So Episode 68.
This episode written by Tsutomu Kamishiro, the future main writer of ARC-V. This is the last episode Kamishiro will be involved in ZEXAL, so say your condolences.
Haruto joins with Heartland facility to become part of Sphere Field Cannon, Biolizard style. Though he is in a crucifix pose.
Numbers Club are outside of the facility, so Kotori will be their proxy.
Mr. Heartland is sucked into gate to Astral World, but will end up in Barian World instead.
Orbital 7, and Astral sacrifice themselves to save Haruto, and Yuma respectively. Astral gives Shark Drake, and Utopia, and claims they are "hope and future", setting up Utopic Future. Since "future" originally referred to Shark Drake, I guess we will get a Utopic Future analogue for one of Shark's cards.
Dr. Faker is also flying on a flying throne, much like Leo will in the future.
The overall structure feels like the end of ARC-V S2, with the obvious future parallel with Mr. Heartland, and Roget.

The Culprit Hanzawa 2: Encountering People is Such A Mysterious Thing
Tumblr media
Based on Hanzawa the Criminal volume 1, file 3
Plot in five keywords:
Mr Hanzawa is still searching for an apartment
He wonders why other culprits act like newbies during their crimes and if he should get an expensive or a cheap apartment
When he meets Genta, he decides that he’s getting a cheap one
But he needs to find the right partner to share it with
And he meets his partner in crime (ba-dum-tss)
Important plot development:
First appearance of Tsutomu Hanbayashi
Hanzawa-san and Hanbayashi share an apartment from now on
Rating:
8/10 apartments
The lenght of the episodes is still way too short. I enjoy this so much. This episode is not as good as the first one, but still very entertaining. Hanzawa’s thoughts are also very funny, I’m already a fan of this series.

Days of eating soil (book review) ... Tsutomu Mizugami's "food" essay
Tumblr media
earthen pizza (just kidding)
Mr. Tsutomu Mizugami(勉 水上) (1919-2004) died recently, but he has an excellent book on "food". That is "every day eating soil, my devotion 12 months". (Although it seems to be read as "Minakami Tsutomu", he called it "Mizugami".)
When I used to read the manga "Oishinbo: a eater delicious foods", the main character, Shiro Yamaoka, when he said, "Among the cooking-related books that are full of street now,  it's only worth reading ..." I had an intuition, and that's right, Shiro mentioned this book. The only such (= worth reading) book is "days of eating soil". I knew this book about 30 years ago.
Tumblr media
Days of eating soil-Twelve months of my devotion (Shincho Bunko)
• Author: Tsutomu Minakami
• Publisher / Manufacturer: Shinchosha
• Release Date: 08/27/1982
• Media: Bunko
However, if I get a little mischievous, "If only" the days of eating soil "are worth reading, then" Oishinbo "will also be" a book not worth reading ", and it will be praised for its worthless book. "Days of eating soil" also invites the paradox that "it is not worth reading". Well, it's the rashness of Tetsu Kariya, the author of "Oishinbo". "Oishinbo" should have been excluded.
Coupled with the appearance of this "Oishinbo" and "children who refuse to eat the food in front of them because they are too annoying with the ingredients", it was a work with greater merit and demerit.
By the way, Tsutomu Mizugami was born in a poor lumberjack's house in the Wakasa region of Fukui prefecture. Was sent to a Zen temple). There he learns the basics of Vegetarian food, but at the end he leaves the temple, experiences various jobs, and is recognized as a writer for his work "Frying Pan Song". Then He had became a Naoki Prize writer.
In this book, if you read it in anticipation of a "cooking recipe", you will be wrong. Well, there is a way to pickle Umeboshi in the upper reaches of the water, but this book is a book that describes the "heart of cooking". Of course, Mr. Mizukami's culinary spirit shines when he encounters various ingredients.
