I have so many fun facts about myself that aren’t really fun. They’re just like… mediocre. So I’d never bring them up when someone asks me for a fun fact, and they are too short to really be entertaining stories, so I just have a books worth of little events in my life that are only somewhat intriguing but they compose who I am. And I think everyone is like that to a degree. We’re all little stories that we don’t think are worth telling. Not because we don’t want to, but because we don’t think don’t think they’re worthy of being heard.
#no clue what to tag this#random thoughts with rowan#existentialism#random thoughts#so anyway have a few of these little tid bits about me#a stranger#as a child I cursed when I cut the tip of my finger off and my first priority was apologizing for cursing#I once pretended to be interested in the Navy and made an appointment with a recruitment officer just so I could take his mug ☕️#I’ve had to pull tarantula fangs out of one of my coworkers#I once told a teacher that they couldn’t call my mom on me because she was in prison#I learned how to juggle because I thought it was imprsssive and then stopped practicing once I leaned that people thought it was lame#I had a bird named Devil who I only owned for two days before returning to the pet store after he attacked my mom#I set a bag of popcorn on fire by accident and the first thing I did was grab it with my hands#during my freshman year of high school I collected chapstick because I thought my future girlfriend would want to have options…#cont. and I never once wore any of the 60+ chapsticks of mine while kissing someone#instead of selling lemonade I used to sell painted rocks on a street corner#during a group project I forgot how to pronounce Ohio#In elementary school I told the lunch ladies I was allergic to wheat because I hated whole wheat and now I actually am#I know most of the lyrics to the songs from The Greatest Showman but have never seen it#as a child I thought plums were a made up fruit#I planned on joining the military out of spite against people telling me I would not have enjoyed it#I flooded a classroom and got doused by a chem shower on my second day as a lab assistant#and uhhh there’s more but have this for now#fun facts

So I just did my own eyebrow tint on a budget at home with.. men's beard dye.
Here's my review (out of 5 stars)
Effect for the price point : ★★★★
Price : ★★★★★ [$10]
Ease : ★★★
Level-Up Effect: ★★★
It was fairly simple and relatively cheap. My brows are now tinted a medium brown and it stained fairly well but I DO think I should have left the tail end on longer for it to stain my skin and hold shape.
It isn't AS good as a professional brow tint / ombre brow but I think it can definitely be a great alternative. I did choose a color a little too dark for my skin unfortunately!
I did get this shit all over my hands though..
Tips:
Keep multiple Q-tips on hand. Some with a wet tip to wipe away mistakes before it completely develops
Use a brow spoolie and brush to really work it in
Wait until the color has had time to develop IN the pan before you do anything !! This is very important, I didn't and I feel like it would have made a major difference with my results
Use a wet q tip to rub off the front of your brow so it doesn't come out blocky
Make sure you clean them up as you go
STAMP DON'T RUB! think about how with a cut crease you need to stamp to get the perfect lines.
Reasons I did this:
Reduces doing my eyebrows with makeup by 5-10 minutes easily
Makes natural makeup easier to do, as I won't need to add any product other than maybe a gel to hold them in place
Looks like I paid to have them done by a professional, when in fact I did not

I’M LOSING MY MIND OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, you lot, listen:
All these years, one of the things that I thought Cobra Kai needed to work on was developing Carmen’s individual personality, as they are doing with Amanda.
In most of her scenes, we know almost nothing about who Carmen is as a person, her thoughts, her likes and dislikes. We know details about her, like she was married, she is Ecuadorian, she’s an X-ray technician but what about her feelings and thoughts about things other than her son or Johnny? How does she feel about the karate war, about living in Reseda, about her son’s breakup with Tory, even about Robby? It’s never been addressed on-screen.
She’s not had any solo interactions with any other characters other than Johnny, Miguel and Yaya. We’ve only seen her with the Larussos with Johnny being present, though the show’s hinted before that she’s interacted with them and Miguel’s friends on her own.
I get that b/c Vanessa Rubio didn’t have main cast status until season 4, she didn’t have as much screen time, but I thought it was such a shame and I really hoped they would do more with her when they announced that she was getting promoted to main cast. Because I want to get to know Carmen as more than just Miguel’s mum.
I am so happy with the salsa double date coz I think that was my first insight into her as an individual- she’s a woman who likes dancing, who’ll take charge and lead her partner with confidence in that context. In that dancing scene, we see a bit of how Carmen might have been when she was young and all the troubles of the world and responsibilities of adulthood were not on her. She seemed carefree, dancing the night away with a guy she liked. It was something about her outside of her mother role. In that scene, I was watching her, not Johnny. It was beautiful.
So let me tell you, last season I ABSOLUTELY ADORED when she was like ‘Tom Cruise is so handsome’, because that is the first time I recall getting her opinion on something that isn’t related to Miguel or Johnny. Sure the wider conversation was about Miguel, but it was nice to know that she loved Top Gun and was attracted to Tom Cruise. That huge smile she has when she says it makes it even better.
So I really lost my shit when I saw this picture and I hope this scene doesn’t get deleted, because it’s so cute that Johnny is doing something that’s just for her. He ranted about his man crush on Iceman at the time, but I’d like to know that he was listening, paying attention to who or what she finds attractive, even feeling a little jealous. That conversation wasn’t just about his jealousy of/subconscious love for Daniel (who he obvs sees as Maverick), but that Carmen’s reaction was important to him.
And it would be super cute if even she thinks he wasn’t really paying attention to her comment at the time, but then he shows up randomly with this outfit and she’s stunned at how hot he looks and that he remembered what she’d said.
I feel Johnny already does these things off-screen, but I’d like a moment on-screen that is just about him and her. Something to show that he is in love with her as Carmen, as the person SHE IS, not just as the mother of his found son/favourite student.
We already got robbed from getting a hilarious Johnny/Carmen sneaking-around-getting-almost-caught montage in season 4, I hope this scene makes the final cut.

HELLO Gemma negotiated a meeting with an ancient dragon by making friends with her rebellious teenage daughter
