Might have gotten a "new" one...
I'm naming this one "Mono" btw.

Lonely Bots with a space theme who long for someone to hold- [just gonna use this ask to slap on the full blurb I made with these two cuties]

Mono finds Nightlight abandoned in a scrap yard on what would've been their last evening on earth for some time - searching for the perfect item to bring with them until they returned. Throughout their travels, Mono had developed an affinity for collecting souvenirs from the planets they stumbled upon. Though its time was often brief - Mono felt a certain homesickness for every planet as they no longer had a home of their own. When they reached earth, their little hobby gradually escalates to a borderline addiction. So many treasures left for grabs in places like junk yards or antique shops simply because humans no longer see their worth.
If it were up to Mono, they would've taken everything they set their eye upon, but all that weight may not be good for their ship. They needed to find the perfect treasure to bring back with them..
And so they did.
"H..he....hello?"
When Mono found Nightlight - the poor android was in a terrible state of repair. Their dominant arm was nowhere to be seen, body covered in dirt and small scratches. Mono knew from the moment it saw Nightlight they'd do anything to fix them. Never had they'd seen such gorgeous craftsmanship from humans - only for them to be abandoned in cold, awful place like this. Mono carries Nightlight and the blanket they found the android in to their ship. What Mono thought to be a final gesture of kindess from the humans who cared for them would later be revealed as the cruelest act by far.
"They didn't even bother to shut me off properly... My last owners... They just put me in a blanket and made sure my solar panels were covered...I still remember...everything..."
The energy draining from their body. The loss of mobility in their limbs, unable to move even if they tried after being left in idle mode. Their former owners couldn't even give them the mercy of powering them down completely or wiping their system.
Nightlight isn't their usual self when they first meet Mono, but it isn't long before they're back to their cheerful self with how considerate and caring Mono is. Hints of their former self presented whenever Mono offers to leave their former owners to rot in filth or to rip off the arms of thieves who stole their arms. They haven't known them long, but they can tell Mono would never hurt they soul which they wouldn't.....at least not in front of their new crewmate. It's also hard for Nightlight to feel down when they can see earth right outside their bedroom window.
"Whoa! Is that earth?! It looks so small from up here... Look, I can hold it in my hands!"
Nightlight's energetic self is exactly what Mono's ship needed for it to finally feel like home to the alien. The android's lights are quite useful when the light surrounding the ship are on the fritz again as well. When it's time to repair nightlight's arm, Mono sneaks in parts of their metal into the limb during its construction. Unbeknownst to Nightlight, in Mono's culture that means they're already lovers.
Tiny human sized nightlight rides around on Mono's shoulders or clings to the larger bot's arms, legs, or hip whenever they're exploring. Anyone they meet along their journey can see how quick to iteration Mono is without their Starlight hanging off of them.
As some may know, Mono's native language best translate to Morse code. What some may not know - and something Mono was clearly unaware of is that Nightlight can understand them perfectly-

"It is true they are a marvel to see in person...."
Mono trails off, sliding their fingers over the collar around its neck.

"Oh! Are you talking about me? You're so sweet, Mono - i think you shine bright too."
".-- …. .- - ..--.. -.-.-- ..... You can understand me? How long have you been able to..."
"Forever? You talk a whole lot in your sleep, y'know. It's cute... I love you too by the way."
The embarrassment may temporarily shut Mono's systems down, but hearing Nightlight reciprocates their feelings is what kills them.

Fat tip number 5 (pt 2): what type of fat should I eat?
Although there are many types of fat in foods such as: saturated fats, trans fat, mono saturated fat, polyunsaturated fat, and omega-3. The most important of the fats that we will be learning about are trans fat, saturated fat, and polyunsaturated fat. Now, why is this important, you may ask? Well, my piggies, this is a defining factor to whether or not you will be eating to an early grave.
Starting with the death piggies, the best fat you can enjoy and ensure your arteries get clogged up is to eat a bunch of trans fat and saturated fats. Starting with the best heart stopper of all: trans fats are well known for causing clogged blood vessels, heart complications, increased chance of insulin resistance, and inflammation. Some foods with trans fats include: fried food, cakes, ice cream, pizza, and microwave popcorn. Ya know, the process junk.
Saturated fats are much easier to find in everyday food, mainly comprised of animal fat, you only need to eat 25g of Saturated fat daily to be moderately healthy, to put this onto perspective on how easy it is to go above 25g... one apple fritter contains roughly 20-25g of Saturated fat, so just eating 2 will be above the recommended amount. Now this will only increase the rate of obesity but it will not kill you as fast compared to trans fat.
Now for some good and healthy fat! This is actually fairly straightforward, stay away from the unhealthy fats mentioned above and eat more veggies and meat. This will improve your overall health, and when eaten in excess, it will grow more subcutaneous fat which is very beneficial for you fatties!