At the time of writing this book, Mr. Mizugamiami lived in Karuizawa Town, Nagano Prefecture. Therefore, he develops the topic of vegetables and fruits that he can make, receive, and buy by himself. One of them, the part where Dogen Zenzi's(道元禅師) words were chewed upstream of the water:
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
When cooking and preparing all items, do not look at them with the eyes of ordinary people. Don't think in the mind of a mediocre person. You have to pick up a piece of grass and build a big temple and go into something like a fine dust to do the Buddhist sermon. Even when making poor vegetable cuisine, you shouldn't be disgusted or poor. Even if you're making a good meal with milk, don't be overjoyed. You should hold back your bouncing heart. You must not be obsessed with anything. Why is there a way to dislike poor things? Why don't we try to be good without being lazy even if it is poor? Never let your heart move by being caught up in the goodness of goods. Changing the mind with things and changing the language with people is not something that is bodhicitta.
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
33P-34P
This word is the fundamental thesis of "every day eating soil". For example, with regard to radish, while despising an actor who cannot sell as a "radish actor", he says, "There are no ingredients that are as grateful as radish that can be obtained anytime, anywhere." , I think that it is a good radish with enough "spiciness".
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Also, from the description in the chapter in July, myoga (Japanese ginger) is called "stupid" by the greengrocers. Shurihandoku(One of disciples of Buddha )has a weak memory by nature, often forgets his name, walks with his name tag down, and myoga grows from his dead grave. I followed him around. Here is a word from Mr. Mizugami: "For me, myoga is like a summer vegetable that I want to do a medal, but what do readers think? I don't know the vegetables that have the amazing flavor). "
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
122P-126P
A word of the day: Winter, when you eat only dry foods without blue vegetables, spring April and edible wild plants, bamboo shoots in May, plum making in June, Japanese ginger in July, and so on. Seasonal ingredients will appear naturally, and you will be able to see each ingredient and the dishes made with it. Please take a look at this work, which is like a gem that treats those ingredients without distinction.

Do-yun Yu and Akiko Koyama in Death by Hanging (Nagisa Oshima, 1968) Cast.: Do-yun Yu, Kei Sato, Fumio Watanabe, Hosei Kamatsu, Rokko Toura, Ishiro Ishida, Masao Adachi, Akiko Koyama. Screenplay: Michinori Fukao, Mamoru Sasaki, Tsutomu Tamura, Nagisa Oshima. Cinematography: Yasuhiro Yoshioka. Music: Hikaru Hayashi. Nagisa Oshima is one of the great artists of the second half of the 20th century whom nobody has heard of. That's an exaggeration, of course: Lots of cinéastes and students of Japanese film obviously know Oshima's work, but ordinary people who pride themselves on their knowledge of Kurosawa or Ozu often know little about him, unless it's his English-language film starring David Bowie, Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence (1983). Maybe it's because Oshima doesn't lend himself to easy description: You can't take any one of his films as representative of the style and content of any of the others. There's a vast difference between the harrowing upperclass family drama The Ceremony (1971) and the poignant account of an abused child's initiation into crime, Boy (1969), or between the scathing look at rootless Japanese young people in Cruel Story of Youth (1960) and what is probably Oshima's best-known film in the West, the sexually explicit In the Realm of the Senses (1976). His willingness to experiment has tagged Oshima as the Japanese Jean-Luc Godard, but he seems to me more the heir to the great modernists of the early-to-mid-20th century: Kafka, Joyce, Faulkner, Brecht, Genet. Certainly Death by Hanging has been singled out as "Brechtian" for its outrageous transformation of politically charged subject matter, capital punishment, into something like tragic farce. It's also "Kafkaesque" in its lampoon of bureaucrats. But mostly it's an audacious transformation of a polemic into an uproarious and finally sad satire. The protagonist (Do-yun Yu) is called "R.," which immediately brings to mind Kafka's "K."  He has raped and murdered two young women and is about to hang in the Japanese prison's scrupulously neat death house. But the hanging doesn't take: R. simply doesn't die, and in the ensuing confusion, none of the prison officials knows what to do. There's a flurry of arguments about whether, having survived the hanging, he's even still R., his soul presumably having left the body after the execution. Things grow still more problematic after R. emerges from a post-hanging coma and doesn't remember who he is. Can they hang him again? Much of this hysteria is over-the-top funny, especially the determination of the Education Officer, played with farcical broadness by Fumio Watanabe, to restore R.'s memory by re-creating his past and his crimes. He was the son of poor Korean immigrants, and the satire shifts away from capital punishment to the Japanese treatment of Koreans, as the prison staff voices some of the worst prejudices and stereotypes that the Japanese have of Koreans. Eventually, the Education Officer, trying to re-create one of R.'s crimes, murders a young woman himself. But by that time, the film has departed from any resemblance to actuality into symbolic fantasy. It's a very theatrical film in the sense that even when it departs from the confines of the death house, where most of it takes place, and explores the outside world, talk dominates action. But where that might have been a strike against the film, it adds to its claustrophobic quality, the feeling of being plunged deeply into an absurd but entirely recognizable situation. Maybe that should be called "Oshimaesque."

