"Not my circus, not my monkeys" (in its original Polish) in Perler beads. Far from perfect due to a few errors, a lack of mapping and planning, terrible kerning after the capital N, dubious design choices, and how the font I was using dropped the 'i' by one pixel which makes it look weird next to any letter next to it, but other than that I'm happy I was able to get this banged out in a couple nights.
Thank you for being open until 9pm, Joanne Fabrics, because I ran out of white beads 8 short of complete.

I'm not part of the Loki community so I don't know what the drama is going on over there, I only know what some people have told me and what I've seen on the rare reblog that comes across my feed. I'm just trying to support some mutuals who are having their privacy being invaded and constantly harassed over God knows what. It's actually very alarming that, that's what things have come to over something as small as correcting other writer's grammer and such. (TO MY KNOWLEDGE!! I DON'T KNOW THE FULL STORY!!)
I've been told by many that some testimonies are faked while others say it's real and because I'm just minding my business and don't know what's going on, I can't pick a side! /srs You'd be surprise how easy it is for people to lie and fake things on the internet! /lh
Anyways, I don't know what the problem is at the moment and it's truly none of my business because it's not my fandom. I'm just trying to help support some people who are getting stalked and harassed to the point that some of their families are getting involved which is totally fucked up.
Another thing too is that if I get more of these messages in my inbox I unfortunately will have to turn the anon option off because I do not wish to tolerate this behaviour either. This was completely unprovoked as I had no connect to whatever claims you have towards them. I'm just a rando highschooler that writes fanfic in my free time.

"not my circus, not my monkeys" has honestly been the ultimate quote to change my life.
Every time I'm faced with other people's drama I have to ask myself "is this my circus? Are these my monkeys? Do I have any control over the situation to begin with?"
And I can break it down further to determine to what extent I should care about the subject at hand as well. For example:
Friends and family? They're my monkeys, but it's not my circus.
Work? My apartment building? It's my circus, but these aren't my monkeys.
Politics? World tragedies? The guy screaming across the street and throwing rocks at the gas station? Not my circus, not my monkeys.
It doesn't mean "don't care about the situation at all," but it helps me put the situation and my feelings about it in the right place. I don't stress about it if I don't absolutely need to, and my anxiety has been so much better for it.