2023's additions to your magic the gathering interaction suite: trinkit's top five control pieces you should be playing now!
There's been a lot of interesting and delightful removal and counterspell cards printed in 2023, and as a sendoff to the year as your resident control player i'd love to talk about the new cards that i'm playing in my interaction-heavy commander decks :) this takes the form of a countdown list because it's fun and clickbaity and consumable but every card on this list is fun new (largely spell-based) interaction i have played with in commander decks and recommend you give a try!
starting off with our honorable mention: Invasion of New Capenna! while not a card i feel i can recommend in just any deck, this plays so well in Incubate-heavy decks, which is one of my favorite new mechanics introduced this year! this card is an auto-include in Brimaz, Blight of Oreskos, which has been a favorite deck of mine this year. Two mana exile removal on either artifact or creature, which you can easily sac a white dork (or untapped incubate token!) for the casting cost. furthermore, Invasion of New Capenna (inky for short) is the only battle i have ever transformed-- it's legitimately very good as a typal equipment (especially for incubate phyrexian tokens!). if you have an orzhov tokens deck this likely flew under your radar and i'd recommend giving it a shot :)
number 5 on the list is Cyber Conversion, a new blue staple removal piece. if you're in white or black, you'd be hard pressed to add Cyber Conversion over the other available options-- but this measures up very, very well against the other blue options! it's incredibly playable, allowing for niche interactions, preventing commanders from going back to the command zone until they can kill the cyberman, getting past indestructible (difficult in mono blue!), and generally being a cute little card. @devilkittydeckbuilding is more hype on this card than i am, so feel free to send it an ask about its favorite niche Cyber Conversion interaction, it can easily be the best option in a lot of scenarios. a Witness Protection at instant speed feels very good in hand.
number 4 is my personal favorite new interaction piece, Bronzebeak Foragers! this is like if a Oblivion Ring did everything you wanted it to-- and i already adore Oblivion Ring effects :3
Bronzebeak makes its appearance in so many of my games, and it constantly pulls its weight. it's a Grasp of Fate you can block with, it's a Fiend Hunter you can junk the exile with, it's a Banisher Priest that gains you life. this might be simultaneously one of the nonlegendary cards i have cast the most in the last couple months and the one that's pulled its weight the best. it's a body, it hits nonland permanents, it hits every opponent, it can junk the item, it can gain you life! what more do you need <3
where Bronzebeak tends to overperform is in my Oloro, Ageless Ascetic control deck, where junking a card with its activated ability gains you life, which you can use to draw a card with Oloro! every part of the card feels really good, especially in dedicated control decks-- you should play this card.
3rd on our list is a delightful card I adore slotting into every nonblue deck I can fit it in-- Reprieve!
Reprieve feels good to play. returning to hand is obviously not going to save you the game every time, but it does in a very good number of them :3 and the little extra bits they added to the card to supplement it feel wonderful too-- letting you cantrip it makes it feel so much better to slot in to your interaction suite, and the fact that it bypasses "cannot be countered" (especially when it's used to send back an uncounterable game-ending Thassa's Oracle) is very niche but feels so fucking good when it comes into play.
i've been building a lot of red/white decks lately (i've been on a bit of a mardu kick :3) and i tend to play reprieve alongside Lapse of Certainty and Tibalt's Trickery (and Red Elemental Blast sometimes) as a very delightful to resolve boros counterspell suite which has been incredibly fun.
#2 is Guff Rewrites History!
they've really been pushing removal lately.
hitting each opponent at the table is really. really good. maybe a bit better than wotc is giving it credit for at the moment-- because the table tends to shake when you resolve Guff Rewrites History for the low cost of three mana.
first of all, the rules text on this card doesn't really convey right away that you are basically sacking any random token for a cascade trigger for any cmc. I don't actually play GRH (pronounced as a dog barking growl "grrrh!!!" when at a table of trans girls) outside of decks that provide me with solid sac fodder-- it's performed for me recently mostly by sacking food tokens in my Rocco, Street Chef and 1/1 humans in my Silvar & Trynn. so that's the first boon-- minimal cost cascade in a deck that's built around it.
second, you hit nonenchantment, nonland for /each player/ which is an insane trick for red to get. this might be one of the best feeling interaction spells i've ever resolved. this thing pulls its weight and then some-- sac a token to it as soon as you can.
the best interaction piece of the year is not a particularly exciting one nor a surprising one-- Stroke of Midnight.
i like Stroke. it does the thing. it's cute! cinderella's silly moment :3 what if Generous Gift couldn't hit lands (not a big deal) and in return the token it gives them is way, way, way worse (a big deal!)
this is a pretty easy addition to any deck. it's nonland permanent, it's minimal downsides, it's instant speed, three mana-- what more do you want?
here's hoping for a fox themed boros removal spell 2024 <3