So basically you have no actual proof that DSOD didn’t hurt Arc-V, even though Occam’s Razor suggests it did. But because you hate Arc-V/shill so hard for Vrains you present it as fact.
Tumblr media
No, I made an observation that there's literally no staff overlap like there was with Bonds Beyond Time which has a better argument of why the second half of 5D's was such a bizarre show with rather flippant writing choices of the movie causing problems for 5D's, as the director and writer for that movie were Katsumi Ono and Yoshida Shin, the top people for 5D's, so much so that for 2 months worth of episodes, Mr. Ono had to step away (which led to Crashtown)
DSOD had no meaningful staff overlap, and basically the problems everyone criticizing the show on just merits and complaints derives from writing choices made in episodes written by Kamishiro Tsutomu, who can be observed as having written only for one show since ARC-V's airing, and apparently is now writing for manga under a psuedonym.
That speaks to the observation, with Occam's Razor, that Kamishiro Tsutomu sucked at his job, was essentially blacklisted from his profession as a result of the fall out of ARC-V being such a contentious entry to put it mildly that one can infer that the industry doesn't want to hire a person who nearly Hindenberg'd one of the major cash cow franchises in Japan.
"Entities should not be multiplied beyond necessity", it's easier to explain the show falling apart because the Series Composition role was headed by a guy who did a bad job, rather than funding vampirism from DSOD. As DSOD was more than likely in development during the back end of ZEXAL too, and ZEXAL didn't fall apart.
Please explain to me how DSOD, which has a completely separate staff structure, made Mr. Kamishiro Tsutomu write such gems as "Sergey gets beaten to death with pipes after a tragic noble end vs Jack", "Yuya pisses his pants at his dragons", "Let's negate Ruri's agency at defying her own brainwashing" "Let's not have Yuya defeat his own personal demon controlling him and it gets resolved by a non-entity with barely any personality who basically negates all the work of the rest of the cast", "Yuzu teleports the plot away so I don't have to explain my one note mystery box" and other winners and gems like that.

So Episode 61.
This two-parter is written by Tsutomu Kamishiro, ARC-V's future main writer.
Heartland has its own Duel Tower, in obvious allusion to Battle City's Duel Tower, where the finals will take place.
Shark is initially near-lifeless due to brainwashing, but Tron eventually uses his powers to reconstruct his personality.
Tron rearranges Shark's memories to think Dr. Faker caused the misery of his life, instead of IV, and claims Yuma has decided to partner with him. During this, Yuma does an evil laugh, I'm pretty sure his VA enjoyed that.
This memory rearranging power will become Don Thousand's modus operandi, once we find out the backstory of the Barian Emperors.
There is a minor running gag of Cathy scratching Tokunosuke's face due to his comments.
This episodes serves as the debut of Dododo Bot, and Gogogo Ghost.
The whole Tron brainwashes Shark plot is likely a reference to both Manjoume in SoL, and Jack's initial role in Rex's plan. Kaito is associated with Mr. Heartland, so Shark couldn't remain as the free actor.

