic human emotion and/or any interest in supporting her son. Which I would like to clarify is not a reflection on her as a woman, she’s not real, but rather on the very real DUDE writing her character. Dabb, please reflect for like a minute before you write things down.Ok, I’m done, sorry that was so salty.) 

Show me what Jack does to try and make himself feel like he still matters, and by that I mean more than getting hit once by Bobby and then going straight into another bucket load of expositional dialogue about it! Confused, hurt teenagers searching for their identities in the world do not just have meaningful conversations with every person they see. Jack had defined himself in the AU World through the use of his powers to defeat Michael, basically everything Jack had, the person he thought he was is now gone. He is going through some shit, and I don’t want to hear him talk about the shit, I want to SEE him go THROUGH it. How are Jack’s feelings about himself impacting how he interacts with everyone else, how he attempts to help find Dean. SHOW ME. 

Show me a completely and utterly wrecked Nick. Like if that really is Nick, and not just Lucifer masquerading as Nick, (which is almost what I hope it is at this point, separate post, maybe later), then that guy should be a pile of useless trauma right now. That guy should be confused, and agitated, and nonsensical. That guy should NOT be like, “Oh, hey Sam. Yeah this wound is itchy.” 

SMH. 

The themes and everything they are creating for the season are all great. I AM HERE for the whole “what do you want?” storyline. Cas and Dean and Sam have been dodging this question for YEARS, in much the same way that Michael points out the other people dodging it and I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE IF WE WILL GET TO THE TRUTH OF IT FINALLY! 

So that stuff was interesting, but honestly, I was not thrilled with the execution of the episode. It was not interesting. Why was that demon named Kip? Seriously? That’s what we’re dealing with now? Demons named Kip. Not. Feeling. It. 

I also initially enjoyed the back and forth between Cas and.....Kip (why?)....but it just dragged on when he was showing off for Sam. I felt like Sam should have just killed him mid-monologue, like the shark does to Sam Jackson in “Deep Blue Sea.” It’s all well and good that this demon (named Kip, really?) thinks he can hang with the big boys, but Sam is THE BIG BOY, and frankly he’s got A LOT OF WAAAAAAY MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO. I don’t see why this second rate demon, named, once again for the people in the back, Kip, like a small dog would be, deserves to take up so much of Sam’s time. I want some urgency. The show has lacked urgency for AGES and if anyone is feeling urgent about saving Dean it should be Sam. Ok, well it should be Cas, and for a hot minute right at the start I DID feel Cas’ urgency to find and save Dean. It just didn’t last very long before we were right back to tied to a chair Cas rolling his eyes at everyone else. Which has become ridiculously common, so much so that it would indeed have been more interesting for Sam to kill Kip (just, so dumb) right off the bat, yell at the other demons who would smoke out in terror, because also last time Dean was missing Sam was just on like a demon torture spree, so why did all these demons even agree to be in the same room with him (and a clearly ineffectual, wanna be demon named, of all things, Kip?). 

I know we all like talk about how Dean is this tough macho guy who’s actually like a soft baby duck on the inside. But uh, guys, you do realize that Sam is the opposite of that? He seems like this enlightened nice guy, who just wants to help, but underneath that he is a straight up, killing machine. Soulless Sam, Sam when he loses Dean to Gabriel in Season 3, Sam when he loses Dean to the MoC in Season 10, Sam who would kill Crowley without a second thought in Season 9. He’s been telling us who he is, is anyone paying attention? Not Dabb.