A 1970's Teenager's Bedroom

"March 1977. An old Revere reel to reel recorder (salvaged from the town dump by my father) is now mounted on the wall. This unit was from 1957 and despite having no cabinet, worked quite well. It was only mono, but at 7 1/2 ips the sound was actually pretty good. I had this recorder up until around 1999 when I finally retired it permanently. 40+ years of service out of a piece of gear… most of the junk sold today would be lucky to last 1/3 that long. Things were built to last back then, this recorder was very well made and heavy. Also visible in this photo is a Realistic multitester. This item was very helpful in doing various measurements!"

So like... like...
Here I am, just minding my own business, being in a somewhat better place mentally in these past couple months (despite my world getting increasingly worse ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ), considering slowly getting back to fandoms and reactivating my social media and stuff*... especially after having an AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH moment over Loulou*di's Dying Matter**
...and then I open Twitter, and the HanaDoll* account comes at me like
....WHAT
I'm so worried! I really really don't want this franchise to get one of those really cheaply made idol animes, like the TsukiPro show... but I don't think they have the funds of even UtaPri, let alone Idolish7 or something... Also this franchise has such an amazingly well thought-out visual design, it would really really suck to see it not being done justice in an anime, but I can't imagine it having the sort of money to make it happen... Oh well, we'll see.
Anyway, though, it says the anime will be adapting Season 1, which is I guess a safe way to go? It's a good introduction to the HanaDoll* world. Honestly, though, I would have preferred more manga over an anime. S2 would make a great manga, especially with Loulou*di and the sheer intensity of their... *gestures wildly* their everything. Maybe, if the anime makes any decent business, they'll restart the manga.

*If anyone happened to have read this far - I apologize to anyone who have written to me or messaged me! I turned off app notifications on all my social media, but left email notifications on Tumblr, and got none, so I was like okay, so it's peace and quiet... except as I found out a week ago, my email client at one point decided to deliver all my Tumblr notification emails right into my junk folder. 😩And since that folder is set to be emptied in every five days... yeah, I basically missed everything. So I'm very sorry if you wrote to me and I didn't reply!
**I haven't had the opportunity to listen to the Think Of Me: Ark drama yet, but of course I did listen to the songs, and look,
1. I don't need to have listened to the drama to assume that Dying Matter is a Rui song, and
2. I guess this is basically canon confirmation that Rui is in love with Ageha? not that it hadn't been obvious so far but here they just flat out say it, not even in English or whatever like in Butterfly Knife, just flat out 愛してる、愛してる、愛してる/"I love you, I love you, I love you";
3. anyway that aside, tell me this is not going where the song implies it's going dear god Ageha, Rui, no, never mind poor Toki, also
4. 葬列の果てまで/"till end of your funeral procession" is just an absolutely amazing line, just... chef's kiss. This is Loulou*di, guys, they're not satisfied with the cheap dramatics of "until the end" or "beyond the grave" or whatever, no, it's "till the end of your funeral procession" because why be OK with a mere ten if you can turn it up to eleven. (Also, the visuals and implications it evokes are amazing. Hama Takeshi keeps doing it with this band, damn that man.)
***Dear god, Toki and Kaoru, My poor, poor Toki and Kaoru. Just... damn. That whole scene of them together. Oh god. Poor Toki. Poor Kaoru. Someone please help these boys.

looking back, maybe it was a bad idea to go out of their shelter abruptly without explanation. looking back, it would be obvious that six likely noticed. evidently, she had followed him—mono hears footfalls, knowing it’s her by the cautious and quiet way she walks.
he feels guilty; he shouldn’t have rushed off so abruptly, but… mono had lost his bag. he had lost what paper thin respite he had. he needed to hide his face. instinctively, mono uses his hands to do so. he still doesn’t turn to face six, barely peeking through his fingers to search for a head cover in this small junk pile.
“s-sorry if i made you worry,” he apologizes with a genuine tone despite his shyness, “didn’t mean to. jus’… don’t look at me. i need to get another paper bag…”

I know this is a writing blog but I'm starting a project that I am super proud of so I wanna share it and my progress as I work on it. (And yes, I am working on the requests I have received.)
So I got this box with a bracelet for Christmas and 3 am after I threw up (still sick with mono) I came up with an idea for it involving one of my all time favorite movies, Corpse Bride.
I had to tear the box up a bit and remove the rose and ribbon off the top. I want to paint the outside of the box with bits from the movie Corpse Bride and then paint the inside with Emily and Victor. There is more but I want it to be a surprise. Also hand and legs reveal.
As I progress with the project I'll make updates on it and still write my yandere junk.