Recently, Reddit user CivilReaction asked, "What’s a fact that sounds fake but is 100% true?" and there were a ton of answers about history. Here are a few historical facts that were utterly wild — whether because they were super disturbing, really implausible, or just plain weird.*Along with responses from these Reddit threads.1."The Rodney King beating was only recorded because the man who filmed it was trying to record the shooting of what would be the 'Bad to the Bone' scene in Terminator 2 at the biker bar. The full length version of the Rodney King video features Arnold Schwarzenegger."2."Star Trek is at least partially responsible for one of the most monumental events in United States political history.""In 2004, Jack Ryan was running for Senate as a Republican. He was running for a seat where the incumbent was a Republican who was retiring, so it should have been a very winnable seat for him.But he was also having marriage issues with his wife: Jeri Ryan. She was an actor who just got hired for a role as a Borg named seven-of-nine in a new Star Trek series. Jack was not a fan of her now busy schedule in Hollywood while he campaigned for the Senate. That strain on their marriage eventually led to them going to divorce court.Despite Jack asking for the details to be sealed, the California court released the details of their case which included Mr. Ryan routinely pressuring Mrs. Ryan to do sex acts in public. The scandal caused Jack Ryan to drop out of the race close to the general election. The Republicans put up Alan Keyes as their nominee, but there wasn't enough time left to really promote him before the election. The Senate seat ended up going to his democratic opponent in a landslide: a relatively unknown community organizer from Chicago named Barack Obama."—u/Apollo_T_Yorp Nam Y. Huh-Pool / Getty Images3.Japanese man Tsutomu Yamaguchi was in Hiroshima for work on August 6, 1945, when the first atomic bomb was dropped less than two miles away. He survived with severe burns and ruptured eardrums, and made his way home to Nagasaki. After he was treated, he returned to work. His boss called him in for a meeting to recount the bombing, and while he was telling the story, the second atomic bomb hit Nagasaki less than two miles away. Yamaguchi again survived, and recovered from his severe radiation poisoning — he didn't die until 2010, when he was 93. While Yamaguchi was the only person honored by the Japanese government for surviving both bombs, as many as 165 experienced both bombings. Jemal Countess / WireImage via Getty Images4.Speaking of radiation poisoning — "Over 70 years ago then Naval Lieutenant James 'Jimmy' Carter led a team that walked into a melting nuclear reactor core and shut it down safely. He got dosed with so much radioactivity (1,000x more than what we now consider safe), he pissed radioactive whizz for months. Yet he outlived not only his Presidential successor but his successor. He’s the nation's oldest President ever, and recently celebrated his 77th wedding anniversary, also a record for a President. ... The man is made of iron." CQ Roll Call via Getty Images5.Also, re: Jimmy Carter...both Carter and former president Bill Clinton allegedly lost nuclear codes while in office. Carter apparently kept them in his jacket, then sent said jacket to the dry cleaner's, and Clinton allegedly "misplaced" the codes, which were missing for months. John Nacion / WireImage via Getty Images6.The man who overthrew the Hawaiian monarchy and eventually convinced the US to annex the territory was Sanford B. Dole, an American (he had been born in Hawaii, but to American parents) businessman dealing in the booming sugar industry in Hawaii who wanted to make his own job easier and more lucrative. He made himself president of Hawaii, and his cousin James Drummond Dole came to live with him, apparently idolizing him and hoping to make his own fortune in planting. Dole began farming and canning pineapples, founding the Dole Food Company that's still responsible for canned pineapple and treats like Dole Whip today.
