Murdoch Mysteries ("Murdoch Takes Manhattan," s8 e5) / Hélène Joy as Dr. Julia Ogden

I was looking at this dress for Black and White October, but then I realized it's actually black and beige! I think the color combination looks very sophisticated. I love how the stripes create visual interest by going in different directions, and the hat is great.

However, I'm not sure why they chose to fill in the yoke with that translucent material that almost matches her skin tone rather than leaving it open with a necklace as in the bottom picture. Possibly it's the difference between a day look and an evening look?

sometimes i remember that murdoch mysteries was originally supposed to end at season 5 and that’s why we haven’t gotten a happy season finale SINCE then

Oh yes. I sure do. I love that trope. Especially when there's a good amount of aftermath in it. Hospital scene, bandaging wounds, bruises for days. Love it. Here ya go:

black sails. show of all time. a story is true a story is untrue. wough 😵‍💫 have never been able to fully rewatch this show

the oa. watched this in april 2020 and SOBBED for 2 straight hours after finishing the second season because it was cancelled. its SO good and SO sexy (the house in s2 that eats people. my god....) and SO beautiful. forever mad it got cancelled because the cliffhanger makes me so crazy (i simply love when actors play themselves in things). jason isaacs

murdoch mysteries. well this show is not good (and is somehow still running) but i was Obsessed with it in middle/high school which has to count for something

dispatches from elsewhere. this show made me so crazy i genuinely believed the characters were going to walk out of my television screen and into real life. v funny and v heartfelt and also richard e grant is there to monologue at the camera

taskmaster. its fun! i love watching comedians fail to do tasks. shoutout to the guy on youtube who's uploading the new seasons :) also the new zealand and australian versions are v good

halt and catch fire. i watched this while i was quarantining in a hotel for 2 weeks and joe macmillan is the character of all time. keot yelling HE'S A PERSON at my laptop screen because he's real to me

It’s Saturday and time for a Murdoch Mysteries appreciation post. This week’s episode gives us another brilliant performance by Cyrus Lane as Roger Newsome’s brother Rupert Newsome

Season 14, Episode 8 “The Dominion of New South Mimico”

I love this cast and the recurring characters, especially the Newsomes.

I don’t know how the cast kept a straight face, especially Yannick and Daniel when Cyrus sang the national anthem of New South Mimico!!

So many great moments in this episode and Thomas Craig was a riot in this one and I love how when they want to behead Henry for treason against the queen and offer Brakenreid Henry’s job and that would mean he could execute Higgins that he actually contemplated taking it…heh!!!

Sit back and enjoy this wonderful comic episode!!

To be honest I kinda hope season 16 of Murdoch Mysteries is the last season, it's just- season 15 was kinda...it's just didn't feel like Murdoch anymore and I just hope they save it before it's to late. All good things must end and I love this show so much, started watching when I was 8 years old and I still watch it now. I can't wait to see how they start to wrap the show up!

last song: Idle Town by Conan Grey, I finally got back into my modern music playlist and that song absolutely hits the vibes right now (driving around my hometown at dusk?!)

last show: i have three in progress, i’m watching murdoch mysteries with my sister (<3 george), i was watching the durrels in corfu with our exchange student but she went home (🥹), and i watched the first part of stranger things season 4 by myself but can’t bring myself to finish the season yet (i also binge watched the summer i turned pretty on friday but it literally went by so fast i almost forgot)

currently watching/listening to: nothing?! we’ve been entertaining guests so i’ve been spending my usual tv time either out with them or playing sims (for funsies, not quite back to the paige family yet)

currently reading: also nothing but i’ve been wanting to read the boys on the boat since they’re making a movie and fun fact one of the rowers was from my town and graduated my high school

current obsession/hyper fixation: also nothing? usually i’m REALLY obsessed with one particular thing and i completely go off for MONTHS but our exchange student just left a few days ago so i’ve been very unmotivated/bored/lonely these past few days and am really just focusing on finding things to do. that being said i’ve been playing sims for fun, i’m working on episode 8 of the tv show i’m writing also for fun, i’ve been closely following the nhl dev camps since four of our players were drafted last week (two in the first round, ten are at camps 😎), i’ve been trying to spend time with the 2 friends that are actually home for summer break, and i’m trying to learn spanish for when i go to spain next summer! (trying and failing, i’m very mad at duolingo, literally trying to gatekeep languages)