The Watcher (mono x reader)
Chapter 8
Y/N Pov
We walked to the knocked over locker and hopped over it just as an abnormal sound entered the area "what the-" mono covered my mouth quickly shutting me up, suddenly we all heard the tap of high heels walking down the hallowing echoing around us dauntingly
Finally a door could be heard closing when the heels had faded away, I looked over at mono and spoke muffled "you can take your hand away now" he stared "what?" Sighing I licked his hand and he pulled it away in shock
I laughed watching him wipe his hand onto his pants "should have moved your hand away quicker" I could hear six laughing a bit as well, he looked over and I presumed he was giving me a glare from under his bag, I just stuck my tongue out at him
Turning away from him I stepped forward and tripped over a couple of books that were sprawled across the hallway "oh you are joking me!" Just as I was falling I felt mono tug me up "man.. falling for me again?" I shot a glare at him "no im falling for education apparently" I spoke pointing to the books and smirking
He shook his head and laughed, six spoke up "no you were definitely falling for him y/n" a pink blush dusted my cheeks and I looked away "no! Lets keep moving!" I marched away from them
Six turned to mono and smirked at him "y/n is in denial" he laughed and they both followed after me catching up effectively, I was peering at a bucket that was hanging from the ceiling by some rope 'well isn't that strange?'
Six walked forwards and we both followed after her, entering through the doorway the first thing we noticed was a ball laying down on the floor, mono seemed to like the ball as he headed towards it quickly "wait no don't-" I tugged him away just as he placed his foot onto a trap floorboard
A big bucket just like the one from earlier swung out and missed the both of us by a hare, I stumbled back and turned around checking to see if six was alright, seeing her fine I brushed my clothes off and looked down at mono "haha look who is at MY feet"
He grumbled incoherent words and stood up quickly I smacked his head a bit "also watch where you are walking dumbass" he sighed "they tricked me with a toy!" I laughed at his words as we walked on
There was a lamplight hanging down by some more rope just inches away from the floor, we all ducked under it and saw more lockers, spotting a little hole to the left I leaned near mono getting all close to his baggy head "over there" I pointed and he nodded
One by one we all crouched through it and emerged from the other end peeking out from under a desk like table, there were strange noises all around the area
Tilting my head we walked past more lockers just as I was about to place my foot down mono yanked me backwards and I collided with his warm chest "hey!" Sighing he shook his head "you didn't look at the floor silly theres a trap"
I looked down in embarrassment, covering it up quickly I moved away from his chest refusing eye contact 'whoops' this time six triggered the trap floor and not one.. but two piles of junk like buckets zoomed by hanging from more rope
We all walked forward and heard little taps of somethings feet running away from the area, I leaned my head over and looked down the hallway spotting some doll looking thing peeking over a locker "ew stalkers.." I guided six and mono to where it was
Six rolled her eyes at it and mono shrugged "I mean.. I would watch you too" he spoke slyly I looked over at him as surprise crossed my facial expression 'when did he get so flirty.. or am I just oblivious?'
Shaking off what he said I walked into the door ahead of us instead of heading towards the weird porcelain doll, slipping past the doorway I yelped and stepped back when a bucket fell from the door slamming onto the floor where I was previously standing 'I regret coming in here' mono stumbled inside "are you okay?"
Looking away from the bucket I saw and open vent and ran towards it ignoring mono but just as I was near it a creepy doll leaned up and shut the latch without hesitation "y/n don't ignore me" I heard him whine
Sighing I looked over at him "yes im okay" he nodded and grabbed onto my hand pulling me out of the room quickly, six whispered and we headed down the hallway to where the stalker doll was
Creeping down the hallway quickly we stepped onto another trap, looking up a huge locker slammed down from the ceiling landed onto the floor in front of us harshly, it caused dust to fly up making me cough and swat at the air
"Shit that was close" mono spoke out staring dumbfounded at the fallen locker I agreed, lifting myself up onto the locker I jumped over onto the sideways locker
Plopping down onto the floor I saw a duck like toy laying in the perfect spot I nudged mono and he spotted it too "its a trap" I could feel him roll his eyes at my words reminiscing the earlier events "yes im aware now"
I chuckled to myself and we triggered it carefully, a lamp swung over our heads as we crouched breathing heavily "what the hell? These dolls are sadistic!" Six nodded her head
Mono just grabbed the ducky and held it, I smiled at his figure before remembering my plan.. 'Thats right.. I can't get too comfortable..' I hummed and looked away from him when I felt my nerves get fuzzy from staring for too long
We hopped onto the lamp and jumped onto the desk that had a picture and crayons abandoned that were sprawled about.