Allen J. Schaben / Los Angeles Times via Getty Images7.The lack of mummies in museums is because we used to eat them. In the 16th and 17th centuries, many Europeans would consume "medicines" made from human corpses that were supposed to cure a number of different maladies. Some were from burial sites, stolen from gravediggers — other medicines were made from mummies stolen from Egypt. They'd crumble them and create tinctures as well as make powders out of skulls. KHALED DESOUKI/AFP via Getty Images8.Ice cream was used to boost US Navy morale during WWI, considering Prohibition made it impossible to drink. Even after Prohibition ended, ice cream proved almost an obsession for the Navy. The US spent $1 million on an ice cream barge to travel around to other ships. In 1942, when the USS Lexington began to sink after being hit by Japanese torpedos and bombs (causing the death of 216 soldiers), remaining soldiers raided their freezer and ate every single container of ice cream before fleeing the ship.9.There was a massive uptick in violent crime beginning in the 1960s and hitting a crescendo in the 1990s. While there have been multiple theories as to the cause of this increase and subsequent decrease, one of the most compelling arguments has to do with leaded gasoline. Lead poison can cause serious brain damage, and there were direct correlations with lead emissions young children were exposed to and violent crime when those children would've been adults. Removing lead from gasoline seems to have led to a significant decrease in crime, with the decreasing crime levels corresponding with how slowly or quickly lead-free gasoline was introduced (even at a neighborhood level). Bendc / Getty Images/iStockphoto10.We've barely scratched the surface when it comes to native populations in the Americas — by the time people were actively settling there, diseases had already wiped out a massive percentage. The settlers were so impressed by the fertile and lush land because the land had already been cultivated and cared for: But the people who lived there had been wiped out. There are whole societies we may just not know about. Hulton Archive / Getty Images11.In fact, Spanish explorer Francisco de Orellana claimed he found massive, prosperous civilizations and cities along the Amazon River when he visited the Inca Empire. By the time the Spanish went to check it out, they found nothing there but jungle. While it's possible Orellana lied, it's also possible that massive trade cities like the ones Orellana claimed to have seen completely died out over the years from disease. The existence of these ancient cities along the Amazon River is still contested today, but new evidence supports Orellana's claims more and more. Check out this documentary for more info, and read more about Francisco here. They can mostly be traced back to the influence of Walter Freeman, a neurologist who named the procedure and brought it to the US. He performed over 3,000 lobotomies from the 1930s–1960s, becoming more and more loose with his procedure and who he would use it on. About halfway into this, he came up with a technique that he said didn't require an operating room or anesthesia, and started giving lobotomies out of his van. Bettmann Archive / Getty ImagesSome of his patients were children, many of whom were simply badly behaved. His last lobotomy was in 1967 — and the patient, Helen Mortensen, died as a result of it. In fact, his operations had about a 14% fatality rate. Despite all this, Lobotomies continued into the '80s in Scandinavia. Bettmann / Bettmann Archive via Getty Images13.Speaking of lobotomies: One of President JFK's siblings, Rosemary Kennedy, received a lobotomy in 1940 at the age of 22. Rosemary mainly seemed to deal with learning difficulties and occasionally violent mood swings, but she was by all accounts
a lively young woman until the procedure, which was authorized by her father to deal with her mood swings. Some, however, have suggested it was Rosemary's rebellious nature and the family's fear of her getting pregnant (which would be a huge scandal for the politically involved family) that led to the lobotomy. Keystone-France/Gamma-Keystone via Getty ImagesRosemary's mental abilities devolved into that of a toddler, and she was sent away to a "Catholic facility for the mentally disabled" for two decades. Her siblings were not told where she was and could not visit her. Bachrach / Getty Images14.Here's another modern company with a messed-up history. Back in the 20th century, chemical conglomerate IG Farben manufactured the gas Zyklon B, which was used in gas chambers in the Holocaust. Its factory workers included unpaid labor from people in concentration camps. Part of that conglomerate? The company we know today as Bayer. Corbis via Getty Images15.Bayer also briefly sold heroin as a medicine for colds, bronchitis, and pneumonia. It was marketed to children. Bettmann / Bettmann Archive via Getty Images16.Green-colored clothing and decor became all the rage in the 1800s after arsenic was used to make a green dye. It took them years to figure out that arsenic was poison. Roberto Machado Noa/LightRocket via Getty Images17.Similarly, radioactive makeup was common back in the day — as was toothpaste, hairspray, deodorant, etc. Radium paint was also used for clock hands. A large number of women and teenage girls were employed to paint the clocks and were told it was safe, despite their employer, US Radium, knowing it was hazardous. They were even encouraged to lick the tips of the brushes into points. Many of the women later died of radiation poisoning. Daily Herald Archive/SSPL / Getty Images18.While scientists were aware radiation was dangerous, they didn't know how much people could be exposed to and survive. Since the Manhattan Project was exposing a bunch of workers to radiation, the government decided to attempt tests to figure out just out how unsafe the radiation was. They exposed allegedly terminally ill patients to different radioactive elements (like polonium, plutonium, and uranium) to see what would happen and how long it would stay in their blood. Patients were most likely not aware of what they were receiving — and many were not actually terminally ill.Take Albert Stevens, who had been misdiagnosed with cancer and actually just had an ulcer. He later became known as the most radioactive person alive due to the amount of radiation in his body as a result of the experiments (6,400rem over the years; yet he lived until 79). He was never told he had been exposed to plutonium; nor that he did not, in fact, have cancer. Universal History Archive/Universal Images Group via Getty ImagesHuman experiments with radioactivity continued into the 1950s — subjects ranged from children to jailed people to pregnant mothers, most of whom did not know what was being done to them. Brooks Kraft LLC/Corbis via Getty Images19."In WWII Germany, [meth] was widely used among the general population and in the military. ... Some historians say the only reason their Blitzkrieg campaign was so successful was because the soldiers were so hopped up on meth. There are stories of Allied commanders freaking out because the German ground forces arrived faster than humanly possible, completely overwhelming the unprepared French forces. Aside from the military, it was apparently very common for the general population to pop a Pervitin (their brand name for methamphetamine) if they were feeling a little tired, or needed to clean for a house party, etc." Bettmann / Bettmann Archive via Getty Images20.During the Cold War, the CIA tested out if mind control was possible using LSD, electroshock, and sleep deprivation in a project called MK-ULTRA. Who were these tests done on? American prisoners, prisoners in foreign detention centers, those in psychiatric hospitals and schools, and unwitting CIA agents themselves.
Some of the victims were pregnant mothers and children. Brooks Kraft / Sygma via Getty ImagesWe still don't know how many died or were permanently altered as a result of these experiments — which did not prove the possibility of mind control, though mind erasing seemed to occur. One death we do know occurred because of MK-ULTRA was that of CIA agent Frank Olson, who jumped out a window after being sent to a retreat where he was given LSD without his knowledge. The CIA covered up the true nature of his death for decades — and when Olson's body was exhumed many years later, there was evidence he had actually been thrown out the window, leading many to believe the CIA killed him due to his knowledge.Above, you can see President Ford meeting with Olson's family many years later to apologize. Bettmann Archive via Getty Images21.You've heard of zoos, right? Well, did you know that many countries — including the US — had human zoos? Fine Art Images/Heritage Images / Getty ImagesThese were basically small fake villages where Indigenous peoples from different places — often Africa — would live in an exaggerated version of the culture these (mostly white) countries thought they lived in. Many of them died in these villages. Keystone-FranceGamma-Rapho via Getty ImagesSometimes, people would be displayed in cages, often naked. One man was displayed with an orangutan in the Bronx Zoo, suggesting he was an evolutionary link between orangutans and modern humans. Apic / Getty ImagesHuman zoos still (kind of) exist. There was an episode of An Idiot Abroad where they visited a faux village of people with dwarfism who perform and interact with tourists. There's been a bunch of controversy about whether or not the Kingdom of the Little People is in fact a human zoo — inhabitants are paid — but it certainly sounds similar to past "human zoos."22.And finally, there are a number of lost nuclear weapons in various seas around the world, some of which are too dangerous to attempt to recover. In fact, there have been 32 nuclear weapon accidents, and at least six of those weapons were never recovered. Hulton Archive / Getty Images

// My Egg’s Lost ...

My Egg's Lost
In the midst of the bustling road was an egg that was standing upright on its shell. There is one person who is the only one who appears to have noticed it, and she is the one dressed in white. Mr. Hokama Hisoka kept a quiet eye on her as she moved around the edges of his field of vision. It appears that Mr. Hokama Hisoka has taken note of Madam Shoji Kame. When she is dressed in a bright white blouse and pants and sitting alone on a beautiful day, it would be difficult for her to observe someone without easily being noticed. Madam Shoji Kame asked Ogata Nao, the waiter who was serving her, why the man sitting a few tables away from her seemed to be staring weirdly out onto the road at the egg standing on its end, and he told her he didn't know why he was doing it. Ogata Nao revealed the man’s identity to Madam Shoji Kame in a stealthy manner by telling her his name is Hokama Hisoka, and he consistently does the same thing for his daily coffee. After that, Ogata Nao walked away, and Madam Shoji Kame watched him enter the restaurant and speak with his manager. Kuro followed him into the cafe and entered by following Ogata Nao from the back. It's not very often that he takes notice of Kuro, but every once in a while he does. Mr. Nishikawa Tsutomu, who was the owner of the cafe, was curious about Ogata Nao's chat with Madam Shoji Kame, who is a frequent patron of his establishment. As soon as Ogata Nao put his serving tray on the counter, Mr. Nishikawa Tsutomu went up to him to ask what they were talking about, while Kuro immediately made a beeline for the nearest wall. Kuro can't understand what they were saying to one another, but the level of intensity in their exchange was palpable. "What was it that you and Madame Shoji Kame were conversing about?" Ogata Nao told him that Madame Shoji Kame was asking about Mr. Hokama Hisoka, who was sitting a few tables away. "There is nothing, in all honesty," Ogata Nao explained. She questioned, "Why is Mr. Hokama Hisoka staring at the egg standing upright in the centre of a bustling road?" "Absurd!" "What is that, an egg standing perfectly still in the centre of the road in front of our cafe?" "You're absolutely right; that's what she said to me," Ogata Nao responded. Kuro's eyes followed Mr. Nishikawa Tsutomu as he walked up to the window of the cafe behind Mr. Hokama Hisoka and looked over his shoulder to get a better look at the scene that was unfolding outside on the road. While Oye Toshiko was clearing the dining table, she too couldn't help but keep glancing over at Ogata Nao and Mr. Nishikawa Tsutomu as they carried on an animated conversation from a distance. Kuro turned around to look at Ogata Nao again; the waitress, Oye Toshiko, was already approaching him. She stepped up beside Ogata Nao and asked, "What's that all about?" "It’s nothing." "Not even worth mentioning." Ogata Nao snapped, "None of your business." "Judging by the expression on Mr. Nishikawa Tsutomu's face, it doesn't appear to be nothing," Oye Toshiko said. Ogata Nao and Oye Toshiko were both gazing at Mr. Nishikawa Tsutomu, who was standing at the window of the cafe and peering outside. "Would it be possible for you, Oye, to refrain from chewing?" It seems like he's becoming increasingly aggravated. "You are referring to my chewing gum, right?" Her response was, "Not that he knows," and Oye Toshiko emphasised the fact. "That's not the point," Ogata Nao said. Oye Toshiko interrupted him and extended an invitation to join her for drinks later on. "Same place, same time." It was impossible for him not to say "sure." After observing Mr. Nishikawa Tsutomu walk back to them, Kuro noticed Oye Toshiko had made the decision to walk away, giving Ogata Nao space and letting him finish what he was doing. Ogata Nao was standing there, and Mr. Nishikawa Tsutomu informed him, "There's no egg there." He shared Ogata Nao's view that there was nothing out of the ordinary to be seen. "Well, you don't expect me to tell them that they're crazy, do you?" asked Ogata Nao. Mr. Nishikawa Tsutomu gave it some careful consideration for a brief period of time. "You are completely correct," was his affirmative response. Mr. Nishikawa Tsutomu then turned around and returned to the kitchen from which he had emerged, muttering to himself, "Fucking insane world out there." Ogata Nao has no choice but to agree with him while turning his focus back to Madam Shoji Kame, who is still watching Mr. Hokama Hisoka look at the assumed egg standing upright in the middle of a busy road. The black cat, Kuro, who was keeping watch over them, was clearly amused. ***** Hashinokawa was a name only a select few were familiar with, and it was a land that stretched across many planes. It was both mysterious and lifeless, beyond anyone's wildest imagination. At that location, a castle could be found perched atop the most elevated point of a mountain of large rocks. The dark lord yelled out in a loud and resounding manner, which was capable of shattering the strong window panes of the castle, "My egg's lost!" Back at the cafe, Kuro's sensitive ears began to twitch, and he exclaimed, "Oh, dear." It is now in progress.
